Popular Post stuthesheep
Time for an update as a few more have been ticked off in the last month. First off is O3 and Gorgeous Vistas with Far Cry Primal. Set in the Stone Age and only reinforces the opinion that humans have ruined the planet. Plenty of spectacular river and mountain settings throughout the game to more than tick the box. Enjoyable game, possibly not the most historically accurate but that's only a quibble for people much more intelligent than me. Next is down to the bottom row and marking off B5 and the snack box with Maneater. You recharge your health bar by chowing down on various small fish or humans and even when it's full you can still fill your boots on various snack-sized fish just for fun. Side note - I had no idea before this game that a mahi-mahi was actually a real fish, I thought it was just a King of Queens punchline. Lastly is a game I haven't actually platted yet, but the grindy career mode with the bulk of the trophies is done and since I'm here now, I'd be as well adding it too. Staying on the bottom row, it's G5 and Racing/Sports with F1: 2016. A longstanding uncompleted backlog game (obviously) that I've finally got around to working on. Just the online trophies left (and one other I'm saving for a hopefully cool plat screenshot) to go and they're pretty much in hand once schedules align. Spoiler G1 (Mystery) The Suicide of Rachel Foster 27/4 O1 (DLC) Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist 13/1 B2 (Fantasy) Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy 17/3 I2 (Crafting) Assassin's Creed: Rogue 18/2 G2 (Hype) Horizon Forbidden West 18/4 O3 (Vistas) Far Cry Primal 24/5 N4 (Banned) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 26/4 O4 (Exclusive) Astro's Playroom 17/3 B5 (Snacks) Maneater 26/5 G5 (Racing) F1: 2016 11/6 O5 (Reboot) God of War 4/3

My favorite VR experience thus far and a fun addendum to the original game. Highly recommend this N1: Toem - I wasn't sold on this game after it came out on PS Plus. I honestly probably wouldn't have started it if the completion time was higher, but I found it adorable and fun. The gameplay was smooth and taking pictures wasn't overly clunky. A pleasant surprise G2: Infinite Warfare - I felt obligated that this one should go here after slogging through all of the Zombies in Spaceland mini-games (not to mention Ghosts & Skulls in the later DLCs). O3: Sound Shapes - This is a bit of a throwback, but I remember when everyone seemed to be playing Sound Shapes and auto-popping all of the region stacks of the game (especially after it came out on Plus). I'm late to the party, but it was a fun game. I enjoyed it enough that I may go back and complete it on my other consoles. N5: Bugsnax - This was originally recommended to me in the 'Your Backlog But I Choose What You Play' challenge Unfortunately, I haven't returned there with a progress update yet, but thought it was a fun idea! Also enjoyed the game. Another one I'd consider playing another stack of.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
A New Box Down! Game: Killer Frequency Box: "Player's Choice" A weird, comedy-horror game, wherein you play a radio-host, who due to a bizarre confluence of events, ends up having to fill in as a small town's 9-1-1 operator during his show, while a serial killer from the town's history is apparently back from the dead. Kind splits the difference between puzzle-game, narrative game, radio-play and podcast, and is pretty fun overall. No other boxes left that fit, but since I like to lean into the "Player's Choice" box, by having it not just be a game that is "my choice" but also one that involves "player choice"... ...this one fits that box nicely!
Popular Post Yen-Pop
B-b-b-b-bingo babyyyyy, we have ourselves a bingo! With a whopping 35 owners, I used Steven Universe: Unleash the Light, Trophy Update DLC 3 (where's the list for 2? who knows) for B1 Underplayed (Less than 1,000 Owners). Already doing better last year where I managed to get just about every box checked without any leading to a Bingo. Bummer. But here we are - thanks free DLC releases! And if you do decide to make that number 36, or you are one of the 35 people who downloaded the DLC, just keep in mind two of the trophies are mad glitched, but for some reason closing and rebooting the game makes them pop. Popular Post Flitterbloom
Hello there! Here comes my update, Jotun granted me my 3rd (and 4th) Bingo line! Yaaaay! Jotun, the 3rd (and last, for now) Thunder Lotus Games' title, having the 3 of them on my card, and the 3 platinums! I wanted a game with an Ultra Rare Platinum that was actually ultra rare on PSNP AND the PSN. With, respectively, 2,49% & 0.4%, Jotun was perfect (my other option was Muramasa, maybe for another bingo card!). I had a lot of fun, some frustration too ; the Shun the Gods fight with Fe in Valhalla mode made me go through the first three stages of grief at some point, it made the no-hit Valhalla runs seemingly so easy, it was worth it! I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on that studio since I loved all of their games so far. I just started my "Player's Choice" and "DLC Pack" game. See you for the completion update, until then keep having fun!
Popular Post Biscoito18
Updating my card with "Haven" and "The Chant". I'm 22/25 for a blackout but it may take some time since I rarely play racing games and the games that I've started and didn't finished are like that for a good reason: they bored me, which is the worst thing a game can do other than trigger an epileptic seizure. And I really liked "The Chant" for its old school survival horror style so I chose it to fill my "Player's Choice" tile. Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
It's been a while, but I've managed to complete my second B-I-N-G-O Back on June 1st I've completed the PS4 version of Horizon Forbidden West and can mark the Platform Exclusive square, just in time to go on my Diablo 4 journey. Which was the platinum planned for the Spawned an Expanded Universe square, but with the later stages of midgame being boring af with all the hotfixes, Diablo 4 is paused for now. Instead I finally got everything I need for the Gran Turismo 7 platinum, and with a movie being released about the game, it works perfectly with the square.

Popular Post Alternatewarning
Update #6 If I had a retro re-release I could get bingo but sadly...I don't think I own any in that category. At least, nothing that I think I'd be able to get done this year. B-1: HYPE! - God of War: Ragnarok: I really, really liked this game. Did I think it was the best-thing-since-sliced-bread? No. The middle dragged out a lot more than it needed to. I still think the game has serious issues with 'too many buttons' for combat. More than once I messed up what I was trying to do because I couldn't remember if it was or and then whatever follow up button. But the story was good, really, really good. Satisfying. I love seeing how the series has matured. N-1: Last Game You Acquired: Gorogoa: As of playing this game it was the newest game I had purchased so I'm considering this my latest game. This was suggested to me for another event as a quick, cute, fun little puzzle game. And that's what it was. It wasn't mind-blowing but it was fun and a little bit of a brain-teaser. I would suggest it to anyone who wants a chill game. Trophies may be a bit glitchy though. G-1: With a # oe Punctuation in the Title - Spider-man: Miles Morales: These recent Spiderman games have been quite fun and this is no exception. In fact, I think I like the combat a little bit more in this one since I can use Venom moves to get out a sticky situations (pun intended). It's also nice to see a biracial main character. And some sign language. It's just, it's cool, feels a lot more like the 'real world'. Not the best game in the world but it's fun, the story is good and I like Miles. Plus swinging around New York is just so fun... I-2: Released in your birth month (December) - Marvel's Midnight Suns: I have a lot of good things to say about this game. I am in love, absolute love with the combat system. The story is interesting, the characters are great. I love seeing the magical side of Marvel, not just superheroes. It was, however, the biggest game I've played in quite a while. Most everything I hit was a graphical bug but still, that doesn't really reflect that well on a game. So a solid A-, honestly. I would suggest it to anyone that likes strategy games and some more B-list Marvel characters. O-2: Starts with the First Letter of Your PSNID (Alternatewarning) - AI: The Somnium Files: A friend of mine suggested that I pick this up and it was on sale at some point so I figured, right not? Honestly, one of the best random buys ever. As long as you enjoy visual novel-esque games this one is really good. I honestly never felt like it was 'dagging' on like some other visual novels do just to add length. Every chapter was a good length. The puzzles were wild and mind-bending but I liked them. I didn't like the typical 'haha pervy male lead, funny' but I can put up with it when I have to. Also some WEIRD hand animations but overall, solid 8/10. I-4: With an Isometric View - Digimon Survive: Digimon seems to swing pretty wildly with video game ideas and I'm here for it. This game is 7/10 visual novel with a horror tinge and 3/10 battle which isn't bad. I'm not a huge fan of how you recruit digimon (I prefer the Cyber Sleuth style) but with a guide it's not too bad. I can say, though, that this game is so much darker than I expected and I really like that. While the game is visual novel, the battles are isometric so I believe that counts.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
A New Box Down, and with a third Bingo, I become Retirement Ready! Game: A Plague Tale: Requiem Box: "With Gorgeous Vistas" The second A Plague Tale game is a huge step up from the first - the story is good and well told, the voice work is very well done (used the French audio, as I really like the actors playing Amicia and Hugo in French,) and the environments are probably the most beautiful looking ones I've seen in a game, period! Gameplay is good - the combat and stealth are a little finicky at times, but the puzzle elements of avoiding the rats are more variable and interesting this time out, and with the story and the pacing being much better, it's hard to get bogged down on that. Prop to the game for having a near-permanent child companion who is not annoying or irritating - Hugo is a sweet kid who's relationship with his big sister is really well done, and the pair make for a very engaging pair! Whoever came up with the idea for a box for "with gorgeous vistas" was basically predicting this game, I think! Din't think Ive seen a game before, that has such consistently gorgeous vistas - feels like every time a new chapter starts, or a door is opened, there's a gorgeous vista right there! I already posted some of my screenshots in a status update, but lets just drop one here ... ...see what I mean!?
Popular Post AgentPenguin08
Based on non-gaming IP: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed This game was fun, but I'll admit did not age well. Popular Post Finch_III
My June update: My three additions for the month are: B2 – Play as an anti-hero or bad guy – For this, I platinumed Plague Inc: Evolved. In this game, the player works to spread deadly viruses around the world in order to kill everyone on the planet. The nameless protagonist is left pretty ambiguous, but as they're killing off the world, I think it's a slam-dunk bad-guy! The game itself was fine – I loved it as a smartphone game about 7-8 years ago. However, going for the platinum was very tedious and would have taken forever without using guides (many of which are very out of date). I was happy to finish it and move on tbh. I5 – Side-scrolling or Bullet Hell – I had quite a few choices for this, but I ended up playing Watcher's Chronicles, which is a 2D Souls-like game. It was definitely fun for the 12 or so hours I spent on it, although I don't think it was good enough to warrant New Game+, despite it offering this. I also went for a pretty standard 'warrior' build, focusing on strength and stamina, so I missed out on some of the other character builds that could have been fun (I used zero magic). It was also a touch too easy to be considered a true Souls-like imo. G1 – For another PSNP event – Thankfully, I signed up for a few events this year, so I had plenty of options for this. Ultimately, I chose Dead Cells, which I'm using for both the Platinum Difficulty Challenge and the Kaleidoscope Challenge. A lot of people love this game, and rightly so. It's really well made, and the developer is constantly bringing out DLC and updates for the community. I, personally, didn't love the game. I enjoyed it a lot, but I didn't find the higher difficulties very fun. For the last couple of trophies, I stuck Assist Mode on, as I'd already put about 50 hours into it, and was keen to move on to other games. However, I hope to come back to it once I've had a break in order to get some of the DLC trophies. And with those games, I got another line of my Bingo card (B1-B5). The Language of Love (Banned/Censored in a country) - https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/85087-list-of-censored-games-ps5-ps4-vita/ Boxer (Arcade, Rhythm, or Puzzle) Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator (That Takes "Forever" to Beat) - Online trophies and the trophy for getting 150 badges are very time consuming. Hawken (free to play) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 (reboot or spiritual successor) - This is a remake of the second Neptunia game. Both the original and the remake act like the first game did not happen. Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (peripheral-based) - This game is meant to played with a drum controller, so that's the peripheral. Scourge: Outbreak (play as antihero or bad guy) - I didn't pay attention the story, but the female lead's character description sounded like one of an anti-hero. Skullgirls 2nd Encore [Black Dahlia DLC] (DLC Pack or Standalone DLC) Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (Releasing Your Inner Weeb) Million Arthur: Arcana Blood (Spawned an Expanded Universe) - A TV series was made based on the Million Arthur game series. Phantom Breaker: Omnia (HYPE!) - Trailer/In-game announcer. Red Faction: Battlegrounds (With Player Operated Vehicles) - Vehicle warfare game. 3D Dot Game Heroes (With an Isometric View) Edited June 30, 2023 by Yuber6969 Formatting
Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Another square done! I asked in a backlog challenge for some recommendations to play, put them all in the picker wheel and The Last Campire recommended by @Gretchen27 won. And I'm glad it won, what a fantastic, maybe a little short, puzzle game. Great story, visually pleasing, good variety in the puzzles, not doing the same again and again ... looking at you Merlin Trials in Hogwarts Legacy. Guess it's time to start on something in the B category Edited June 30, 2023 by JayDeLosDioses
