igs63
Weekly Update #5! This week I was again distracted by other games, but did again manage to make a dent in the list by starting Oxenfree and getting my first playthrough done. I'm really wishing I'd put Journey to the Savage Planet on as my J game. There's no reason why I couldn't, I just didn't know I was going to get it when I entered the event. However, I found a friend keen to do the coop and we've ended up being very close to plat (94% currently, we just need to knock out the other ending and a speedrun really). However I have to warn everyone the game is super buggy in coop, which is sad really. We couldn't complete the final boss fight without my friend glitching out, so I had to complete it on my own, after which he joined and the final mission was fine as a coop, he also commented that when he started his own play through (since the bug locked him out of an endgame story related trophy) that there are actually a lot of things that the host sees which the coop partner does not. Other than that, it was extremely easy to accidentally get outside of the map, without any sort of intentional glitching or trying to find a way out. Oxenfree wasn't quite what I had initially expected but I certainly still enjoyed it. Two more playthroughs will see me with the plat. It's quite interesting but I think I will leave a lot more of my final thoughts until I've played a little more. I missed a few of the collectibles and am interested to learn more about the world. Popular Post iXanon
Update #3: Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (PS3) => ? Far Cry 3 (PS3) => 12% Yes, I know.. I'm a dirty horrible slacker - but hey, I finally got my first completion done! It's my first ever time doing a complete runthrough of Castle of Illusion, with my previous experience of the game being just a couple of levels of the remake on Xbox 360, and playing it's sequel on the Mega Drive (Genesis). Difficulty wise its not so bad, I struggled a little with the Library boss (Licorice Dragon) and the final boss (Mizrabel) but cleared them both after a few attempts. Luckily the game throws extra lives at you to the extent that it may as well not have such a system. I played my first runthrough without guides and managed to collect 60+ diamonds on all levels with 75 to be collected on each, 2 of 5 playing cards, 2 of 5 chilis, and missed only a couple of castle statues. So I didn't really have too much to finish off while using guides on my second runthrough, though I'd probably still be struggling with the remaining diamonds for weeks and months to come had I have not used guides at all. It's a charming little game and despite my lack of previous experience with this particular title, it did give me a nostalgia hit of other retro platforming games such as James Pond. Really enjoyable. I've also made a start on Far Cry 3, since I didn't really fancy going back to Alice: Madness Returns just yet.. I'll leave doing a write up until I finish it, but so far so good! I have included Vanquish on my list as PS4 platform, but Bayonetta as PS3 since I was pretty much copy pasting titles from my private list done before they announced it. The question is is ok if I play it on PS4 instead PS3 - want to minimize my PS3 list of games to play and get rid of if before PS5 comes out. Han_the_Dragon
I kind of forgot to do my usual Sunday update, so,I'm now making a "late sunday update" (ya, it's Monday afternoon here...) I didn't played much for the event, since I'm still focusing on FF8, and I platinum Rainbow Skies as part of my backlog clean up... Still, I managed to do more progress for this event than last week, since I complete another Trophy List, but no new letters yet.. yes, the "Trophy List" in question was just the silly Jurassic Park Episode 1.. Edit: I also learned that my Sly Collection disc is useless, and I need to replace it to be able to play the games (Sly Minigames are disc only), now looking for a copy at a reasonable price.. The only game I actually played in this time was Killzone, which I've moved from 0 all the way to 41%. I've completed the entirety of the co-op and about half of the first campaign playthrough, and have also finished the weapon grinding in multiplayer. Some of the ability grinding in MP looks to be a proper pain though so it will probably be a slow process of doing it off and on throughout the month. My goals for the coming week are to hopefully be able to set up boost sessions for games on the list I've not yet started, finish Killzone's campaign, and make a push towards finishing GTA IV's story. I have a couple hours of MP DLC left, then the big Elite mode campaign playthrough, so I should still be able to get that done this month. It's a decent enough game but the MP was quite annoying. Definitely felt like a relic of a much different era despite releasing in the PS4's lifespan. Going to find something new and fun to start tonight Might do Unravel Two since it's a shorter one with no MP.

Popular Post AuroraHistoire
MAGES. & Her Assistants This week I completed Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1. Re;Birth1 is technically a remake of the PS3 title Hyperdimension Neptunia but it's the type of remake were it's almost a completely different game. Re;Birth1 plays identically to Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (Hyperdimension Neptunia very different compared to Victory) and looks the same as Victory. The story is barely the same as the original game; 90% of the story is changed in a minor or major way. Honestly, I like the story in this game a lot more since all of the less interesting parts are gone and the game is a lot snappier. The story is told in visual novel style cutscenes that are 90% jokes about gaming, anime, 4th wall breaks and the characters themselves and 10% actual plot development. The writing (jokes not the actual plot) is the best part of most Neptunia games. While not doing story things, you explore dungeons, do mostly typical turn-based RPG combat and collect materials to use in new remake system. The remake system unlocks items in the shop, new dungeons and gameplay modifications (more EXP, weaker enemies, better item drop rate, ect.) in exchange for the viable materials you find on the ground or monsters you slayed. The game is very short for a turn based RPG. I got all the trophies in 35 hours of gameplay. About 6 of those hours were spent killing the same monster with MAGES., Rom and Ram for credits to use to get the 100 million credit trophy. That trophy is a little painful even if you enjoy grinding but the rest are not difficult. The game has a individual trophy for every single party member to reach level 99. I got ten of those in 2 minutes of eachother and I got everyone (aside from a couple stragglers) from level 50-60 to 99 in under one hour. The full game list is in the spoiler tag. Popular Post igs63
Weekly Update #6! Finished Oxenfree this week. While the game is one of those types that can leave you with more questions than answers, I think it was pretty good. I enjoyed the twist on the new game plus, how it mixed up the game's story a little on the basis that I had already played once, even skipping parts I had already seen (this all makes sense within the story's concept). The only parts I really didn't enjoy were doing a whole playthrough without talking (since the gameplay is basically all about making dialogue choices) and to be honest, doing a mean playthrough as well. In the mean playthrough it honestly felt like a lot of the characters were just bipolar rather than outright mean. There's one part toward the end of the game where another character tells me "I'm glad we met" or something along those lines, even if I've chosen the meanest sounding options the whole time. Like it just doesn't quite work 100%, like I've blamed them and ignored them and done terrible things the whole time but they're still glad. But, I guess that's the difficulty with these choice-based kind of games. Not sure what I'll start next now, probably another PS4 game with the whole Playstation celebration event thing coming up. I did however finish the multiplayer in Batman Origins and I'm slowly chugging through finishing off my AC games, so after those are all out of the way probably I'll start the PS3 titles on this list. It's all progress! I've got the multiplayer out of the way in Naughty Bear by joining a session with @Andrea9281, but from what I've played it's going to be a long old slog for the platinum and it didn't seem to be particularly enjoyable. I've found Yooka-Laylee to be distinctly average so far in comparison with the likes of Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot, but at least it seems playable. It reminds me a little bit of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. Plague Inc: Evolved I've played before on my mobile phone so I knew exactly what I was getting into with it, and it's the one I've enjoyed playing the most this week.. There seems to be some pretty decent guides available for the majority of the trophies, so it may be the next completion to aim for. neospoon
Update time. In my last update I said I was probably going to play Medal of Honor Frontline. Well that turned out kind of different. That game did not age that well and I was not really feeling it. So I decided to pick up American Fugitive again. A really nice looking Twin Stick game, which is a genre a wanted to explore more this year anyway, Story was fun gameplay was fun and it looked the part. Until I reached the time trials... It took everything away from the great experience I had so far, which is a shame because the base game is solid. Eventually I’ve managed to get all time trials gold and with that pop the platinum. I’ve started working on the DLC but for now I kind of want to play something else. Call of Duty MWR or Guacamelee 2 is next.I kind of want a short and not too difficult game so I’ll probably go for Modern Warfare Remastered. v The complete list v Spoiler American Fugitive (95%) Brutal Legend>>Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (57%) Control (15%)Detroit: Become Human Erica (11th Jan 2020)Fear Effect Sedna Guacamelee 2 (12%)HydrophobiainFamous 2 Jak 2 Killer is Dead Life is Strange: Before the Storm (2nd Jan 2020) Meow Motors (1st Jan 2020) Need for Speed Heat (5th Feb 2020)Okami HD Prince of Persia: Sands of TimePrince of Persia: Warrior WithinPrince of Persia: The Two Thrones (the)Quiet manRuinerSega Bass Fishing The Hong Kong Massacre (24%)Unravel 2 Valentino Rossi The Game (10th Feb 2020)WetXMedal of Honor: Frontline (1%)Yakuza 0Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Edited March 2, 2020 by neospoon

Popular Post SpaceCoresDad
Well, this month was pretty long and left not a lot of time for games, but I do have an update for it! Along with some things from late January I was waiting until I had something substantial to post with them. Here's the chart: I is for Infamous First light was a great time. I really thought I did a writeup here for it, but I guess not! It's a standalone DLC thing for inFamous Second Son, but it has its own platinum and I never played it so I'm calling it its own game. Short and sweet, though I do miss this series. I'm not sure if they'll ever bring it back, but I really hope they do. For old time's sake. G is for God of War 3 was fantastic, obviously. I'd been meaning to get to the end of Kratos's original story for some time now, and at last I finally managed to do it. The whole "saga" disc set is complete now, and I only have Ascension and the new one to play before I've done the whole series. Haven't had a bad experience with this series yet, and 3 definitely didn't disappoint. My favorite so far. N is for Need for Speed Payback was what took me so long this month. I'm not really a huge fan of racing games, but this was lent to me by my SO and thus I gave it a shot. It's fun! Not much to say on character development or anything, but it's a fair racing game that's easy enough for people terrible at it like me to get through and platinum. There are SO many side things though, it's not even funny. Took me almost a month to find the time to finally sit down and grind through everything. This is also the first one I've done for this challenge that had DLC, so that had to be done too. Thankfully, Speedcross was both fun and quick to get through, so nothing major. 6/30 done! A decent pace so far I think. Hopefully March will prove more lucrative for completions.
Popular Post brejdak93
There was no update from me for a while, but here it is with 3 games completed: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Great story, great gameplay and (not) great multiplayer mode. While I loved the singleplayer game (it feels so good if game let's you do non-lethal playtrough), Breach mode is ass. It was purely made for lootbox/microtransactions reasons, but thanks to Energy glitch you can complete it quite fast including DLC. For singleplayer games there is massive amount of missable trophies, but game is quite short. On perma death mode, where I was focusing only main missions, it took me around 4 hours to finish it. Both times did stealth/non-lethal run (and unlike Human Revolution you can not kill literally nobody - HR made you kill a bosses) Really recommend if you like cyberpunk and stealth-oriented gameplay. Hollow Knight One of the best metroidvanias on this generation. Still that was my 2nd playtrough so it wasn't as good as playing it for first time, but still had great time. If you like indie games and you still didn't played it, fix it asap. Zero Escape: The Nonary Games Two first games of the ZE Trilogy. It's a visual novel with logic puzzles. Since it is a VN I don't want to spoil much of the story, but it's about group of people being locked and forced to play a deadly game. The story is crazy and with every next ending it's going deeper and deeper. A must play for VN fans. Alice Madness Returns (PS3) Bayonetta (PS4) Caladrius Blaze (PS4) Deus Ex MD (PS4) Everybody's Gone to Rapture (PS4) Final Fantasy X2 (PS4) God Eater (Vita) Hollow Knight (PS4) Infamous (PS3) Jak 2 (PS4) K-(SWAPx2) The Surge (PS4) + Infamous 2 (PS3) The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (PS4) Metro 2033 Redux (PS4) Nioh 2 (PS4) Onimusha Warlords (PS4) Papers, Please (Vita) - 100% Q-(SWAP) Danganronpa V3 (Vita) Resonance of Fate (PS3) Sleeping Dogs (PS4) Thronebreaker Witcher Tales (PS4) Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception (Vita) Vanquish (PS4) Witcher 3 (PS4) XCom 2 (PS4) Yakuza 4 (PS4) Zero Escape The Nonary Games (Vita)
Popular Post flashpool23
Haven't been here in a while but there's now one more completion for my list (here) # game completed (1 of 1) - 2064: Read Only Memories A visual novel set in the future, 2064 R.O.M. is worth playing through. It is self aware (just look at the trophy list details if you have it on your system) and has everything one would expect in a futuristic cyberpunk adventure. Self aware robots? Check. Human/animal hybrids? Check. Technology dominant presence? Check. Broken froyo stands? Check. Spoiled milk too! And Christmas time is within the next week. It's seemingly all there! Now that's not to say there were no quirks because there were (a part involving a password but the buttons weren't responsive at times there, an arcade game that required a high score needing quick reaction time, a trophy requiring not being hit and destroying the enemies too either with the directional buttons or touchpad for movement and a delay in the "shooting" button, and a playthrough that required completion without reloading a save file or stopping anytime were all sources of frustration and annoyance). It's all doable though but might take more than a single try. As far as recommending it? I would. The characters and story are well written in most parts and although the "villain" was predictable, they also weren't. It's something I can't exactly get into without spoiling things but you'll definitely come to either have companions or not at the end and that's where the strong writing shows. Oh! And this game has a large trophy count compared to some others (65!) if you're into trophy hunting ?
insainraven
So I have to unfortunately withdraw from the competition. It's nothing dramatic but I have been given a job opportunity that will remove me from gaming for about three months and Completing the competition will be impossible. So dude who has the spreadsheet wanna save you some time. Good luck to All of you! Edited February 28, 2020 by insainraven
