Popular Post iXanon
Update #11: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone! Apologies for not getting an update out last week, I was kinda busy with pre-Christmas stuff alongside a bit of gaming during some time off work. There's a third platinum to share to make up for it with Assassin's Creed II, and I've started playing Killzone again to try and dust off at least one PS3 game before the event is finished, though I've realised this requires at least 4 playthroughs to finish and I'm going to require a 5th, so it may not yet be the next completion to aim for.. Popular Post HaserPL
0 Advanced issue found ▲ On 27.08.2019 at 2:00 PM, HaserPL said: LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham 2% 19% 100%; Another game off the list. Man, it was tough. It's been my first LEGO game I finished in about 12 years. I didn't expect much but I was still let down. I love LEGO, don't get me wrong, when my younger brother gets them as a gift I always build them before him. But the game really was painful to finish. The story mode was okay, 5/6 hours but it was mostly fun to play. But boy oh boy, the clean-up was such a chore. 90% of my experience with the game was just collecting shit and doing shitty side quests to get collect even more shite. And don't even get me started on DLC's, If I were to pay full price for them I'd be genuinely pissed. The biggest let down was The Dark Knight Trilogy pack, I was expecting at least some content, but no, 10 minutes, just some pesky Alfred narration, and that's it. I looked at the screen when it ended and was like "... wut? That's it?" + add some funny ragequit.gif here. Now I know what to expect from LEGO Games and I decided that I will pass on most of them. I will just play Harry Potter and Marvel ones, I love the source materials so at least there will be something interesting for me in them, if I were to play Lego The Movie The Video Game, for example, I'd poke my eyes out with a spoon. Anyways, have a good New Year's Eve and best of wishes for the upcoming 2020!
Popular Post Fnee2000
End of the year Update... Seeing that it is less than 3 1/2 hours until the new year for me, I figured I would give one last update for 2019. I have been busy, having some days off from work surely helped. I managed to finish up and get my 100% for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The First Blade DLC sure went by fast, then I got to the Atlantis DLC and thins crawled to a standstill. Episode 1 and 3 were the pits, at least Episode 2 of the Atlantis DLC was interesting and tied up some storylines for the main character. When all was said and done, I clocked in just over 138 hours into that game. That was a good chunk of my free time over the past two months. Kind of why I am behind on my list for this event... I followed that up by clearing off one of my older games from my backlog. I figured, with the decade coming to a close, why not complete a game that has been languishing for over a decade on my backlog. I finished up Eat Lead and boy did that game try my patience. For a game that had a character called QA, I don't think they went through QA during production of the game. They probably spent most of their budget on the two main voice actors. The game was poorly designed, characters moved oddly or glitched out. The performance and optimization was piss poor with frame rate dropping down to a crawl at some points (especially during the final boss). Enemies would one shot you through the wall. Checkpoints were so sparse that I lost a lot of time. Especially on the final level, which alone, took me 5 hours to complete because of wasted time. Then there were the 7 game crashes to top it all off. I would not recommend the game to my worst enemy... I followed up that with a nice easy point and click adventure. I completed Black Mirror and found some of the same performance issues Eat Lead had. I went through 4 game crashes during my play time. Usually during loading screens. The first crash happening right after the very first cut scene. Add to the fact that the story was just, not the greatest, I'll just be happy it is done. I followed this up with a short little 100% game in Whispering Willows. Not much to say as the story was, something. The gameplay was puzzle-lite in having to use an inner ghost to help you solve them. Then you just had to collect some items and read some things. Not much to write home about, but a fun little game... My last update comes from the Zelda like adventure game Reverie. I didn't have much trouble with this game and the puzzles weren't all that tough. Was a fun little side adventure. The other thing I did was take stock of where I am on my list and how much time is left. I lost a lot of free time playing AC Odyssey. Not that it was a bad game, just super long. So, I decided to use my two drops and my last swap to try and make things more manageable with the 60 days remaining in the event. I will be dropping Skyrim from my list. Not that I don't want to play through it again (beat it on Xbox 360), I just don't want to sink more hours into an extremely long game. I will also be dropping The Grand Tour Game because honestly, if I am going to play a racing game, I should focus on Driveclub to get that Platinum before the servers go down. I still need the 1000 miles driven while part of a club trophy. Lastly, I am going to use my last swap on another open world game in Sleeping Dogs, which will again eat hours I don't have left. I will be putting Life is Strange 2 in its place. I enjoyed the original Life is Strange and picked up this sequel during a recent sale. There it is, my end of the year report. Now to plot out my course for the remaining 60 days of this event. I learned my lesson finally and I will not be putting so many long games on my lists in future events ? Updated list is below... What's left ... 4 more missions in Son of Sparda, Dante Must Die, Heaven or Hell, Hell and Hell, all weapon upgrades, 5000 kills, 50k orbs spent, SSS rank on all Nephilim levels and the final life/DT upgrade. Wow there's still alot of work there! DMD will be a pain but this will be a problem for next year Still not as awful as DLC 's Vergil Must Die (seriously the initial release of this game was complete ass). Onto the next year. Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Guess who's back, back again Jay's back, tell a friend Been home since Sunday, I thought I have to stay much longer in the hospital. But it was only Friday and Saturday, surgery was a success apparently, at least I can feel pain in my arm again. I even got an update for you: My brother streamed CIV 6 for me so I could finish the 100% from the hospital bed (3rd in the world according to PSNP, kinda proud of it) And then I've talked my girlfriend into doing 1 Controller 2 Players, since my right arm is still in a sling til at least Friday and I'm not supposed to use it to much. And turns out we're really good at it - 2 plats for us. I'm 1000% sure now that she's a keeper. The Crew 2 (isn't part of my list) and: Shadow of Mordor 27% -> 82% BUT I'm using my second drop for it. My girlfriend and I can't figure out how the Warchief shit in Sauron's Army works in the Challenges. We we're trying the Test of the Wild or whatever it's called for the trophy and used the riot system how recommended in the guide to kill Bodyguards and Warchiefs. But everytime a Riot was completed another Captain got promoted, and not a Bodyguard from the old Warchief, some random Captain. Tried 3 times happend all the time. If anyone can explain the system to me I might clean it up later. So that's leaving four games for me: Borderlands TPS (in progress with Fnee, currently on hold because we did the Borderlands 3 DLC) AC Revelations (probably the last game I'm doing) AC 3 (I'm saying for a while now that I'm doing it next, but I finished South Park, LiS Before the Storm a lot of Shadow of Mordor before starting the game xD) Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (starting this soon) As you can tell my mood has improved greatly with my health improvement. Funeral for my granny is in 2 weeks and after that I'm leaving the whole last month of 2019 behind me. Starting the new decade with a clear mind and a goal to reach, the goal is to leave the ever lurking depression behind me. Bit of a boring NYE this year since we haven't planned anything. I was sure I wouldn't be home anymore this year. But that gives me enough time to remember people the real reason we celebrate on the 31st of december. To remember Lord Voldemort, who would have turned 93 today. (Yes, I'm a Harry Potter nerd)

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Trees Woe and the Blight Below: This is basically what you'd expect from a Dragon Quest x Warriors crossover: Countless enemies, but battles are a bit more strategic than most Warriors games. Enemies can actually take over a location you're meant to protect (which results in a game over) & you need to think a bit when placing your monster allies to make sure they actually prevent the enemy from reaching certain locations. I wish the same would be possible for my human teammates, having them guard a location of my choice would make it easier & it'd make sense for them to go along with my battle plan (because I'm the strategist of the army). You can choose your protagonist at the start of the game, but you can play as whoever you want afterwards. Most enemies are not actually dangerous, they just have a lot of HP. You can revive your allies four times every battle. So dying is not that much of a problem, never needed to revive more than once during a battle so far. I'd say I'm about halfway through the story, will see if I can at least beat the final boss before I have to go back to work. It's a nice game so far, but the battles are a bit repetitive and mainly consist of button mashing. Never really had to pause and guard or actually dodge attacks to survive.

The story isn't really all that bad and I didn't have as many gripes with the combat as others seemed to, although I had a much better time against boss enemies than the mobs you find around the streets. My main complaints come around the technical performance of the game - I experienced so many crashes that it ended up getting frustrating, especially coupled with the fact that the game has some awfully long loading times and often would stutter when traversing between districts. With the lack of fast travel, it would have been nice if moving around London would have been more of a seamless experience. I also encountered a weird glitch where custom waypoint markers would randomly add themselves to the map - specifically when I was accepting other quests, often the waypoints would be way off the top of the map and be hard to remove. There was a bit of relief at the end too when the pacifist trophy popped, as I was anxious I may have messed up somewhere along the way. The guide on here though is really amazing. Popular Post StilRh
Finished Raging Loop. A great visual novel meets Werewolf style killing game! The writing was very on point, good balance of horror, decent cerebral brain storming elements with comical and ecchi moments to lighten the mood when needed. Popular Post Copanele
(Probably) the final update: 1. Devil May Cry (PS3) - 100% 2. Devil May Cry 3 (PS3) - 100% 3. Demon's Souls (NA version PS3 ) - 100% 4. Deadpool (PS3) - 100% 5. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PS3) - 100% 6. J-Stars Victory VS+ (PS3) - 100% 7. L.A. Noire (PS3) - 100% 8. Devil May Cry 2(PS3) - 100% 9. Bayonetta (PS3) - 100% 10.DmC: Devil May Cry (PS3) - 100% 11.Alice : Madness Returns (PS3) 12. One Piece : Pirate Warriors 2 (PS3) Swaps used : 3 Drops used : 2 And here it is, the final stuff. DmC Devil May Cry is completed, 100% and already deleted Had enough of Donte's antics. For me this will also be a stop from this event. Since the following 2 months will be very busy for me(starting Monday 6th), I am not sure I can complete any other game under 35%(or something along those lines). I will focus mostly on cleaning up the games where I have 2-3 more trophies. Still, I believe I reached my target within the rules of the event. If however I manage to complete the 2 crossed games from above (Alice and One Piece) I will make a small side update. Consider it a DLC of sorts . Thanks for letting me participate, it really was fun tackling those old games from my list . Best of luck everyone!
Popular Post MyNameIs_Rainman
Final Fantasy VIII Remaster : Infamous 2 : Infamous First Light : 34% Spyro 2 ; Spyro 3 : The Walking Dead : Detroit: Become Human : 0% Got rid of all the fluff, and hammered away some hardcore Spyro and Infamous time the last few days. After I finish up my a different backlog title (Gundam Breaker 3, maybe Dungeon Traveler's 2?) then i'll probably start Detroit or get back into the swing of Infamous first light. Kinda dislike Fetch's character so it makes it more of a dull experience to place, despite loving the colors and vibe from First Light.
Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Well it has been a while. Happy New Year Everyone! I hope y'all had a good time during the holidays, I know I did. But all good things must come to an end and now it's time to be back being a "Slave to The Grind". I made some great progress in my gaming too. Here's my update: Bound By Flame [PS3] - 100% Eat Them! [PS3] - 100% God of War: Ghost of Sparta [PS3] - 100% Heavy Rain [PS4] - 100% Mad Max [PS4] - 10% => 37% Actual Sunlight [Vita] - 100% Driveclub Bikes [PS4] - 100% How to Survive 2 [PS4] - 0% Wanted Corp [Vita] - 100% Dragonball Xenoverse 2 [PS4] - 100% Skylanders Giants [PS3] - 0% => 100% Grand Kingdom [PS4] - 100% Skylanders Giants: As Captain Flynn would say: BOOM! Skylanders might be a considered a "kids" game but it is all around fun no matter your age. Took a little extra time with the game leveling up my favorite characters and all the giants. I also had some helpful items for Nightmare mode, but I didn't really need to use them much. Buying a bunch of Skylanders characters in a bundle and on the cheap has really paid off. Terrafin is still my favorite Skylander. It does suck tho that I can only have one character active on the portal. That's one thing LEGO Dimensions does better. Mad Max: Checking out the forums about this game before starting it was a really smart choice. Focusing early on the challenges and not reducing threat level is definitely something one must do. I have 90+/140+ of the challenges done, most of what remains is doing stuff with Archangels (different builds of the car which I can't build yet), completing stuff for the camps and collectibles. Basically now I can focus on the story/quests. As a side note, some of the challenges are really annoying. There was one that took me a couple of hours even with the perfect setup. For next week, I'll try to finish up Mad Max. At the very least I should get really close to the plat. I'm also trying to do a DLC set in Driveclub each week as a separate goal.
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Time for a start-of-week update - I finished my first two runs through NieR:Automata and made a start on my third. All I can say is, wow. This game has blown me away on all fronts. I can't believe I left it this long to give it a shot. One of the most satisfying action-RPG's I have played in a long time and the way it plays around with camera angles, genres and perspective is great. I tip my hat to Yoko Taro on this and i'm now following his Twitter in the hope we'll get another instalment. Popular Post freddie1989
New Year update for me! The Surge - managed to beat PAX but haven't played it since. Bloody difficult. Far Cry 5 - picked this back up and made a start on DLC. Finished first run on Vietnam which was actually really enjoyable. Started Mars as well and made a bit of progress. Zombi - finished first playthrough of this atrocity, 2 more to go and it will be over. MK X - Finished towers with each character, fatality, x-ray and variations with all so a part of the grind done. Need to move on to the online bits next. Popular Post iXanon
Update #12: Hello 2020.. Not too much to report since my last update. I've finished my first playthrough of Killzone and considering its age, I've actually quite enjoyed the game. I'm going to try and play through Luger's campaign on hard difficulty, followed by Chapter's 1 and 2 to see if the General trophy unlocks and if I can finish the game in 4 playthroughs instead of 5. I'm hopeful that I can at least finish Luger's campaign and maybe even Rico's campaign too before next week. I might give it a go in February, i love the idea of augmented body parts and the Souls like gameplay is really appealing. Would you recommend it?
