Popular Post madbuk
#376 - Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Fighting games really aren't a genre I'm well versed in, but the Ninja Storm 1-4 bundle was available at a very good price, and I hadn't played a fighting game for years, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I've also never seen Naruto, but not seeing the show hasn't stopped me from enjoying One Piece and Spongebob games so I figured I'd be okay, especially as this only recaps the events of the anime anyway. I like the variety on offer here. It's not just pure fighting all the time, you have tree running and branch hopping stages and an open world to roam around and collect items in after every mission. The open world did get a little tedious by the end and I stopped going around collecting everything that spawned, but I enjoyed it for most of the time I spent playing at least. The story really didn't do a good job at presenting itself to series newcomers. Characters just appear out of nowhere with no real introduction and the only context you get is a short paragraph or two during a load screen. I really couldn't tell you what happens in the story of this other than some very vague concepts and the ending. I won't be jumping into Ninja Storm 2 anytime soon, probably not for months, but I'm interested to see how this series evolves over time. I hear they remove the open world which is very disappointing, I hope they still keep the mission variety that this one had at least.
Popular Post Bluefalcon2210
#44- The Last of Us Remastered So after about 4 years and so many months I've finally done it, I decided to get the Plat around the time part 2 was coming out so I've been playing both at the same time (not finished Part 2 yet) but wow this game just blows me away every time and I've played it about 4 times or something, just everything about the game is fantastic from the writing to the gameplay just everything. I've been thinking a lot about the upcoming HBO show recently and I'm so hyped for that it's unreal and this Plat journey wasn't for nothing and I would gladly experience this game all over again. Popular Post Ala-Arska
Blood Bowl 2 Blood Bowl expert You have won all the trophies Out of 11, only 4 Lizards were left. My Dwarves hit hard! American football meets Warhammer meets violence. Nice to...meat you! It's also turn-based. All this puts me way out of my comfort zone, besides all the gory and neck snapping stuff. That, I like I pretty much loved this game the moment I played it. Fantasy characters hitting each other just seemed right for me. Humans, orcs, ghouls, werewolves, chaos creatures, goblins, zombies, amazons, norse viking folk, circus people, and more! Each team has its ups and downs (well, Halflings only have downs, they're pure cannon fodder!). My choice was the tank-like Dwarves All the running, ball catching, punching and kicking actions are based on rolls of dices. Which made every match a huge game of chance. Usually I got way worse rolls than the enemy AI. Or it just felt that way. Getting all 6's and 8's is so 90's anyway Controls are responsive, if you're not too hasty with button pressing. Don't be, otherwise you'll end up getting stumped by a Treeman! Visuals are crisp and show quite good detail in enemy movements and behavior. Music gets repetitive fast, but sound effects (especially bone crunches!) and crowd noises are excellent. Commentators Jim (vampire) and Bob (ogre) are the best. They offer humorous insights, and even some twists along the campaign! Besides the main campaign, there are numerous ways to play in either solo or online leagues. I went Solo, always stroking my own Wookie Some minor graphical and sound glitches occur here and there. Even a crash or two happened, but with constant manual saves it's no biggie. Getting all the trophies is basically doing the campaign (in which I lost A LOT) and grinding matches for coach lv 20 in Leagues. Some of the luck based and grindy ones can be gotten faster in simulations and boosting, given that one has the Legendary Edition of the game. I also managed to be 1st in the Fastest Achievers list. I must say I'm pleased and happy about it, as long as that lasts Blood Bowl 2 is addictive, "just one more round and game and competition and it's 3 a.m." -type of title. Popular Post Darghel
#77 Fait Accompli (Jak 3...and yes they all use the same platinum icon) Difficulty: MUCH less frustrating...and very fun too! (Orb Glitch used) Time to Complete: About 12 hours Recommended: Yes Total Score: 7/10 Before saying anything, I wanted to say that I did use the Orb Glitch here again, however this time I had an unfortunate bug where at one point my game stopped counting the orbs and I was doing a few challenges before I noticed that happening, and since I didn't have back up saves at that moment and the challenges can't be taken again after completing I only the choice to restart or glitch again...oh well good thing I didn't do the shooting range challenges yet! And that's kinda sad because this time I legitimately enjoyed the game and its challenges: the main story is FAR less frustrating and because of the better checkpoints it only took me 9 hours to beat (it still had some bad checkpoints here and there, but nothing like Jak II). On top of that, the game has more way to help you by letting you heal your hitpoints (which I also don't understand: why giving me 12 hit points but ALL enemies in the game hit for 2? Why not give me 6 hit points then?!), have more weapons variety (from 4 in Jak II to 12 in Jak 3!), better driving with the sand buggy (BETTER but still crappy). In all honesty this was a FAR better game than 2, hands down, as I didn't wanna throw my controller away in rage and I did also enjoy the story and characters a little more! While the game was short, I spent a good amount of time doing challenges (I had about 250 orbs before the bug occurred), and frankly, they're so much better too as they rely more on using tricks and other shortcuts to reach the end of the challenge rather than rushing to the end. If anything my biggest gripe with the challenges was their length: some can take far too long and failing means restarting at least 1 or 2 minutes all the time, in particular, I took a LOT to get the Daxter Missile challenge right and the jetboard challenge. This game was definitely better than 2 (although I still think 1 is the best) and I guess I do regret not purchasing it back in those days...or maybe not, since I love Sly Raccoon/Sly Cooper much more! Even if their games are open they're still platforms to their core, and some of the best in my opinion! Anyway, if you're after the trophies I recommend using the glitch as there are 600 of them and it will take ages! I recommend gathering some on your own before attempting to do this glitch: took me only 2 hours total from starting at halfway and some challenges even give you more than 3 orbs! And remember to make multiple save files or you risk ending up like me! Edited July 3, 2020 by Darghel
Popular Post Phlegeth
#38 Neptune's Spatula Get all the other trophies for this game. I never played the original back on Gamecube, so this was pretty nice. I heard a lot of good things. All the boards were great, except for Spongebob's Dream. Hated that board. The first jumps were just there to waste your time. And I couldn't grab the Follow the Bouncing Ball spatula. Although I did grab it. It registered on the level select screen, but it didn't count overall and didn't do the animation. So I spent a good while trying to grab it again to make sure. Anyway, the rest of the game was fun. I loved the final boss. What's this? Two platties in three days, what am I, one of them challenge finders?
Popular Post EIdain
Platinum #50 - The Last of Us Part IIEvery Last One of Them It's difficult for me to summarise how I feel about a game that delivers some of my favourite moments in any video game and does so many things so well, but ultimately fails at sticking the landing on the one key thing it needed to. Probably the best thing I can say about it is that I've long felt Naughty Dog's game's have been carried by their narrative, gameplay is often a little bland particularly in the Uncharted franchise. That's not the case here. Gameplay evolutions like being able to go prone add a nice amount of depth to combat and world traversal. Each weapon feels like it fills a purpose, as well as feeling unique. Each enemy faction feels distinct and provides their own combat challenges to overcome. Sound design is fantastic, from each NPC having their own name, to the way one enemy faction communicates, to the sound of knife scraping bone during combat. It all makes for an incredibly immersive experience. Music being interwoven into the narrative really helps pull on the emotional strings. And the soundtrack helps really intensify situations as well as provide moments of reflection when needed. I can't really talk about the negative without spoiling so I'll tag the rest. Spoiler If the games message was to convey that revenge and retaliation are destructive forces that tear apart lives it succeeds to some extent, however if it was to make me emphasise with Abby it completely fails for me for a number of reasons. It doesn't even to a great job of making me dislike Ellie. I wish I liked Abby half as much as Ellie, or even Lev. I don't think I've hated a section of a video game more than being forced to fight Ellie, using nearly identical mechanics to the fight against David from 7 years prior. The game also suffers from really poor pacing, you feel like you're working towards a resumption at the half-way point. But because of the story choices taken you're reset back to the beginning again. Not just from a narrative standpoint, but also from a gameplay standpoint as you have to unlock new weapons and abilities all over again for a fresh character. Enjoyment: 7/10 - The high points are phenomenal. The low's are at best ballsy, and at worst infuriating.Difficulty: 1/10Playtime: I spent roughly 50 hours on this, but I was definitely taking my time. It can be done a lot faster, especially if you're following a guide. Popular Post Spinosaurus Rex
PLATINUM #150 - THE SIMS 4 Difficulty: 2/10 | Platinum enjoyment: 8/10 | Game enjoyment: 9/10 | Plat tier: VERY RARE Somebody may wonder why I put such a casual title in milestone place. The answer is simple - I'm a diehard fan of The Sims 1, playing s**t out of first game in my childhood when I didn't even know what I'm doing. The Sims 4 was my second main game from The Sims franchise however, so my opinion may be far from ideal. There's a lot of mixed opinion about the game, but I cannot relate to them mostly except controls, which are frustrating at times because it's not a game designed for console initially, and terrible loading times (even in-game, it takes a few second to open your damn inventory). But gameplay was amazing like it was in first title. Although I had a good several years long break between TS1 and TS4, I immediately knew TS4 is the game I'll spend few next months after a few hours spent. Yes, I was even aware of Gallery which is practically a legal savestate download zone, but I still decided to unlock 98% of trophies in fair way (2% is the bronze infamous "Triple play" trophy, but looking back, I still would love to have a reason to play the game more, so I kinda regret I unlocked it with Gallery help). Not only that, but I decided to do every trophy one by one, in most relaxing way (made one Sim who learned every possible skill and reached max level in every relevant career track instead of playing 8 Sims at one time... Then he has been devoured by cowplant. Poor guy. Playing as one Sim started to become boring after some time though, so I had to give him a company and then one Sim went to work, and 7 Sims was rocking the house). I'd not be surprised if my playtime exceeded 200 hours, even if platinum is doable in 30 hours, fair way with good management. This is how I loved this game and how I want to play it as long as possible. Unfortunately, EA is known for their greed, and they don't offer DLC for cheap. If I could get some kind of Season Pass for full price of the game ($60), I'd go for it. For now, getting all DLC without discount costs about $600 bought separately. So no, thanks. Good job EA, you lost a potential customer. And thank God EA don't see trophy hunters as potential cash cow(plant)s and haven't put any trophies locked behind DLC content.

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #114 - Tearaway Perfectionist, 22.12% Rarity Difficulty - 4.5/10, Time Spent - ~15 Hours , Enjoyment 7.5/10 Tearaway tells the story of either Iota or Atoi (you get to pick which one you play) attempting to deliver a message to the You that has suddenly appeared watching over the land from the sun. The papercraft character will battle scraps, make friends with squirrels, talk to trees, and ride pigs in this grand adventure. The first thing you must know about Tearaway is that it makes use of every single gimmick the Vita has to offer. It uses the touch screen to have you manipulate the scenery; it uses the back touchpad to allow you to "push through" into the game world to manipulate the level or kill some enermies, it also uses the back touchpad to allow you to "bounce" on certain parts of the ground; it utilizes the gyro very late in the game to have you tilt platforms back and forth; it regularly utilizes the front and the back cameras as the You is literally you, the player, and your face will regularly appeare in the sun from captured images; it uses the microphones to record sounds that will play randomly in some levels... I think that's all (could quite very well be forgetting some mechanic as there are a lot of neat things going on). And the great thing about the use of these mechanics is that they're all done fairly well. The only thing I might complain about is the back touchpad mechanics... not sure if my touchpad is just super scratched up or what, but the game didn't register some of the movements as well as I would have liked. The style of the game is also very fun. Everything looks like it's made out of paper, and there's actually a collectible in the game (papercrafts) that you can upload to the website www.tearaway.me to be able to origami them into various objects. Quite fun! Speaking of collectibles, that's a big bulk of the trophies. There's several different types: scraps (the enemies in the game-- you have to defeat each one), presents (collectibles which take you off the main path to find), things to do (very easy side quests), papercrafts (things you have to take pictures of), and confetti (basically little waymarkers that line the main path). None of these collectibles are too difficult to find... you may have to use chapter select in order to get a couple of them that you missed the first time around, but levels are pretty short so they're not too difficult to replay. Other trophies are for taking pictures of some unique things, like feeding the squirrels or watching a gopher ride an elk. The most difficult trophies in the game are definitely the no death runs for three of the most complicated levels; however, even these can be gotten without too much trouble (I probably averaged 10 tries per level). Overall, I think Tearaway is a great experience that everyone should try! Edited July 4, 2020 by eigen-space

Popular Post Rias Gremory
Saints Row 4 Remastered Platinum #125 Music 9/10. Trophy Success 100%. Gameplay 9/10. Enjoyment 8/10. Saints Row 4 Remastered was a fast pace and fun game to platinum. Maintain all DLC trophies before obtaining the platinum. Didn't had no problem with all 66 Challenges, it was quick and manage got halfway before I rescue Johnny Gat in Zinyak's Ship. Personal favourite powerup was Buff and element effect was money and that's how I got and made farm money and upgrade all weapons very quick because most of em are part of it relating to the trophies. The only downside trophy was the 40 hour fucking gold trophy. It was annoying and had to wait it off until 40 hours was up. But hey in the end I got the trophy and that's all it matters and i'm happy I achieved the platinum.

Game is really similar to Max Payne and Hotline Miami!! Game is creative from the start! Kill enemies in any way how you feel! Build up your combos by killing your enemies along with FOCUS, which allows you to slow time while also keeping the combo multiplier up! You must attain an S Rank on every level, some are more challenging than others, but the experience and adrenaline rush I got from this was worth it!
Popular Post SirDave1988
# 117 Jak and Daxter : The Precursor Legacy (PS4 version) Top of the HeapYou have mastered the game and collected all there is to collect! I believe this is the first game that I have platted individually across all 3 current PS systems, all 3 years apart from each other, which is weird. All in all, I never really get tired or bored of this game, especially spaced apart. It's just a nice way to chill out with a fun platformer for a few hours each day and it doesn't overstay it's welcome either. Nothing too difficult and somehow, I still remember many areas and what to do even years later. Also, the fact that it was on PS4 was negligible, there were no discernible differences or improvements from the original PS2 version, the PS3 version or the Vita version that I could see whilst playing. But for £12 for all 4 entries in the Jak series, yeah, I couldn't say no really, particularly as I've never played Jak X before.

The DLCs are pretty good too! I wouldn't mind if all the collectibles were necessary, instead of only a percentage of them. I'd reduce a point from difficulty and increase a point to the enjoyment, if the online lobbies were populated and people were more willing to conquer outposts when playing co-op.
