Ok thanks, then i have decided on my games i want to complete. My first tier will be the following PS4 games:

 

1. Red Dead Redemption 2 (2,31%)

2. The Forest (4,41%)

3. PUBG (1,11%)

4. Batman Arkham City (9,91% but 2 UR DLC trophies)

5. Lovers in a dangerous spacetime (3,49%)

Well i have a friend i'm playing online coop together and i think it's a solid game. We walk through this norse mythology based off world, hack & slash through other norse tribes and lots of monsters including ice and fire giants.

Some dialogue lines are really stupid (like i'm the chieftain of a village but i receive quests from others and just want to kill everybody and anybody) ut we're laughing at that so i'm having a good time. Biggest problem is that only the host gets the trophies for completing a playthrough but everything else unlocks as expected.

 

The only advantage of playing (online) coop is that we completed the game twice on Easy, Easy NG+ and saw that we can combine a Hero on highest difficulty in Valhalla Mode (which is Permadeath) with a hero on easy in Normal Mode. My friend created a new hero for high difficulty + Valhalla and i kill the low lv enemies (lv 1 to 30) with my lv 60 hero from Easy NG+ not Valhalla Mode. Once we're done we'll change heroes and do it again, he'll use his lv 60 hero and i a lv 1

My progress with Tier 1 is slow but Days Gone is done. The challenges weren't that bad at all. With the right strategies (and video guides), everything was very doable. Onto next game!

Difficulty : 4/10 

 

First game of my second tier completed. In terms of pure atmosphere and tension this game is a masterpiece really, its even more impressive that there's no cheap jump scare tactics just brilliant sound, grotesque visuals and a damn good soundtrack. It's a top down survival horror game where you scavenge by day but need to go back to base by night time where you'll fend off all sorts of fucked up creatures. While doing so you're completely In the dark with the exception of your lamp but what makes all of this intense is that you're essentially clueless as to what's coming your way or going on around you but can certainly hear all of it. Your character is deliberately slow with rather low health as well and you can only see what's in front of you if you're directly looking at it with a flashlight, that last part sounds like a gimmick right? This adds to the tension in moments when you think you're at peace but the sound makes you think otherwise and you're constantly looking behind your back or even when you're getting swarmed from multiple angles and want to find a way out of that situation. There's your typical survival affair with crafting and managing your inventory as well as a twisted story with some odd characters so it's not all about just endless survival. Some of the tension and dread gets lost once you're better equipped with guns towards the end though. Highly recommend this one if you're into indies or survival horror, make sure to play this one with a headset. 

 

Difficulty wise it's nothing ultra rare worthy and certainly won't stay so but since it currently is I decided to just toss it in my second tier. There's a learning curve as the game doesn't hold your hands whatsoever but that's about it. 

 

Next I'll likely be playing either Jamestown or Max payne 3.

Phew, the third KoF game I completed in this cleanup challenge. This was the first KoF game I played back in 2009, so I had a bit of nostalgia going back to this game even with all of it's flaws. I personally think the gameplay and graphics still hold up, especially given the fact I cleaned up KoF XIII and KoF XIV earlier this year and have a fresh memory of both of those games for a comparison. I love the pixel art in this game and it provided as the genesis for the work that would go into making KoF XIII a contender for best fighting game visuals I've ever seen.

 

A glaring omission of Mai Shiranui was probably the biggest mistake they done with this game as I would say she is the most popular female SNK character. She is SNK's Chun-Li. A lack of stages, small roster (for a KoF game) and lack of any meaningful offline modes hurt this games chances of ever competing with the juggernaut that was SF IV at the time of it's release. Also, the AI in this game is atrocious. It just isn't coded properly, it just does random pokes/normal's even when it is nowhere near the human player. The AI is straight busted in this game and it makes for a very poor experience playing it offline.

 

Sadly online no longer allows for creation of lobbies meaning the platinum is unobtainable. A very straightforward set of trophies for completing Arcade mode with each character without losing remained, this was no problem at all once I remembered how easy it is to just do a basic jump kick into sweep works well enough against the cast...except Athena. I hate fighting Athena in this game, the AI spams her close range fireball which has long active frames and makes it difficult to use characters such as grapplers who have no fireballs to zone her out.

 

Lastly, the Perfect Fighter trophy which requires you to KO every character in Arcade Mode using all of the characters was an unnecessary grind. I hate these kind of trophies from back in the early PS3 era. Trophies that have a long grind with no form of stat tracking so you got to do it yourself allowing room for human error in the process. That happened to me, as I had a checklist of all the characters I had beaten and when I got round to the last fight on my checklist, no trophy popped. I had to face the prospect of redoing the entire cast of characters again, bear in mind that 1 Arcade run only has 15 character fights, so the rest of the characters are random if they would appear in the next run with the characters I'm working on for the KOs. I only had to do 6 more Arcade runs when I unexpectedly got the trophy by beating Elizabeth with Robert. I double checked my checklist to see if I did miss it and no, it was there, ticked off already. So i have no idea what happened there to be honest. I'm just glad I didn't have to do the bear minimum amount of runs to find the character I missed which would have been another 44 Arcade runs!

 

...And with that, Tier 2 is all done! Nothing too hard but games like RAGE and KOF XII were on my mind for a while so it feels good to finally cross them off the trophy backlog.

 

Tier 3

 

1. Battle Fantasia (0.60%) 28%

2. Dead or Alive 5 (0.51%) 97%

3. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (4.36%) 61%

4. Rez Infinite (3.47%) 6%

5. Sonic Mania (1.78%) 19%

 

DOA5 is the only concerning game on this tier. The rarity speaks for itself and when I clear it, it will be my rarest trophy. It's been sitting at 97% for over a year due to an extremely difficult (cheap) survival mode but I know I have it in me to do it and make this my 'Vanquish - Tactical Challenger' moment of 2021.

Ok, THAT I did not know. I mean I heard KoFXII is widely disliked, but not adding Mai? Really?

Maybe they needed that extra "bounce" and they didn't have time to finish it, reason why she appeared in KoFXIII

It's like removing Chun-Li from Street Fighter 3 and adding her in later in Third Strike. Glad SNK saw sense and brought back Mai with KoF XIII.

 

I Started the offline in Battle Fantasia today. The grind in Battle Fantasia Story mode for every character is exactly like the Story mode character stuff in BlazBlue CS/CSE requiring multiple playthroughs with each character to get their individual 100% for the gallery. Will take up the most time in the platinum journey.

This is well cool and I'm giving some serious thought to getting involved. I'm new to trophy hunting so I'm not sure whether I'd be able to get 5 UR Platinums. I'm going to look for some games that fit the criteria and if I feel they're manageable for me given that we're already well into the year, then I'll post back and sign up. If that's OK?

 

I've just gotten my first UR Platinum with Thumper. Wish I knew about this event beforehand haha! I played quite a few "tough" games on Switch before I got a PlayStation but after looking at their Trophy lists on here, unfortunately they're not UR. Cuphead for example. Probably not as "tough" as I thought lol.

Just a little info about this event @KindaSabbath. It's not only about UR but also about games with no and even games with no UR  but UR dlc trophy/trophies

 

I finished for example Call of Juarez Gunslinger and Anodyne with have no plat but less than 5% completion. Yu-Gi-Oh Millennium Duels will follow soon.

First thing that springs to mind regarding tough DLC is Dishonored Definitive Edition. My son was going for the 'By My Hand Alone' achievement for a long time. He says it should be pretty rare. Also saw somebody in this thread mention Days Gone. I reckon I could put 5 together with a mixture of 's and 100% some tougher Dlc's. Not sure where to start in regards to looking for games without a

So I decided to wrap up my first tier with it and leave Shift 2 to be the first game of tier 2 along with Max Payne 3.

I would suggest to have a look at the spreadsheet that you can find in the OP. There you'll find all of the participants lists, so maybe you'll come across a game or two that you can add to your list

just a weekly update: 

after playing with this for a few days I'm pretty close to getting the platinum only thing left for me is reach level 100 I'm currently 83,run-through classic battle with 11 characters, and finish getting a few stars on 13 missions  . I should be able to get this plat in a day or 2 hopefully
