Popular Post slender_adrian
#119 Difficulty: 3/10 100% Completion 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Grind: 1/10 Time: ? Rarity: [Ultra Rare 3.6% / Rare 14.42%] Personal Milestone: 100th game completed "Only a very few find the way, and most of them don't recognize it when they do." Both American Mc Gee's Alice and Madness Return are cult classics, they have a grim and dark tones, an obscure atmosphere which gives the classic story of Alice a new and awesome look. I played Mc Gee's Alice first, and for a game of 2000s I was amazed by it. The atmosphere and the artistic look of the game in general was incredible, the level design for the first game is sick as hell, like I said, it looks so terrifying, dark and obscure yet beautiful. In that aspect the game shines, and I truly fell in love with its visuals and how it looks overall. But there are some flaws, first of all some people complain about the controls saying they are "tank controls" and I don't know what are they saying, since for me the controls for the first game were pretty good, in fact I liked them a lot, sure jumping can be tricky if you don't get used to the controls, but other than that this game has pretty good controls especially for a 2000s game. The only big problem I had with this game was its performance, I played it on a PS3 and the performance for this type of game on a ps3 was pretty lame. Constant frame drops and this really got in the way for the combat and everything else, so that really made my experience a bit bad. Other than that, this first game doesn't tell you anything about anything so you must figure everything by yourself, even the very same game mechanics. This isn't that bad but can be tedious on some levels, I got lost on only one part where I literally had no clue what to due. In conclusion, Mc Gee's Alice is a classic masterpiece, I recommend it for anyone looking to play a dark game with some incredible level design and an artistic department. Alice Madness Return is a cult classic and a masterpiece, compared to the first game, Madness Returns improved basically everything. It has an incredible artistic department, its atmosphere is grim and dark, but I prefer the first game looks over this one. This time the game tells a story, which continues form the first one, this time dealing with more obscure themes and focusing more on what happened to Alice. The world and level design is incredible, my favorite areas are the underwater part with the fish people, this looks just like some Lovecraft stuff, and the Cardbridge, but overall all areas in this game have a keen design. The combat is fun too, but in my opinion this game doesn't focus on combat, rather in living the story if that makes any sense haha, but yeah its pretty fun cutting down enemies with a kitchen knife. If you have the opportunity to play this game go for it is an awesome experience yet dark. I wanted to play this game for so many years and until a few years back I got the chance to finally owing a copy, totally recommend this masterpiece! Getting the plat and 100% completion on this game is very simple and easy. You'll have to beat 2 games in order to attain 100% completion, I recommend playing the "DLC" first, since its better to do the old stuff first hehe. So for Mc Gee's Alice all you have to do is to finish the game in whatever difficulty you like, this can be tedious for anyone that's not into this type of old games, BIG ADVICE save every damn second in this game, even on easy you don't know when you'll die so better be cautions haha (trust me you don't want to start a level from the start). And for Madness Returns all you need to do is a Normal run getting basically all the collectibles, you must be very careful not to miss any collectible since keeping track of them is a pain, the only thing I didn't like about this game was how excessive collectibles are, there's easy 30 or more collectibles per chapter making it a very boring plat for the most part. Once that's done all the remaining trophies can be obtain by chapter select. This games are classics, and I highly recommend playing them! To bad we won't see the 3rd and final game in this series thanks you know who. And to finish this post here's a good riddle: "How is the Queen of Hearts like a typhoon?" All this because of grindy trophies, subscription bought for few months and at least +999 hours needed in game to actually reach latest content. I was prepared for all that beforehand. Just wanted to get another FFXIV plat because the first version doesn't include story related expansion trophies, and those expansions are best thing that happened to FF in last 15 last years, at least in story, characters and music departament that is. Was tired running in circles for last few months. When my buddy said i'll never finish FFXIV i decided to get my shit together. I really don't like having unfinished business. Bought a PS5 just for this monster and i highly doubt i'll see anything that can beat this. This is a basically a love letter for Final Fantasy fans who loved the series for many, many years. Best things from best FF games are mixed together here and number of FF references are astounding. On top of that FFXIV has probably few of the best expansions ever made with so much content that many full games fail in comparison. I recommend it to anyone tired with easy and fast plats. You know something I praise you for putting so much time into a game you love. This thread has become a list of people popping shit like quiz games that take 5 mins for no point whatsoever. They don't truly enjoy them and nor does anyone else seeing it. Well done to you!!

Popular Post Umdytr
Got the plat for Resident Evil 4 last night, after six runs. What a fantastic way to re-experience one of my favorite games as a kid. I'm not even feeling burnt out unlike with other RE completions, in fact I kind of feel like doing a breather run today simply shooting at stuff with the Handcannon or something, game's just so consistently fun to run through. Bring on The Mercenaries in a couple days.

Sad to leave the story and characters behind though, I really enjoyed this. Time to move onto P5 and its spinoffs to complete the series.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
How to Survive 2 The student surpasses the teacher Unlock all of the game's trophies Tonight I dine on turtle soup. How to Survive 2 is a top-down, post-apocalyptic zombie survival game with twin stick shooting. Like Dead Nation, but with resource gathering and hunger and thirst gauge. And a bit less zombies. I liked this game. Being a massive hoarder in games, gathering loot upon loot felt like heaven to me Crafting your own weapons, armor, ammo and building your camp was fun and addictive. Whereas Dead Nation was hectic and tough, HtS2 has zombies that are no threat to a well-equipped player. I could just casually stroll down the streets/swamps/woods and massacre everything on my path with my bow. And it's very enjoyable! The game does throw you a curve ball every now and then with timed or (uuuurgh) escort missions. Even those aren't too tough with practice, although escort missions should be forbidden by law in any game. Being a male escort in a game doesn't get you paid. Or laid Getting enough materials to build everything, make every potion and food/drink takes a long, loooong time. And you better do some research beforehand, or else you'll be hunting wrong turtles for their meat. COWABUNGA! Maxing out skills in every category (weapon, health etc.) takes tens of millions of exp, and the fastest way is to play a 2-minute level for 300,000 exp. Even with save/load method for each "skill tree", it takes 100+ runs. Of boredom. Starving and being thirsty is not an issue at all. There's plenty of stuff to put into your mouth. Escort or not This is a light-hearted take on the dystopian survival genre. Every character seems to be coping well with infested world, and especially the main quest giver Kovac is a good old-fashioned lunatic. He has the best missions. Especially the holiday-themed ones, with giant killer turkeys and pumpkin head zombies. Good times. All in all, if gathering resources and blasting the undead for dozens of hours sounds fun, How to Survive 2 is your cup of turtle soup "It's the end of the world as we know it. And I feel fine."

Popular Post Valzentia
#164 - Generator Rex: Agent of Providence Difficulty: 3/10 Fun: 7/10 As a big fan of the show growing up I really wanted to pick this game up and I was finally able to. So I trained relentlessly, and once I felt confident enough, my stupid ass decided to speedrun it...and just BARELY broke the fastest achiever record. By a minute. And I almost failed; Rex Ride is such a pain in the ass that it took up perhaps the biggest share of my time other than Agent Six's time trials, and I spent almost (if not) an hour to complete it while both killing all the enemies AND not getting hit. Considering Activision never really cared about the quality of their licensed games, this was quite the frustrating experience, and many swears were heard. If you liked the show, you'll probably like this game considering it's more or less an interactive episode of the show. I did, other than Rex Ride. That part sucked ass.

Popular Post greggors95
Platinum 55- WWE 2K23. I've been a fan of wrestling and particularly WWE since I was a little lad and this is the first platinum I've got in sny of these games. I'm not a huge fan of My Faction and that was one the game modes I had to put a lot of time into during this, completing the challenges was quite fun but the towers and the faction wars are just massive grinds there is only so many 4 x 4 tag matches you can do coming up against the same cards on repeat before you start ripping your hair out. My GM was always a fan favourite in older games and I guess we can thank Xavier Woods for getting this game mode back in. There are still some features it is lacking like not being able to do title matches multiple participant matches like triple threats and fatal four-ways. Stamina is also a book issue in this game mode and even in no gimmick matches wrestlers can get injured pretty quick. I liked the use of the hall of fame challenges throughout that added an extra layer to the mode. I hope they keep adding to this mode. Not really done alot in universe mode but it seems to be very much the most forgotten part of the game sadly. The addition off war games is a great move and is match worth playing for fun even after you've done the trophies. So far my most played match type. Showcase was okay not the best I do think they should have added some sort of voice over or commentary throughout as the music they used doesn't really add anything. You play as some of John Cena's most storied rivals and play matches he lost. The two my rise stories were okay. I preferred the lock one more than legacy. Overall I would say if you are a fan of wrestling and wrestling games this is a fun game to play and going for the platinum is a grind and did take a bit off messing around for certain trophies which hopefully they will fix at somepoint.

Popular Post disaster500
#68 RAGE 2 - 17.67% Personal Difficulty - 3/10 (probably could be 2/10 if you play on Easy) Time Played - 19 hours RAGE 2 is a game with a mediocre open world, story, and characters. However, it has great combat. How much you'll enjoy this game depends on what you value in a game as a player. Personally, good combat carries my enjoyment in games like this, so it was a fun experience. There are 8 guns and 5 main abilities, which you unlock through the game by completing Arks on the open world. Most of the guns have 2 firing modes depending on whether you ADS or not. Special mention to the shotgun, which is one of the best shotguns I've ever used in any game. The abilities do various supernatural stuff like jumping high and slamming down to make a massive shockwave, or summoning a shield for quick cover. Every enemy you kill drops this blue stuff called Feltrite which is a currency, but it also heals you slightly upon picking it up. You also gain a bit of meter towards Overdrive, when activated it makes you super powerful for a few seconds. There's also a combo multiplier, the more enemies you kill quickly, the more Feltrite (and HP) and Overdrive meter you get per kill. The combat is so good imo because everything works in harmony for one intended playstyle: you run around like a madman and gun down the enemies as quickly as possible. Combine this with the shotgun I mentioned earlier and you'll have a good time. The trophy list is mostly fine. There are a few quick grinds you'll have to do at the end, because they won't be achieved through natural gameplay. An example is to kill 1337 Goons, or 128 vehicles using the Phoenix (your main vehicle). However, there's a trophy that's one of the worst ideas for a trophy I've ever seen in a game. You have to destroy 30 Spy Drones, which are a collectible. Doesn't sound too bad, right? Well unlike Ark Chests and Storage Containers, locations in the map don't tell you if there's a Spy Drone at the location. But the worst part is that each Spy Drone has 3 different locations it can spawn at, and which one it picks is completely random. The drones themselves are small metal things usually on a wall, and to destroy them you shoot them. But if you ADS at the drone it starts flying away, and if you don't kill it, it will travel to another location. I spent 4 hours (over 20% of my playtime) combing basically every location on the map hoping a Spy Drone had spawned there. What a stupid idea for a trophy. Possibly the most tedious collectible trophy I've ever done. Do I recommend? No, if you're looking for a detailed, immersive open world to explore, or if you're looking for a rich story. Yes, if you're like me and you just want fun combat. Edited April 6, 2023 by disaster500

Popular Post s68sc
#142 Demon's Souls Platinum Difficulty 3/10 (Reason Below) Fun 8/10 Completion Time 25h My reason for the Platinum Difficulty rating is that you can actually use a build that can melt every single boss and enemy, also there are a lot of strategies that you can use to cheese bosses, which I know is not technically fair to a certain point of view. But still, I had a lot of fun with this game minus the 2nd Playthrough, the music, the combat and the graphics are perfect, probably one of the best Remake I played, granted I still need to play Resident Evil 2-3-4 Remake and Dead Space Remake but for now, this is my favourite together Final Fantasy VII Remake.
