Popular Post MikkelEhlers
This time I'm back with three entries on the bingo board! I didn't really feel like doing the updates before now, so here comes a triple update instead. One game I've wanted try for so long, one game done because it was extremely cheap and there were leftover change on my PlayStation wallet, and one game that's crossed off from the backlog. The first of three games on the update is Outer Wilds: What and awesome game. If you haven't played Outer Wilds, do yourself a favour and play it and the dlc - the main game is best though in my opinion. I'm putting Outer Wilds on "With Player Operated Vehicles" since the spaceship you travel around in is integral to the exploration part of the game. It's basically your home in Outer Wilds, where you can heal, refuel, and catch up on what you know. I feel this is an obvious match. The second game of the update is 36 Fragments of Midnight: A good old cheap and fast trophy game. This game was harder than I anticipated, not that it was hard, and all in all it was just a cozy game if you don't think about all the spikes and saw blades there to kill you. This isn't really a game you have to think hard about. I had a gift card to the PS store and the thing I wanted was a bit less than what I had, so I found some really cheap games to make up for the rest of gift card. The game is developed by Petite Games, and apparently they are a Mexican video game developer (source: found on Wikidata - search Petite Games), and at least for me (Danish) that is foreign, as is almost every developer. I don't know of any games I've played developed in Mexico, and I'm not sure how big game development is there. Honestly I'm really not that caught up in nationalities of game developers, maybe because there aren't many from my own nationality, I'm only really aware of whether they are western or asian etc. I guess that is a little narrow-minded, so now I will probably be more aware of where the games are made when I play them. Anyways - it gets the spot "Developed in a Foreign Country" if it wasn't obvious. The last game of the three is Alien: Isolation: Very scary game for me, as I'm not that well faired in horror games, so this was definitely a personal challenge. It's a game I started way back 5 years ago. I got it from a friend who bought me a humble playstation bundle back when they were sometimes featured, I think it was a Capcom and Sega collaboration bundle. However the bundles are not claimable in my country, so ended up having to make a new account to then claim them on that account etc. and the proces was a bit complicated, but worth it I guess. Fast forward 4 years to last year 2022, the year I got my PS5. I always planned to get one, and I knew I needed to complete the games from that humble bundle, because I wasn't sure I could transfer them to the PS5, because my account did not have access to them, I could only play them because of the other account I made on which I'd forgotten the login... So last year I started Alien: Isolation once more, this time intending to finish it, but I really just burned out on it before getting further than last because there are so many specific trophies for the run: No death, play on hard, don't kill humans, collectables etc. where you need to play the game in a certain way if you don't want to do multiple playthroughs. I did not end up completing it, however when I got my PS5 I figured I could just put the games on an external harddrive from the PS4, and then connect that to the PS5. I felt pretty stupid. So I can still play them now, but I'm getting a little tired of being forced to have them installed because I can not reinstall them, so the past week I finally got through Alien: Isolation - it was scary and intense but honestly a pretty fun game. Also luckily all other trophies than collectibles, no death etc. come pretty naturally, so by the end I only needed to kill humans and die a lot to the alien to finish it. It is only one out of the five games from that bundle though, so still four left to be done. But this got my started and hopefully I can pull my self together to start the remaining 4. I put the game one "That You Meant to Play Last Year". I'm getting closer and closer, and I can almost smell a full row. Here's my board: Summary: Spoiler B1 - Non-Human Sidekick:B2 - Featuring a Romance or Romance Options: Warriors Orochi 4. Featuring the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.B3 - Releasing Your Inner Weeb:B4 - Favorite Genre (Action RPG (Souls-like)): Demon's Souls. Definitely fits this genre - lots of action and RPG mechanics. Popular Post slicknick3822
I was able to finish a couple more games and fill in two spots thanks to the KYC challenge. Based on a Non-Gaming IP: Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered With Mystery or Detective Themes: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (may be a bit of a stretch but you are trying to uncover the mystery of the "rapture")

Popular Post KazaneHime
I finished Boyfriend Dungeon and the Seven Deadly Sins game. I put Boyfriend Dungeon under 'romance options' and Seven Deadly Sins under 'Year I joined PSNP' since that lined up well. Next, working on Embr with my friend. Not quite sure where I'll put that yet. Spoiler
Popular Post Flitterbloom
Hello fellow bingoers! I didn't update my card since... yeah. January. Time to stop procrastinating as I celebrate my very first bingo line this year! I'm gonna try to list them in the same order I played them: Spoiler Children of Silentown is a point'n'click game. I really loved the art and that's what pushed me to try it out (as I don't really enjoy playing point'n'clicks with a controller to be honest...). I liked it more than I thought I would. It would have been a great choice for "With Multiple Endings" but since The Wanderer was already here I chose "Non-Violent". There's actually one scene where a kid push you and you fall on the ground... I guess it's still ok though. ? LEGO Harry Potter Collection was my "Redeemed from PS+" go to. I hadn't play any LEGO game before that even though multiple friends told me to try them out, Harry Potter had to be the first 'cause it has been such an important saga through my youth ; perfect fit. Helvetii is an indie rogue-lite game, and you can guess by its name which Mythology is in it ; Celtic of course! I was kinda afraid to try a rogue-lite for this bingo but platinumed it in the end. I enjoyed it a lot, even though we don't see a lot of the Celtic Mythology in it... you can make pacts with gods like Toutatis and Cernunnos (which was my favorite) amongst others. Chicory went to Award-winning! It's a good game but I had so many bugs and problems with it I'm mostly glad I'm done with it. Spiritfarer was supposed to be on my last year's Bingo card, I couldn't wait to play it and it was a perfect fit for "Released the year you joined PSNP" (2020 in my case). I loved this game so much. I cried. A lot. The stories, the characters... I was pretty sad when I had to end my playthrough (because there was nothing left to do...). Oninaki for Crafting Mechanics seemed right as you can socket weapons and create weapon with alchemy (by "trading" some weapons you already have). Contrarily to LEGO games, I've been contemplating playing this game for quite some time and my friends told me I would not like it (as it is "too slow"). When they added it to the PS+ Extra catalogue I just had to try it. Enjoyed it, really liked the story, platinumed it. Ghost of a Tale. Just hear me out: a game that has snacks, but the trick is you can't eat anything if you're going for the platinum because of the "Crash Diet" trophy. Probably more funny in my head than when I explain it... Anyway, I really enjoyed the story, the scenery... a little less walking in traps and having to reload a save. Still, I had fun and that's the most important, right? Erica is my "Peripheral-Based" game. I didn't reaaaally planed to play this one but I read a lot of good reviews, and it fitted this one box I didn't know what to do with (you can play with your smartphone through an app). I did one playthrough and still have many to do to go for the platinum but I actually enjoyed it. Some players warned me I probably would not enjoy the platinum as much so I might go slowly toward it, one playthrough at a time ; for now I'm curious to see the differences with the multiple choices. Sundered is mostly due to me enjoying Spiritfarer so much I had to check the other Thunder Lotus games! (Don't worry, I'll go for Jotun too and it'll probably be my "Ultra Rare Platinum"!). And that's how it took Celeste's spot for One World Title. I was kinda surprised while playing it because it seemed still "pretty easy" on the normal difficulty, even though I scared myself once or twice during the first hours. And that's how I found out I actually really like Metroidvanias (and not just Alucard in Castlevania ?) Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX has No Platinum Trophy so it had to be here. Earlier these year I saw my significant other play Azure Striker Gunvolt, so I blame this choice on him... ok, I thank him for it. Those are not easy games and I'm pretty sure I got lucky this one had an easy 100% as I would never be able to S-rank most of those levels. (Hey, I got one! On the boss level but still, that's something, isn't it?) Tchia was too tempting, being a part of the PS+ Extra offer as a day-one release. Once again Celeste got kicked out (I promess I'll do it one day!) and it checked my "By an Independent Developer". I knew I'd enjoy it because I like to just explore and collect every little stupid thing you can grab everywhere on the map. I was so into it I actually got stuck because I didn't progress through the story enough to keep exploring. Afterimage was a pre-ordered game I couldn't wait to play, I just didn't know (yet) what box it would check on my bingo card. I thought I could still use my "Player's choice" card if needed but the game is actually so beautiful it had to be "With Gorgeous Vistas". I spent 60hours+ on the game, I admired every landscape, enjoyed every soundtrack (and still listen to some of them) and I just can't wait to grab its DLC (when they release it). Virginia may or not stay he my "For Another PSNP Event" box as there's a good chance I'll exchange it on my Kaleidoscope card for some other Red game. I liked the game but I never really like when you have to do a second playthrough "just because" to get a platinum. Fortunately it's a short game so I didn't get too annoyed playing it twice. The story may seem kinda complicated at first but it's well delivered. Fe has been on my to-do list (and in my library) for the longest time. Thanks to the "Starts with the First Letter of your PSNID" I had no more excuses to not play it this year. Some crystals/collectibles were painful to find but I really enjoyed the game. Short, but great. I'll admit I really liked "singing" with the little creatures everywhere, they were so cute. The Gardens Between seemed like a perfect fit for "Puzzle". Quite easy even though one particular level took me some time to go through (the one with the falling blazer) ; I kinda forgot I could walk on the smoke... I felt stupid when I remembered it. Otherwise it was quite a breeze. And, finally, KartRider : Drift is my "With Online features" game. Since there is no story in the game I'm not quite sure at which point I should have had it on my bingo card, but I have most of the trophies so I guess we're good? I'm gonna go for the licences, even though there is no trophy for that, as it seems to me it is the closest to a story mode the game has to offer. The next game should check the "Oldest in your Backlog" box as I restarted Salt and Sanctuary from scratch! I should try to update a little more often too. Sorry for the long post. Keep having fun everyone! Edited May 18, 2023 by Flitterbloom Added spoiler + typos

Spoiler Gensou SkyDrift (Underplayed) Sly 2: Band of Thieves (Anthropomorphized Animals) - Every character in this game is an anthropomorphized animal. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (That You Meant to Play Last Year) - Self-explanatory. Smoots Summer Games (That You Can Beat in One Sitting) - The story equivalent can be finished in about an hour. The plat can also be finished in one sitting if you have the skill for it (which I didn't). Bakumatsu Rock: Ultra Soul (Historical Fiction or Mythology) - The story takes place in the 19th century. RWBY: Grimm Eclipse (With Gorgeous Vistas) - The game has some vistas. The Language of Love (Banned/Censored in a country) - https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/85087-list-of-censored-games-ps5-ps4-vita/ Boxer (Arcade, Rhythm, or Puzzle) Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator (That Takes "Forever" to Beat) - Online trophies and the trophy for getting 150 badges are very time consuming. Hawken (free to play) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 (reboot or spiritual successor) - This is a remake of the second Neptunia game. Both the original and the remake act like the first game did not happen. Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (peripheral-based) - This game is meant to played with a drum controller, so that's the peripheral. Scourge: Outbreak (play as antihero or bad guy) - I didn't pay attention the story, but the female lead's character description sounded like one of an anti-hero. The game was decent but my god does it make you do some insanely tedious things. If I hadn't have got help from some complete random person for the covenant items I might have even quit it but the farming mixed with 3 playthroughs ended up feeling like a chore. Without them the game was fun but I felt the burn and grind in the end and will be a while before my next Dark Souls game

Popular Post Alternatewarning
Update #5 B-1: HYPE! - God of War: Ragnarok: I really, really liked this game. Did I think it was the best-thing-since-sliced-bread? No. The middle dragged out a lot more than it needed to. I still think the game has serious issues with 'too many buttons' for combat. More than once I messed up what I was trying to do because I couldn't remember if it was or and then whatever follow up button. But the story was good, really, really good. Satisfying. I love seeing how the series has matured. N-1: Last Game You Acquired: Gorogoa: As of playing this game it was the newest game I had purchased so I'm considering this my latest game. This was suggested to me for another event as a quick, cute, fun little puzzle game. And that's what it was. It wasn't mind-blowing but it was fun and a little bit of a brain-teaser. I would suggest it to anyone who wants a chill game. Trophies may be a bit glitchy though. G-1: With a # oe Punctuation in the Title - Spider-man: Miles Morales: These recent Spiderman games have been quite fun and this is no exception. In fact, I think I like the combat a little bit more in this one since I can use Venom moves to get out a sticky situations (pun intended). It's also nice to see a biracial main character. And some sign language. It's just, it's cool, feels a lot more like the 'real world'. Not the best game in the world but it's fun, the story is good and I like Miles. Plus swinging around New York is just so fun... I-2: Released in your birth month (December) - Marvel's Midnight Suns: I have a lot of good things to say about this game. I am in love, absolute love with the combat system. The story is interesting, the characters are great. I love seeing the magical side of Marvel, not just superheroes. It was, however, the biggest game I've played in quite a while. Most everything I hit was a graphical bug but still, that doesn't really reflect that well on a game. So a solid A-, honestly. I would suggest it to anyone that likes strategy games and some more B-list Marvel characters. I-4: With an Isometric View - Digimon Survive: Digimon seems to swing pretty wildly with video game ideas and I'm here for it. This game is 7/10 visual novel with a horror tinge and 3/10 battle which isn't bad. I'm not a huge fan of how you recruit digimon (I prefer the Cyber Sleuth style) but with a guide it's not too bad. I can say, though, that this game is so much darker than I expected and I really like that. While the game is visual novel, the battles are isometric so I believe that counts.

It dropped frames constantly, even offline mode and didn't feel like much skill was needed. Most people I came across just spammed the same combo but thankfully it was an easy plat and I can now say I've played Tekken To save double posting as I was the last poster I'm done with my one word title in a quick but oddly satisfying game called Transference. I wasn't sure what to do for this tile and the ones I had were either too long or didn't interest me so I found this on PS Plus And another done with Monopoly Plus lol. I was lucky to have this on my backlog list, find it when looking for games that released in 2014 and have it nearly finished so took me maybe 20 mins to tidy it up Now just to work my way through the middle row Edited May 22, 2023 by Hitman_Spinksy1
Popular Post Sir_Bee
I have an update for my bingo card, finally finished Returnal and hit my 3rd bingo. Not certain which game will make #199 for me (working on both Grid Legends and Dicey Dungeons at the moment), but I plan to pick up Dredge and make it #200 (the HYPE! square) Mrs. Bee has been busy, so her card has not changed as of yet, but she is slowly working on getting the Binding of Isaac platinum, which I agreed would give her 3 squares on her card if she can complete it.
DrBloodmoney
Another Entry Down! Game: This War of Mine: Final Cut Box: "Player Choice of Multiple Endings" An even better version of one of the best sim survival games I've played, and probably the most effective anti-war games I've played. It was already awesome in the PS4 "The Little Ones" release, but the Final Cut adds a LOT more content, including all the side stories, which end up virtually tripling the duration of the S-Rank! (I haven't even got it yet, still have a few runs of one of the DLCs to go!) Everyone should play this game - and if possible, they should play this version of it! This one I had originally thought would be my "Player's Choice".... (as it's a game I knew I loved already)... but looking at what's left, I realised that there might not exist a game more about player choice, or with so many possible endings! Every single playthrough is nothing but agonising choices - kill or starve, help or ignore, feed someone or eat, sleep or stand guard.... and there are macro choices too, in the actual way to survive - escape the city, or outlast the violence. Every run also ends with a long summary of what happened during the war - who died, who lived, what they did to survive, with accompanying photos, all tailored into a long narrative. That's without even going into the "Stories" section (the DLC trophies), which add on a layer of more specific storytelling, each with multiple ending paths to those stories too. That’s playing with an eye on the trophies, and knowing the mechanics… but not just min-maxing and picking all the best characters etc. I’m not sure how fast it could be done by doing that stuff - it’s not a game I’d endorse that stuff for, cause it’s a game to be savoured! ? Hell, I’ve got a couple more playthroughs of one DLC still to go, having done about 15 runs of different scenarios so far… and I’m happy to do it! ? Finished Heavenly Bodies for something that starts with the first letter of my PSNID and let me say, biggest pile of garbage ever. I've never played a game that has made me as frustrated as that one. No Dark Souls or Fifa, cod or even Crash 4. They should have called it "Dead Fish In Space" because that's what it felt like. With any luck the creators get shot out into space and be forced to live like dead fish for karma
