Popular Post PotrikBerger
Atomic Heart (PS5) Anticpation - 4/5 One of the very few games I was aware of, and looking forward to, many years before it was released. This is an unusual occurrence for me, not sure why this one in particular lodged itself in my brain but I was definitely looking forward to when it finally released. Enjoyment - 2/5 I have to take into account how bugged the trophies were at release. For something that I picked up on day one, it was over two months after I bought it that I finally felt safe to start it. This aside, once I did start the game I found it very hard to ‘get into’ it. Coming straight off of dead island 2 I kind of had a melee attack playstyle ingrained in me and the melee combat in this, certainly early on, is truly awful. One dodge and you leap so far away you can no longer see your enemy. Wasn’t impressed. it wasn’t until over halfway through the game that I can say that I was enjoying it. But once I did start becoming a bit more immersed, I have to admit, I had a great time. It was just a pity I only had a few hours of gameplay left ahead of me. No trophies bugged out on me (a couple glitched in a positive way though) and the game never crashed. I did have to turn it off a few times though just because my character would get stuck on a bit of rock, or behind a door....or once even just walking down down a roadside kerb. However, the music in the game is great, the enemies although not vast by any means, are interesting at least and I did like how the game and levels were structured. Retropsect - 3/5 I think without the disappointment of the large build up and then the mess it was on release, I may have been more open to the game early on in my playthrough. I certainly wouldn’t have played dead island 2 straight before it if I’d been able to play from day one, so maybe I would have played it as a shooter right from the start and not been so upset at how shitty the melee gameplay was. Who knows? Either way, I think someone coming new into this game now, with all the patches etc, I think it’s a good, solid game that’ll be mostly enjoyed. Nothing great, you can’t really tell where all those years in development went, but it’s not a stinker either. Above average....give it a shot if your bored one weekend in the future. Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #74 Sly 2: Band of Thieves Unlikely BanditUnlock all Sly Cooper and the Band of Thieves Trophies Fun: 6/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 20 hours and 48 minutes I loved Sly 1, the gameplay was fun, the bosses were great and the platforming was fantastic so I was really looking forward to playing Sly 2, after many months I finally decided to play Sly 2 and it had a lot of things I really liked but also a whole list that just frustrated the hell out of me. But I wanted to get through it just because I wanted to be able to say that I did it. I will try to be more positive then negative, but I can't promise, let's start with the positives: + It's still very charming. + It sets up the game really well. + Music is still very good. + I love that the area's are big and open, it was fun to explore the chapters. + I like that all 3 characters are important to the story, there were times that I forgot that the other two exists, now I'll never forget who's who. + The checkpoint system was mostly forgiving. But there are the cons, I'll be honest, talking about this made me procrastonate this post: - Most of the bosses I was pretty cool with, but that final boss I absolutely can't stand. It went from being a frustrating minigame to a laughably easy final boss. So it went from frustrating to disappointing. - I thought that it was an awesome idea to play as Murray and Bentley. Murray is fun to play as, but I never want to hear him say "The Murray" for a long time. Bentley was the problem character for me, his jumps were alright, he felt super weak, his crossbow is pretty cool but he was also the most to lean towards minigames. - And that's my third big complatint. I don't mind minigames, Sly 1 had minigames, some of my favourite games have minigames. The minigames in Sly 2 though frustrated the hell out of me, be it the hacking missions, the chopper missions or most of the other minigame missions. There were some that I liked, but because of these minigames, I started to dread the next mission because I wondered what kind of nightmare minigame they would throw at me next time. I'll apologise if I've upset anyone, there is a lot to like and dislike about the game and I know that the game is beloved. So I feel kinda bad about how little I liked it compared to the first game. I'll probably play the other two Sly games one day but until that day comes I'll try to think about this as little as possible.

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#455: Trophy Collector So, this is Demon Slayer. Like a lot of anime now, it's one of those things I've seen hyped up a lot, but I dig a little deeper and left wondering if it's something carried by its animation. That seems to be the case here too. Going just from what the game gave me, from the plot to character motivation to personalities all seems really basic shounen; nothing about it really stands out at all. Granted, the animation is really good, and fight scenes are a lot of fun to watch, but the how's and why's I completely forget about as soon as the scene is done. Thankfully as a game, it is a step in the right direction from their prior works. It feels like they took ultimate Ninja storms gameplay, (which I do like by the way) and trimmed a lot of the fat, tweaking it to where it's something you have to actively practice rather than just knowing the correct timing on singular button presses. It is definitely a lot less annoying thanks to the inability to spam dodges, and I feel that's a really good direction to take anime fighters. In terms of content though, there is something here, but being the first in a series (I'm sure) it seems lacking. A lot of the moves' animations seem pretty interchangeable between characters, with a good three or four having nearly identical special attacks. It's definitely a roster that had to be padded out at this moment. Still, I actually hope they stick with this one entry and keep adding DLC. Seeing as to how the story is over, I'm sure if they wanted to they can pack the entire series into one game. But then again, if a sequel they feel is going to make them bucks, I'm sure they'll do that instead.

Popular Post LastMinuteSavior
Exemplary Service Unlock all trophies in Pursuit Force. I remember buying this two times back in the day to gift it to family members, but I don't think I had actually ever played it. Turns out it's the kind of thing I would have really liked (and still did). Lots of over-the-top action with fast cars, shootouts, slow-motion acrobatics, and lots of cheasy dialogue. Dumb fun.
Popular Post RadiantFlamberge
Cannon Dancer Osman (PS5) #28 Cannon Dancer Collect all other trophies Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Time: 3/10 Known as Cannon Dancer in Japan, Osman is the true spiritual successor to Strider. It's by the same director Isuke who also worked on Moon Diver for PS3. Instead of carrying a sword, Kirin uses kick-based martial arts techniques and grappling (Lerdrit?). Attacks can be leveled up in power and range, but being hit will level you down. Three fatal attacks (supers) are available per life. To truly appreciate these, try one on a boss and see how much damage it does. Two FAs will leave a boss nearly dead or even kill them outright. Use FAs carefully, since there are no items to replenish them on the current life. Jumping at an enemy and hitting the jump button when close makes Kirin perform an air throw on them. Holding down while doing this will change it to a suplex. Landing a suplex on certain enemies and bosses makes up a lot of the trophy list. The challenge level is high, but there are no checkpoints until later in the game. Apparently, Osman is intended for a truly amazing player who can 1 credit clear Strider in their sleep. That said, an expert on the arcade version could take the plat in 20 minutes or less. It requires reaching the end of the game, but you won't need a 1CC. For clearing it you get the cleverly named "Move Over, Hiryu!" trophy.

Popular Post kkulifay
The Dark Soul (Platinum) My first FromSoftware platinum! Wow, what a masterpiece of a game! The lore, the memorable boss battles, the friendly co-op environment, and the map designs truly made this the ultimate gateway drug to other souls-like games. Huge thanks to those who contributed on my post below: Strongly recommend! With a little help from a friend who was willing to drop some rings and a save scum towards the end of the story for two alternative endings, and I was able to get the plat in just two play throughs. Since I’m a noob in this genre, I went with a tank knight built that was heavy in strength and dexterity. The only boss that I struggled so much that I went to battle co-op with was the Nameless King. I just couldn’t find my bearings in the second round. The only annoying part was grinding the covenant items. Thank goodness most of them can be boosted with a partner online, but the proof of concord covenant item took me a lot of grinding offline. 400 item discovery helped, but took a couple hours or more of farming the two silver knights over and over and over again. Damn rng tasks! Next goal- Resident Evil 2 (PS5) 100%. I already have the plat, just need to complete “Hell of a Sheriff” DLC trophy. Next Plat- God of War (2018) and Walking Dead Telltale Series. Both are so damn good so far! Edited May 19, 2023 by kkulifay
Popular Post Azemya
A Tale of Origins and EndingsAcquired all trophies. Got the plat a few hours ago. So far i can say it was a fun ride. Started to work my way through the DLC's on Bahamut Difficulty and i must say, it is still not so hard to beat the Missions. Only the Bosses are somewhat entertaining now
Popular Post RaiantheMajin
I know it was a week ago, but I got the platinum trophy for Mercenary Kings on the PS Vita. I am surprised how rare the platinum trophy is. To win, I used the Bolt 45 and then the Antibody handgun. I also equipped Dual Kage mods and CQC proficiency for extra knife damage. With my loadout, I preferred being lightweight for easier movement and jumping across gaps. Mercenary Kings feels right at home with the PS Vita and I am also currently playing Virtual-On. The PS Vita has quite the video game library.
Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
134 - va11-ha11-a Enjoyed this game when I had played it a while ago, I tend to enjoy all things cyberpunk and actually use to be a bartender myself so that peaked my interest as well, as it’s the only game I’ve heard of where you play as a bartender. However I was stuck on one trophy which (in my opinion) is completely out of place in this game, in which you have to complete a shoot ‘em up mini game. With the help of a great user of this very site @Nelson_ I was finally able to get this platinum today. Many thanks Nel. The first time I’ve ever got someone to help me with a trophy, but feels good to get that last trophy your stuck on for a platinum.

Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
135 - Guard Duty Charming little point and click adventure game. It’s a ratalika game sure, but honestly if you didn’t tell me I would have never known. Probably the most quality game I’ve played by them. Loved the metal gear solid references. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes point and click adventure games. Edited May 18, 2023 by Mr_Fluffy_Pants_

Popular Post GUDGER666
321. Grid Legends. Fun 3/10. Quality 3/10. Difficulty 2/10. Played and loved all the Grid games on PS3 so was looking forward to this. Enjoyment didn't last long as it's absolutely riddled with bugs and the performance on PS4 Pro is bad. Very disappointed in this. Firstly the story mode, that is just bad and completely pointless. The acting is so bad and cringe, I've seen better acting in porn. Your teammate.... What is the point? One of the bugs is one I've never seen before, the lights around the track at night are visible through everything, it's strange and really distracting. Every 3rd race is locked until you unlock stage 2 upgrades, why!? So stupid, basically do 2 races and then drive round in circles to unlock the upgrades. The brightness... Codemasters started a few years ago with F1 making the sun ridiculously bright, but on this it's like they set it to 11! They like to have a lot of races in the rain.... Not good when a lot of vehicles don't have wipers so you can't use inside views. It's like they didn't even test this game. You do all the previous events to unlock the Gauntlet... The Gauntlet ends up been just a few short easy 1 event races. The AI is dumb, they will for no reason just do handbrake turns in the middle of a race, they will also stop dead and just stay there like this. This actually made me jump when it happened. Rant over.
Popular Post Jelly Soup
#171 - Farming Simulator 17 [the platinum image is a transparent white jpeg on the default black image the PSN kit provides, so it just links a blank image here] It's....fine. Nothing amazing. Seems like grass/hay gathering should be something I can automate, like nearly every other task. Music range for the radio was nice. I looked up the OST after finishing the game, gonna add some of the tracks to my grinding playlist. But the game is otherwise nothing special. Not really good, not really bad.

Popular Post Thrillhelm
#3050 Unalive 010 What a bizarre game. I mean the trophy icons look great but also AI generated at the same time and they are by far the best looking thing in Unalive 010. For the game itself is incredibly ugly. Some may remember the times where PC gaming magazines included a CD with demo versions or cheaply made games, and Unalive 010 is on par with that quality. Its a rogue like game in which you control a clone/robot/undead through a monster-infested laboratory, upgrading your character on your way to the final boss, a vampire (you also meet a dragon and giant spiders), which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Our hero looks like straight out of the local medieval festival and is animated in a way where he moonwalks when walking backwards. Unintentionally funny. If you die, you lose all your items except what you bought with chips and blood packs - both have to be spent at machines in your starting area so you have to backtrack a lot. You can also pick up helpful drones that need their batteries reloaded every couple of seconds or they die. All that happens in a game with graphics from late 90s PC era, poorly animated, devoid of a soundtrack with stock sound effects. And for some reason its rather charming. Its bad, but not The Voices Games bad (thank God), but the gameplay works, as limited as your weapon set is. You pick up dozens of helpful items, unfortunately you need a certain one which also needs to fail to work (a 20-sided die that can ressurect you) for a trophy, so its a bit luck based. Well you'd expect an epic game like Killzone 2 with that platinum icon but its a trashy roguelike action shooter that dips in the trash b-movie genre. There are far worse games that are far less challenging, maybe not many as ugly to look at. Still, you can enjoy the dumpster fire for one to two hours to platinum.
