How big is your PS3 backlog?

My PS3 backlog is over 70 games. Assuming I don't buy anymore (there are only two or three more games I'd be interested in).
Luckily I don't need to boost any of them since I went ahead and got that done, but I got some hard games and some games with hard plats in that backlog like Catherine, Metal Gear Rising, Child of Eden, and Mirror's Edge.

I have 9 games left

Silent Hill 2

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time

Kingdom Hearts: CoM

Kingdom Hearts BBS

Wipeout HD

Shadow of Colossus

Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns

Metal Gear Solid 4

Heavy Rain

I think I'll definitely finish the top 4, can't say the same about the bottom 5.

I actually went over my entire PS3 physical game backlogs last summer. If I game average 30 hrs per week and only play PS3, it will take me an entire year to finish my PS3 backlogs. Considering majority of my PS3 backlogs are JRPG. Each of them will require 100+ hrs to get plat. Right now I am working on Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, and I can see myself put 100 hrs into this one. ATM I don't even want to think about some of PS+ free games I was looking to plat.

I have Star Ocean International on my PS3 backlog and I'm not sure I'll ever muster up the courage to sink the required 400 hours to plat that thing

As it stands, I think my PS3 backlog is fairly small now, at least compared to how it was a few years ago, and especially compared to my 300+ something backlog on PS4.

Games currently in my main backlog:
Eternal Sonata
Lost Dimension
Tomb Raider Legend
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Tomb Raider Underworld
Tales of Symphonia (currently playing)
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Tales of Graces f
Tales of Xillia
Tales of Xillia 2
Disgaea D2
Disgaea 3
Enchanted Arms
Wonder Boy in Monster Land
Monster World IV
Rayman 3 HD
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

Games I'll likely never play/very low priority:

One Piece Pirate Warriors
Ducktales Remastered

Turok (2008)

R.U.S.E
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

PS Plus games I'll likely never play/finish:
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Akedo Series Swap, Pixel and Jump
Serious Sam 3
Sacred 3
Anna
From Dust

I think I should hopefully get my backlog done in the next 2-3 years or so, not counting all the PS1 and PS2 classics I have across my UK and North American PS3s (it will would likely take more like 6-8 years if I include those). Since the start of this year I've had one PS3 game "on the go" at all times, even if I only end up playing it once a week for a few hours, it feels like I'm making progress, albeit slowly.

I finished the FF13 trilogy across November 2019 to early March this year (should give you some indication of just how slowly I'm going), and I'm quite enjoying Tales atm despite not feeling it when I first tried it about 5 years ago. Not bothering to plat any more of my PS3 games though (may plat Lost Dimension if I enjoy it enough though), that would just be too much of a time sink considering most of my backlog already consists of long JRPGs, 2 of which don't even have trophies.

  • 2 weeks later...

i have 279 ps3 Games on my profile
142 of them are done with 100%

17 are plated but some dlc are missing

the rest is basically backlog^^

additional there are about 20 games that i have not even started yet

currently i am working on it

for example finished comet crash with all dlc after 10 years

and finished cuboid with dlc after 9 years^^

but i am also working on my ps4 backlog so its not only ps3 ( i often avoided collectibles in the past^^)

goal is to buy no new game if not 2 old ones are finished. but i actually finish some more in between new ones

sadly i wont be able to clear the whole backlog due to some impossible trophies there or some that are just to much.(inversion 400h of boosting no thanks) and with some of them i am just not willing to pay so much money for dlc (cod mw3 is asking 60 bucks for the season pass not gonna do it)

Depends, I have maybe around 40-60 ps3 games not counting the ps+ freebies that I will never play, nor counting the ones I never played and now got remaster for the PS4 which I haven't decided if I will play on both or just stick to the new version.

Of those 60 games, some will forever stay in my list as 1-5% games because I don't think I will ever touch them again or can't do anything about them anymore. Some maybe a third of them I intend to plat and/or 100%...  And others I will play and finish their stories but can't be bother with some of the trophies so will likely sit in on incomplete forever, but that's ok.

My PS4 backlog on the other hand is smaller, and i think I've been handling it better dealing with MP trophies first and then coming back to the games to enjoy at my pace, and for the most part only starting games I'm certain I will enjoy and will probably at least plat. There are about 40 games there, a few started and loads I haven't touch yet but looking forward to do so.

PS5 won't factor into my gaming till 2022 or more, as I never buy any console or game at launch.

My PS3 backlog has hovered around 50-100 for a few years now. I swear I'll get around to them...I swear.

My PS4 backlog is finally under 300, but I recently bought a Vita, so add another 50-75 to the list.
