Popular Post Shyjun
First game of tier 2 done. I needed to play some PS3 games for another challenge and stumbled upon Epic Mickey 2 in the PS+ streaming library. Well it was the first time I had to play a game following a walkthrough step-by-step (I usually prefer to play blind as much as possible) for some of the rarest trophies as you can screw up a playthrough (around 15-20 hours) in so many ways like saying yes instead of no to a random NPC, hence the rarity. Still it was fun playing and I might check out the remaster of the first game when it comes out this year. Popular Post CorgiBootyy
Made progress on 2 games finishing Uncharted 4 DLC and Black Ops II. Both with UR DLC trophies. Tier 1 is looking to all be backlog items with no platinums for me. Still grinding out some stuff like Monster Hunter World + Iceborne here and there. (NHL 10 is obviously impossible to plat, but there are still 2 UR trophies that I can earn offline).

Popular Post HedleyNEUK
Finally an update from me! Such a slow start to the year given I wanted to best my last 2 years attempts My daughter is that age that she has all of my attention until about 8pm, then by the time im fed im too tired to play 2 UR completions in March, Greedfall and The Escapists Greedfall was decent! I really enjoyed the story, the world, and the builds etc. Controls are clunky but I've platted much worse. I managed to skim a guide to mark the save points to help with the missables, and not spoil the story. That said i then did end up mucking up one love interest and needed an extra 2 hours run to get that trophy. Even with the correct save its important to know that the interaction/chat with a companion after each of their submissions is important. The Escapists was fair, i did the escapists 2 last year so thought id smash this out the way too! Easy enough, some rank grindy stuff that is best thought of during the 6 prison escapes, so that you are just doing one thing repeatedly at the end. Flooding toilets felt like it wasn't counting but popped eventually. Close on a few of the others on Tier 1, just need to set the time to get on with them!
Popular Post berto113
Update to Tier 1. Removed NCAA Football 11 and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Replaced them with Cities: Skylines (recently 100%'d) and MGS 2: Sons of Liberty. Attempting to finish the last 6 hold up missions using the M4 with Snake MSG 1 to finally get the platinum, which seems almost impossible at this point.
Popular Post Shrooba
Game IV is done, the 100% for Grand Theft Auto IV! It's been a long time coming. Man, what a fantastic game. I'd wanted to dive into this one for years, but never did because I didn't trust the wild-west nature of an online PS3 game in the 2020's! 😅 Luckily, some friends, being @PlutoRico and @YaManSmevz offered to help out, and I knew that this would be my one shot if I wanted to do this. You've got, I'd say, 4 major sections of GTA 4 as a whole: the main story, the multiplayer, The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony. The former are both components that make up the original IV experience, with the latter being 2 expansions, where you explore the entirety of Liberty City through the perspective of two additional protagonists, Johnny and Luis. I finished the main IV portion in 2023, and got into the DLC expansions this year. Nonetheless, I also wanted to include some of my thoughts on the main game itself! When I started IV, like with any game, I try to nail down the trophies I expect myself to find problematic first, in this case, the multiplayer. However, this really did make me a fish outta water, as I was essentially learning the controls while doing the grind! 😅 You've got to win every single race and mode the game has to offer for the AWP trophy, which generally comes down to finding a car and going from Point A to B, boat racing, helicopter racing... Alongside that, you've got some team-based versus modes, and the dreaded 2 trophies, being Fly the Co-op and Wanted. Similarly to the expansion, TBoGT, Fly the Co-op has time requirements set out by the devs that you MUST meet in order to fulfill it. In essence, you've got three multiplayer missions where you get up to antics and fight enemies, and each member of your team, including yourself, will have to dedicate themselves to particular roles, like who'll fly the helicopter, or who'll end up planting bombs on what areas of a giant boat, or even generally who'll find a vehicle while the others hold off enemies. The collaboration in and of itself is sort of like a mini-zombies experience akin to the CoD series, genre differences aside! 😅 The story itself in the main game is also fantastic. While crime is a focus of the game, the protagonist, Niko Bellic, doesn't relish in it. He's got principles, and he loves the people important in his life, but he's moved fresh out of the country with scars from a prior war, and sets himself to find a (former) fellow soldier who betrayed his group. I won't spoil it, but the way in which it comes to an end, where Niko faces his goal, left me feeling like nobody ever has some mastermind, grandiose plan. Most people you work for in GTA 4's narrative are fueled by the prospect of money, and compared to Niko, a jaded war veteran, it made for a fascinating contrast. Niko himself does what he does for money, after all, but believe me, there's nuance to it. What I find so interesting is that, while IV and TLaD have a tone more grounded in the gritty nature of Liberty City, TBoGT unabashedly decides to flip the knob on the action, the night life, the glamour, and pure fun of what Liberty City has to offer. You'll be stealing helicopters, a tank, a literal train, and intercepting enemies on boats, and you'll also be racing cars and doing stunt jumps in the heat of a police chase... Holy hell, TBoGT is a wild ride. The intensity doesn't end with the story missions either, you've also got some really awesome parachute jumps which is the trophy I finished the game with. You'll be jumping off some of the tallest buildings in Liberty City and landing on moving vehicles, or straight up jumping from the heights of the sky, directly out of helicopters, to glide through rings and land on targets. I believe GTA V is more action-packed compared to IV since I've seen the story for it, and TBoGT feels like a natural bridge between the two, like the experimentation really started to show with TBoGT being not only closure, but what Rockstar was willing to present. Awesome stuff. Also, TBoGT's story is bloody hilarious. Seriously, the characters here, especially Yusuf and Mori, have some wild dialogue, and it made repeating missions for the Gold Star trophy a blast... EXCEPT for the Sexy Time mission... the one where you need to hijack a helicopter on a yacht and shoot the ones who flee on boats... Never again. 😂 Actually, I don't think I mentioned it yet, but the three stories here? They all play out alongside each other. While other DLC stories I've played usually take place after the main game is said and done, you'll get moments where each of the protagonists meet, and it may seem minor, but it really fleshes out the world, and makes it feel as though you're just experiencing a slice of Liberty City. I loved it. All in all, especially as a complete package, GTA IV is a fantastic game! 1. Trackmania 2020 (PS5) - 1.10% - DONE 2. Jet Car Stunts (PS3) - 4.37% - DONE 3. Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds - 1.79% - DONE 4. Grand Theft Auto IV (100%) - 0.49% - DONE 5. Popular Post tony_snake_24
After some time, I finally come with an update. I finished Hunt: Showdown. Hunt Showdown was quite fun but dragged on towards the end. It is a FPS extraction shooter with PVP and PVE, set in a wild west dark fantasy world. You enter a map and have to kill one or two bosses and extract with the bounty they drop, but first you need to find their lair by running around investigating 3 clues or running into it with some luck. Other people have the same objective and can ambush you and kill you, or sneakily extract with the second bounty (bosses drop 2 each) after you are far away. Essentially the bosses are there to draw players together, as for example, after killing a boss, you have to wait for it to banish, and that takes a while and marks the boss' location on everyone's map. Also, when you pick up a bounty you appear on the map wherever you go, so hiding is pointless. The monsters of the world can also be quite deadly, and have pretty good designs. Speaking of designs, I really like the tone they went for overall, the music and the art of the traits your hunters can equip, and that of the trophies themselves. The main mode is Bounty Hunt, which I briefly explained already, but your playable characters, the Hunters, have permadeath, so to get new ones you have to play the second mode, where you also run around in the map closing rifts (same thing as the clues basically), or buy them with money, or real life money (skins and such). The game has a huge focus on noise mechanics. If you fire shots or use explosives, they will be heard across the map, louder the closer you are, of course. There are also noise traps, such as broken glasses or hanging chains, as well as animals that make noise when you pass close to them, specially if you run. There are groups of crows, ducks in the water, dying horses, caged dogs, and the freaking chicken coops (more on this later lol), and some enemies carry rusty revolvers that fire off and explode when they hit you. This is done to get players together to fight, attract enemies or alert you of someone's presence, so stealth is a big component. It can make the game very tense, and NPCs can activate some of them too. It's kinda like a survival horror sometimes. There are also status effects. Bleeding lowers your health overtime, poison prevents you from healing, and burning can take away health permanently, which leads me to the next point. You have multiple health bars. You regen health automatically only up to your current bar, then you need to use medkits. Burning and dying will make you lose health bars permanently until you die for real (you can be revived if you play duos or trios, or revive yourself with a certain trait if you play solo). The only ways to regain the health bars are banishing a boss or buying them after a match if you survive. The weapons are realistic (reload animations, etc.) and plentiful, and most of them are real wild west era guns, with some exceptions lol (Bomb Lance my beloved ❤️) https://huntshowdown.fandom.com/wiki/Bomb_Lance. There are many ammo types too, that make it more fun but not realistic for sure. The trophies mostly consist of killing 50 bosses, extracting 100 bounties, ranking up, and some miscellaneous trophies and grinds. Burning 50 chicken coops is specially annoying because the ratio of spawning versus caged dogs is like 1 to 4. A really hard one is getting 100 headshots on real players, as well as getting a kill by throwing a hammer, a weapon that spawns randomly in the world. Thankfully, and very much so, they can be boosted. The game is mostly a grind, but it was fun and intense. The only really difficult one is having 5 hunters at level 50 at the same time, as you need 2 or 3 matches and like I said, there is permadeath, so you could lose them. However, and this is the reason I said it dragged on at the end, there is a trophy for retiring 25 hunters, which you could do after hitting level 25, which was one good match of killing 1 boss and extracting, but just as I got my 5 at level 50, and retired another hunter, the devs updated the game with multiple questionable changes, and you now need all hunters to be level 50 before they can be retired. This increases the time it takes to level them up and the risk of losing them by up to 3 times, as you need 2 or 3 good matches rather than 1. You can play on Oceania servers to find less, or no players, and use an alt and suicide to spectate and see if you are alone, and extract if not, to avoid losing your hunter. But I couldn't use my ps4 at the time so most of the game was done legit in my case. I fixed my ps4 and used it some days after the retirement update as I was getting tired and to reduce risk and unnecessary stress. I did lose 4 hunters before that however, 3 to other players and 1 to the stupid server not connecting. It just wouldn't load correctly and when time runs out or you leave, you lose the hunter. They were level 30 and 1 of them 40, so I should have been able to retire them safely were it not for this dumb update. Something about fighting other players feels off. I didn't really enjoy the few encounters I had. But it does get your blood pumping for sure. Most of them were in the second mode, where you don't really lose much. People would put concertina wire traps on you in case you revived, so you instantly died again until you ran out of health bars. If you want to make sure someone dies that's the way to do it, but it does feel toxic and unfair when it happens to you. The game runs terribly on ps4 as well. Much, much better on ps5. And this is the reason I played this game now in the first place, as the devs are shutting down the PS4 version "sometime in April" this year, changing the engine and releasing a native version on PS5. A future autopop and free upgrade awaits. Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
I haven't updated at all yet this year, but thought I'd pop in to say that Weird West (PS5) is sitting at 4.99% Platinum Rarity and it's a game I listed as one of my Tier 1's. From the Rule 5 it's still eligible as long as one can prove it was UR at some point this year. Voila!
Popular Post tony_snake_24
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is a 4 player co-op game that was part of ps plus in 2022, set in a medieval world with fantasy elements, where you have to infiltrate guarded fortresses and areas, steal the key from the Sheriff, find the treasure gate, steal the treasure from the Estate, and get to the extraction point and defend the treasure chest. That's the gameplay loop. And it's a good one, but there is not much else to it so it gets stale soon. It's inspired by Robin Hood tales. I mean, medieval times, Hood in the title, an archer called Robin, and you literally steal from the rich (corrupt Estate) and can give it to the people, or upgrade your hideout. There is a PVP mode of 4 vs 4 with the same objectives, just with some competition, ha, but it's mostly dead. The 4 player co-op vs AI is able to find matches, specially since there is cross-play. The game is dead, specially since it's a live service MP game with battle-passes, but not so dead that there are 0 players. I wanted to do this game sometime this year before it's too late, so when the opportunity arose to do the 8 people trophies, I took it. A friend of mine and a few other fellow boosters were looking for people to do these trophies and we managed to do them all in one session and go from 0% to 65% in 5 hours. The rest of the trophies took much longer though. The reason why is because we played sparingly, and because you need to win 35 times with each of the 4 launch characters, to complete their "legend" (a story about them). Post-launch they added a 5th character and thank the lord for that one not being required too. The game is fun, specially chatting with friends, but 140 wins was a bit much. Much worse grinds out there though. There are 4 characters you can play as: - Robin. The archer. Great for long distance stealth kills. Can't really fight so better be stealthy. A good archer can clean the area of enemies so quickly. He has a ghostly arrow that explodes as his special skill. - Marianne. The Assassin. She can stealth kill from every direction, not just from the back like the rest, has good smoke bombs and an invisibility special skill. She sweeps the floor with enemies as long as you maintain stealth. Can also fire 3 small bolts from her arm mounted crossbow. - John. This guy is brutal. He's big and strong. He can destroy enemies with his hammer and lift up huge medieval iron gates for teammates to pass, creating access points. He reminds me of Kratos. His special ability is also a rage mode with faster and stronger attacks, so yeah. He has a poweful bomb too as gear. - Tooke. He's more of a support character but can be quite useful too. He can actually fight enemies with his flail, and down the Sheriff, like John. He can heal and mark enemies with his special ability, and he's fast. The enemies you face are regular soldiers with swords, crossbow men, archers (rarely, and much faster-shooting and deadlier than crossbow guys), some armored, stronger soldiers with a purple outline when you mark them for your team, and purple health bar too, and the Sheriff, who guards the key. The Sheriff is a giant guy that can insta-kill you, literally crushing your head, if you get close enough (the game is a bit gory yeah haha, you can also explode enemies' heads with many attacks). Think of him as a Mr. X from Resident Evil 2. He fast walks towards you too, if he spots you. Only Tooke, keeping the distance with his flail, John, with his hammer and bomb, and Robin, with his special arrow ability, can damage him. Once you damage him enough, he stays incapacitated for a while. Stealth is key, but you can also go loud, kind of, and only with John, Tooke, or Marianne if you use her special ability or the smoke bombs. The best way to kill the purple guys is definitely stealth. The AI is a bit dumb. You can easily clear an area throwing rocks to distract them. However, it is very easy to die too. John and Marianne usually die from one hit, and the crossbow guys rarely miss. Sometimes John and Tooke also die from a single arrow. They can take 2 or 3 hits from a soldier at most. When extracting the chest, you have to defend a circle around it from enemies for a bar to fill, to finish the match and win. If the Sheriff gets to the chest, he will smash it with his hands and it's game over. Luckily, for each of the 6 maps, there is at least 1 spot where you can get the Sheriff stuck there so he won't bother you, making it much easier. As for the regular enemies, comically running away, far from the chest area with 5, 10 guys behind you is the best way to do it lol, while your teammates take out the remaining few. This prevents more enemies from spawning. Plus, it's very fun to watch lol. This game has full autopop both ways. I played on PS5 and then got the PS4 plat. It has familiar stealth mechanics like hiding in bushes, whistling and throwing rocks, and despite overstaying its welcome a bit, it's fun enough. A few boosting sessions and co-op with some buddies to clean-up. It reminds me of Assassin's Creed, God of War, and Resident Evil 2. I would recommend it for an event like this one. Just one more game to complete Tier 1. And I expect to be sharing more updates soon. For now, I'll leave Armored Core there, but I'm hoping to get RBWY: Grimm Eclipse and Hunter's Arena Legends done ASAP. But maybe I'll do Hawken quickly before finishing those. I will also take a break from boosting and doing online games all week rather soon to focus on God of War 2018 as I approach the 200 plats milestone. See you soon Tier 1 - Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (PS5) (100%) (3.22%, 1.99%) - Armored Core Verdict Day (91%) (1.49%) - Hunt: Showdown (100%) (3.47%) - Hood: Outlaws and Legends (PS5) (100%) (2.43%) - Hood: Outlaws and Legends (PS4) (100%) (2.40%) Edited March 26 by tony_snake_24
Popular Post Riiszk
The Crew Fun: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 What a game this was, I'm really glad I didn't miss out on this one. For a few weeks back in December and January, no one could connect to the servers and I said to myself if they work again I'll do it. I knew the risks and decided to go ahead with it anyway. Those risks being potentially broken trophies that Ubisoft are extremely stubborn on helping with. There isn't really anyone who can say for certain how these trophies break, they just do, and almost randomly. My way of thinking, along with many others, was that it was something to do with other players, joining crews, racing others, etc. So I avoided all that. I avoided everything to do with anyone else until I finished the 4 breakable trophies. Though, even while doing this I had two moments of complete dejection. Rough Terrain - Drive offroad. Drive offroad some more. Then keep doing it. Once reaching 2,000 miles and driving in circles for about 12 hours, your trophy should unlock. I read stories of peoples tracker stopping at 90+%. I couldn't imagine how I'd react if that was me, I just always hoped it kept on ticking up each percent. I watched mine like a hawk, but again, I never experienced anything others were talking about. I did have a small heart attack though. I use kilometres, not miles, so every 1% of 2,000 miles is 32.19km. So with this knowledge, I'd know almost exactly when the tracker should go up. Right towards the end I checked my percent and it said 99%, so I knew that somewhere within the next 32km it'll go up to 100%. I nervously checked at 10km and it hadn't moved off 99%. I got to 22km and it still was at 99%. I then went all the way to 32km and I didn't have a trophy. I opened the tracker and it was showing 99%. I felt my heart sink, closed the menu and took off in my car. Within 2 seconds the trophy popped. I realised what happened.. I completely forgot about that extra 190metres in the 32.19km. I had coincidentally checked my percentage only a second or two after to ticked over to 99%. I felt stupid, but relieved. Overclocker - 5,000 miles in a single vehicle. I did basically the same as before, but in a faster car doing circles at 250mph this time. I did the math and it worked out faster to just use my fastest vehicle to get to the 5k miles, rather than my offroad vehicle doing another 3k. Though, right at the end the game wanted to play around with me. I completed the 5,000 miles and then some. I checked my tracker and it was saying 99%. I looked again at how many kilometres I'd done and it was very much over the 8,047km required. I did some more, maybe another 15km. Still nothing. I stopped and opened my phone to find answers, but immediately closed it again as I'd read everything already and knew I would just have to try my luck with Ubisoft who had seemingly helped on average 1/100 people. I started driving just thinking what the hell am I going to do. Then, all of a sudden while in those thoughts and barely looking at where I was even driving, I heard the trophy sound. I have never in 13 years of trophy hunting across my few accounts been so relieved at getting a trophy. The online side of the game was quite terrible. Took 20 hours worth of attempts to get 2 crews of 4 going, but with some struggle, it finally happened and we got the trophies we needed. The online was so dull it really isn't worth mentioning. Though, I did really enjoy the other sides of the game. In particular the skill events. You only need 500/597 gold, but I didn't want to leave it there. I got all 597 platinumed, and just after that very last platinum skill, I deleted the game. Tier 1: Warface 0.55% ✅ The Crew 0.98% ✅

However, there are quite a few aspects of the trophy list I really did enjoy, I really enjoyed the speedrun trophy, way more than I expected to actually. What it does really well - is that, it really does allow you to truly figure out what does, and doesn't work with Trico as a companion, as far as commands go, it forces you to be efficient remember patterns, puzzles, and to always be mindful of what you can and can't get away with, and that aspect of it was really interesting to experience. I do - as a general rule - try and find a as many positives as possible, where I can, so I did think it was worth mentioning that not every aspect of the trophy hunting experience was awful or anything, there's just some very finicky ones that can really make you nervous, like All Talked Out, and Intensive Care, which I almost managed to miss the former, as I nearly missed a hint from Trico laying down on top of the little round headed boy, which should have triggered a hint, but didn't, but it turned out that was one of the hints you can hear at a different point in the game as well, and still turn out fine, so that was a relief.... Intensive care though, yeah, that one is a nail biter right until the end, as you spend half your time on the ending screen like this thinking.... Waiting eagerly for the trophy to pop.... Which may not have happened for me more than once.... I guess I must have missed a spear somewhere in the Chincatillabirdog's fur (I even checked near his bumhole.... now that's diligence for you ....) Oh well, I got there in the end. I did write a fair bit of waffle in various places about how much I do like the game overall though, so if you want to read that, and it's obviously completely optional, I'll drop it in a spoiler bubble below. Spoiler s it a bird? Is it a plane, no it's..... Okay, so I guess I should rephrase that - is it a dog? Is it a cat? Is it a bird? Is it even a chinchilla? Well... I don't know, you don't know.... it's a Trico, which is an easier thing to write than the name I came up with for him.... Which was a Chincatillabirdog.... I'll erm, come back to that, I say what I see I guess? So as far as quick thoughts on this game go.... What a fantastic game this is... so long as you take the trophies out of the equation entirely, which I think when thinking about games in general you probably ought to do. I'll just say this now, the trophy hunting side of this game is pretty miserable, it's long-winded, has a lot of finicky trophies in it, which are tied to either un-trackable collectibles, or just playing the game in a pretty unnatural way, like standing around for 5 minutes at a time waiting for the game to tell you what to do.... That being said, it doesn't at all impinge on the games quality, when you just view it as game, or experience. Much like a lot of other Team Ico games, The Last Guardian possesses a real depth to it - a brilliant heart and soul, setting out to tell a particular story, and doing it using just minimal dialogue and masterful visual storytelling. That side of it really appeals to the film-maker in me I find it so refreshing when developers feel brave and bold enough to do this. It really does excel in this department. I really did feel a tangible bond with Trico the more that I played the game. To the point, where I found myself audibly being like "good job buddy" then giving him a stroke in the game when he actually listens to your commands 🤣 Also, the game looks stunning visually, and it's pretty tough to tell that this game has been out as long as it has. It's also got some great pieces of sound design in there, fantastic soundtrack - yet also in the fact that Trico's various roars and noises are cobbled together from other recognisable animal sounds, tweaked and pitched differently to create something unique. really great stuff. It's one of those games where although the trophy hunting side of it is a little rough, I still think this game is absolutely worth experiencing if you get a chance to. I made a little bit of Star Ocean progress about a week ago, but I've not touched it for a little bit, as I'm mainly at the "Just mindlessly grinding Battle Trophies" stage of that platinum.... and for some reason I decided to do Meracle's dedicated item drops recently.... and even on a day when I was apparently "lucky enough to win the lottery" I still got probably less than fifty drops that day, so that was a thing that happened I definitely ought to boot it up though and start making some progress on it though, as I do actually want to finish it this year, I have no idea what game will appear next in here though, as I really just don't think all too hard about what I'm playing next, I guess I'm too laid back for that. Either way, catch you all in the next one!!
MoreFuego
Am I allowed to post Final Fantasy VII Rebirth? It is UR atm and it’s about to be a month since its release. However by the looks of it, it won’t be UR for too long.

It was a really great game to me but a very long one. I spent over 150 hours on this game and it felt like some things will never end. As there is too much to say about this game right now including spoilers, I will say that the hardest parts of the platinum come from the endgame VR missions. There are minigames in this game that can be troublesome, but nothing too crazy as there are amazing guides online. The combat was really great, the story was good for the most part and the characters are more charming this time around! Now just need to wait 5 more years to the next entry lol Difficulty wise I would give it a 6.5/10. Rating wise I would give it a 8.5/10.
