Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #97 Resistance: Retribution Retribution Paid Fun: 6/10 Diffictuly: 3/10 Time: 11 hours I'll be honest, I installed this game because I was curious, but because I died because I accidentally threw a grranade at myself I got a trophy and while I don't care about my completion rate, I felt kind of locked into this game. But because I did not have as much fun as I expected, I was going through it at a very slow rate, of course I was so slow that version 1.01 released which made the platinum unobtainable for quite a lot of people including me, ngl that bug did not really frustrate me because I knew that a patch was coming, just did not know how long it'd take. I am glad that I had a quick save where I only had to hit the final boss a few more times, so I got the platinum kind of with ease once the patch released. Let's talk about how I feel about the game: I really like the weapons, I had not played Resistance games for like 14 years but I still knew some of the weapons, what they did and what they were called, so that made me smile. I do know that there are some weapon that you can get via intel, so I never got those, but it was cool to have the weapons that I had, I just don't trust myself with the grenades. Next up is the characters, I dislike them. Either they were so dumb that I wanted to punch them, or they were annoying or they just weren't interested, whenever a character died I was either saying "Who?" or "Thank goodness". However, I love the voice acting, it isn't amazing but it was really nice. Now the AI was also kind of frustrating IMO, the character AI of the allies was horrible because they would just stand inside of poisonous gas, they wouldn't dodge bullets, the bad thing about that is that they have a HP bar, I got a lot of game overs because of them. On the other hand, the AI of the enemies was really good, they would dodge bullets at the last second so they became also really annoying. The story to me was forgettable, it may be because I did not care about the characters, but I don't remember a single thing about the story, which is honestly a shame. The levers were mixed, some of them were great, like boss fights, the mech levels but others were sadly frustrating, I hated every time I had to go for a swim, so I was happy whenever some of these levels were over. I feel like that's everything, it is a shame that I feel like that, maybe I am just not made for this genre or maybe I expected too much, but this is the most negative I've been about a game, I always try to be positive, but this time I couldn't which is a bit of a shame, I hope that my next platinum will be a lot more fun. I do want to go for the Infected Mode one day, but for now I will take a break from this game. Here's the platinum screenshot, I like it, it's a nice one:

Popular Post OmriStyle27
#75 - Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (PS4) - Master Assassin Earn Every Other Trophy. ------------------------- Man, this game was sitting in my backlog for so many years and i'm so glad i finally got to play it. So basically this is the last old school Assassin's creed game before the series went all RPG , but unfortunately i think that this is one of the worst Assassin's Creed game and this is why: Let's talk about the good things first , the setting of AC Syndicate was amazing (this one taking place in Victorian London) , i think that the city in this game was one of the most vibrant cities i've ever encountered in a video game , so full of life , tones of people walking in the streets , and so many things things to see , from rivers and boats to tall building and iconic places like Buckingham Palace , Big Ben , Houses of Parliament and many more. this game also introduce a lot of important Historical Figures like Alexander Graham Bell, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, Queen victoria and a lot more which i thought was so cool to meet and interact with. also there are a lot of activates you can do in this city , there are fight clubs , carriage racing , Cargo heist , Bounty hunts , gang wars and a lot more. this game is kinda like a GTA game in the assassin's creed franchise , which is great in my opinion but sadly it's not perfect. Let's talk about the bad stuff , the story of AC Syndicate is probably the worst story i've ever experienced in an assassin's creed game. don't get me wrong , i love Evie and Jacob , but i think i like them more separately rather than together because when they are together they're kinda fight all the time (like real brother and sister , yeah i get it) and it's kind of annoying to be honest. also i'm not a big of having more than one protagonist because it's make it harder for me to follow the story and it's also a bit confusing , like one moment i'm looking for the piece of eden with Evie and next mission i'm assassinating someone with Jacob , it feels really inconsistent and there is a big gap between the 2 siblings , personality wise and goals wise , each of them act different and want different things. not to mention this game has the most boring antagonist that you only get to meet at the final mission , he barely know you even exists until the end of the game. and his goons are also boring , not much back story and you get to kill each of them pretty quickly. like i didn't even felt that i'm doing something important by killing them , it was just like whatever , on to the next assassination target. so yeah the story didn't grab me at all and it was a bit messy , confusing and felt a bit like a filler to me. only the last mission felt important but other than that i felt like they give me some people to kill just to prolong the final act. and the last worst thing was the parkour system , this game has this baby-proof mechanic that basically means you can't make jumps that will hurt you or kill you. so everytime you will run and parkour between building you will get stuck a lot because some jumps are a bit too big , it really took all the flow that the parkour system used to have in the old assassin's creed game , i felt like the game holding my hand all the time and stopping me from doing any mistakes. there is also 0 maneuvers here , you basically run in a straight line all the time with small gaps , no cool jumping for building to building , no side jumping for ledges , nothing. to sum up: i love this franchise it's one of my favorites and i'm glad i got to play AC Syndicate and i do think it's a good game , but i just think it's one of the weakest in franchise due to bad story and poor parkour mechanics. Popular Post RylahPlatin
Platinum #51 [Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon] Total Playtime: 11 hours Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 PSNP Rarity: 33,30% (Uncommon) Party like it's 2024 The third part of the Spyro triology and thus the conclusion of the series. Having played all 3 parts, I can say that I personally liked part 2 the best. Part 3 unfortunately didn't really convince me. The levels and challenges went from pure fun to a bit too annoying - e.g. the Rhino Skateboard Challenge. In terms of trophies, it's similar to the first two parts - nothing can be missed as the levels can be repeated as often as you like. The biggest difference is that you don't need 100% completion for the platinum in this part. At first I was a little disappointed by this, but in the end it was quite good as you can skip out some annoying levels and egg challenges. All in all, it was still a fun conclusion - unfortunately not quite on the same level as the great second part. Popular Post Thrillhelm
#3564 DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing (PS5 version) Difficulty: 3/10 Time to plat: 27 hours Fun to plat: 4/10 Another kart racer in an already oversaturated market, and the fifth franchise in two years I have played. Fast & Furious Spy Racers was a slow, albeit short mess, Paw Patrol Grand Prix ....ish (?) almost plays by itself thanks to the target audience of 4 year olds, and the Smurfs Kart game was glitchy, poorly programmed and had a way too long grind. The third Dreamworks racer (after Madagascar Kartz and another PS3 entry) is as close to the class primus as it gets, even when Disney Speedstorm is free-to-play with a somewhatpredatory, pay-to-win model - here we both have competitors from different franchises across many movies, copying the Mario Kart formula as hard as it gets. However, Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing is a budget game, and it shows. What it else shows is the quality seal from Game Mill Entertainment, well-known for releasing last year's biggest stinkers, like The Walking Dead, that dreadful Kong game and let's not forget everybody's nine-teeth darling, Gollum. You have up to twenty different racers, eight of which compete in one of the five cups with four tracks each. The tracks at first seem to look nice but they are all short and repetitive, very broad tracks with little obstacles and nothing going on in the background. While you can replace parts of your kart to give it a new look, the racers stay the same. The trolls from the namesake movies appear as mascots and randomizers for the tracks, whereas Bridget and King Gristle are drivers (both are Bergen, not trolls). With a lot of new franchises such as The Bad Guys some characters do not have a comeback from the PS3, like Marty or the Penguins, but overall the roster is not too shabby. Back in the PS3 days Toothless was a driver, now he is basically Hicks cart (RIP Toothy). The game does a poor job with explaining the items, none of which are powerful or game-changing, even when there are two ways to get them, one more difficult than the other. AI has no rubber-band but will resort to unfair use of items if you are too fr ahead, often so on the final stretch before the finish line. However, the game is fairly easy, even the challenges and the time trials (wait until you get DIane Foxington or - in case of one track - Tina Templeton). But everything the game has to offer is seen within the first three hours, for the platinum you will spend most of the time grinding. You will need a lot of music notes (the game's currency) to buy everything from the shop, and you need to win ten races and a Lightning cup (game's highest difficulty) with each of the twenty racers. Add the time trials and challenges and you are in for 250 and more races. You can also collect a maximum of 15 notes per race, fortunately there is a work around for that in the guide. Its a poorly madecash grab racer with a little budget, none of it has been spent on the soundtrack or voice actors. The soundtrack is awfully cheap and resembles nothing from the movies, not a single tune. The voice actors, while some do their best to give an impression of the original voice cast, have little to work with. Most annoying is Mister Wolf from The Bad Guys who screams on top of his lungs during most of the long jumps. There is a DLC for 15 Euros, adding two new drivers. In a game where there are three rulers of a Kingdom (Julien, Gristle and Farquaard) and already a mentor type with Master Shifu, nobody needed Master Oogway as DLC characters. The other one is the Wolf from the second Puss in Boots movie and surely missed in the main game. Don't spend your money on the DLC as it only adds up to the grind (an extra hour or so). The only good reason to play this game as a trophy hunter are the great trophy icons, showing many of your favourite Dreamworks characters - the platinum is a big letdown though. A low-effort, low-budget game with little content that gets very old very fast, without the gameplay ever getting very fast.
Popular Post mega-tallica
#276 - Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged + 100% (for now) Enjoyment: 3/5 - Decent little racing game. I bought it without doing a lick of research on it so I thought it'd be more like Mario Kart with items and such but it really wasn't. Just a straightforward racing game with boost pads. Reminds me of Micro Machines, a game I remember renting way back in the N64 days. Just wish there were more variation in tracks as it does quickly become naturally repetitive like most other racing games. Just not enough variation in tracks and game modes to keep it fresh. Difficulty: 1/5 - Quick, easy peasy plat but does get grindy in the end as some of the cars you need for a trophy gets locked behind pure RNG so it's a lot of mindless refreshing of the shop hoping that the game gives you the car you're looking for and mindless spinning an RNG wheel hoping it lands on the car you need. Didn't particularly enjoy that and wish they just had challenges or something to complete to unlock those cars instead of being entirely RNG dependent. You'll probably also find yourself well short of the drift distance and podium finishes after doing everything else so you'll have to grind those out too. If you don't get fortunate with RNG, you'll probably need to grind money a little as well. Turns an 8 hour platinum into a 12 hour platinum but an easy one nonetheless.

The design is so beautiful and the world looks so detailed. I also fall in love with the story of the game. Come on guys, everyone knows Pinocchio. And you basically play him. The boss fights are pretty tough especially the final boss. Wow, this was pretty tough. You cant really overlevel yourself and there is no OP-build or OP-weapon. The only thing you can maybe trick around is with throwables. Some bosses are pretty weak to it and you can make your life a bit more esay. I would really recommend you playing this game if you like Soulslike games. Its challenging but always fair and its getting easier the more you play.

Popular Post Biscoito18
#245 - Mystic Pillars The Chosen One Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Rarity: 50.29% (PSNP) / 8.4% (PSN) #246 - Alone in the Dark Alone in the Dark Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Rarity: 15.05% (PSNP) / 1.2% (PSN) I've always heard about the influence of the "Alone in the Dark" franchise on the creation of Resident Evil and, consequently, survival horror games, but I had never actually played one of their games, just watched gameplays and read about them. I was rooting so much for this new beginning to be successful after so many mediocre releases that I even pre-ordered it, and despite having loved several aspects of the game such as the clever puzzles, the beautiful Derceto mansion and its interesting occupants lurking around the corners, the well-written (and voiced) files, amazing visuals, the great acting of the main actors and crazy endings, it's impossible to deny the serious problems that ruin part of the experience: bugs, clunky combat, simplistic and boring exploration, overstuffed plot and, worst of all, the eternal feeling that it had the potential to be so much better than that. In the end, I still enjoyed the game and I think it deserves praise for having nailed some of the most difficult aspects of creating a survival horror. #247 - Dead Island 2 Who Do You Voodoo? Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Rarity: 34.94% (PSNP) / 5.7% (PSN) DI2 is the evolution of what I liked most about the first game (my plat #23): extreme carnage in the midst of a paradisiacal setting. That simple! The campaign is fast, the characters are fun, the combat is extremely satisfying and the graphics are spectacular. I was never bored and in fact I found myself purposely delaying completing missions because I didn't want it to end. I wanted to see more so much that I bought the Haus DLC, and again, it was gorgeous. It reminded me a lot of Stefano Valentini's parts in The Evil Within 2, especially The Deeper area. FANTASTIQUE! #248 - A Short Hike Vacation Maximized Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Rarity: 66.67% (PSNP) / 26% (PSN) The lack of a map and a free camera are a bit annoying when you're after some collectibles, but overall, this is a very relaxing and creative game. NEXT: The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and a big one for the #250 milestone that I'm still not sure about. Popular Post Trancexistence
#86 - Asphalt: Injection Platinum number eighty six but so far only my second on Vita. My first one was Ridge Racer and I think I enjoyed playing that game more than this one despite the wealth of extra race types and vehicles Asphalt: Injection boasts. There are 100 different events to complete in the career mode but a lot of them are rather samey and it really does feel like a case of quantity over quality in many respects. A few of them were a tad frustrating and required multiple retries but most were fairly easy. In this career mode you are also able to acquire better, faster and more desirable vehicles as you complete events and gain more cash and star ratings. The online servers for the game are still open which is surprising for a 12 year old PlayStation Vita game. Unsurprisingly however it's a barren ghost town and boosting is absolutely essential to complete the 100 cumulative races and 100 total wins that are required for two of the trophies. Overall, not a bad little handheld racing game but also not the best example of one either. If you have a Vita and can grab a physical copy of the game (the digital version was delisted a while ago) then this is perfect for chipping away at in short bursts whilst playing longer games and there's plenty here to keep you busy. It took me over 10 months to platinum playing on and off. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Total Game Time: 30 hours

Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
354 - Sifu (PS5) When I first started playing this game I found it very hard, and I’m not usually a fan of 3D beat ‘em up or hack n slash type games so honestly I was thinking why did I start this, and am I even going to be able to finish it. I am glad I stuck with it however because it grew on me and is very rewarding once you get the hang of it. One tip I will give new players is that on the student difficulty there are actually two ways to make your age decrease. I was super worried about getting the “beat the game under age 25” trophy on my first playthrough, so I kept reverting my save and trying to beat every boss without dying so I wouldn’t age up. Once I realized there are ways to revert your age the game became far far easier since you can then use multiple health bars to beat the bosses which I was previously trying to defeat with one life. I can only imagine how hard that trophy was before they added the student difficulty, major props to anyone who completed it before then. Id recommend this game, even if you’re like me and usually don’t enjoy these types of games. It’s quite fun and has a good story, good music, and great art style. I can fully understand all the praise it received. I won’t spoil anything but to me the game feels like there will be a sequel, and I honestly hope there is. Great game all around. Popular Post Mr_Wright95
Platinum 185: PGA 2K23 I will start by saying that this is a very good golfing game, so if you are a fan of golfing games, this will be a no brainer. Surprisingly across my 185 Platinums at least 5-6 of them are now from golfing games, so this is clearly a genre I enjoy. With that being said the best comparison I can give for this game is PGA 2K21 so that is what I will be measuring this game against. Coming into this game I was hoping to see some improvements over 2K21 however the game did feel very much the same. Now to be fair you cannot expect them to reinvent the wheel when it comes to golf and mechanically PGA 2K21 was already excellent. The swing mechanics are the big change for this game, but truth be told I did not notice much difference. Coming into PGA 2K21 I was itching for a golf game, as the only real golfing series' I had played to that point was Hot Shots / Everybodys Golf. As such because 2K21 was a "new" experience the game was much more exciting, felt more fun and overall was a better experience. This game is in every way just as good as PGA2K21, with the exception of the fact that (for myself personally) my expectations / experience with golfing games was higher coming into this game. As such I have ranked this game just below PGA 2K21 in the "Solid & Fun Games" tier. Link to Tier List: Spoiler
Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
355 - Ms. Pac-Man The year was 1982…. Ok, I wasn’t quite alive then. I have however always had an interest in games which were before my time, and this is one of my all time favourites. ~Would make a good ring tone~ Not sure exactly why, but I’ve always preferred Ms. Pac-Man over the original. It’s a great game, timeless. I’ll probably never own an arcade machine, but if I did, I think this would be the one. I’m not afraid to admit that what would normally be a pretty difficult platinum was shamelessly made do able by some cheaty-esque save scumming on my part. It is what it is. ~ the original arcade flyer ~ Nevertheless, I’m happy to have this platinum in my shiny collection of physically non existent digital trinkets, which only I know or care about. In fact, I seem to be in a Pac-Man mood, so maybe I’ll try to do the original as well.
