Popular Post StraightVege
What a Nightmare! #287 And what a recovery by Frozenbyte! Following the big letdown that was Artifacts of Power comes Trine 4, a highly polished and complete adventure that effectively leaves series flaws behind, while simultaneously coalescing every good aspect of the previous three games. Our trio of enchanted heroes are now more powerful than ever, yet also carefully balanced, making them all feel almost equally useful. In past titles, I usually played the wizard, because he offered the most utility by far, but I found myself switching characters frequently this time around. I only wish they unlocked new abilities at a faster rate, since the game is essentially over by the time you get to utilize the coolest skills. Still, it's a huge step up from the weak characters of Trine 3. As always, the main focus of the game is "how do I get from point A to point B" puzzles, and these are the most clever, varied, and mechanically sound in the franchise, but remain open-ended enough to solve in a number of ways. Rarely did I notice any of the squirrelly physics seen in prior entries, which is fantastic. Experience bottles also make a return, and are typically reasonable to locate on one's own, a fact I greatly appreciate—no need to sit through lengthy, boring video guides. They're often gated behind tricky puzzles, too, that are quite fun to solve. If every game implemented collectibles this well, I might not dislike them so much. The Nightmare Prince is stunningly gorgeous and just feels wonderful to play. Frozenbyte are probably sick to death of making Trine games by now, but I really hope I get the opportunity to journey with Amadeus, Zoya, and Pontius again someday. If not, way to finish strong! Popular Post slender_adrian
#96 Difficulty: 3/10 100% Completion: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Grind: 0/10 Rarity: [Ultra Rare 1.1% / Rare 10.13%] "It always starts with a lighthouse." Ahhh Columbia what a wonderful place, I remember when I first played this game back in 2013 and DIDN'T UNDERSTAND A THING HAHA! Over the years Bioshock Infinite has become one of my favorite shooters, love everything of this game. After these many years I still get impressed by Bioshock Infinite, that story, the characters and of course how beautiful Columbia looks. Love everything about this game! Getting the plat was fun as hell, I got all of the trophies on my first run except for 2 but they were easily done with chapter select, and my 1999 mode run went surprisingly good, I remembered it been harder back on the PS3 haha but this time was a breeze. Extremely easy plat thankfully there's a lot to be done so there's Bioshock Infinite for a little longer hehe, going to do the DLCs right away! Can't believe this collection is done, by far Bioshock Infinite had the best performance on the PS4, Bio 1 & 2 crashed quite often especially Bio 1, and there's that stupid save lock this collection has, despite that I enjoyed coming back to the games I grew up with. Edit after 100%: 81 trophies done! This is by far the game with the most trophies I've completed it. And there they are my last trophies for Bioshock Infinite. Doing Clash In The Clouds was fun and challenging enough, the wave mode was very cool but that's it, doing the rest of the trophies was a tedious task, except for one. So I was playing normally getting some trophies when I went to the museum to get the last trophy before going for the Blue Ribbon Champ trophy (hardest trophy in the game imo) when suddenly after getting Museum Curator, Blue Ribbon Champ popped, saving my ass for the tedious grind! This time the trophy was glitched for good! I guess it was the Lutece blessing hahaha. It was incredible coming back to this franchise, I will always love Bioshock! Popular Post Valzentia
#46 - Among Us (PS4) Difficulty: 3/10 Fun: 8/10 when the platinum is sus ? In all seriousness, i've been meaning to get this one done for months now. The grind creates extreme burnout, but it's doable. The free-play glitch fortunately hasn't been patched out yet, which helped tremendously with the impostor trophies. Glad I can lay it to rest for now.

Popular Post GravityQueeen
Hey there! My most recent platinums were very enjoyable and only good games, starting with Plat # 136: Shantae and the Seven Sirens (ps5) The Shantae series is one of my all time favorites, and with the latest entry it was no exception, and that is why I made this game my 100th platinum one year ago. But, by playing the game again, twice on the ps4 to get the free DLC trophies and twice on ps5 to amass the 100%, I started loving it way more than I did back then! I love, for example, that this time the TRANSFORM!ation is done by simple inputs, like the squid transformation that is basically a double-jump, or the drill form activated by pressing down on sand surfaces. What about the boss battles? Amazing! And they got tougher than when the game was first launched by the way, sweet. Trophy-wise this Shantae is no different, requiring speedruns at any % and at 100%, a couple miscelaneous ones and one trophy for collecting all monster cards, which is the most noticeable incrementation, what adds some variety and playstyle. The writing here is superb as always, the game is reaaaaaaly charming. Love you, Shantae! Plat # 137: Everybody's Golf Damn! I don't even know how to begin with or how to express how I adored this one. I bought it in 2019, it was my birthday, me and my wife were at the shopping mall and the game was only 20 bucks here in Brazil, where the games range from 100 to 250 mostly, basically a steal. I bought it without even knowing golf rules, let alone terms like par, birdie, eagle and so on. During these years that the game rested in my shelf, I always had it in mind but always postponing it. Here and there my dear friend and golf enthusiast @OJ9999vr would ask me when would I play it, and I finally started it due to the upcoming server shutdown. It took me a month and about 150 hours of play. It was the kind of game that stuck with me and everything I did was especial. I wish the servers would stay for longer because there is a solid community built around the game. I love sports games when they are cartoonish and cute like this one. And hard and huge like this one! Here goes my platinum video: Plat # 138: Tomb Raider (ps3) I have skipped the ps3 era but I am having a blast with my ps3 everytime I turn it on. It was the third time I got the platinum in the Tomb Raider reboot, but first time getting it on ps3. I did the multiplayer in january and got the campaign trophies recently. I think Tomb Raider is special to me because it was the franchise my mother was always playing when we had the ps1 in early 2000's and ps2 after that. I inherited Lara from her ? And plat # 139: Jump Force Another game whose announced shutdown worried me, Jump Force was a weird experience. At first I liked, even being a 3D fighting game which is something I avoided at all costs in my life, but then the campaign was extremely boring, I even skipped dialogue and cutscenes (it is a crime, dude!) but I guess it isn't here, then there was a difficulty spike in the story mode and I hated it, only to understand things better and like it a little more. Once done with the online and story, there were the free missions, where most of the platinum journey consists of. Tons of missions to do and plenty of S ranks to acquire, what isn't particularly hard until you reach very hard difficulty. That was when I felt burned out, but I sticked to the trophy guide here and boom!, platinum achieved, right when it was becoming a real chore to me. I think I should have approached the game like wanting to play a good fighting game (the game is good) or like an anime fan or whatever. Not like a rushed and non-skilled trophy hunter as I did. But in the end I really ended up liking it. And my custom character was inspired by Shantae! Edited June 16, 2022 by GravityQueeen

Popular Post MarcusPunisher
Platinum # 168 - Dragon Ball FighterZ 2.89% - Ultra Rare Another fighting game checked and honestly one of the most impressive I have seen in quite time. It is so amazing how well the art style translated to the fighting genre and how well implemented is it that it complements the show. The gameplay is also really accessible that it is easy to get in, but also equally rewarding once you get the hang of it and learn new tactics to progress further. So many characters are presented here from the show, and each have their distinct qualities in their playstyles, my personal favorite Vegito, Android 21, Broly, and Goku Black. The way you can execute moves and how it looks is so stylish and satisfying that even spectators can enjoy how cool it looks. I haven't tried all the DLC characters unfortunately, but I'm hoping to do so further down the line. Some negatives. Some progress and unlockables could be implemented. This is more of a personal thing as I like to unlock the further I progress and I have seen other fighting games do this. The story is very forgettable and really messy, but that's the nature of Dragon Ball storytelling in a nutshell lol. I will say however that the first half of the 3rd act dragged on so much while playing as only two characters that it was almost painful to go further. The online experience was good, but the matchmaking was really lacking and when I actively decline an opponent, I surely don't need to match with that same opponent three times in a row when I already declined. The road to platinum is pretty simple on paper, but it requires a lot of grinding like almost any fighting game. I had to force some favorable glitches to get money in order to raise over 20 million Yen and pull some strings to speed up the ranking process in online fighting. Other trophies were thankfully simplier and with the nature of how the gameplay is implemented, it is not hard to obtain some of the challenges in missions that is required for majority of the characters. With that said, this is easily one of the best, if not the best Dragon Ball game out there. I know Budokai series and Goku's journey are up there as well, but this one definitely earns the spot. If there is gonna be a possible sequel for this, I will gladly purchase it if the quality is gonna be anywhere near to this one. Just make it less grindy with the money requirement. In a meantime, lets give Yamcha his revenge and kill Nappa instead on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.

Popular Post Cauvuh_Lakrwa
God of War (2018) Had some issues learning the combat system since it was my first GoW game but after I got the hang of it I enjoyed it very much. Loved the story and the character development, especially the inner battle of Kratos between a Spartan upbringing for his son and seeing it is not the way (and Atreus' part in this development).

Popular Post Trancexistence
#4 - Hitman Go #5 - Lara Croft Go I enjoyed this pair of turn based puzzle games based on Square Enix game protagonists Agent 47 and Lara Croft. Both games play in exactly the same way but Lara Croft expands on the singular levels from Hitman with multi-stage ones. I enjoyed Hitman more despite it being the more basic of the two. It looked and felt more stylish to me. Enjoyment: Hitman 8/10, Lara Croft 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 for both.

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #125 - Judgment [PS5] The Greatest Detective - Obtained all other trophies. 6,600 Owners - 438 Achievers for a percentage of 6.64% (average completion; 21.88%) Enjoyment; 9/10 Difficulty; 8/10 Trophies; 8/10 (challenging but mostly fair list, icons are a downgrade) PRESS S TO SPIT ON CLIMAX BATTLES; 10/10 Lookie here, it's me again with another Yakuza game Yakuza-styled game! Yes, indeed, it's the PS5 "remaster" of Judgment, which has kindly borrowed the traditional brawling combat from the main series as it pivoted towards JRPG gameplay. I never did play the PS4 version of Judgment, instead copping a copy of the PS5 version when it was released not too long ago. Powered by the Dragon Engine, which has been further refined from its debut in Yakuza 6, Judgment is an absolutely gorgeous game that is ultimately held back by two things; being tied to Kamurocho only with no second sandbox map in sight, and some poorly thought-out gameplay systems that justify its billing as a detective game. Originally released in Japan in 2018, in the West in 2019, and remastered worldwide in April 2021, Judgment puts you in the way-too-tight jeans of Takayuki Yagami, a former-lawyer-turned-private-detective who runs a little P.I. office just down the road from Ebisu Pawn in Kamurocho, a fictionalized take on Tokyo's red light district of Kabukicho that has featured in every single Yakuza game (save for Kenzan! and Ishin!), and is now re-used in Judgment (and later returned in the sequel, Lost Judgment). Having given up courtroom battles following a tragic case a few years prior, Yagami takes on odd jobs for people that needs his help alongside pal Kaito, a former Yakuza. When bodies start turning up with their eyes gouged out, Yagami is drawn into a sinister conspiracy that isn't quite battleship-sized this time around, but still hardly lacks grandeur. While the whole detective angle is a fun diversion from the usual Yakuza shenanigans, it also really breaks the flow of the game at the most inopportune of times. A tailing mechanic has been introduced that sees you follow persons of interest around the city, all the while avoiding detection, but these sections are as repetitive and unengaging as they are plentiful, and often serve to frustrate more thn they entertain. Additionally, the storyline is laced with side-cases that you have to work through before picking up the main plot again, which again manifest as unwelcome distractions more often than not. At least the first person investigation segments and interrogations were good fun, but on the whole, it felt like the studio was too pre-occupied with trying to justify its new theme of investigation to stop and wonder whether the inclusion of these types of gameplay would actually improve the game. My other gripe with the game lies with its map; Kamurocho is back and better than ever with shortcuts, a fancy new look, and loads of shops to enter and interact with - including a fantastic new way of engaging with NPCs through the Friends system that really serves as a different set of Substories (sorry, 'Side Cases' in Judgment) - but there is no second city to visit. For a franchise that once had no fewer than five(!) cities in a single game, and even managed to cram a second map into the first game in a brand new engine, having only Kamurocho to play in for Judgment really did feel like a raw deal. Much like how Yakuza 4 felt back in the day after having had the luxury of visiting Sotenbori in 2 and Ryukyu in 3. Yes, there are some new and revamped areas - as there were in 4 - but ultimately I feel the game as a whole (and perhaps the story specifically) would have benefitted from a second locale. But on the flipside, this does mean that the map that is included is jam-packed with stuff to do. Restaurants, shops, play spots, it's all there with each street and alley serving a purpose and offering an incentive to visit even after running through it a hundred times before. Lots of old and new activities are back, with the former subset including Mahjong and another set of bullshit completion metrics - much to my dismay, as it ended up taking me a good few hours to grind through the RNG to get checkmarks against them. Among the newly introduced pastimes, drone racing was the most hyped up addition and it delivers, albeit there are only five courses to race on which each have reverse versions to quickly (and cheaply) claim that there are double that amount. In the end, nothing on the completion list (re-imagined as an app called KamuroGo) was too difficult, although that is supposedly down to Puyo Puyo Tetris being replaced with OutRun. In the PS4 version, Puyo Puyo is claimed to be by far the hardest thing required for Platinum, so I was relieved to learn it had been swapped out for the remaster. The horrible Climax Battles / Ultimate Challenges, a series of gauntlets designed to frustrate that were present in the PS3 and PS4 Yakuza games released prior to Yakuza 6, were binned off, meaning that, all in all, Judgment on PS5 isn't just a very pretty experience, but a slightly more enjoyable one too - I can't believe that was even possible, given how much fun the previous Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio games were. In terms of pure difficulty, I reckon this is the second easiest game I've played from RGGS so far, ahead of Yakuza 6 and just behind Dead Souls, but I still feel confident in rating it an 8/10 given how many different minigames and gameplay mechanics you have to master; there is bound to be at least one thing that will trip you up. If it isn't a minigame, it will be a boss one-shotting you on LEGEND difficulty right as your invulnerability extract wears off. Yeah, I beat the final boss by running around until my extract cooldown period was over and facetanking his attacks, what are you gonna do about it? Despite my misgivings, Judgment on PS5 still comes highly recommended. I absolutely adore these games, hence why I can be so critical of them, but even with some glaring issues this is still one of the most entertaining modern gaming experiences you can have. Find yourself a cheap copy and get to playing, this is an excellent first title tot start with if you've never played Yakuza. Now look at my milestones!;
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #800 Final Fantasy VII Remake Milestone 800th Rare: 15.39% Difficulty: 6/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 10/10. Music: 9/10. Story Mode: 9/10. Favorite Character: Team Avalanche. Favorite Materia: Lightning, Fire, Ice, Elemental, Warding and others too. (Too much for me to say it all). Favorite Weapon: Cloud Strife's Hardedge and Limit Break Ascension. Tifa Lockhart's Metal Knuckles and Limit Break Dolphin Flurry. Aerith's Gainsborough Mythril Rod and Limit Break Planet Protection. Genre: Action, Adventure, Magic, Open World, Fantasy, Hack and Slash, Beat em up, RPG, Death and Mystery. Playtime Hours: 99 hours. Grind Difficulty: 8/10. Platinum Time: 1 month and 1 week. Story Mode: This is my very first time playing a Final Fantasy game like Final Fantasy VII Remake. My first impressions of this game was surprisingly good. I have gotten to get to know the game a bit better. I haven't actually played the original version of it in the past because I wasn't really much of a big fan of the Final Fantasy series. Back to the matter at hand, The story shows a very interesting and new graphics well-made looked. I have really enjoyed the story from start to finished. The characters newly looked to the remake version of the game looks very impressive and well-created. Midgard has it's own and rich tastiness and when I looked at the open world of it all and other sector places. It has a really nice touched and new feeling to it and yes it is superb and can't argued or complained about it. Though it would of been nice if Cloud and Zack had a bit more flashbacks in the remake version and this would of been sold a lot of copies like hotcakes. But other then that, it still turned out very good nonetheless. Weapon Upgrades/Materia/Sephiroth Crescent: At first I didn't know how to upgrade my weapons nor upgrading materias at all. I had a good feeling and known how to do these types of upgrades and utilize them both down completely. I pretty much exhausted and eating them up on all of them. Cloud's weapon call: Hardedge. Now that save me from the all fuck-up situations from start to finished and managed to defeated all bosses including Sephiroth Crescent. I used my newly level 2 limit break call: Ascension. That truly helped me saved the day and exactly what I wanted in the end. Tifa's Dolphin Flurry was excellent and made a nice combo massive attack damage on Sephiroth Crescent on the final phase and saved both the limit breaks for Cloud and Tifa as well. Aerith's Planet Protection level 2 limit break is a truly must. It helped me and the other team to be protected all physical attacks but not magic. That gave me enough time to build my limit breaks for Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart. That certainly made my day a lot better as it is. Platinum Trophy! Spoiler Ultimate Weapon Trophy! Spoiler Dressed to the Nines Trophy! Spoiler I am very satisfied that I got this platinum out of the way and now I am happy. Now then, I have already begun my 850th platinum milestone before this whole shit even begun. Highly and strongly recommend this game. Next 850th Platinum Milestone: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Popular Post EverythingOnFire
Platinum #39 Terminator: Resistance Enhanced Playtime: 15-16 hours (all side quests & conversations completed) Difficulty: 2.5/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Awesome game that really nails the look & atmosphere of the devastated future world of the Terminator series. Gunplay & exploring is quite fun, and most of the conversations & voice-acting are great. I understand that these types of games aren't for everyone, and that in some ways Terminator Resistance feels like a bit of a throwback, but I'm still surprised at how low this scored amongst professional critics. It's not a 5-6 out of 10 game. It just isn't, and I think that generally speaking the consumer reviews for this one are much more sensible. Not every game has to be saying something important, nor do they have to constantly be reinventing the wheel. Sometimes we just need some mindless & familiar fun. I'm very much hoping for a sequel.
