Popular Post VersusCA
I think I have enough completed games to finish a list for this year It's definitely a weird mix of games, but at the same time one that sums up the year pretty well for me. Maroon is definitely the toughest to fill! I feel like the aliens in Space Hulk: Tactics just barely fit the bill. I didn't make a conscious effort to go for certain colours over the course of this year, but probably will in 2024!
Popular Post Keen_Chriss
FINALLY!! Just in the nick of time too! Haven't updated since May but was finally able to finish this amazing challenge. 6 games in 6 months, one each month and not too shabby I might say so myself White: Endling Cool little indie game, short story and perfect fit for white Yellow: Cyberpunk 2077 Awesome awesome game! Visuals were the BEST I've ever seen and that's no hyperbole. Beautiful looking game and the story was impeccable. Gameplay is was somewhat "disturbed" as ADS sensitivity is a puzzle in itself but once you figure that out, everything is smooth sailing although aiming is still not prefect Red: Marvels Spiderman 2 Had "Resistance Burning Skies" as red but Spiderman released and come on......its Spiderman. HAD to replace! (got robbed at VGA 2023) Pink: Fall Guys Fun online game but very repetitive. Has so much potential but chooses to remain lazy. Finally was able to plat this game after years due to a trophy becoming significantly easier Deep Purple: Life is Strange: True Colors The second game was peak and this being the weakest entry in the series in my opinion. The story being the main focus of the game.. fell very short for me. Very basic with very basic twists on top of exhausting woke agendas. Kinda regret playing this as it tainted my view on this series although I'll still play another entry and give it another try. Light Green: Lego DC Super Villains I gotta say... this probably my favorite Lego game of all time and I've played quite a bit of them. Its the same Lego game but has more depth and exploration with a deeper than average story. I dont know if theres any Lego fans out there like me but I would recommend this to anyone! Grey: Trek To Yomi Last game I completed to finish this challenge. Had a fun time playing it and it was free for one of the PS plus months. Only complaint I have is the janky controls and inconsistent button inputs but its very doable and challenging. This was an amazing challenge and I enjoyed every second of it. Shout out to @DrBloodmoney for this fun and innovative event and hope theres more to come! Thank you for having me and a pleasure to have the opportunity to play along other trophy hunters! Much luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!
Popular Post Flitterbloom
On 10/15/2023 at 11:05 AM, DrBloodmoney said: I agree that The Wild at Heart is a little tenuous as an Orange - but I'd probably still accept it... ...and even if I didn't, I actually think the Lego Harry Potter one you have for Brown could work as an orange, with The Wild at Heart working for Brown - so it's a wash anyways! 👍 I switched them accordingly to that. It looks clearly better, thank you! Spoiler I worked a little on my second kaleidoscope, I still miss a few entries (I know what to play, just not sure I'll be able to finish them in time) but here's how it looks for now : White - Children of Silentown I usually don't want to play point'n'click games using a controller, but this one, with its Burton-like vibes, I just had to. I enjoyed all of it. The design, the story, the puzzles. A nice, almost relaxing, experience. Yellow - It Takes Two Has much as I loved playing the game, story-wise there was some parts that really made me gnash my teeth. I've been waiting to play this with my significant other for quite some time and I really enjoyed it (he did too!). Tan - Blasphemous I guess it's fair to say I kinda like Metroidvanias more and more... I was a little scared of this one. "It's hard." And there's a speedrun. In the end I really loved the game and will definitely play the sequel at some point. Red - Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New-York Truth be told, I was glad to find some game to play for Red. I liked the visual of it... and that's all. I read all the story while playing Amanda (the Ventrue storyline) and didn't really enjoyed the plot (plus, I played it in French and there was a lot of spelling mistakes etc. which did not help). During the other two playthroughs I mostly skipped dialogues because even when I tried different options I felt like it didn't matter. I probably won't play another "Vampire: The Masquerade" game. Pink - Oninaki I'm glad I got "back" to this one. I tried the demo a few years ago and was not really hooked. Too slow, mostly. When it was added to the Extra catalogue I chose to give him another shot and did like it this time. Would I replay it? No. But did I have a nice time? Yes! Maroon - Sundered I wanted to play two other "Thunder Lotus Games" titles and decided, since there three of them on the PS4, let's try this one too! It was lso my "Maroon backup" in case Afterimage was not the right colour for my first kaleidoscope. It was nice, I really love Thunder Lotus' Games visually, and this one is no exception. Deep Purple - Gylt I was so jealous when I learned it was a "Stadia exclusive", naturally I had to play it as soon as we could grab it on PS4! It's a really cool game, story-wise I, once again, gnashed my teeth a little over some things but overall I really liked it. Blue - Jotun I will remember this game for a loooong time. I learned patience over Fe's fight, it took me so long to beat her without getting hit! But it felt soooo rewarding when I finally succeeded! Light Blue - Spiritfarer One of the games I enjoyed the most this year. I cried so much over some characters stories. A "relaxing/cozy game", for sure, but also one that's gonna give you the feels. Green - Genshin Impact (Series X - DLC Pack 9) This one is "kinda special" on the list. It only has 2 gold trophies BUT it also kinda wrap-up the travel across Sumeru. I really wanted to add one Genshin Impact tile in the kaleidoscope (I play it more than I should tbh) but didn't know which DLC to chose, in my opinion this one kinda "sums up" Sumeru, which makes it worthy. Light Green - Legends of Ethernal I decided to play it when it was about to leave PS+ Extra's catalogue. And because I wanted it to be a pain, I suppose, I wanted to try the "one-run only platinum". I regretted it a lot when I got stuck on the very last boss, I had to redo the last area 'cause I messed my save up loading one from the cloud, and when i finally found you could break Kroll's stupid swords on the floor I beat him so easily it felt underwhelming. Got my platinum trophy in one run, not particularly proud of it 'cause I really lost patience at some point but at least... it's done. Also didn't like the story. Brown - Ghost of a Tale I chose this one for it's design too. Was not disappointed event tho some parts (mostly the areas involving wolf traps) were pretty annoying at first... Grey - Ender Lilies I could replay this game over and over again. I loved the ambiance, the music, the visuals. I got really attached to Lily and the spirits. Probably the game I loved the most among those I played this year. Black - Bloodstained I'm not sure this one is ok for "Black", it kinda looks more "dark grey" to me (particularly compared to Erica...). Grinding for the trophies was kind of a pain at the end (even tho I usually like that kind of things) but the game was nice to play. I'll have to check some Castlevanias too after that. I'll be aiming at God of War (2009) for Orange and Life is Strange : True Colors for Purple. We'll see if I can complete this!
Popular Post RustyBacon13
Aaaaannd Im done! 😆 Light Green - Tetra's Escape My first Ratalaika game, which i bought specifically so I could finish this. A cute enough puzzle game, fun enough for a few hours. Only problem, as simple as it is, I hate the fact that even a simple puzzle game like this sometimes makes me feel like I was dropped on my head as a child 😆😒 Thank You @DrBloodmoney for a really fun event, one that I was actually able to finish! Quite a feat for me, let me tell you. Admittedly, I was quite lucky as I had already finished all the Arkham City combat maps in Jan. And halfway through Hitman 2. Add that to a few DLC packs which were on sale that I could finish, 3 or 4 Days Gone challenge maps and Rocket League's trade shutdown lighting a fire under my ass, I was able to get past the finish line. Also, I love how my colours have lined up, its pretty great 😄 I look forward to seeing if I can replicate my luck (and colours) if we do this again next year 😄👍 Happy Gaming everyone!
Popular Post HailHale81
Well it took me all year but I was able to finish the list with very little time to spare lol. Last two games I added were Moving out 2 and Ratchet and Clank. I really liked Moving Out but the sequel was easier and got very boring by the time I finished it. I absolutely loved Ratchet and Clank. Plat was easier than previous games which stinks but the game is fun and beautiful.
Popular Post Dezorak
back with what i think should count for brown (and if not at least light green) shovelware game alert its puzzle journey was done for a bit of fun after elden ring and fact friends of mine like to joke that my memory is bad so now i can prove its not (don't look at completion time though lol) light green left and my goal is to do it before the Pokémon dlc comes out as that's when i will be streaming way more then i should be so time to complete other games will be reduced either way thanks for hosting this event you helped me play games i never would have even considered before and actually made me wanna go back and complete games i long dropped due to reasons nobody wants to hear about here :D.
Popular Post pelagia14
Alright, I did some color swapping on Card #3 and added in some new games to Card #3 & Card #4: Card #3 [In Progress] Swaps: Divination (originally Maroon) was moved to Card #4 since I don't know if I'll be able to finish it. Killer Frequency was moved from Pink to Maroon. Additions: Superliminial (Pink) A puzzle perspective game about to leave the PS+ Catalog, though the controls are a little clunky. There were some neat and interesting "aha!" moments - however, as there are better games that play with visual perspective, I would only grab this game if it is on sale. Card 3 Games: Spoiler OVIVO Chants of Sennaar Serial Cleaner Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Superliminal Killer Frequency Paradise Killer [TBD] Mass Effect 1: Legendary Edition Untitled Goose Game Man of Medan (Dark Pictures Anthology) Sable Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition The Mooseman Hades Card #3 To-Do: All that's left now for Card #3 is Deep Purple! Will probably play HUMANITY since that is on the PS+ Catalog and is less than 20 hours to platinum. Or perhaps I'll be able to "git gudd" at Sayonara Wild Hearts and finish that game this month. 😂 Card #4 [In Progress] Additions: Divination from Card #3 Unpacking [PS4] Last December I played the PS5 version. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to replay it recently when I was looking for a cozy game to play. Spyro 3: Ripto's Rage I played this in early January, and only just realized that it hasn't been used in a previous card. If you loved the old Spyro games, the remasters are definitely worth checking out. Card 4 Games: Spoiler Tempus Saltsea Chronicles Little Hope Outer Wilds [TBD] Unpacking Divination Spyro 3: Ripto's Rage [TBD] Assassin's Creed: Mirage Ratchet & Clank (2016) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart [TBD] Call of the Sea [TBD] The Quarry Card #4 To-Do: Red- Hopefully I can platinum The Banner Saga 1 this month. Currently in my second playthrough on Hard Mode, and I'm hoping I can complete it without losing any battles, otherwise I'll have to see if there is a really short game on the PS+ Catalog I've not played. Deep Purple - The plan is HUMANITY or Sayonara Wild Hearts... otherwise I don't think I can finish this card, since there is nothing else in my backlog that fits and PS+ Catalog doesn't have many options. Light Green - Thinking of playing Return of the Obra Dinn(!), though that should probably go to Green, and then R&C: Rift Apart moves to Light Green? Grey - I started Alan Wake Remastered in October and then got distracted with other games. Need to finish my first playthrough and then do the Hard Mode playthrough. In 2024 I'm planning on tackling a lot of the longer games in my backlog. I'm not sure if I will even get two full cards as a result, so I'm really hoping I can get this fourth card finished this month! Popular Post cerafinn
Hi everyone! It's been a while since I updated my games card, Just finished Horizon Forbidden West over the weekend. It was fun, if a little frustrating when playing on ultra hard difficulty. I've got YELLOW, TAN, PURPLE, DEEP PURPLE and BROWN left for this card. I'm thinking World of Final Fantasy for YELLOW, Trine Enchanted Edition for PURPLE, Mato Anomalies for DEEP PURPLE, and Concrete Genie for TAN. Hopefully they all fit the colour and I can finish them up before the end of the month. For BROWN, I have no idea what to slot in there. Any suggestions? Popular Post Briste
Got my first (and only I'm sure) card completion for the year: I feel a little dirty doing it, but I'm using the 'Young Justice Animated Series' DLC picture from LEGO DC Super-Villains as my yellow. I feel less dirty because I did play virtually the entire game last month as well, so it's not a 15 minute DLC image only. I swapped out the Genshin DLC image for Bioshock to add a game with a platinum to the list. I'm pretty happy with my card. Square doesn't get a lot right these days, but they got the game art perfect for this event. I was able to use all six games from the Pixel Remaster release (and my favorte games ever) for the event and then I got a good mix of other games in there too. A walking sim in Walden, a game, a short little platformer in Pumpkin Jack, a cute puzzle game in Unpacking, a challenging rogue-lite in Shiren the Wander, a behemoth sports game in Madden 23, two excellent FPS's in Battlefield: Bad Company (in under the wire with the server closure) and Call of Duty: World at War, a game I could play with my sons with LEGO DC Super-Villains and a classic with the original Bioshock. All in all, this was a fun idea and a great event. I won't have time to finish another card so I'll take the opportunity to say thank you to @DrBloodmoney right now for hosting Hope everyone has a happy holiday season and can finish up all those last minute entries before the end of the year!
Popular Post Zanreo
One game left update: For White, Like a Dragon Gaiden! Another great game in the Yakuza/LAD series, and interesting to see them try a shorter one. The trophy list was relatively easy and chill, a nice game to complete while waiting for LAD8. For Deep Purple, Smile for Me! Loved the artstyle and the weird and fun vibes here. Lots of interesting characters! Now, just Red left, which I'm doing What the Dub for... just some more rounds to go left...

Final Fantasy would get close, yeah - though I remember having a laugh when I was originally conceiving the event, when I realised that a person could - if they played the PS4 version of Cities Skylines and all it's DLC in the same year, actually be able to fill out 90% of a card, just with that one game!
Popular Post Zanreo
And with that... I'm done! What the Dub for Red, fun party game where you replace missing text in movie clips with your own lines, but a pain to grind out by yourself. Thankfully, I got to play it with friends recently to make the grind less annoying!

Popular Post DrBloodmoney
And with that, my 4th Card and final (for 2023) card is complete, courtesy of Kona! A decent enough little indie adventure / survival game. It's got some odd charm, via it's strangely amateurish voice work, and actually has some decent detective vibes to it at times, as well as doing a good job making the environment feel bitterly cold and harsh... ...but the mystery is a little weak, and some of the graphical and mechanical technicalities are pretty ropey! Worth a curiosity play, but a little rough around the edges. This one was one of my only "targeted plays" - had the game for a while (actually, since the PS4 version, but the free upgrade meant at least playing the latest one,) but decided to get 'er one before the cutoff to finalise this list... ...as it's a pretty clear White one! Previously Completed Cards: 1. 2. 3. Been very happy with the way the event has gone this year - it's all been pretty chill, with not too many instances of me having to call out genuinely cheeky tries - glad to have a natural stopping point for my own cards come up so close to the end, and hope to see some (or all!) of you next time around, in the 2024 Rainbow Room! 🌈☮️❤️👋 Edited December 15, 2023 by DrBloodmoney

Oooooh, I'll have to note that for Skylines next year! 😂 I actually made a theoretical Final Fantasy card a few months back, which I'll share here for giggles. I prioritized main numbered entries over other games and was able to get all of them except for X-2 and XIII: Lightning Returns. (Ignores XI and XIV) My only issue was the Brown tile! Type-0 has a bit of brown with Ace's hair - and some of the background is brownish - but that is drowned out by the prominent use of red, and I couldn't find any other game (main entry or not) that fit well. 5

Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Okay, I've come to the point that I think it's safe to say that I won't get a fifth card done, all the games I want to play at the moment aren't the colours I need and I doubt any Xmas gifts will change the trajectory of that too much, I do want to wrap up with the remains of my final card and ranking as well as determine the best colour of game. Without any more delay my fifth card: Hidden Agenda: Yeah this isn't the strongest card in terms of quality, but I do enjoy my time with this game, I like how genuinely variable the opening and the final act are, this is one of the few times in these kinds of games where you truly do feel like you are choosing the outcome of the story. Star Trek Resurgence: From a studio formed Ex-Telltale leaded, here is a pretty good story in the franchise... Shame I know nothing about Star Trek other than who Spock is. It is very engaging though, but their were some bugs that caused me to reset and it never felt like you were influencing the story outside of a few select moments. Endling: Extinction is Forever: I saw a fox in my back garden the other day. That was cute. This game is cute to, but it's short length weakens the package, since survival in this game is not hard and I never ran out of food to eat. Rocket Arena: A decently fun hero. There's a good consistent theme and focus on knockback and verticality. Shame that is going offline soon. The XP boost removes much of the grind so it remains quite fun throughout. But currently there's only bots and 4 randomly selected game modes. It needed more customisation for private play and more modes overall. Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves: A Coop level pack that utilises the PS Move in the most generic way. It's the pointing at the screen kind of game. But of course it's LBP, it's very well designed and fun. (but the Move Pack DLC in 2 is way better) El Hijo: A stealth game that corrupted on me right before my final trophy... yay... It is alright, but going for the never spotted trophy makes this game so frustrating and I wish I'd just played it normally. Lego Dimensions: Back to the Future Level Pack: It's the worst Lego Dimensions level! (Yipee) it's so short and doesn't tell most of the movie's story. But it's a lego game and I enjoy them. Hidden Cats in London: This is the best hidden cats game. The city mode is quite fun. It is still very short, and I'd only recommend it at a discount. Goosebumps: I used a guide for this because I was playing it for the 23/09/23 event. I thought the graphics looked pretty. Press me on what I was doing though and I'd tell you I have no clue Speaking Simulator: A rage game whose joke gets boring very quickly, and story isn't interesting. It's impressive that there's a game whose gameplay makes the story harder to play and whose story makes that gameplay impossible if you decide to focus on it. Foreclosed: A bad shooter, it's got a lot of big ideas... but it's just not well executed. Breakingthegreen's Unscientific Ranking of a Number of games that I Lost Count of and Won't Check Spoiler Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time I was a Teenage Exocolonist Persona 5 Royal (PS5) Inscryption (PS5) Inscryption (PS4) Humanity Marvel's Spider-Man 2 The Quarry (PS4) Moss Book II (PS4) Killer Frequency Chirocy: A Colorful Tale (PS4) Stray (PS4) Road 96: Mile 0 God of War: Ragnarok Sayonara Wild Hearts Remember Me Inside Lego Dimensions Unpacking Watch Dogs Legion F.I.S.T. My Purples peaked with Rumbleverse at 45th out of 75. Though mind you, Have to agree that Deep Purple have some hella good titles, I still listen to the Sayonara soundtrack.
