Popular Post yellowwindow7
Platinum / Rise of the Tomb Raider OMG! finally done with this game! guess it's time to sell it and finally to continue shadow of mordor. to be honest with you, i really liked the 2013 reboot on the ps3 more than..... demise of the tomb raider, i find the story of the 2013 reboot more enjoying than ROTTR, Yamatai mystery island was more enjoyable to explore than the Russian wilderness which we have seen this theme been used way too many time in video games already. unlike the 2013 reboot which borrow a lot from Uncharted 2 and 3, ROTTR aside from borrowing from all of the Uncharted series this time Crystal dynamics took a lot from the last of us, using a bottle to distract enemies, you can make a molotov coctail, and that whole final boss fight before the ending was ripped directly from the last of us when Ellie fight David, one of the DLC's even have zombie-ish enemies called the infected, surprisingly they're blind but can see their ways around by noises! npc's / the natives of the area you do side missions for felt like their looks been taken from the TV series Viking. the animations of climbing shooting attacking walking and moving etc. and even some of the voice acting was all been reused from the previous 2013 game.... it's just running on a better graphics and textures, even the new skills Lara learn on this adventure was in fact stuff that she have already did on the 2013 reboot, the only true new feature she will get on this adventure is... i kidding you not..... the ability to use a combat knife to cut ropes and also use it to stealth kill enemies more silently...... she can cut a wild bear thick skin with her sharp arrows but can't use them to cut ropes ? to me the only advantage this game have over the 2013 reboot is that there's no broken online multiplayer mode to block you from earning the platinum, even though there's like 12 online trophies ( without the DLC's ones ) that you only need an internet connection to unlock them because it's involved with the Leaderboard for the score attack mode, don't know about you but i really find this mode so boring! it's just a quick excuse to added a microtransaction in the game to buy some cheap repetitive card packages that you really do not 100% need to enjoy the game. the game is not all that bad though, i think they improved the shooting mechanics in ROTTR over the 2013 reboot even though it's not that huge difference, plus the game can be so much fun at the beginning but it gets kinda boring halfway through because everything will get so repetitive when you reach half way trough the game, trophies wise it's a lot much easier than the 2013 reboot, though some of the trophies can be a little annoying due to the share amount of grinds..... supposedly my 67 platinum should be Start the Party! on ps3 instead of this, but i got stuck on that game with some random luck-based trophies that might takes a while for me to finally plat it, and so i found ROTTR is a bit quick and easier to plat and so i went with it. Oh well, glad to get this one over with, especially since servers close in a few months. I can't imagine trying to do this legit (a.k.a. the way it was intended) now since there are very few players online combined with the god awful servers. The Xbox version was even worse if the player quits it resets you back to 0, not sure if this is the case with Fifa 13 on the PS3 but my god it's was annoying, I'm currently trying to do the draft on Fifa 17 and it's driving me nuts, anyone no if Fifa 16s online draft is still 300 fp or 150000 coins to enter? Also congrats I was boosting online head to head games as the servers are quite dead already but even then disconnects are frequent. And yes, if you disconnect the counter goes back to 0, which is all the more why this trophy was so annoying. It's even more relieving to get this since servers close in 3 months. MegaZeroXX
Got the platinum trophy for Final Fantasy Type-0. Such an underrated game. I really enjoyed playing it. Considering this is a remastered from a PSP game it is really worth playing. The Eidolons are cool and physical attack skills are great. I recommend playing this game for those who haven't played it. My rating for this is 9/10. Now onto Nier: Automata
Popular Post MesopithecusUK
#34. Nights of Azure Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 The story of the game and the design are pretty wonderful, however it overstays it's welcome in the post game purely from the 300 quests. The arena battles proved to be a challenge (especially Abyss) but with a lot of luck and some skill, I managed to get there. Husband was watching me play some of this and was pretty surprised with the amount of boobs and yuri - as a result I cannot wait to play Megadimension Neptunia and the Atelier games, just to expand on his game watching experience
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
Platinum #139 Her Majesty's Spiffing Well I must say I absolutely adored this game. It's very short, clocking in at about an hour (or more if you take your time) but what an enjoyable game it is. It's a very well done point & click game with an entertaining story and likeable pair of characters. Being from Wales, I especially appreciated the fact that one of them is Welsh. I can't even begin to describe how clever the humour is and there are several wink-wink nudge-nudge jokes in the dialogue. Some of it may go over your head if you don't get the references. I won't spoil any of it here. The game's clever humour even extends to the trophy icons and their names. Two in particular stand out to me:- Bring me my detonators! A reference to the Die Hard villain Hans Gruber (played by one of my favourite actors Alan Rickman) What a thrill A reference to my favourite game of all time Metal Gear Solid 3 and the scene where Big Boss is climbing THAT never ending ladder. I highly recommend this game. It's a short game and has an easily achievable Platinum trophy. It's currently in the Easter Sale on the EU store too (not sure about other regions). Give it a go!
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Timeless Adventurer And so I platted Ys again. Truth be told, I don't know how to feel about this game. On the one hand, the combat is fun (if simple), exploration is never a headache, but the story and characters are very meh to me. And from what I read, nothing is really consistent or connected in terms of narrative, and the character is one of those perpetual wanderers, which I never liked as a main protagonist. Alot of the intrigue and mystery seems lost whenever we follow these types around, and as Adol shows, they can't have any real growth and character development that sticks. This wouldn't be so bad if the game didn't try and make you care about him or his current friends. If it was something like Zelda, where Adol could be a different hero each time, that would make it a little easier to swallow.

Popular Post Makilio
#46 - Persona 4 Golden I was hoping to finish this before Persona 5 came out, but I got a little distracted farming max gear for my party and maxing Yoshitsune's stats for fun. Popular Post B1rvine
100% Complete from LittleBigPlanet 3 I have mixed feelings about this game. I love the LBP series overall. I enjoyed both the main game and some user creations. However, the game is unbelievably glitchy and is not trophy user friendly. The game constantly lags out, gives connection errors with other players, and lags while browsing the community levels. It wasn't just me. My entire boosting group had to restart the game at a minimum of two times when just trying to replay a level 4 times (once or each of us)... Why 4 times? Because only the HOST gets trophies for certain requirements. Enjoyment : 6 / 10 (Would be much higher if no bugs existed) Difficulty: 4 / 10 (Again, partly because of bugs making things unbearable, only real challenge is acing a few levels)
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#170 - Her Majesty's Spiffing Hoped for a little more to be honest. The animations are great and it runs smooth, but it's too short and thus I feel ripped off even with the sale price. The humour was a bit too dry for my liking as well. It's just mildly entertaining overall. Enjoyment: 6 Difficulty: 1
Popular Post FarSideOfSaturn
#14 - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Legend - Obtain all trophies Enjoyment - 9/10 Difficulty - 5/10 I don't even know where to begin, so I'll tell you a couple of stories instead. 1. So my objective is to eliminate a guy holed up in a heavily defended building, meanwhile there's a chopper on the way that'll be picking him up and flying him away in around ten minutes. So I throw on my sneaking suit and bring a silenced weapon with me and a pair of night vision googles, that's it. Once I'm dropped off just outside the base I find a high vantage point and begin scanning patrolling soldiers, none of them are my target so we're going in. I pick a lock in the gate, crawl around a couple of guards and search from building to building. I don't find him, and the chopper arrives. My targets giving a tour to a guest arriving on the chopper, so I find a shadowy spot in the distance and keep watch over the door. A couple of minutes later, my target appears. He's out of range so I try to get closer, only for him to speed off to the other side of the base in a truck. Then I remember he'll be leaving the base by chopper once the tour is over. So I back off to a quiet area and call for some C4 to be dropped to my position. So, C4 in hand I sneak my way over to the chopper's landing zone and stick some on the ground. Then I retreat and wait for the chopper to land again so my target to get on board ...you can figure out the rest right? 2. That got me an A rank. This time round, I need an S rank. On the prep screen I'm wondering what's the fastest way to get to him? Suit up in battle dress and run for it? Nah. Sneak back in but do it faster? Nah. Instead, since I know which building he's in and what he looks like now I perch myself about 200m away on a hill. Pop some pills to keep my hands steady, then take aim with my sniper rifle...again, you know the rest And that's The Phantom Pain. Maybe we didn't get answers to the questions we had, but we did get a game that challenges us to strategize, adapt and improvise unlike anything else in the series and one hell of a feeling of accomplishment time after time when even our most ridiculous plans pay off. The Phantom Pain's one hell of a long ride if you're going for the platinum, but it's one hell of a ride. Popular Post Omelette Paradise
Platinum #140 Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek My 2nd Platinum in as many days and my 17th of this year overall. This is another enjoyable point & click game from Artifex Mundi who have brought a number of their games to PS4 recently. If you've played their other games then you'll know what to expect here. The game's puzzles are made up of hidden object scenes as well as mini-game type puzzles. I would rank this one ahead of Clockwork Tales and Nightmares From The Deep. I found this one more enjoyable. I did enjoy those two games though I'm just waiting for a price drop on their other games Grim Legends and Nightmares From The Deep 2 now. I'm looking forward to the next Enigmatis game also!

Strider-Falcon
Strike Vector EX Ace of Aces Unlock all Trophies. A surprisingly fun game. Reminded me a bit of Zone of Ender but without the mechs. A fairly easy game to get platinum with a few difficult parts in campaign mode. One big bonus is that all online trophies can be earn on your own as the computer fill the other players' spaces with bots. Online can a bit boring though, so be prepared listen to music or surf the web on your phone. Difficulty rating for the platinum is I think for the average player is 5 to 6. Good fun if you are into these types of games.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Rogue Galaxy A True Star King Unlock all trophies Yes...a perfect skeleton's ass, if you look closely. Phew, what a long game that was, with ~100 hours of pure JRPG heaven/hell. That Plat image was worth it, though Rogue Galaxy was, for me, both a joy and a pain in the bottom at the same time. Laughing on the outside, crying in the inside. There was nothing overly hard in it, but the enemies were a bit too often a bit too overpowered. Constant difficulty spikes are a sin, folks! Even with max stats and gear my party could bite the dust in seconds. It didn't help that you couldn't raise your defense and your AI friends were morons So, that's where my mad skillz came into play. No smashing attack buttons, but using tactically abilities and buffs. Shop smart, shop S-Mart! Lots and lots of side quests and grinding RG has. Insectron tournaments, building Factory items, building weapons, building levels... And what would a great RPG be without a post-game, 100 floors randomly generated, dungeon? *sigh*, that walking made my feet hurt BUT, do not drive to despair! Redeeming qualities are coming, and there's plenty to choose from! The story is quite catchy. Granted, it's a rip-off from the Star Wars lore, but despite that/because of it you kinda root for our ragtag pirates. Music is averaging at "a-okay", with highlights in the starting menu and during cutesy cel-shaded cutscenes. Controls work fine, except there's a small lag at times when my fingers work faster than the game allows me to. 2 Fast 2 Furious, like a Rock! Despite being grindy and long as hell, I did enjoy crafting newer, better weapons for my team. Insectron "Cup" was a cool change of pace as well. With all that nonsense said and done, I do recommend Rogue Galaxy to all JRPG devourers. PS2 games ain't retro yet, but why wait any longer Edited April 7, 2017 by Ala-Arska
