Popular Post stuthesheep
Update time, with another Bingo in the books now. Good times. Top corner first off, and B1 is marked off with Oxenfree. A mystery game where your dialogue choices affect relationships and whatnot and how your hipster friends feel about you at the end of the game. Despite needing four playthroughs for the plat I never could bring myself to be friendly to Clarissa though. Next is one I've been meaning to get to, so N1 is done with Firewatch. Bought it in a sale a couple of years back after listening to all the positive stuff about it, but despite the hype I've seen for it it stayed unplayed for a while - never quite seemed to have the desire to pick playing a walking sim over something slightly more exciting. It was a decent way to spend a few hours I suppose with a semi-engaging mystery (that never quite delivered in the end IMO) but I'm not sure my life was enriched a whole lot by eventually getting round to playing it. Guess I'm much more of an adrenaline junkie than I thought. Lastly, do you like dinosaurs? Yes? Do you like bugs? Yes? Then do I have a game for you! B3 is marked off with Jurassic World Evolution 2, a park builder sim. Now tbf I mostly really enjoyed it and put in lots of hours, but for a game that's been out for almost two years the amount of irritating bugs I ran into was absolutely shocking - dinosaurs randomly freezing, teleporting outside their fences, resetting their territory, forgetting to eat or drink etc etc. Nothing game-breaking - that bug was saved for the DLC...If you want to play a dinosaur game, play the first one. It's a shame as it improved on quite a bit of what the first one did, but it was an endlessly frustrating experience. Not too keen about how the spoiler tag looks in the new dark mode, but I've started so I'll finish. Just need to squint a little more to update it than before! Spoiler IB1 (Player Choices) Oxenfree 10/8 1 (No Jump Button) Life is Strange: True Colors 14/6 N1 (Meaning to Play) Firewatch 13/7 G1 (Mystery) The Suicide of Rachel Foster 27/4 O1 (DLC) Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist 13/1 B2 (Fantasy) Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy 17/3 I2 (Crafting) Assassin's Creed: Rogue 18/2 G2 (Hype) Horizon Forbidden West 18/4 B3 (Simulator) Jurassic World Evolution 2 4/8 N3 (Player's Choice) Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales 22/6 G3 (Vehices) Uncharted: The Lost Legacy 29/6 O3 (Vistas) Far Cry Primal 24/5 N4 (Banned) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 26/4 G4 (No Humans) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 17/6 O4 (Exclusive) Astro's Playroom 17/3 B5 (Snacks) Maneater 26/5 G5 (Racing) F1: 2016 11/6 O5 (Reboot) God of War 4/3 Off to the opticians now. Cheers.

It says there is an issue with imgur at the bottom of the message box when I try. Any help is appreciated as I am about to pop a plat that could be used for one of the boxes so hopefully it will count. Thanks. Try again now, the update may have fixed it. If not, I use imgbb but that wasn't working for me either the past couple days. Hopefully it gets resolved with this update lol.

Popular Post AgentPenguin08
With Gorgeous Vistas: Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time Well that was hard. Pairing this challenge with the 1-10 Difficulty Challenge meant slow progress, but I have completed it and can now focus on this one! I doubt I'll finish the entire card this year but I think I can get a line or two done.
Popular Post Flitterbloom
Hello there, Once again, I seem unable to focus on one bingo line/column, but I made some progress on my second card so here I am: Gylt for the No jump button. I enjoyed the game for its thematic (bullying) but got frustrated for how it was treated (not gonna spoil here, no worries), even though the game is great! Ender Lilies is for Metroivania (or Rogue-like). I've been wanting to play this game for sooooo long, but had to wait for a physical copy (thank you LRG!). I really loved the story, the atmosphere and, of course, Lily. This was also my 100th platinum, I preserved the milestone for this game and was not deceived. Between this one and Afterimage I guess Metroidvanias kinda grow on me... The Wild at Heart is for (Arcade, Rhythm, or) Puzzle. My first "Pikmin-like", and probably not my last. When I chose to play it I thought "Seems cute, colorful..." and after Ender Lilies I needed something a little more "joyful". Well, I chose poorly in this regard I guess 😅 ; but I had fun. Nice little game, even though a little too predictable (thanks to the foreshadowing). Carto was Non-violent. Cute little game once again, I had a lot of fun toying with the maps so I could reach my objectives quicker! Trials of Mana is for In a Serie New to You. My 1st "Mana licence" game ; I played the demo when it went out, enjoyed it but never took the time to play it entirely before. I love elves so, obviously, my first playthrough was Riesz's and I got caught, finally platinumed it. Haven is By an Indepedant Developper. I played it full co-op with my significant other who's also a gamer. None of us enjoyed the game and we had to push ourselves to the end of it so we could "move on" from it. I didn't hate it, but the controls seemed clumsy to me during exploration, story-wise it seemed pretty basic and in my opinion the characters were also... quite poorly written. Seeing how most people seem to love this game, I felt a little stupid, maybe I missed something while playing? Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tales Adventures is for Underplayed. I liked the movies, I love Mavis but was not really interested in the other Hotel Transylvania game. There was 410 players (on the PS4 list ; 534 on the PS5 one) when I platinumed it, I seized the opportunity. I had fun meeting up with the characters I loved from the movies, the game's not perfect, a little clumsy (particularly in the last story) and I ran into some bugs... but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm now (hopefully) on my way to check "Cooperative Game" (with It Takes Two, there was no way we were gonna stay on that "Haven" experience!) and "Side-scrolling" (with Blasphemous), so... still no line in sight 🤣. Have fun everyone! Edited August 23, 2023 by Flitterbloom

Popular Post Yuber6969
Finished Persona 3 Portable for the "Metroidvania or Rogue-like" category! The game has rogue-like elements. Spoiler Gensou SkyDrift (Underplayed) Sly 2: Band of Thieves (Anthropomorphized Animals) - Every character in this game is an anthropomorphized animal. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (That You Meant to Play Last Year) - Self-explanatory. Smoots Summer Games (That You Can Beat in One Sitting) - The story equivalent can be finished in about an hour. The plat can also be finished in one sitting if you have the skill for it (which I didn't). Bakumatsu Rock: Ultra Soul (Historical Fiction or Mythology) - The story takes place in the 19th century. RWBY: Grimm Eclipse (With Gorgeous Vistas) - The game has some vistas. The Language of Love (Banned/Censored in a country) - https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/85087-list-of-censored-games-ps5-ps4-vita/ Boxer (Arcade, Rhythm, or Puzzle) Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator (That Takes "Forever" to Beat) - Online trophies and the trophy for getting 150 badges are very time consuming. Hawken (free to play) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 (reboot or spiritual successor) - This is a remake of the second Neptunia game. Both the original and the remake act like the first game did not happen. Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (peripheral-based) - This game is meant to played with a drum controller, so that's the peripheral. Skullgirls 2nd Encore [Black Dahlia DLC] (DLC Pack or Standalone DLC) Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (Releasing Your Inner Weeb) Million Arthur: Arcana Blood (Spawned an Expanded Universe) - A TV series was made based on the Million Arthur game series. Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Three New Boxes Down! Game: Sifu Box: "You Think You Will Dislike" Well, that's a weird box for me, since I try to give all games the benefit of the doubt going in, but I'm not hugely into brawlers, and had heard some stuff about Sifu, so I figured there was a good chance I might dislike it... ...and I did! 🤣 It's a pretty weak, low-effort game - it has some ideas, but feels less like a full game, and more like a half-finished, 5-short-level tech demo of what might have been an interesting fighting system... if they had put in the work to develop it. It's not got much of a narrative, but really just stitches together a series of scenes stolen from kung-fu or kung-fu adjacent films that the devs saw once, and what narrative there is is consistently undercut by a pretty bizarre "ageing" mechanic, whereby the timeline of the game makes absolutely no sense. It has a complicated combo system that isn't much to write home about, since only 2 or three moves are actually worth using, and the camera swims around drunkenly, obscuring the action half the time. It does look nice, but the gameplay is extraordinarily one-note, and never feels particularly fun to engage with, or satisfying to beat. Game: Star Trek: Resurgence Box: "Featuring a Romance or Romance Option" A pretty good Telltale-style game in the Trek universe. It has a lot more in the way of mini games than the old Telltale model - stealth sections, shooting, flying shuttlecraft, interactive technology etc. and all of those elements are pretty rudimentary, TBH - but the draw here is the choose-your-own-adventure storytelling, and that is on point. Feels true to the Trek universe - in particular the 90s TNG/DS9/Voyager era stuff, and the narrative is genuinely engaging all the way through! Has an optional romance (as seen in the trophy list) - and this is, in Trek tradition, relatively chaste and innocent, and primarily a driver to a larger narrative hook - but it's there nonetheless! Game: Tetris: The Grand Master Box: "Retro Re-Release (Originally Without Trophies)" An Arcade Archives release of a decent - if a little bare-bones - arcade version of Tetris, released in Japan in 1998. It's an interesting curiosity for the Tetris fan, with some interesting concept changes (such as rotating, rather than linear, speed changes, and "ranks" rather than straight "levels" of speed), and has a cool visual oddity, with a thick white line outlining the combined play-blocks, and a simple vs. mode. Popular Post voodoo_eyes
B1 - Shantae and the Seven Sirens - Has a speedrun trophy that can be done n one go I1 - Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One - Has been around in book format for a few years. G1 - Martha is Dead - It's more of a mystery thriller than a horror game. I2 - Beyond a Steel Sky - mediocre adventure game, has an AI as a buddy (Joey) I4 - Stranger of Paradise - Enjoyable game, with poor inventory management I5 - Tormented Souls - Spongy enemies and clunky controls. For some nostalgic, not for me though. O2 - Fobia St. Dinfna Hotel - Solid, but a lot of clipping issues and the combat is not great. (Won Brazilian Game of the Year) O5 - Hard Reset Redux - Another game with lots of robot enemies N1 - Shadow Warrior 2 - Probably the most fun Shadow Warrior game in the series N5 - Ravenous Devils - a decent sim that's a bit buggy Edited August 26, 2023 by voodoo_eyes

Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
BINGUS BONGUS #4 and #5 completed: A few weeks back I've completed Ratchet and Clank 3 for the Non Human Sidekick square, but I don't want to tell you about the game, I want to talk about my experience. It's the first game I've streamed from start to finish with my PS+ Premium membership and I was surprised how clean and smooth everything was running. I had a hickup once, but after restoring my licenses everything was fine again. It happend straight after I installed the beta system software which was probably the reason. I've also completed Wolfenstein Youngblood, which is censored in Germany for the Censored square. They "completly" changed Hitler, taking away is mustache and renaming him. The game itself is grindy garbage with 75% of my total playtime being the grind for money and kills.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Second last Box Down! Game: The Cave Box: "Released the Year you Joined PSNP" A pretty awesome Puzzle Platformer / Adventure Game hybrid from Ron Gilbert! It's not the easiest thing for me to find new games I want to play from the year I joined PSNP (2013) - but glad I finally played this one, because it's right up my alley, yet for reasons passing understanding, I just never got around to it in the decade since I got it!
Popular Post Finch_III
A very slow month for me gaming-wise. I was crazy busy with work, so I only got one platinum all month: G2 – Historical Fiction or Mythology For this game, I had several options, including a few in my backlog. But I actually ended up choosing a game on PS Plus Premium that I'd never played before – Circus Electrique. In terms of gameplay, it's kinda a Darkest Dungeon clone, but with circus performers instead of dungeon adventurers. The theme is actually remarkably similar to a deck-builder called The Amazing American Circus. It has many of the same performers, the same circus management system, the same gameplay style and pseudo-roguelike features. Anyway, I really enjoyed this. I'm a big fan of Darkest Dungeon, so it scratched that itch. Why is it historical fiction? Well, it's set in an alternative Victorian London, and mentions historical figures of the time (including PT Barnum). But it's clearly a fictitious, steam-punk version of London, with machinery and gadgets that didn't exist then (or now). I actually found the game quite tricky tbh. I thought the Difficulty rating of 5 on PSNProfiles was a bit stingy. I found it about as challenging as Darkest Dungeon, as your characters were often very weak and could be one-shotted by most enemies critical attacks. What makes it easier is that you buy new circus performers at the same level as the ones that have just died ... whereas in DD, you had to start new characters from scratch. I think this gave me another Bingo line too. My last three tiles will take some time, as I'm playing some very long-ass games for them. Popular Post stuthesheep
Keeping up with the admin side of my 2023 card is proving to be a bigger challenge than the games themselves. Never mind. First off is N2 with True Fear: Forsaken Souls, which is a horror themed puzzle game. Or a puzzle themed horror game. Not quite sure. Basically it's a point and click adventure, with puzzles of varying levels of difficulties and a rather demanding time limit to do it in (if you're trophy-minded of course, which I assume most people on a trophy hunting website forum are). Story was engaging enough, wch is just as well as this game is Part 1 of 3. That led to marking off I5 with True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2. I5 is my Underplayed box, with only 652 players having played the EU version of this (and a further 250 taking on the NA version) - which is probably a large part of the reason Part 3 has been in development hell since 2018. Bit of a shame really, as it was an enjoyable few hours, much the same as the first one, puzzles were slightly trickier overall, but with no time limit this time - which was definitely a welcome change. Lastly we're going to a galaxy far far away, marking off O2 with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Probably the only game that's been on Essential in 2023 that I didn't already own on my backlog and actually had any desire to play (which makes the upcoming ridiculous price increase even harder to swallow), although admittedly it was mostly down to having the 2023 box still to tackle that made me choose this one to mark off the PS Plus box (spoiler alert). Not the biggest Star Wars fan, but enjoyed the game as soon as I got to grips with the mechanics, which took a lot longer than it really should have. Almost there! Spoiler B1 (Player Choices) Oxenfree 10/8 I1 (No Jump Button) Life is Strange: True Colors 14/6 N1 (Meaning to Play) Firewatch 13/7 G1 (Mystery) The Suicide of Rachel Foster 27/4 O1 (DLC) Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist 13/1 B2 (Fantasy) Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy 17/3 I2 (Crafting) Assassin's Creed: Rogue 18/2 N2 (Puzzle) True Fear: Forsaken Souls 1 21/8 G2 (Hype) Horizon Forbidden West 18/4 O2 (PS Plus) Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order 31/8 B3 (Simulator) Jurassic World Evolution 2 4/8 N3 (Player's Choice) Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales 22/6 G3 (Vehices) Uncharted: The Lost Legacy 29/6 O3 (Vistas) Far Cry Primal 24/5 N4 (Banned) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 26/4 G4 (No Humans) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 17/6 O4 (Exclusive) Astro's Playroom 17/3 B5 (Snacks) Maneater 26/5 I5 (Underplayed) True Fear: Forsaken Souls 2 22/8 (652 players at time of completion) G5 (Racing) F1: 2016 11/6 O5 (Reboot) God of War 4/3
DrBloodmoney
In honour of my final box - "With Player Operated Vehicles", and my soon to be complete trophy list for The Messenger, I need to ask one of the truly existential conundrums that shall be destined to baffle the great philosophers and thinkers for eons.... ...is a surfboard a vehicle? 🤔
