I enjoyed it quite a lot actually  but it just felt like it was a set up thing rather than it's own thing and I mean that wouldn't really be a bad thing if it got a sequel but it's netflix so I guess we shall wait and see, It's still worth watching though.

Watched it last night. Very decent movie, good action and story. With that post-credit scene, I would hope they consider a sequel.

Yeah, definitely worth watching.

Buck and the Preacher (1972) - 7 out of 10

The fight was against the raiders... but the feud was between themselves!

The Civil War was over and by law the slaves were freed. But when the promise of land and freedom was not honored, many ex-slaves journeyed out of the land of bondage in search of new frontiers where they could be free at last. They placed their hopes in the hands of the few black wagonmasters that knew the territories of the West. None of this came easy, for for not only did they have to overcome a hostile wilderness, but Nightriders and bounty hunters were hired by persons unknown to hunt them down and turn them back to the fields.

This picture is dedicated to those men, women and children who lie in graves as unmarked as their place in history.

Luckily, our film creator gets the help of his friends. The definition of Cult Classic. Not many will get this, but for those few...it's Cinema Gold.

So, I just watched this movie called Vivarium on Amazon Prime. Since I literally just finished it, I am not sure if it was any good or not. I am currently standing here trying to figure it out. It is one of those bizarre movies that ends weird and leaves you thinking. I am however starting to think that Jesse Eisenberg is a bad actor. He has played several roles with completely different characters but for some reason he acts the same in them all. It is like there is no depth to the guy. But then again, I am not an actor and I have no idea how hard it is to be one. So what do I know.

Just know to lower your expectations for Part III.  A significant drop off.

Rocketman (2019) - Rotten Tomatoes

Review: 10/10

I adore Elton John, and I'm glad he let us see him in his raw glory. Honestly thought the entire movie would be all about how great Elton is/was/will always be, but they showed him at his worst as well. You get to see Elton go head first into rock bottom in beautifully shot sequences. I didn't expect the movie to be more like a musical than a docu-pic but it surprisingly works due to Elton's life (at least mostly his adult life) being one continuous performance both on and off stage, so in a way it makes complete that a docu-pic about him would be staged as a musical.

The scenes where Elton is singing are irresistibly gorgeous. Came incredibly close to crying in the final scene/sequence of the movie. Beautiful movie, and Taron and the costume/make-up team did an unbelievable job making us believe it was Elton in the movie.

Pauly Shore was that weird 90s phenomenon where he was never funny but he made a ton of movies. I mean I probably watched all of them growing up (a few times) but rewatching them now they are painful to sit through (except a Goofy Movie...that is still awesome).

I mean Encino Man and Biodome were a couple of my go to comedies when I was a kid.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - 2002

Seriously? It's been 18 years since, for reasons still unknown to me, I saw this in the cinema on a high school excursion for English class?!

Anyway, it's that time of the year where I find myself sitting down and watching through all of the Harry Potter films. I admit this one is my least favourite of the eight films, but I still get a kick out of watching it. Later tonight I'll be throwing on Prisoner of Azkaban
