The NL coach calls it 'provocating pressure' football. Let the attacking team do their thing, give them a feeling of opportunity and hit hard on the counter. Aside the first chance for Pulisic this was executed pretty well. It needs some luck and you'll have to rely on the opposing side to be unable to break the tactic. It worked today, but will most likely not be successfull against a strong side as Argentina.

Did anyone note Xavi Simons coming on in the final minutes? Remember his name, he has all the ingredients to become a top player.

A super save right at the end kept them alive

Martinez needs an open goal double the size to score today

- Lautaro scored 2 goals and were nulified by no reason.

- 2 shots: 2 goals in the first match.

- Di Maria injured, Lo Celso Injured too.

- 30m shot from a team with no shots or plays before, turns into goal at the 70th minute.

- Every team has played extremely defensive against us.

But Argentina is lucky lol

me neither. the americans couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo if their lives depended on it.

makes you wonder how england drew against that overhyped shower of shit.

before the match, across forums and on youtube channels, american fans deluded themselves in thinking they'd win this match, LOL. alexi lalas and other journos making stupid predictions based on irrational (and frankly, non-footballing) reasons. good to see this arrogant bunch brought down to earth with a dose of reality. but i see the hype has now transferred to 2026 where yanks will think they'll be the hot shit again. insufferable tools, the lot of them.

i won some money placing a bet today that depay will score - so i am happy!

lol, your contest hatred of all things American is pretty funny.  Did an American bang your gf and make you watch?

- Idk why you're bringing up the Saudi Arabia game still, you got beat

- You could have a 100 shots and score 2 goals it's still 2 goals

- They're overated

- It's still a goal even if it's lucky

- You was on the back foot after the goal

Idk if you understand football but even if you dominate a team if you scrape by then you're still lucky and just because Argentina dominated Australia they still only scored 2 goals and were very lucky it didn't go to extra time after making a block on the line and a save at the very end which was a lucky save.

With Argentinas players they should have put in more goals than they did and would have got punished by a better team

Are you 11? this is the world cup, not a league match lol. Winning 2-0 is a great result, 2-1 is tight, nothing more. And calling "overrated" a CL winner because you don't like it⁉️

It was 2-1 and being the world cup makes it even more lucky to survive to the next stage. We've already seen giants knocked out with much better squads than Argentinas and it happens every time. Di Maria won the CL how long ago? He's been a flop since Man Utd and everyone in a squad that wins the CL is a CL winner. Doesn't neccessarily make them world class. He was good back in his prime but that was a long time ago.

Calling someone 11 as a defence against your opinion shows your intelectual argument at it's finest but it doesn't matter. Argentina were lucky to survive and they need to play a lot better to get far, that's just facts. Idk why you're even getting so defensive because they're not a bad team and I've not once said that, in fact they should make the finals with the players they have but they need to play a lot better than today to do so.

I'd really hoped for Australia to score that last goal, Argentina was really lucky that they played against a worse team than then, but i don't see then winning against Netherland lol, it's not like they played really well, and for a team such as Argentina you shouldn't win with only 2 - 1, after that goal from Australia they really went into stress mode
