That’s playing with an eye on the trophies, and knowing the mechanics… but not just min-maxing and picking all the best characters etc. I’m not sure how fast it could be done by doing that stuff - it’s not a game I’d endorse that stuff for, cause it’s a game to be savoured! Hell, I’ve got a couple more playthroughs of one DLC still to go, having done about 15 runs of different scenarios so far… and I’m happy to do it! Sounds like I'll get my money's worth! That said, I might switch it out for my Kaleidoscope. I think Resident Evil Village will also count as grey (albeit not quite as good) and I'm using Resi for all the challenges I'm in this year haha.
Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion only has 122 owners (at least the EU version), so I’d say it counts for ‘Underplayed’. Not sure if people are put off by the cutesy art style, or the fact it’s pretty short, but I found it fun. I’ve put Lake down for ‘Has Minigames’, it has an arcade game that is surprisingly hard for such a chill walking simulator. There are no trophies related to playing it, but, as soon as the teenager started bragging about being the best in town, I knew I was going to have to knock her off the scoreboard
Popular Post ExHaseo
3 more games since my last update. I'll do them in the order I played them I5 - Last Game You Acquired - Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town - This was the last game I acquired when I started it. Fantastic game. I haven't been able to get into a farming game like this in a very long time. It was a lot of fun. It was just a bit light on content. Which makes sense. It's a remake of a GBA game that had a 3 year time limit. So everything was designed to be done fairly quickly. It did leave me wanting more though. N5 - Recommended by a PSNP Member - Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon - Recommended by Charizarzar. I dropped this one a while ago, and booting it up, I immediately remembered why. The concept and humor are great, but the game itself is pretty awful. For one, the game is incredibly dark. It's hard to tell what I'm doing a lot of the time. The framerate is also super low. It seems like it's set to around 24 fps, likely to get more of a film look, but that just doesn't work for video games. It just feels choppy. And also, it's set up like it's supposed to be a stealth game, but then they throw tons of enemies at you and don't really give you a lot of options to escape if you get spotted. I was playing on easy and still died quite a few times. Usually because someone I didn't see popped up behind me and called the 20 other guys over, then I'd run out of ammo after killing like 4-5 of them and get decimated. That last mission was fun though. I wish more of the game was like that. It would have been so much better. N3 - Player's Choice - Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town - Since FoMT left me wanting more, I decided to try this one. Ironically, PoOT it's kind of the opposite of FoMT. There's kind of too much to do. It can be a little overwhelming at times. Which is why I generally don't play modern farming games. I mean, there's farming normal crops, gathering materials, then gathering sprites to also gather materials, using maker machines to create new items, upgrading tools, there's mining, rebuilding parts of the farm, taking care of chickens, rabbits, sheep, multiple kinds of cows, alpaca, and goats. Then there's also pets you can get, you can expand your house, decorate your house, and decorate your farm. Plus there's a museum for you to fill with fish, animal statues that you get by taking pictures of wildlife, and treasures that you get by draining small puddles and ponds. On top of all of that there's crafting that requires various kinds of both raw materials, materials you can only get by putting raw materials into maker machines, and then materials you craft. Then there's also secret areas with mini-games and special objectives. And of course you have the social aspect of the game where you can get to know the townspeople and get married to one. This game also has a sort of storyline too, where you help the town improve to attract tourists. Which you do by fulfilling requests. But those aren't the only requests, there are random requests everyday as well. Plus you have 12 skills to level tied to different things you can do on your farm. And finally, there's titles you can gain by doing various things, that basically function like achievements/trophies, but there's significantly more in game. I may have forgotten a couple of things too. That's also all I have unlocked right now. More and more stuff has been unlocking pretty regularly. I know at the very least there's other areas with more stuff to do you can unlock. To put it simply, you have basically everything you can do in a Harvest Moon game, and almost everything you can do in Animal Crossing too. It is still fun though. Getting used to it just took some time. Just had to focus on certain things. There are still some kind of frustrating aspects compared to other games though. The biggest one is how raw materials are found. Instead of having a separate area from your farm to get materials, like in other games, your farm is just massive and constantly regrows stuff like trees and rocks. And everything grows ridiculously fast. Like, within about 3 in game days you're back to an overgrown mess. You can keep things from regrowing by crafting and putting down something like a brick path, but you need the materials to make new items. And the more you cover up, the fewer materials you get. So it's kind of an annoying thing to deal with. You either have a nice looking farm, or you get materials. I'm hoping that the further you get the less you need the materials, so I can start covering up more, but we'll see what happens. I'm still having fun with it, and there's still plenty to do, so I'm going to keep playing this one and go for the plat. It has been completed. Blackout baybeeeee! This was a lot of fun. It was nice being able to participate in an event that didn't require getting a plat, and I really liked having a good reason to branch out a bit. I found some good stuff that I wouldn't have found otherwise. I really want to try to go for a second blackout, but I have too many older games without trophies to play. I know I wont get to them if I'm still going for squares here lol. Maybe once I knock some of them out I'll re-roll a new card though. At the very least, I'm sure I'll be back for next year, if the event keeps going.

Popular Post Han_the_Dragon
Well, since I haven't made an update in a while, it's time to make one (I'm updating as cross with the Kaleidoscope event, since I'm trying to use each game for both events at the same time). I'm also asking for suggestions to cross fill both events. Currently I'm missing games for the colors: Light Green, Purple, Deep Purple and Blue. And from this event, Othercide, AC Rogue and Wild Arms are locked for both events (my image slots for those games are locked) I'm not making a long talk about what I have been on for the past months, but lets just say that I had a ton of fun (again) with Persona 3 and Persona 4!!! Popular Post Vanqishd
So, here's my first update! Current update: Spoiler I2 -> Has No Platinum Trophy: Welcome Park. A simple and easy game (mostly puzzles) that comes pre-installed with all PSVitas. Been meaning to play it for a very long time since it also has decent rarities, and since it was the only game I could think of that I owned and had no platinum trophy, there we go. N2 -> Has No Humans: Sackboy's Big Adventure. A very intense game "for children". Many levels are relatively hard, especially if you're playing co-op since you can bodyblock people, and the ultimate time trial trophy is especially painful. It took me around 3 hours of non-stop trying to finally get it (deathless under 10 min ultimate time trial run), and oh boy, this is definitely a trophy that will lock many out of the platinum. It's very frustrating for what the theoretical game audience appears to be, but hey, we trophy hunters are used to hard and tedious tasks. Overall a great and fun game, however. I really recommend it and can't wait to get another platformer (Sackboy, Astro, or whatever) anytime soon! O5 -> You Think You Will Dislike: Outriders. Oh boy, I was right. Not much I want to say about this game other than it's bad. Generic looter shooter from Square Enix. Please stop trying to make generic looter shooters and similar things. It's like so many developers are currently throwing shit at the wall to see if something sticks. It's painful to be a witness of how many games are dead on arrival because they just aren't it. Previous updates: Spoiler B1 -> I1 -> N1 -> G1 -> O1 -> B2 -> I2 -> N2 -> G2 -> O2 -> B3 -> I3 -> N3 -> G3 -> O3 -> B4 -> I4 -> N4 -> G4 -> O4 -> B5 -> I5 -> N5 -> G5 -> O5 -> That'd be my first update with the games finished after signing up. @Squirlruler should other games that I've beaten this year before signing up be added? Thanks.
Popular Post Copanele
2 more boxes ticked: No jump button - Wildcat Gun Machine - You have a dash and a grenade button, but no jumping! Aliens or robots - Dead or School - Despite the title, there's also robots in this game and they're central to the plot Has no humans - Darksiders - the game happens during the Apocalypse, all humanity has been wiped out By an independent developer - SkyScrappers - Developed by Ground Shatter Metroidvania or Roguelike - Hades[NEW] - it is a roguelike Cult Favorite - Demon Souls (PS5) - Not much to say about this one, it's self explanatory, the first of the Souls craziness Crafting Mechanics - Yakuza 5 - The plat asks you to craft all the weapons from Kamiyama Works. Which is one of the most painful things to do in the game Player's Choice - Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition [NEW] - still the best action game out there Has no platinum trophy - Chaos Code - PS3 version is platinum free Anthropomorphized Animals - One Piece Burning Blood - Tony Chopper is a reindeer who ate the human human fruit. Has snacks - Dead or Alive 6 - Snacks are available in Survival mode, they can heal you or give you extra points. With a # or Punctuation in the Title - Phatom Breaker: Omnia. The only thing this game is good for, an event Based on a Non-Gaming IP - Kill la Kill: IF - Based on the crazy Kill la Kill anime. Strategy, Simulation or Management - Yakuza 6 Song of Life - You have Simulation/Management in the Baseball minigame and Strategy in the Clan Creator minigame For Another PSNP Event - Street Fighter x Tekken - also used in The Ultra Rare Cleanup 2023 event. Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Two New Entries Down (and a second Bingo)! Game: Humanity Box: "Originally Released in 2023" A cool puzzle game this one - has a bit of a strange flow, since the later puzzles are a bit messier, and less focussed or interesting than the early ones, but it's got a really cool style to it, some super weird music, and some really bizarre and interesting visuals! For a "free-at-launch" game, this one is damned good! No other boxes left that fit, but since it released only a week or so ago, slots into the recently released box nicely! Game: Metal: Hellsinger Box: "Side Scrolling or Bullet Hell" A cool concept for a game - DOOM as a Rhythm game - and has some good aspects (the music and the visual design are cool, and it moves really well)... but it's let down quite a bit by a very poorly implemented lag configuration tool, some truly appalling hit-boxing (some of the worst I've ever encountered!) and a bit of a lack of variety in environments, enemies, and boss design. Definitely has a lot of elements of 3D Bullet Hell - the regular enemy fights have a lot of multi-bullet projectiles to avoid, but in the boss fights it really becomes bullet-hell-a-mundo, with dodging patterned waves of projectiles the main focus of the gameplay!

Popular Post Yen-Pop
OoooOooOOo gettin' close to a Bingo y'all! I used LEGO Movie: The Videogame for I3 Favorite Genre because not only am I a huge sucker for the Lego games as a whole, I'm an even bigger sucker for collect-a-thons. I love games that harken back to the platforming collectible-based games from the 90s (Banjo Kazooie, Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64 etc etc), and there's something easy and charming about the Lego games that really let you turn your brain off for awhile. While it's not one of the more involved or difficult ones, it was a fun little romp that also gave me a really good excuse to watch the movie. I'm hoping to knock out Stray next, but it makes my cat go craaazy; it's been hard to play it without her trying to jump in my TV to help the kitty in danger she sees hahaha Spoiler B1 Underplayed: B2 Spawned Expanded Universe: Sam & Max Save the World B3 Released Year You Joined PSNP: B4 In-Game Weather Effects: Horizon: Forbidden West B5 No Jump Button: Chicken Police I1 Gives You the Feels: Afterparty I2 Historical Fiction or Mythology: Assassin's Creed Valhalla I3 Favorite Genre: LEGO Movie: The Videogame I4 Peripheral Based: Paper Beasts I5: Adventure: N1 Been Meaning To Get To: LA Noir (PS3) N2 Cooperative Game: Chicory: A Colorful Tale N3 Player Choice: Untitled Goose Game N4 Developed in a Foreign Country: N5 Isometric View: Cult of the Lamb G1 Banned/Censored: G2 Anthropomorphized Animals: Spiritfarer G3 Frightening/Horror: The Dark Anthology: Man of Medan G4 Female Protagonist: Going Under G5 Based on Non-Gaming IP: Doctor Who: The Edge of Time O1 Started But Didn't Finish: Life is Strange 2 O2 Meant to Play Last Year: Twelve Minutes O3 Award Winning: Stray O4 Gorgeous Vistas: O5 Starts with First Letter of PSN ID: Yaga: Roots of Evil

Popular Post Flitterbloom
Hello there! Good news, I cleaned up my backlog a little, and that's two more games on the bingo : Salt and Sanctuary was the Oldest in my backlog, and after 5 years and 10 months I finally platinumed it! I had a lot of fun, more than I thought, I feared the game was gonna be pretty frustrating... it was not. I got carried by the Tachi and everything went smoothly (well, except for the Witch of the Lake that stole me 90+k gold... meanie). I'm definitely going to add Salt and Sacrifice to my to-do list now. Gravity Rush Remastered was on my backlog for too long too... 5 years and 6 months, but I'm done with it. I never finished its story because I had so many headaches playing this game, seems like I got used to its camera eventually. Not enough to be sure I'll play Gravity Rush 2 though. With this one I checked "that you started but didn't finish" which got me another bingo with the B column. I'm going for the "Ultra Rare Platinum" now (and maybe the racing if I need a little break from Jotun ?)

Popular Post Finch_III
My May update. Another three tiles scratched off, and my first Bingo line done! N1 – Ultra Rare Platinum – It may have taken me over 150 hours, but I finally managed to finish Binding of Isaac: Rebirth for my ultra rare (3.8% on PSNProfiles). Really enjoyed my time with this, and it's not a massively difficult game, despite having a 9/10 difficulty score. That said, I did use manual saves for my runs with The Lost ... if you're doing it fully legit, then it's definitely a 10/10 for me. With manual saves, I'd say it's closer to a 5-6/10. Either way, I'll probably pick up the DLCs at some point, as I love rogue-likes, and this is an archetypal game of the genre. N4 – You Think You Will Dislike – I was originally going to use Ghostrunner for this, as it was a great 'Red' colour for the Kaleidoscope challenge. I'm not a fan of first-person shooters, particularly ones that need pretty slick reactions. Unfortunately, I knew myself too well, and after about an hour of playing it, I couldn't even get past the tutorial without rage quitting and wiping it from my console haha. Instead, I played Bloodroots, which (ironically) has a similar premise to Ghostrunner in that all enemies one-hit kill you, except it's more of an arcade-y isometric type of game. Imagine Bastion mixed with Ghostrunner ... in the West. I bought it mainly because it was very cheap and it was also a great 'Red' game for the Kaleidoscope challenge. All in all, it was fine. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. N5 – Developed in a Foreign Country – I'm in the UK, and I platinumed Cat Quest for this tile. I don't have much to say about this game that hasn't been said by others. It's cute, super easy and a decent palate cleanser in between lengthier platinums. I probably won't bother with the sequel, but it was interesting enough to keep my attention for 10 or so hours. (PS: The developers are based in Singapore).

Popular Post gamer_darkly
Update No.2 Almost halfway through the year so thought I'd throw in an update. Got a few more filled in and juggled a couple that I have penciled in. Wasn't sure what do play for a game 'That Takes "forever" to Beat' but after seeing a couple of recent posts on the forum I decided to move Nioh 2 into that box. I plan on doing all the DLC as well and I've seen people talking about 100+ hours so I think it fits. Works out well as Trek to Yomi can take it's place in the 'Historical Fiction or Mythology' box. It's been on my wishlist for a while and it's one of the free games this month!!

The Language of Love (Banned/Censored in a country) - https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/85087-list-of-censored-games-ps5-ps4-vita/ Boxer (Arcade, Rhythm, or Puzzle) Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator (That Takes "Forever" to Beat) - Online trophies and the trophy for getting 150 badges are very time consuming. Hawken (free to play) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 (reboot or spiritual successor) - This is a remake of the second Neptunia game. Both the original and the remake act like the first game did not happen. Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (peripheral-based) - This game is meant to played with a drum controller, so that's the peripheral. Scourge: Outbreak (play as antihero or bad guy) - I didn't pay attention the story, but the female lead's character description sounded like one of an anti-hero. Skullgirls 2nd Encore [Black Dahlia DLC] (DLC Pack or Standalone DLC) Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (Releasing Your Inner Weeb) Million Arthur: Arcana Blood (Spawned an Expanded Universe) - A TV series was made based on the Million Arthur game series. Phantom Breaker: Omnia (HYPE!) - Trailer/In-game announcer. Red Faction: Battlegrounds (With Player Operated Vehicles) - Vehicle warfare game.

Popular Post BeesTrophies
I feel like I'm on a roll....fifth entry complete! Loved replaying Stray (I platted the PS5 version last year) I originally was playing this to slot it into with "cult classic" or "indie" but noticed it was released in July which happens to be my birth month! So I decided to slide it in there as I figured that might be a trickier one to check off down the road. With Player Choices or Multiple Endings: The Quarry Has Snacks: Dead Island 2 Underplayed (Owned by <1000 Players): The Light in The Darkness. (As of finishing it was owned by 324 people.) Based on a Non Gaming IP: Star Wars Jedi Survivor Released in your birth month: Stray As always bingo card is under the spoiler to save you lovely people from excessive scrolling ? Popular Post Charizarzar
Update #2, and 2 more games down! I'm not really going for these in any kind of logical order as pretty much every row has a game I'll have to psych myself up for unless I choose to swap them. Second column down is probably going to be the easiest but I'm still waiting for a sale for Planet of the Apes. Latest addition to the board is Chivalry II for "redeemed from PS Plus", which I'm hoping to start soon. Been weirdly looking forward to it despite the mixed reviews. New completions: With online features: Death Stranding. I did end up really enjoying this but came to think the end was never gonna be in sight! It just consumed so much of my time, lol. This was originally in the sci-fi category but since that one is so broad and I figured I might fit something else into it, I went for online features instead. While this game can be played offline and you never actually encounter other players in the (pixellated) flesh, it makes it much less enjoyable as the game pretty much revolves around using each other's structures and claiming/donating materials (I must admit I wasn't super charitable as I needed so much for myself, but I had a lot of luck as I never once had to repair a road thanks to others doing it for me). There are also a couple of trophies that require an online connection (like shouting into the air close to where a previous player has done the same thing), so there's that. Anyway, loved it, but glad to be done. One-word title: Deponia. I'm not sure what it is about this one that makes it so mediocre for me. The graphics look really nice, and despite being a point and click the puzzles (in my opinion anyway) were fairly challenging. It does have some amusing moments and definitely sets out to do just that, but I guess I just found the humour to be a little try-hard edgy. Completed games: Spoiler Riders Republic (racing or sports) A Plague Tale: Innocence (award-winning) The Town of Light (by an independent developer) Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments (with minigames in it) Dredge (with an isometric view) Death Stranding (with online features) Deponia (one-word title) Edited June 4, 2023 by Charizarzar
