 I really enjoyed playing titanfall 2. It was a great game, not for the story but gameplay was great imo. 
Made 5 playthroughs but still have no idea on what the game is all about. ?

If I can barely finish the main campaign without throwing the controller, how the hell am I gonna complete everything else????This game sucks!

Fall/Winter Challenge Update #4

 

I got a lot further in Cold Steel II and boy.  Oh boy.  Spoiler plot discussion below.  But trophy-wise I did /not/ make a mistake with the majorly guide-heavy trophies so that's good.  Now I just need to basically run through it again on Nightmare mode.  Man, I already have over 120 hours in this game...  I really wish Nightmare wasn't a trophy.  But oh well, time to slog through.  Still need to do the final dungeon too but I'm actively working on that as I post.

 

I have a lot to work on this weekend but hopefully, I can start working on some of my other games soon.

 

Cold Steel II Plot Discussion @ladynadiad

I jokingly say that 'I can't like any character otherwise they die' and yet it's not really a joke.  I'm very upset about Crow's death.  I'm even more upset that he failed in the one thing he tried to do.  Once the Occupation started I felt very...uneasy.  I knew I 'won' and yet, clearly, in the grand scheme of things it really didn't matter.  Which I both liked from a story standpoint but it also hurt.  I also feel like the second epilogue almost cheapened everything?  I felt like the game should have ended in the Finale but oh well.  Also I totally called that guy being Rean's dad.

Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed: Not entirely sure what possessed me to start up this game after my last update but I'm glad I did. This ended up being a very enjoyable, very chaotic racer, despite the fact that I played the majority of it in split screen (4 controllers). I did this so I could work on mods for additional characters, greatly reducing the grind needed when all was said and done. It must've made the races in this game a lot easier because I had next to no trouble with any of them. I came in first in every race in each Grand Prix and was winning by a margin of more than a minute after the four races were completed, and this was on expert mode! The World Tour featured a handful of challenging events, mainly traffic attack challenges but a few of the drift challenges were quite difficult as well. I made use of the Yokozuna glitch so I only had to beat one expert ghost to unlock the trophy, otherwise that trophy would've been hell on earth. Overall I'd give this game a 6/10 in terms of difficulty, and an 8/10 in terms of enjoyment. Don't let the high difficulty estimates of the game scare you, it's actually very manageable and it's a really fun game to boot. Always nice to add another ultra rare platinum to the collection; I've already ordered the Vita version of this game and will more than likely do it relatively soon. My final stats for anyone who's interested:

 

 

Killzone: Mercenary: Haven't touched the campaign since my last update, but instead went and (almost) completed the online trophies. I've already grinded out 100 multiplayer matches, just waiting for my boosting buddy to do the same so we can load into a public match to pop the trophy together. Grinded out the matches in Botzone but unfortunately the trophy for completing 100 matches doesn't unlock in this mode so we'll need to head online. Will try and get back to the contracts soon before I up and forget the layout of each level and make it harder than it needs to be. [Just completed the online portion for this game!]

I agree with you in regards to the game ending at the finale, that's kind of why I implied I felt you were finishing the game up with you only being in the finale.  The epilogue especially fell flat and wasn't even necessary since that could have all been covered with exposition at the beginning of CS3 just as easily  The only important thing that comes up in the epilogue is a NG+ only scene that you'll get on the way to the plat.

 

But I do get how you feel regarding the ending.  You win, but the enemies still made out just fine, but then it's only the second game of a four game arc, so it's not too surprising that you aren't able to fully win yet.  Putting an end to the civil war is still a solid victory though, but the epilogue just felt like them trying to draw out the game a bit more.  I think ending at the finale and then having the occupation part as an extra episode would have been enough.

 

And let me go ahead and give my own update:

Wrapped up a couple more trophies in Hajimari, just trying to finish up my third run and get the last two trophies that aren't a major grind and need to wait on the Oct 1st update.  I'll probably get that plat shortly after that update drops.  Made a bit of progress in Sengoku Basara trophy wise by finally pulling off the no damage trophy and somehow getting the one for finishing a story with a 500 hit combo.  The latter was a bit strange because the trophy implies you need to finish the last battle with a 500+ hit combo, and I definitely didn't do that.  If it was just 500+ at some point in the last battle, then I should have gotten it before then.  About the best I've figured out is that trophy has been an issue for others and only seems to unlock if you don't unlock any other trophies from that run and meet the conditions.  I've also wrapped up a few more playthroughs, putting me up to 25 completed.

 

And going to add Alphadia Genesis to my list since I just bought that one.

I was hoping this update would include the platinum for God of War. So far I’ve enjoyed everything this game had to offer. Did everything I needed to do to beat the story got all the trophies. And then there’s the Valkyrie Queen... I don’t know how many times I’ve tried beating her, it just won’t happen. Tried numerous different builds, watched countless videos on how to beat her easily(...) It’s quickly ruining the experience I had with the rest of the game. Which is sad because I really had fun playing it. I will keep trying but with much less interest than before. If anyone has any tips on how to defeat her, feel free to share. 
 

Because of all this, I’m already looking at what I will play next which is probably Until Dawn.

Did you try lowering the difficulty to easy?

If you have already, then try grinding in that one area that has random rooms every time you enter(sorry I forget the name)

You can get really strong equipment if you put enuff time in there.

Did you take a look at the 100% trophy walkthrough here on PSNP? I beat the Queen on my first attempt having followed it, I don’t remember my exact build or anything like that but it should be all there in the guide.

I think II is a little harder unless you have a good grasp of the stacking/buffing/etc mechanics.  But otherwise, yes, CSII is awesome.

As others said, did you try lowering the difficulty to easy?  For me it was really just a matter of watching her and anticipating what she was going to do next.  I focused more on not taking damage than dealing out damage so the fight was a little long but I beat her on my second try.

I wouldn't say the occupation part is pointless.  I can see where people who have only played the Cold Steel games would think so, but it definitely is meant to be a tie in for the Crossbell arc to the Erebonian one since CS3, CS4 and Hajimari do continue the plot that happened in Zero and Ao no Kisek and that was something we definitely didn't want to happen off screen.  However, I think it would have been better if you were playing antagonist side and played as Rean and Altina rather than Lloyd and Rixia. But I think the epilogue wasn't as needed and honestly I would have rather they ditched that and if anything include the annexation of North Ambria which does happen off screen between CS2 and CS3 and definitely has a bit more importance to the plot.

 

But otherwise I hope you get to start CS3 soon enough.

Oninaki is finished, I enjoyed my time with it has an interesting concept and cool character designs, and even though I didn't care for the direction it went near the end. Don’t get me wrong I really did enjoy the story it’s more of a personal bias kind of issue, it was still fun to play and it does feel like a hidden gem in the same way that I am Setsuna was.

And due to a challenge, I'm participating in with my friends IRL, I'm adding the Shenmu series to the list. Basically gotta finish the series before the end of October also found some VTM games and because I've been denied my own VTM campaign I figured this would grant me the fix of vampire content I need and add more horror-themed games to the list for October.

I was hoping to have another platinum to show but have been doing overtime and taking care of my family. Made some progress with 13 Sentinels and picking off miscellaneous trophies in Uncharted. I think one day I had free to game I spent chasing after ps5 pre-orders (thankfully secured myself one!!!). Love seeing everyone crushing it, LFG

 

Superliminal was a ton of fun and is as close to a spiritual successor to Portal as I've played. Really great puzzle game, not as in your face funny but has a ton of charm and personality and the different levels feel very distinct and stretch the concept the further you go. Highly, highly recommend but do be warned that speedrunning in under 30 minutes trophy is no joke at all. That's very fast and I just wrapped up going for like 5 hours to get it down to 29:30 and I had some lucky moments. 

 

House of The Dead: Overkill is just good light gun fun and there's not much to say about that other than it's a blast. 

 

Revenge of Shinobi has no business being so fucking hard. Seriously, this game is kicking my ass and I think I'm pretty decent at the old school arcade-style games. This one is brutal but... I might bend but a game always breaks ?? Let's get an F in chat for that am I right?

Finishing Stories, Not Trophy Lists

 

Since my last update I made a lot of progress in Re;Birth1+ and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation. For Re;Birth1+, I finished the main story, got the normal ending and leveled most of the characters to level 100. I still have to do a quick new game plus run through the story for the true ending, "recruit" the 4 characters I'm missing and do the terrible grind for 100 million credits. The 100 million credit grind will probably go a little faster this time since the characters can be leveled past 99 without DLC. In Re;Birth3, I got all the endings and raised all the lily ranks I need. I still have some post-game content, leveling everyone up to level 99, Stella's Dungeon  and the long grind to 100 million credits. 

 

I did something I never do and added a whole new game to the list, Arc of Alchemist. I have played the game for 1 hour and already have 18%. It's probably an early game trophy burst.

I've finished the online part of the challenges by successfully staying away from the game for most of the week.

Hardest challenge I've ever had.

After completing the challenge I've backed up my save to USB and into the PS+ cloud, if I'm not mistaken I now have a save with online completed and nothing glitched.

That should protect me from the server shutdown I hope.

 

I've also continued the story further and explored the world, cleaning up the scavenger locations.

Unlocked the 10k scrap trophy, made the game so much easier when I was finally able to upgrade my character.

I admit, that leaving the story for more than a week isn't smart, I'm kinda lost again. Reached the third stronghold and now I have to go to Gastown already

Can someone tell me in what region the setting is? My guess would be a dried out San Francisco, I think I found the ruins of the golden gate bridge.

Made some side quest progess with @Fnee2000, and let me tell you a story...

This cheating jerk... we've been collecting the light bulbs from the bridge in the slums, wanting to do the jump into the water during the night trophy on the way...

So we're climbing up, collection the bulbs, going higher checking for collectibles on top...

RL sucks atm and it's nothing that's just going to vanish soon, BUT that shouldn't be a reason to cut out a thing I can enjoy and share with others.

Update 4 - 9/28/2020

I finished off Alphadia early in the week for plat #4 of the challenge, then jumped between Avengers and Shovel Knight. I beat Shovel Knight for the first time and got most of the easy trophies out of the way. I'll be working on the harder trophies this week and will hopefully get the platinum done. Then I can chip away at the DLC while focusing on other games.

 

I started Hotshot Racing on Saturday as part of the trophy hunting day event. It's a very fun arcade racer, but unfortunately it looks like the 2 gold trophies in it are bugged right now. I also couldn't find any online races at all, which could make 3 other trophies tricky. But I'm sticking with it for now, and if the trophies are still bugged in a few months I'll swap it out for something short and easy.

 

Week 5 plans

 

-Get the platinum for Shovel Knight

-Keep grinding Avengers and Hotshot Racing

-Start Resident Evil on the 1st

-Try not to get too derailed by Genshin Impact

Update with nothing really to talk about. I only got 3 Trophies from Peggle 2. And got a strange feeling to play something really stressless, so I started Train Sim World (not on my list) and stuck with it for the whole week. with the fear of getting the profile bug again I will continue it until the trophies wont pop anymore.

Started Days Gone tonight.

DG will probbly be my main game for the rest of october.

With a bit of attenion given to UMvC3 on the side.

 

Log 012:

UMvC3-

Tonight wasnt a great start, 1st off I hoped on and saw that Woverines 10th mission was not competed.

Seems the game didnt award me the mission even tho I clearly did it.?

Thankfully it only took me 10mins to correct that tiny bit of bullshit. 

I must be really improving on my inputs tho, cus I was really strugging with this very same mission last week. lol

I also took a hr to clear all of Ryu's missions.

Overall his were pretty simple(not easy, just simple)

I hear from the FGC that his are normally on the easier side.

So that means the worst may yet to come. ?

 

 

Days Gone-

I think this game has the quickist and most who gives a freakers ass set up for the world building ever seen in a zombie game.

You spend maybe 10mins seting up that the world is under segie from a viai infection, see the main characters(and I guess plot point)

The game is like, yep here the world.

Its destoryed, burren, and very dangous.

I kinda like it tho, after all 10005357 zombie games we had over the last 10years, its nice to have a game just get right to the point for a change. lol

 

Now in trems how my exp is going, well...I find the game differnt, thats for sure.

Its ooen world with zombies, witch those two are beyond done to death these days.

But combining then does leads to some rather intresting gameplay.

I like how you need to find scap and gas to keep your bike going.

So if it brakes down or runs low on fuel.

You gotta walking dead your way into a small town or outpost to savage for surplies.

It can make for intnese moments, so even tho its a tad annyoing, Im gonna try to keep a open mind and see what the folks at bend studios were trying to chaft here.
