Post Your Newest PS3 Game

Just when I thought I was done buying PS3 games. After the announcement of the new Wolverine game coming...I got the urge to play this as I never did before and have always heard great things. Cost a little more than I wanted to pay, but it's hard to find otherwise.

While I was waiting for some games I bought to arrive, I looked at a local store and I found this new copy, I already planned on buying this but seeing it on a local store really save me a lot of time waiting for the game to arrive to my country. So glad to have this forgotten gems on the PS3!

I was looking for the US version but I couldn't found a nice condition copy for a good price, thankfully this version is very common on Ebay, still not cheap but at least is something I can afford, I paid quite a bit to have this physically but nothing to crazy for a new copy. I'm happy this finally arrived, since Ratchet and Clank games where the ones that introduced me to this awesome world of gaming so many years ago.

There's no end collecting something retro or next gen in collectors perspective. if you an archivist you only buy stuff you only like the most, keep the games that mostly you Like and sell some stuff you don't need to

I don't mind finding more games I am interested in playing. It's just when I think I found everything I could care about for a system, I find something else. I have stopped buying for a couple consoles though since I felt like my collections for them are complete so I know I'll stop buying PS3 eventually.

Went to Venice about 8 years ago now, but family have been back since. I mentioned that AC2 was set partly in Venice, and that it would be fun to pick it up at some point.

 

Well my dad was in a charity shop, and saw it for about £2 so picked it up for me haha. Excited to play it at some point, as I've never played a AC game (except from the Black Flag demo)

Probably not tbh, but PS3 games are at that age where you can pick them up dirt cheap from charity stores, so I'd be tempted to pick up some more PS3 AC games at some point (if the plats are still obtainable).

 

I've said on other threads that I was largely just a FIFA and COD player when I had my PS3, didn't get into trophy hunting until a lot later, like 2017. So I want to go back and pick up some PS3 games I never had the chance to play, like Skate 3 being the main one.

 

That was the original plan for the charity shop thing haha, my dad goes in them a lot because he collects a lot of CD's, so I would normally just be stood there looking at stuff. So to solve that, my mission each time was to find a PS3 game for cheap that I had never played lol. Unfortunately with Covid, that stopped all of that! I know I could make it lot easier by going on Amazon, Ebay, MusicMagpie etc, but it's more fun when you find it in-person y'know

I have to admit, I didn't even know that they also released this on the PS3. I wonder which should I blame: the fact that the game is located on the bottom on the PS Store when searching for Ratchet & Clank games or that the game is known in Europe as Ratchet: Gladiator? You decide.

 

Anyway, I'm aware of that the game is not as as good as the trilogy, but since I've never played it before, I might as well check it out. And yes, I'm aware of that it comes free with Full Frontal Assault (QForce in Europe), but it didn't mention anything like that in the description. Besides, I've decided to pass on that game for reasons.

The last few games from this series that I was missing. With these now bought, I own all the games released for the PS3 (minus All 4 One and QForce, as well as Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank for the PSP). I guess you know what I'm planning? The goal is to play every one of them, but that won't happen till I get a PS5. It's basically going to be a marathon, just so I can experience this series. I might play the ones I excluded, but that isn't 100% guaranteed.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes: I'm not sure if I've posted about this one, yet. I ordered it some time ago, & then forgot about it until I went through some boxes. Anywho, finding a copy of this game (at a reasonable price) was sort of a challenge. This is another already played game, it's my fastest platinum even, & my introduction to the Holmes' games from Frogware. My original copy was traded, instant regret there. That should be fixed. Now if we can only convince Frogware to do a physical release for Chapter One.
