Popular Post UK-Danny-93
Fallout New Vegas Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy. 9.16% Very Rare Platinum #31 I got the Platinum for Fallout 3 about a year ago so I thought it was about time to conquer the Mojave Wasteland. I'd played both games years prior, and I always looking back preferred 3 to NV. This time however I really enjoyed New Vegas, even more so than I expected it to. The Mojave is a wackier, goofier setting than the Capitol Wasteland which was more desolate and grim. New Vegas is more like a post post-apocalyptic world. The combat is the same passable system from the games predecessor. Weapons can be modded and there are lots of unique weapons to be found which helps make the looting more rewarding throughout. There's lots of interesting side quests, factions and characters to find and interact with. Companions such as Boone, Cass and Arcade have interesting quests and backstories to discover. There are many memorable factions in the world from the Three Families (Omertas, White Glove Society, Chairmen) to the Boomers, Great Khan's, Fiends, The Kings, Bright Followers, Followers of the Apocalypse, Enclave remnants and the Brotherhood of Steel. The main conflict in the region is between the NCR (an expansionist powerhouse that generally seem to be a force for good even as they look to take over everything they can) and Caesers Legion (slavers and crucifiers modeled after the ancient Romans looking to conquer and eradicate corruption.) Then of course there's the mysterious Mr. Housein control of the Vegas Strip. During the course of the main quest you can support or betray each of these three and ultimately leave control of the Mojave to them. Or you could serve your own purposes and take control for yourself. One of the failings of the game I think is that the Legion are so inherently evil that they don't a challenge to the ideology and morals of the NCR. They're butchers who enslave and crucify. You get glimpses of something more when you talk to Caesar. He espouses strength and reliability and hates the corruption of the NCR. You learn from a merchant that the roads in the east are safe and crime is low and that many warring tribes have be successfully assimilated. But this all feels underdeveloped like the area east of the river itself. The legion feels rushed and incomplete which is a shame. While we're talking about flaws, the game's performance is poor. There's lots of graphical bugs, stuttering and worst of crashes. Frequent and redundant save files are a necessity. The game is more colourful but graphically it's hardly an upgrade on Fallout 3. The map is frustrating as ever particularly in multi-level areas and backtracking though buildings eventually becomes a chore. The Strip itself is a little disappointing; 3 active casinos, one inactive one, a vault, an embassy and a lot of loading screens. My biggest problem with the game however is how underwhelming the battle for Hoover Dam is. It feels like Oblivion's final gate fight all over again with too few combatants on the screen and too little going on for the ultimate battle. Despite that though I really enjoyed the game. There's nothing like wandering out into the wastes and knowing that any direction you walk you're sure to find something interesting. Bethesda games such as Fallout out Elder Scrolls games were the first to kindle my love of RPGs so I'm glad to add New Vegas to my Platinum Collection. From a Trophy hunting perspective, the game is fairly straightforward. You'll need manual saves at a couple of points in the main quest but other than that it can all be done in one playthrough. Doing damage with the different weapon types and healing with both food and stimpaks take a long time but I didn't have to do any grinding for it.Hardcore mode makes a few changes (healing slowly over time, mortal companions and the need to eat, sleep and drink) but it's not too difficult to deal with. I did lose Boone to some fucking Cazadors the bastards. There's a quest that requires you to find 50 special bottle caps that you should keep an eye out for everywhere you go (there's also a chance to get one every time you drink a sunset sarsparilla). Another piece of advice would be to invest in the speech skill as you need to pass a certain number of speech challenges. It'll also give yo interesting options in many encounters that aren't just melt your adversary into green goop with that plasma rifle. You'll have to spend a couple of hours gambling in the game. To get kicked out of the Strips 3 casinos you should play Black Jack (a high luck stat will help a lot here). Caravan is confusing at first but there are decent guides out there to help. I'd recommend stacking you're deck with cards found throughout the world first then building a deck of only 10s, 6s, Kings and Jacks. That makes it much simpler. There is a wealth of content to experience in New Vegas. The Platinum takes 80+ hours to get and I enjoyed every minute of it. That's not even considering the mass of dlc you'd need to go for 100%. Hopefully there's a Bethesda sale with what seems like an imminent Fallout 4 announcement. Overall I'd give Fallout New Vegas a 8.5/10 for enjoyment, a 3/10 for difficulty and a 8/10 for time commitment needed. Popular Post Masamune
Video Game BenderGot all other trophies. Fun game, especially since I got it discounted in a sale. There was only two points on my way to the Platinum that had me cussing this game out... #1: Chapter 5 on Extreme Mode, towards the end you have to fight 3 mechs on Naga & if you get hit -once-, you're dead (no type of checkpoints either). #2: Pro-Bending on Ace Mode, the first 4 matches wasn't that bad, but on the final round I was up against the Rabaroos: these a-holes were cheap as hell, I was only able to win by luck & jumping around like a crazy rabbit. These two things alone added at least 2 extra hours of work (& swearing) to the Platinum. Oh, & a warning to anyone who is using the guide here: it says that you can unlock Extreme Mode by beating Casual -or- Normal Mode, that's not the case, beating Casual only unlocks Pro-Bending Mode, so I had to end-up doing an extra playthrough for the Platinum. Other than that though, it was an ok guide. #100: Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten Wow, over 50 likes, that must be a record for this topic. Popular Post Gregorymany
#102 Hitman: Absolution Top of Your Game This game surprised me from the beginning, because it was much more than i expected. It introduced a few elements to hitman games, and the most important, improved the old aspects of the game, without losing the essence of the game. In my opinion this game is what every sequel should be, i mean it´s not a perfect game, but it have a lot of improvements compared to hitman: blood money, and add a few new elements. I hate when developers add lots of new elements just to attract more audience to their game (and of course more money), and forget about what the game really was. The only complaint i have to say about this game is that the platinum is much easier than the 100% of the game, and most of the people stops after getting the platinum; and i can say that you will miss a lot of the game if you don´t try all the challenges that the game has to offer.
Popular Post Flop
Oops, forgot to post that I earned the first Uncharted game plat when I got the plat one week ago. #46 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Platinum PlatinumWow, how detailed that platinum trophy description is. I'm surprised I didn't get the plat for the game once I started playing this game. Well, I mean when the game got patched with trophies, since I played this game before trophies even existed. I guess I didn't bother to return to this game since for some reason, i thought I wasn't gonna be fond of it after I played the 2nd and 3rd Uncharted games, and of course, in terms of gameplay, these games are way better than the first installment. But surprisingly, this gameplay has aged well. I still really enjoyed going though the game all over again. I mean, before, I did think this game revolutionary, and playing it now, the game ain't that bad. Mechanically the game is a bit clunky, but, what you expect from a game that came out in 2007, and the PS3 was still relatively new? Anyways, I thought I was probably gonna dislike this game or something after not playing it for a couple years, but thankfully I was dead wrong, as I highly enjoyed going through this game again.Enjoyment: 7/10Difficulty: 3/10 #47 inFamous inFamous Platinum Trophy Collect all other inFamous trophies.I'm so happy to finally have earned this trophy, although I'm a bit embarrassed that it took me over 5 hours to find the last blast shard I needed to collect 100% of all blast shards. Damn blast shard was at one of the poles that you can jump on in the open sea that is nearby some docks in the Neon District. I can't believe that shard was there all this time, meanwhile, for the past 5 hours, I was looking through every inch of all the 3 islands in the game map. I could've sworn I thoroughly checked all the docks beforehand. Oh well, whatever, at least I finally found the last infamous shard, rather than never being able to have found it. Aside my pure frustration of having to dealing with locating the last goddamned blast shard, I had a really good time replaying through this game. I started replaying it yesterday, but I had already finished the game on Hard, and I had finished the game in two playthroughs, one being the Good and the other being the Evil playthrough. I really liked how the environment changes depending on whether you're Good or Evil, but it was more noticeable when you were Evil, since the skies were all red, and it was all grim-looking. And then you had Cole who was very white due to how sick and mad he looked, and he looked like a freaking zombie. Was annoying to be running around the islands and have people throw rocks at me, and push me, but then I remembered that I was an asshole to all of them. Oops. Really good game, this was another game that I hadn't played for years, and once again, I thought I may dislike due to how old this game is now. But thanfully once again, I was dead wrong, and I highly enjoyed replaying through this game. Now I just got inFamous 2 left to plat, and finally I'll bother to play Second Son. Although I had already played First Light, finished it and even plat it. But it was free on PS+, and it was around when I had finally owned a PS4, and I didn't have that many games for it! Popular Post mody94_Station
Platinum #37 - Killzone Mercenary - Platinum Collect all trophies Difficulty: 5.5/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 I DID IT, I FINALLY DID IT..... cue the celebration music: I honestly was not planning on playing this game at all if it was not for PS Plus. Killzone Mercenary is a diverting shooter with STUNNING graphics for a handheld game, but kinda short. To add insult to injury, I was really disappointed when I found out the other contracts were the same main story missions with a specific set of requirements. I mean either add some new maps for those or release some as DLC. But I gotta admit, as a fan of stealth games, the covert ones were fun to tackle. The multiplayer is addicting, but the problem is finding a match can be a huge pain in the booty sometimes. Last but not least, to the person who decided to make the 10K kills trophy a bronze one Big thanks to JeieeM (everyone's favorite sidekick on this forum) for his cheering Edited May 25, 2015 by Invincible Pistachio
Popular Post ExHaseo
#67 - Freedom Wars This game was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. When I first started the game, I hated it. It had the worst start to any game I've ever played. You're unable to do much of anything, you're are constantly forced to lose progress, the controls are horribly awkward and unintuitive, and you can't even play the game freely. I get why they started the game like this, but it doesn't make it less horrible. The controls were "fixed" by just choosing a different control scheme and slowly getting used to them though. As I played through and unlocked more and more entitlements and was able to actually play the game, it became more enjoyable. The journey through the main game was really easy, but the story was interesting. Well, up until the end at least. The game ends on a cliffhanger, just as it seems like shit's about to get real. Which is really disappointing, because they were leading up to what seemed to be some pretty awesome stuff the entire game, and as far as I know, there's no plans for a sequel. (Btw, it always REALLY pisses me off when games end on a cliffhanger when they aren't sure if they're going to make a sequel). Then came the end game. This part was mostly horrible, because suddenly the game decided to be a completely different kind of game. Throughout the story, it's basically just an action game with some RPG elements. You play through and don't really have to worry about upgrading your equipment or anything like that. The game basically gives you everything you need. You just get to decide what kinds of weapons you want to use. But then after you beat the story, the game suddenly decides it wants to be Monster Hunter. You're suddenly forced to upgrade your equipment by grinding out rare materials and to bring in items to help in battle. If you didn't, you just didn't stand a chance. It was really frustrating that there was such an enormous difficulty spike. If the game had better pacing, and had slowly introduced each of these things in the main game, it wouldn't have been so bad. But they didn't. So there was a lot of struggling for me to figure out how to fight the enemies correctly, what items worked best, how to issue orders to my squad, and what weapons to use on each enemy. Anyway. Freedom Wars isn't a terrible game, but I really don't understand the praise. It's probably the worst monster hunting type game out there (with God Eater being the best imo). So, I can't say I would recommend it to anyone. Especially since there's better games like this on Vita. Like Ragnarok Odyssey and Soul Sacrifice. For $5 though, it was worth it, and was definitely an interesting experience.
Popular Post SuffyZorugelion
#127 TEKKEN 6 I'm a little 50/50 if I like this game or not. While it does bring me alot of Nostalgia Tekken 2 being my very first game. The scenario campaign mode was terrible, I hated it. I have no idea who thought this kind of mode would be a good idea. Very poorly executed. Also the actual fighting gameplay was not too well made. The game has a lot of juggles and cheap shit which I dont like in fighting games. Finding out that there is no block button, instead you block by standing still is just silly, very bad design decision in my opinion After playing Soul Calibur 2 this game wasnt very good, but I still had some fun with it.
Popular Post Royalredpanda
#31 - Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Ghost Hunter After two months of mostly playing this game during lunch breaks at work, I finally have this platinum! The game is a visual novel with strategy elements. The story is about high school students that are recruited for an occult magazine that actually fights ghosts. The story is actually divided into chapters with an opening and ending to each one which I thought was a bit odd, but whatever works. The story and battles are easy enough, the board game takes a bit of getting used to, but the main issue people seem to have is the relationships. For example, my first playthrough I got the marker that I would get a female ending and I ended up getting a male confession from someone I never used past chapter 4 and I pretty much shut him down every time he talked. The game also had an interesting art style, where they used real images and made them...artsy. Overall, I liked the game. Watching Supernatural while playing helped with the atmosphere too. Of course the thing I didn't like about it was the luck based trophies. Now to contemplate making a guide for this or not and picking a new lunch game.

After initially giving up on this game, I gave it another shot starting 9 days ago. I haven't actually put it down since then! Once I got into the story and the gameplay I understood and loved it for what it was, the initial daunting factor was that you're lumped with the entirity of Class 0 to pick through and battle with, a bit of a gradual introduction would of been nice but nevertheless, platinum achieved and game enjoyed! Popular Post Ala-Arska
Since I shamelessly neglected to post my previous Platinum, I will present it with my latest one. 2 for the price of 1, and the first one will most likely burn your eyes Without further ado: SpongeBob Squarepants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge Platinum SpongeBob Unlock all trophies I'm starting to get a slight pattern with these kids' games... Main story can be done with one sitting, in about 3 hours. That's all fine and dandy, my lil' ones have short attention spans anyway. Then comes the mop up. No biggie, do this x amount of times and do that z amount of times. Bada bing bada bang. Almost there...now it's time for the grind. See, that 3 hours is just too little, so let's just make the player finish the game 4 more times. You know, collect all upgrades and s**t. And finally...finally it's the Grand Finalê. Only one trophy separates you from Platinum. And it's a friggin' pain in the arse. There's always one trophy in these games that just drives you crrrrazy, and SpongBob has got one up his ass sleeve too. But you get through it, eventually. And the world smiles at you again Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Platinum Trophy Collect all trophies I had never even heard of this game until recently (in 'Pick the Plat you're jealous of'-section). But once I did, I was sold. Now that I've played through it, I admit that Rocketbirds didn't quite live up to my humongous expectations. Granted, I expected to see Nazi zombie angry birds bringing the gore up to 11 with a gigantic grin, but still... What I got was a somewhat psychedelic package of avian propaganda, wrapped up in a cartoon version of a 1970's Soviet arthouse movie. And it plays out like a 2D sidescrolling shooter. And yet, there was something...there that reminded me of Bionic Commando:Rearmed. And that's why I ended up liking it quite a bit. For a bird the main character moves like a ton of bricks. The voice acting is terrific in so many ways. The game is cheap, but so are some of the deaths. And so on. BUT: the soundtrack kicks ass more than Kick-Ass, the jetpack flying is fun, and you're a goddamn army of one. So screw all those negative comments I just said Edited May 25, 2015 by Ala-Arska

Popular Post Gregorymany
#103 Devil May Cry 3 HD Platinum Trophy After the great game that was Devil May Cry 1, and the the total failure that was Devil May Cry 2, Devil may cry 3 came and it´s a very good game. It have a lot of improvement compared to 1, and they developed the personality of the 2 main characters (Dante and Vergil), making them real bad asses. In my opinion they are among the most charismatic video-game characters of all-time. The cutscenes are awesome, and very stylish, the gameplay is pretty cool and have complex combos that if you can master them, you fell like a badass. This time the game have a lot of difficulties, (rewarding you with new costumes), but this time around Dante Must Die mode it´s easier to beat than in DMC1, because you unlock a costume that have infinite devil trigger when you beat very hard, but it does not regenerate your health, and i think it take more damage than the normal DT. The enemies and the bosses are pretty cool too. In my opinion i think the devil may cry series reached it´s peak with DMC 3, and without a doubt it´s the best of the series.

Popular Post flashpool23
True Survivor - Tomb Raider Fun game and a really great take on the Tomb Raider franchise. Lara Croft's younger model works to show her evolution into the well known tomb raider and the single player campaign was fun all the way throughout. Combat flows smoothly and with upgrades, it makes it even better. The only gripe one may have is with multiplayer but even that was fun in my opinion although it was a bit tedious to get to level 60. Recommend this if you haven't played it yet? Yes, I do.

Popular Post JaM
#66 Rogue LegacyErgophobia Earn every other trophy Yesssss an UR plat... Been a very long time since I had another one... And this one doesn't need 100+repetitive stoty mode run *staaaare at a certain game I have been working for month(s) now*First and foremost... Huge thanks to PS+... First for this game being "free" thanks to IGC and for the existence of Online Backup Save... Would probably rage quitted this game if Back up save didn't existed *staaaare at a certain trophy*Ooooohhh... Been a long time since I have played a roguelike game...I really really enjoy playing roguelike games... And this one is not an exemption...Okie gameplay wise... It is kinda frustrating at first and you will be expected to die lots of times before even reaching the first boss room... But once you get used to controls and enemies' moves... The fun exploring the castle begins... What I really enjoyed in roguelike games like this is you have no knowledge of what will happen next screen and will definitely test your skills and patience... Trophy wise it is challenging and grindy and sometimes, you need to pray to RNG God(dess)... The challenging part are the remix'd bosses related ones and the Less than 15 death run without architect(which is why I am really thankful to ps+ backup save)... Grindy is actually depending on your style... If you want to challenge your skills and reflexes, you might need less grind.. But for safety cushion esp in boss fights, you might spend some time in grind ville... And lastly, since it is a roguelike you will not know what stuff chests and shrines will give you...I recommend this one to all that loves challenges and randomness... Come on.. Roguelike games needs moar love...Now I guess I have no choice but to return earing bits in Digimon game... >_< Edited May 26, 2015 by JeieeM
