I don't know if this is the proper thread, but I can't think of anywhere else. Is it possible that I can be directed to someone who can be able to do an image similar to the trophy icons that I have in my Atelier PP thread?

I think you would have to start a new PP thread to pull it off.  I did this last year for Ratchet, mods never closed the old thread. Shame that so many of the PPs are essentially dead due to lack of updates.

 

Godspeed if you take over. At the cadence AM releases titles, keeping an accurate ranking may be a pain. Might be good to consider updating rankings every 3 or 4 releases.

Been a while since I looked at Project Platinum. Who is in charge of what nowadays?

If the idea of trying to get Project Platinum back up and running there are a few things that should be done.

 

1. Wipe all threads.
2. Get rid of all Mixed bag threads and make it where threads are only based on franchises.
3. Make it where their are only 2 badge per thread, 1 for earning a platinum for the franchise and 1 for earning the plat for every game in the Franchise.
4. Get rid of any and all leaderboards.
5. Make it were games can be in multiple threads.
6. Just keep things fun and casual.
7. Lower the unique game rule to 3 games,

I tend to agree overall that an overhaul is needed if the PP threads are to continue. So many are basically abandoned and others are have outdated game lists or are esoteric.

 

To each point

1) Probably, or most threads. Several are still active thanks to some dedicated TCs. 

2) I tend to disagree. The most recent set of rules for PP thread creation seems to make sense. 

3) Also disagree, but no strong feelings here. I like the mirror to the PSN trophy structure. Kind of the point, in my mind.

4) Too much work to keep up unless we can use some sort of bot. The meta game of the PPs can be fun as well.

5) This makes sense to some extent. 

6) That's the plan, right? Should be fun.

7) This may result in even more threads, harder to keep up. I disagree here. 

 

I really like the PP idea and working thru a franchise or a theme of games (I love the Choice and Consequence/Metroidvania ideas) and being able to track progress. To some extent the franchise pages in PSNP have somewhat supplanted. 

 

I know PPs were rebooted a few years ago, but maybe there should be another reboot. Shutting down any threads that have not been updated in 6,12 months after giving TCs a couple weeks to update. Or someone else can just take over if they want.

I have a few thoughts on this, personally.

1. No, there are still active threads and it would be rude to just wipe ones that are currently being updated.
2. I think the mixed bag threads are honestly the most interesting threads of PP. I know that Choices and Consequences is still active and people seem to enjoy that. Why get rid of it?
3. I personally don't see the point in this.
4. Kind of agree with this one honestly. Especially since they don't seem to be all that big of a deal to most people I know who participate in PP.
5. Indifferent, but could be interesting.
6. Sure, I feel like things already are pretty casual though.
7. Hard disagree. There would definitely be too many threads.

Hey all, 

 

I’ve been offline for some time now dealing with a lot of personal problems so I have not been dealing with things in the PPs that I was hosting. Still not in a perfect place but better than I was.

 

Thanks to @Nameless600 for taking over the LEGO project. If anyone is willing to take over Hitman, Metroidvania or Way of the Sword, please feel free to do so. 
 

It was a pleasure working with this community and I hope to be up to being more involved again in the future. I’ve at least been gaming again though pretty much just straightforward stuff.

maybe, not played any but i say go for it if you can.

 

anyone interested in a PP that is something like Authority vs Rebels where you get a point after completing a game and will gain a point for a faction (Either authority or Rebels) (Using either a system where everyone picks a side, or if a game is completed then a faction will get a point depending on if a game is aligned to either faction)?

Had an idea for a Project Platinum that I can now actually suggest (having gotten all the necessary plats): an inFAMOUS/Prototype project, wrapping both series into one due to their notable similarities and fanbase rivalries alongside the two combined providing 6 unique plats and a 100% (with 1 plat and the 100% on a ticking clock due to online trophies). Does that sound logical? More than happy to do all the work for assets and maintenance on it.

Here, I am going to be posting my idea for a PP thread before anyone else does: Project Platinum Level-5, because I somehow got my hands on Level-5's Game Direct video, LEVEL-5 VISION 2023, where they show off all their new IPs coming for 2023. The games in this project will be:

• Dark Cloud
• Dark Cloud 2 / Dark Chronicle
• Rogue Galaxy
• DecaPolice
• Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
• MEGATON MUSASHI: WIRED
• Professor Layton and the New World of Steam

If there any I missed, feel free to talk about them. Of course, this thread will probably not materialize until near 2024 because the release dates of many of these titles is unknown.

I hinted on doing a PP for Dragon Quest, and I read the rules, but there's a problem... there's only one mainline Dragon Quest game that has trophies(Dragon Quest XI). I'd have to use the spin-offs and then hope that Square-Enix does the Pixel Remaster treatment for the first six games in the series like they did with Final Fantasy. Would this list be for a valid PP or should I just put a Let's Play thread on the main event board like @TomoTakino did with Final Fantasy? Here are the Dragon Quest games with trophy support:

• Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition
• Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below

Most PPs use all of the games in the series so there's no problem with only one mainline and some spin-offs so long it's DQ. But PP can use the platless games for bonus awards.

So a PP is easier if you do it the new way(the FFPP comes to mind) or the old way which still needs you make to make emblems( to ) but LP need you to make those trophies but beware if you ask someone good at making them to make them then you will have a problem then they retire.

They don't have platinums but you can also get trophies in Dragon Quest 1-3 if you download the japanese versions.  As Leon Castle stated, there's also Dragon Quest X (both offline and online lists).  So there's more than just the spin offs.

Yeeeeah, but I can't platinum that as it's a Japanese-only MMO and Square-Enix ensured that it never left Japanese shores.

Ugh. I feel like I'd never get 100% in this list if I included all the Japan-only games, but I would never live it down if I didn't include them.

 

I'll withdraw. Maybe someone else will take up the challenge of a Dragon Quest PP.

You can't but others might do the offline version of that game. So it would have to be part of a DG PP or LP in some way.

I just remembered about this and went looking through all the game lists in the OP of this thread only to realise that most of them are either dead or linked to the older thread for that particular PP. After reading through the recent posts I would also like to see a revival of PP back to what it used to be. I don't think anything major needs changed just a tidy up of all the dead threads and new General and Master threads that are kept up to date. Any open threads that haven't been getting updated can either get handed over to someone new or closed. Just need to find someone willing to take on the responsibility of overseeing everything.
