A pretty clear Grey on this one!

 

 

Haven't kept up with CoD in a decade, but after being recommended this one, I picked it up in a sale, and was pleasantly surprised!

 

A good, slick action thriller, with pretty amazing visuals, fun gameplay, and a really good variety of scenarios across a tight campaign. Action packed, with good, memorable characters, fantastic audio and visuals... and occasionally even something to say about terrorism and counter-terrorism combat. It paints with a broad brush, for sure, as is to be expected with CoD, but keeps the morals ambiguous enough to maintain credibility as you rip and tear through the story.

 

Still got the Spec Ops to do, but with that separated to its own DLC list, and the main list complete, it earns a spot on the rainbow - marking my promotion to Rainbow Appreciator! ?

And adding a white game, Deeeer Simulator (could also have been yellow, but white game icons seem somewhat rarer so:)

 

So this was a game I got on sale a while back but didn't play before now. Really silly and stupid in the best way, you play as a deer running around the city being an absolute menace, attaching guns and grenades to your horns, occasionally fighting animal cops, and stretching your looooong neck to attach to things. Overall, it was fun, despite the sometimes janky physics (which I know is some of the charm, but it got a bit too annoying to control at times)

Was Deeeeer Simulator made by the same people that made the Goat Simulator games because the physics look the same.

Not much to say here. It is a pretty easy Spin Off but i enjoyed it  

Seeing the Persona 3 Cast in P5 Style makes me wish that the rumored Remake is true ( maybe it is but we will see) 

Next  Goal will be Yellow though the Game image makes it not so easy to decide

I'm back to PSNP after a while (vacations ?) and it's time to start working and filling my rainbow...
I actually completed a few games over January so let's begin:

 

I don't know if Trek To Yomi will be fine for white to be honest, of course @DrBloodmoney i will listen any objections on the colors and make the changes if needed.

 

Currently working on Dragon Quest Builders 2 (what an enjoyable game!) for Light Blue!

I hadn't really considered Trek to Yomi as a White - I had simply thought Grey, and moved on - but looking at it now, I could totally see it working for a White actually. It gets very light in the upper section of the image, so I'd say you're good ?

Got another one, 2nd stack of Resident Evil 2, for light blue. 

 

Not sure what's next. Evil Genius 2 seems appealing but we'll see. 

 

Edit: the image got heavily compressed for whatever reason, I'll try a different hosting website next time.

Ok, I need a decision made again lol. Originally, I thought Senran Kagura Bon Appitet would be great for Yellow. But after putting it on the board, it looks more Orange, but not quite. So. Which color is it slotted for?

I think it works right on the borderline, so would be fine for both - but my recommendation would be Yellow... for two reasons.

 

Firstly, I think it's closer to Yellow...

...and secondly, Yellow is a pain in the butt to find one for, so if you get a chance at a yellow, you take it! ?

Awesome. Yea, I originally wanted it for yellow then added it to the board and went OH NO. lol.

 

Ok! Time for an update then:

Yellow: Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! Fun little rhythm game. Only one "Hard" trophy, the rest were for playing through and a grind. Only thing I really wish this game had was a "random" mode. There are only set play lists, or playing one specified song at a time. Which means I played one song over and over to reach my grind goals. I would have much rather just done random songs the whole time. Oh well.

 

I did get the play for Lego DC Villains, but I am not slotting it yet. It looks like the DLC images have transparent backgrounds, so I might use that to slot Orange/Blue/Red. Or the main image into green maybe. I dunno yet. Hmmm. Maybe I should slot that and Biomutant to get to 7 colors....

Hi, all! It's great to see all the progress everyone is making! I've officially got my 4th game on the board! As always, my updated checklist is in the spoiler below.

Purple

Persian Nights: Sands of Wonders

 

I know I'm usually pretty wordy with my updates. But, to be honest, there's not much to say about this game. It's one of Artifex Mundi's standard Hidden Object games. The atmosphere of the game was nice, and I can appreciate the world building the game was trying to do. But, it just fell sort of...flat, and left you with more questions than answers a lot of the time. Indeed, while the gameplay was relaxing, the story was very...meh, and included one-dimensional characters and old, worn-out cliches (Truly, it reminded me strongly of Disney's Aladdin). I wouldn't play it again. (Thank god there was a walkthrough to get everything done in one playthrough!). And, I'd have a very hard time recommending it to anyone, to be perfectly honest, unless you happen to really be a fan of Hidden Object games.

 

With that being said, the purples seem to be harder colors to fill for this challenge, and with this one being such a light purple, it's set me up perfectly to use Knockout City as my Deep Purple when I'm done with it, lol. So, at least there's that!

Didnt realize how hard it was to determine their colors but was able to figure it out with some help. Had a hard time determining GTA 3 due to its color between blue and gray. Ultimately came down to light blue but took some time to set it correspondingly. 

 

 

Brown (Biomutant) was a very interesting game to say the least. Its fun and quirky, but it becomes a chore towards the end. A lot of bugs and glitches but nothing too detrimental, just chops the flow of the game. I had a fun time with it, the story kept me intrigued but i feel like it fell short, felt it couldve had much more potential. Overall I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a stress reliever, something to rest the mind from a hard and tedious platinum like RDR2 or something along those lines.

 

Next was Grand Theft Auto 3 Definitive Edition. 5th time playing this my entire life but anyone who is anyone has played this game at least once (or I hope so for the sake of this "review") so its not much different than the original. The graphics were "updated" but thats about it. This definitely felt like a quick cash grab from Rockstar as they couldnt even implement simple upgrades. Their excuse to "keep things like the original" was just a lazy excuse to do the bare minimum. Although I did enjoy it because of nostalgia and being groundbreaking at the time, much time was needed to do a proper upgrade to this classic game. This game is an all time classic and I will always recommend experiencing it. Because of this game, Rockstar was able to build off of this template and create a gargantuan mammoth known today as GTA5 (GTA6 will break the internet). This one will stress you out towards the platinum but wont make you pull your hair.

 

Just a quick update of my last two games. These two new games fit so much better in their respective colors.

For light blue, GTA Vice City is a more fitting candidate rather than GTA 3. The game is great and a better improvement from GTA 3, visually and gameplay wise. Not much else to say

For brown, Lost in Random also fit better over Biomutant. So overall Im more satisfied with the new ones taking over. As for Lost in Random, the game is very unique, like very unique. The combat system is something I never experienced before where you roll a die and choose cards from a deck you customize in which correspond with how much you roll on the die but its not turn based. Really weird but it works flawlessly and the story is somewhat of generic but with its own identity to fit the game. Of course there were flaws but not enough to warrant complaints. Recommend this game for an easy plat and an out of box experience.

Yup - works fine now!

 

Yeah - not sure why exactly, but spoiler tags get broken if you use any emoticon...

....except, (for some reason, hitherto unbeknown by science,) the PSNProfiles specific ones (the little batch at the very bottom of the emoticons list.)

 

For some reason, those ones are fine, but all the other, "generic" ones break any spoiler tags that appear anywhere in the same post
