Popular Post Lovejinder_LJ Posted December 21, 2014 Popular Post Share Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) Hey guys I suggest this ability of being able to like as many posts as you want cause I, probably a rare kind on this site, like any post that makes sense when talking about a certain topic or a post that is actually funny and because I like posts very often, I run out of the maximum likes possible almost every day so this feature, if implimented, would be a dream come true for me Most people wouldn't see likes as anything important & I agree, to an extent, but likes are also very useful at times. When someone makes a post or replies to one and if I agree with what he is saying and I don't have anything to add to it I can just like his post and, in that way, say that I agree rather than simply quote him to tell him that I agree or repeat every point that he just made. I doubt this feature will be looked into seriously cause people like me, who run out of likes often or give a damn about them, are a minority so I can't complain if it isn't possible but, hey, maybe make it exclusive to premium members? I don't give likes that much but it doesn't bother me that there is a limit, just come back the next day and like it then instead. It's limited so it can't be easily exploited by people. If anything, premium members can always get a higher amount of likes to use.. but what is it at the moment? Like 50? If you are able to like infinitely, it just makes the whole thing completely arbitrary. If you keep it limited only to posts that are truly well liked and deserve it, you make it so much more valuable. Interesting idea, but in my humble opinion will pretty much destroy the whole system and point of liking a post on this site. I would like to give everyone who posted their awards a Like but I ran out. I came back the next day and finished up (so not a huge deal) but it would have been nice. Anyway, I agree with those saying that unlimited likes would just lead to abuse. Some people really care about the likes, so it's not far-fetched to think people will make alts and what-not. If it's day limited then there's no need for unlimited likes. People can just return to the thread the next day. And they probably go and comment on their own posts as well. But I wouldn't rise the amount of likes, I think we already have enough.
