Capcom confirms more Resident Evil remakes are coming

Remake RE5 with no coop and more horror like the original version. I don't think they will remake code vera because of the villain

I hope its code veronica because that game is a great one, but yeah, it needs some updated into many things

Honestly, never really liked Code Veronica and in terms of its place in the overall story, it matters very little. 5 seems the most likely candidate but 0 would be a nice surprise

I think the real dream, for me, would be for them to "remake" (or... I guess... make) Resident Evil 1.5, in the new engine.

 

They've long acknowledged that the fans know plenty about what it was going to be - up to and including the Elza Walker outfit for Claire in RE2...

...but they'd have full freedom to craft a new story, while still being in the "fan favourite", "remake" zone...

...and get to acknowledge a bit of RE history in the process.

It would be hilarious if they name it "Resident Evil Remake: Remake" lol, but I doubt it'll happen. They already hinted RE5.

 

Also, they hinted Zero with a picture of Rebecca and it never happened!? I'd love if they remake that game.

 

Lastly, it's a remaster if it's the same game with 4k textures, and a remake if it's from scratch. We don't need name specialists every thread.

They really just need to remake old Outbreak games, they were ahead of its time. But new players can't stand tank controls and just love 3rd person boring behind shoulder camera as every other game has.

I mean it would be pretty cool if they mixed Code Veronica and Resident Evil 5 into some sort of Frankenstein's monster of a remake. It might help to cover each game's weaknesses and make something new. By the way, I know I'm mad and it'll never happen.

The only remake i'm waiting for is  Resident Evil 3 remake while GameCube's remake of Resident Evil is the best remake.

They've remastered TLoU on PS4. Did that stop Sony from remastering a remaster again? TLoU has 5 games, while 3 of them being remasters. 

 

Since RE3R is a joke compared to the original RE3, was rushed and outsourced, i'm waiting for another one, without cut out content and bs mp mode.

I would suspect that both Code Veronica and 5 remakes are coming and maybe soon after each other if different teams work on them. Code Veronica was never a game I had much love for and getting the 100% on the HD PS3 edition solidified my contempt for it, never bothered with the PS4 port as a result; however, if they can rework it so that the story and gameplay are on par with RE2 and 4 remakes then maybe it can be something special.

Really curious to see what a 5 remake would change; I think the gameplay doesn't need a massive overhaul, just tweaks to match the smoothness of the other remakes, but the story and characters could, ah...use some work. Hope Wesker sounds better too.

The 2019 remake was pretty dire. Lacked the story and atmosphere of the original

i'd prefer some Dino crisis tbh, but it would be interesting to get the light gun style RE games in vr, apart from that cant think of any others atm.

Would like a remake of 0, as I play inverted controls and the original did not have that option, unless I missed it somehow.  Got off the train but not much further as eventually the backwards controls for me got to be too much.

I'm hoping it'll be Code Veronica. I won't say it's my favorite of the bunch or anything but Claire is my favorite RE character since OG 2, so more Claire is always good to me.

RE 5 remake ? that's dumb in my opinion, it doesn't need a remake, they already remastered it to ps4, capcom ran out of ideas and started remaking RE left and right desperately trying to make this series alive, enough of those remakes they've done a great job already.

But yeah one last remake i'd like to see Code Veronica, or maybe those spin offs from the ps2 other than that no need.
