#70 - Grim Fandango - Played exclusively on the PSVita

 

I'd played this game back in the early 2,000s on PC so knew exactly what I was getting into.  The game itself is a pretty easy platinum once you follow a guide as some of the trophies need you to follow specific dialogue options to get characters to say certain phrases.  I have to say Manny is what brought me back to the game, I really liked his character years ago and playing again now I still loved his dry whit.

 

Overall some of the puzzles are down right crazy and a bit frustrating in parts.  The tank controls are a bit of pain but if I have to be honest after 10 minutes of playing I got use to them.

 

Enjoyment 7/10 Difficultly 2/10.

 

Can't wait for Day of the Tentacle (due in early 2016 last I checked) and eventually Full Throttle once its released.  God I cannot wait for Full Throttle!

Wow, this one was a challenge for me but I had a great TIME with it. The time mechanic took a bit to get used to, causing much of my early frustration, but once it clicked STFU was such a fun and interesting game. It's like playing a co-op game with yourself, adding some strategy and planning to a chaotic, over-the-top action game. I'm all about ridiculousness and silly puns in my video games so this was totally up my alley. The Helladeck levels were definitely the hardest part, and I breezed through Super Hardcore Mode after finishing all those. This is my 6th UR plat, so thanks to PS Plus for that

This may not be my most rare platinum, but I think this is my most proud platinum. The story was great! I did Hardcore (You die = you start the whole story over) legit (Didn't use a back up save) and finished it on the first try. Multiplayer was a massive grind, but actually playing a shooter for once on MP was very enjoyable. I haven't had this much fun on a shooter MP game since Black Ops 1. If you haven't played this game yet, do so!!!

I love the middle-earth movies so I'm very was disappointed with some of the "Lord of the Rings" titles likes "Conquest" and "War in the North" on PS3,   I even like "The Third Age" on PS2 more than those two mention above.  "Shadow of Mordor" really is the BEST Middle-earth games I had ever play.

The story begin in lightning pace and in a blinks of eyes I was deep into the story.  I think it should do more introduction to character and take thing slowly. The main characters is easily forgotten once I completed the story and the only character that remains deep in my memories is the dwarf, an non-playable character he's very interesting and is funny but there is some unforgettable past in him btw the voice acting for dwarf is pretty awesome. 

 

The biggest selling point for this game is of course the nemesis systems and that where I really really enjoyed. I won't go into detail as this have been introduce a lot by developer before the game is launch.  The combat button input is almost the same as Batman series and the combo system is more forgiven than the Bat's although the enemies types is only a few but that doesn't dim the fun factor in this game. 

 

Camera angle is all action combat game nightmare this one is no exception.  The bushes is the only complain I have on this games. Sometimes the fight broke out around the bushes area and the foot soldiers will wander into the green thing and I'll get suck into the fight there and with the camera problem then I'll having hard time seeing where is that dude. 

 

There is sweet story behind this game cause it's was my baby nephew choose the game for me, guess what?  He is only 4 months old when the game was brought and don't ask me how he do it.   Thank you Baby Zack Love U always. I really really enjoyed this game to the fullest.

Didn't know much of this game as I'm not really a PC gamer cause it's a expensive hobbies so there is lot of games released out there that I do not even know except Football Manager. 

 

My first impression in this classic remastered is the way the story begin with straightway into the first cut-scene I'm already getting my first laugh in this game and I was thinking the rest of the story will get even more interesting when I go deeper into the story.  Well..well...I wasn't disappointed as I have ton of laughter during every "walking dead" or "demon" I talk to or meet and even the thing I was gonna to do also make me wanna to laugh out LOUD. 

 

Gameplay is like point and click with puzzles and there a lot of talking to do.  Now as for puzzles it's really hard without using a guide and I have lost count how many times I had to peek through my magic tablets only to said this will be the last time I'll be looking at and every times the last will turn into next time. Wish I have a better brain cell to solve all those stuff. 

 

I can't complain much about the graphics because it's was from early PC game they just remastered the game and make the control better if I'm not wrong but one trophy requirement is to play the entire game in so call "Tank" control I think it's the original control from PC version. 

 

Once again have to THANKS PlayStation Plus for the wonderful Free games in January 2016.

An interesting game in concept, and it was fun for a while. Unfortunately, the campaign on the hardest difficulty is a slog to get through, heavily relying on you waiting for several minutes for rift barrels to respawn between checkpoints, so you can stock up on rift to fill your base with buildings. If you don't, it's likely you'll find yourself in an unwinnable situation next checkpoint, and have to restart the whole chapter again since the game loves giving you objectives where you have to defend something from swarms of enemies. Barren servers don't help either. Not really too hard of a plat, just an annoying experience from start to finish.

  # 57 - BLAZBLUE CHRONOPHANTASMA EXTEND (VITA)

 

Im really glad thats finally over though its a shame i couldnt popped it for the PRD since the challenges took some time. But I was slacking a little for every cleared challenge . One thing that bugs me that I couldnt execute certain moves even though their simple to do. Like I can do a special mode on arcade but on a challenge while using the same character its not performed. To make it weirder if I perform the that special move in a different challenge it works but on certain ones they don't. To add it all up I had some tough time doing it but had that gut feeling I could do it with no probs since I did platted CS Extend. This one feels a bit harder though..

I really enjoyed my time with this game but it was a lot shorter than I was hoping. I thought the art design was really nice and the level variety kept it quite interesting. My only complaint is that the Chapter 2 boss was significantly harder than the rest of the game.

Woohoo my 5th Plat this month/year

Very easy, very quick (~10h) and very enjoyable Plat. If you are into story-heavy games and haven't played a Telltale Series game before, try it. I only played Tales from the Borderlands before and I loved both.

Just kick back and enjoy the great story. After you're done with the final episode, check where and how you can get your missing Fable entries (collectables) and go through chapter select to get them.

Quick and easy, there's not really more to say about this Plat. Perhaps the funny Plat picture as mentioned 7-8 posts above

The game was a breeze to plat having already platted it on the PS3. Now i'm trying to tackle dlc. Did most of the hard parts and now all  need is to boost to lvl 50.

#179 Life Is Strange. I was actually quite impressed with this game. It had a great story, decent graphics and overall just very enjoyable. You play as Max Caulfield, an emo looking photographer at a fancy art school. You see a girl get shot in the girl's restroom and try to save her which is when you figure out you can reverse time. And from there is a bunch of twists and turns which basically has to do with the butterfly effect. Change one thing, change everything. The game plays out pretty much exactly like a TellTale style game with a couple different awesome endings. If you want a good story, check it out!

Quite surprised about this, especially for a PSP game. The gameplay was fun, had me hooked from the very beginning I wish the story was longer, but then again, it was a PSP game, so it's not too much of a big deal. Also, Fuck you Machina
