So yeah, patching and starting up Ni no Kuni 2 right now. I would like to move it to Learn Something because in the game your #1 task is to rebuild a kingdom and this would be something like Civ 5 or something while throwing in Suikoden-type army fights so you learn how kingdoms are made. (Which is ridonkelous as real kingdoms in the Middle Ages were a lot messier and bloodier than the one in this game, but hey, any excuse to snipe a category. ) Will probably play through the first chapter and then switch over to something else. Saving Rapture for tomorrow after church because my mind will be too numb to think anyways. Also going to put in a new game to replace my last entry for Make Something. Pulling a page out of @eigen-space's book and using an Atelier game for Make Something, because I just traded in WoFF for some GameStop cred... and blew six times that much on Atelier Firis and Dragon Quest Heroes. (And then blew out another $27 on three-months of PS+ because I found out Grim Legends 3 has a BS puzzle trophy involving doing three sliding puzzles in three minutes. Luckily, the Grim Legends collection is done and dusted and I never have to play Grim Legends again. I also blew $6 more for the f'king Deluxe Edition and got a soundtrack which won't work because my PS4 doesn't support the music soundtrack and five lousy avatars which I will never use because the Squid Baron is my avatar 4EVA. if the soundtrack app worked I would have said jes do it but nope. Bad PR Artifex Mundi, you aren't Square-Enix. ) Hell, why not? Throw in the other game I bought for Shoot Something. Yes, Dragon Quest Heroes the first is now a part of the list because, hell, once I get Bianca in the group she is my main and she will kill you all with her arrows in a RAIN OF PAIN. ?) So now my list is: Go Hiking: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (0%, my hands are going to be numb afterwards) Hang Out At The Lake: Old Man's Journey (0%) Make Something: Atelier Firis and the Mysterious Book (0%) Learn Something: Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (0% - still blasting patching the game with vers. 1.02, will take another 10 minuteS) Shoot Something: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below (0%, skipping every cutscene as I saw them) Get Tested: Teslagrad (7%) (Toogs, please update this ASAP) Survive: Dragon Quest Builders (0%) Bonus - Summer Vacation: Reverie () Adding more games because I know I'll clear the quota with Rapture, DQB and Teslagrad(won't give up on it, just taking a short hiatus) so I need more meaty games to fill out the rest of my time in camp. Play what you want, I won't judge you on that, okay? haha...i tried to bring some fun to the mix is all...my ego really dislikes being judged without reason...if anyone is bored feel free to read and at least judge me off the cole's notes of my life line below... indeed I had one of the $hittiest childhoods ever...crazy abusive household...one of my earliest memories is of my mother beating the $hit out of me till I pi$$ed my pants in fear for, get this, having forgotten to put the lid on the sandbox...yep, the lid...on the sandbox...i could go on with parental horror stories but there would be no point...this word and thought might seem odd but thankfully my mother was hit by a car that ran a red light when I was a preteen which saw her in the hospital for several years...my dad was always with her and came home to pretty much only to give my brother, sisters, and I money...all I knew as a kid was abuse so I reflected that in my behavior and yep, was a bully too...not overly proud of it but not afraid to call it what it was...and no, I wasn't a ghetto kid...not judging ghettos but let's face it much less safe than where I grew up, middle-class suburbia, so one might assume my behaviour was typical of kids raised in "rough" neighbourhoods... when I was young I attended school summer camps...my parents' version of keeping us out of the house...i was also a musician and later joined a jazz/latin music summer camp several years in a row...had some great times with girls, drugs, music, and freedom...positive experiences in my opinion... returning to timeline...with complete freedom (parents never around) what kind of person do you think I was?...cliché is a good word...everything I touched basically turned to $hit...my mother eventually came out of the hospital and was more abusive than ever despite now having a permanent disability... so I dropped out of school and hit the streets at 15...the drug addiction I had picked up several years earlier stayed with me till I was 23...after once again hitting homelessness, I woke up one day and while smoking a wake-and-bake joint in the park and before heading off to panhandle for drug money, I had an odd revelation that I'd been living off the sob story of "I am the way I am cuz of the crap my parents did"...then realized I hadn't seen them in 8 years..."holy $hit, I live every day just to see how high I can get...that's f**ked up"...quit doing drugs that day...checked into a homeless shelter... sobriety made me realize 3 things...1 - my memory skills are permanently f**ked although I work on building them back up on a daily basis...2 - contrary to what I'd been brainwashed to believe up to that point in my life, i'm f**king intelligent and good at a lot of $hit...not in an egoistic sense, more like unlocking my own potential kind of thing...life's platinum, if you wish...3 - I had f**ked over a lot of people and burnt a lot of bridges...i later went on to track down and meet up with everyone I'd felt I screwed over, apologize, offer some sort of compensation for my past behavior, and pay off what I believed were debts although I only formally owed a few people money... one thing that had always carried me through was an intense work ethic (hence my real life nickname of bambam)...landed a sweet job...kickass apartment downtown...met my (now) wife...a sexy selfless, hardworking, intelligent, modest, and caring person...she also happened to be Japanese and have a limited time in Canada due to her visa situation...so I gave up everything here and moved to Japan after only knowing her for a few months... the decade I spent in Japan was kind of $hitty in many ways (i don't like Japan so if you do, avoid talking about it with me, please) but a lot of important things happened and was a major shifting point in personal evolution...after my wife gave birth to our two kids, I hit what my friends call an "early mid-life crisis"...you see, I had been led to believe you have to work your a$$ off to get "meaningful things"...i had a beautiful wife and two perfect kids, a six-figure savings account, a stable job with lots of perks and that is ideal for a family man, owned a piece of land in the mountains in Japan and had spent three years designing a house to build on it without needing any financing, had started travelling the world during my summers, all the crap I ever wanted, was a social butterfly, and I wasn't happy...why?... part of my conflict was the thought of "I have two human beings that I need to love, let be, coach and learn with for the rest of my life but I'm f**king miserable...what am I going to try and teach them?...this bull$hit?...so I questioned everything, hit up books and the internet, religion, philosophy, parenting intel, you name it...for the record, I've always been a knowledge/information/philosophy lover...in the end, I sold our land, quit my job, and moved our family back to Canada... which brings us to recent history... I now own a company in a field I'm passionate about and have received awards for excellence for the last two years putting us in the top 2% nationwide...we also maintain an average internet rating of 98% across hundreds of clients all of which are legit... i'll admit, I'm not the greatest parent but I'm happy that I'm not at all like mine were...i do my best to just let my kids be, praise them for what they are, encourage them to keep an open-mind, try to plant the seeds of self-awareness and to help them discover healthy conflict resolution (without distracting them from their present feelings but rather by going deeper into them), lead by example rather than philosophy or meaningless words, all the while never passing up an opportunity to remind them that they are loved regardless of what mood they're in or what day of the year it is...my past has kind of left me well prepared to be a father having been in some of the greasiest, grimiest situations life has to offer...i doubt they could ever be like "dad, something terrible happened...etc" and I have a reaction of "oh my god...i can't believe it" but you never know... oh, and that bull$hit about working one's a$$ off to get "meaningful things"...i swear, it's a hoax...to me, you do the $hit you love first and everything you ever want or need finds you...i do put in a lot of hours at my job (sometimes up to 100 in a week) but it doesn't feel like work...it feels great...parenting too...hard work?...nope, f**king awesome...video games?...not hard work either...playing music?...nope...marriage?...nope...funding, volunteering at, and participating in community events?...nope...friendships?...nope...travelling?...nope...i think if life feels like hard work, change it, you're living wrong... that being said, i haven't got life figured out in any way, shape, or form but my early mid-life crisis led to an important thought and what I consider "meaningful" has changed...there's basically two things : personal health and things that i'd want at my funeral...the latter is basically just people to remember me in a positive light or that I may have touched in some form or another or that I gave a $hit about and did my best to show it...and you know what else?...if I had to go back to the start and do it all over again knowing all the stuff i know now...i'd walk the exact same f**king path... forgive the rant...this may actually win for my lengthiest post (it took quite a few quiet moments to draft up and just kept getting longer and longer to the point of "should I just delete all this crap?...nobody cares"...but my ego submitted it)...yay...feel free to judge me now...better to know my abridged life story than to judge me off one attempt at a pretty honest but humorous post... if discriminating against anonymous people on the internet off of one post is your style and honesty and humour scares you to the point of banning and calling the police, I'm glad we aren't in the same cabin, too...based on your edit, seems like you never got a chance like I did to smoke a joint in the park and realize that you can take control of you're life at any second...well, there's always now..."but I can't...I can't because..."...sure, whatever... with respects to the event here, I don't usually join stuff like this but I liked the idea, the efforts and creativity put in by the creator, saw that one cabin had only two people, and that this one was not a formal competition...a chance to just have some fun...so I joined... @Toogie53 it would appear I have the wrong assassin's creed png...mine should be this one... i'd also like to add manhunt for the category of putting on a show (can't remember what it's called)... thanks for all the hard work you've put into organizing...must've take quite some time and effort...appreciated...i think the only game I have to add the trophy list to my profile for is wolfenstein...i'll have to dig the disc out of a massive stack at some point... busy so will update again at some point next week...go cabin #9...cheers... p.s. the fist pump in dank basement was entirely a joke...haha... I pretty much liked everyone from the first game more in the sequel, though. And Ludger and Elle's story was so incredibly good and touching. I wish Xillia wasn't my only Tales Plat.. I think most people would say they had a pretty tough childhood, but you can actually say that with some conviction, @ProfBambam55. I grew up as a military brat (and you thought I was just playing a role ?), but that was probably the best thing that could've happened to me. The only abuse I suffered was mental, from never being good enough to living by a very strict schedule. In many ways, it was a blessing in disguise, because it taught me discipline and work ethic, gave me a good sense of the world at a very young age, and kept me out of trouble. I'd argue it's the hardest of the Soulsborne games to platinum. Sure, beating it isn't bad, but those Defiled Chalice dungeons are a nightmare. Especially Amygdala. That battle alone is harder than anything I've faced in Dark Souls 1, 2, or 3. DLC included. But if you want to ensure you're giving yourself a proper challenge, try to 100% the game too. I hope I am forgiven at church tomorrow for cussing but... Spoiler HOLY FUCK! I thought I was playing Ni no Kuni, not Fallout 76! So that's how Roland ends up in the world of Ni no Kuni in the middle of a coup of power by the mice people. Good thing he decided to stay there, I don't think he will want to go home to find his family has turned into super-mutants. The game has the same charm as the original Wrath of the White Witch, but it is Kingdom Hearts in combat all of the way. Didn't find the skirmishs bad but Longfang... oh geez, are all of the realmwreckers gonna be this long? Still, it's a fun game and I just got to the part where I can manage my kingdom, I mean Evermore. (I honestly wish the Secret of Evermore was as cool as Evan's kingdom instead of some really cheezy alternate world created by people who hated their lives and it got jacked by a robot butler. Yeah, anyone else remember THAT game? ) As soon as I get home from church I'll try to get some progress on another platinum. Maybe Everybody's Gone to the Rapture because every camp has to have a nature hike. EDIT: I really should have put some of this stuff in spoilers. Sorry. Where i struggled in the DLC was when I was collecting all of the weapons and you have to go down the well where there are those two giant walking shark fish people things. It probably took me 30 attempts there. Defiled. Chalice Amygdala is still the winner of the hardest boss award though. I havent played Dark Souls yet so I cant compare them. Kind of glad to hear you think they are a bit easier than Bloodborne though. No trophy update for me, but I did pick up Dangraronpa again and got two more 'friends' in the school mode, so now I only have 8 left. I finished the main game a long time ago, but this school mode is rather a boring grind and, for some reason, I kept losing during the last task. Today I realized it's because not all rooms take up the same amount of energy to mine, so I was doing the low energy rooms, and then trying to rush the high energy rooms when I needed those resources I'm hoping I can get all 8 done in two more playthroughs and then quickly grind out the last of those items. I enjoyed School Mode as it's quite funny and so very different than the main game... Although it didn't help that i played 5 times through ... but since so i can tell you it'll get easier crafting whatever task you've got as the kids level up until level 9 which is max... i let 12 kids search for goods and 4 clean... and boy! let 12 lv 9 kids dig in one room and you'll get dozens of goods that day ... and also i chose the rooms with high energy need as normal activity and only when need arose changed a kid to a room with lesser energy consumption (giving them rest before they collapsed of course)... The gameplay may leave a bit to be desired, but the story, atmosphere, and tension are all top notch. Except for in one stealth section, where a pop song starts randomly playing. So out of place, but I loved it. It was a little light on the supernatural stuff, though. Enemies mainly only consist of dudes with guns, or crazy people. But it was still scary enough to me. Especially since I didn't want to kill anyone for the good ending, so I almost never sprinted. A real nerve-wracking experience. And fuck those mannequins. This one went quicker than I thought, so I'll likely be playing something between it and The Last of Us.
