Popular Post Darghel
#62: Just another day at the office (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered) Difficulty: Frustrating but doable - guides might be helpful Time to complete: Took me 2 days, I assume about 20-30 hours Recommended: Yep! So, I accidentally wanted to play the multiplayer but it would take longer so I downloaded the campaign first, while waiting for the multiplayer, and I couldn't stop there: had a lot more fun than I initially imagined and I really didn't expect this considering I'm more a fan of old school shooters like DOOM or Bioshock. However, when I did the first training part and gave me Veteran as a recommended difficulty I was like "Are you kidding? I can't even complete Titanfall 2, how can I do this game?" So, of course, I got in after hours and hours of tries on some missions - in particular One Shot, One Kill, Heat, "No fighting in the War room" and of course the all-time loved Mile High Club, I managed to complete the campaign on veteran and I was very happy about it! I didn't think I would make it and sure I had to use some tricks in some parts to get through (especially in one shot one kill and Heat) but if anything this boosted my morale on trying to complete harder games! Anyway, what else to say, it's an FPS with really linear yet satisfying shoot galleries, the weapons are kinda well done although I think it lacks some variety (I'm just used to more weapons) and difficulty spikes aside the levels were really enjoyable to do and being on Veteran I had to be extra careful...although sometimes I felt like I was playing a puzzle game: go there, WRONG, you die, repeat. Enemies sometimes won't die even if I shot in the head - or hitbox maybe screwed up - and MHC was such a mess I can't believe it passed the testing: I had no idea how I did it but the stars were aligned and enemies didn't shoot me at the end of the area before the execution took place. I don't think I could ever do this again...it was so random that I would often die right at the start, and my flashbangs would either work or completely fail! Anyway, glad it's over, time to move on the next game. I probably take a break and finish off the neptunia series now!
Popular Post Lance_87
#24 and #25: DRIVECLUB and DRIVECLUB Bikes Man, what a ride! I originally quit the game back in 2019 after completing a couple of DLC for the base game (and some Bikes trophies) and when i came back a few weeks ago i was a little rusty and almost quit it again. However, i decided not to quit the game and i got 100% on both the main game (and all DLC) and Bikes (and all DLC. ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-NINE TROPHIES! Too bad it's impossible to know how many hours i've played this game, sadly after the upcoming shutdown it'll become an "empty shell", i mean, have you ever tried playing it after disabling your internet connection? You can still play it, race, sure, but some customisation rewards will be locked out, others are too grindy to obtain at this point (i.e. the accolades for playing Challenges and Multiplayer), and of course the five Club-exclusive cars will never be usable anymore (bye bye BAC Mono), unless maybe if you stay offline, but it's a "palliative" solution at this point. Also the Club Accolades bonus will be locked out, but it's only for the Driver Level, and i'm planning to reach level 120 before the end of March (i'm at level 101 at the moment, after maxing the 12 bikes for the Weekend Warrior Trophy, i was at level 83 this morning LOL). Definitely not the easiest games i've ever played on PS4, i was really lucky in completing certain Hot Laps/Time Trials. I'm too lazy to complete the Elite levels, too... No longer here
#81: A Way Out Difficulty: 2/10 Fun: 8/10 Very entertaining game to play with a friend!! #82: VANQUISH Difficulty: 8/10 Fun: 9/10 Very unique game because of its mechanics! I can recommend this to anyone!! Though going for the platinum is very hard and requires skill and patience. But usually PlatinumGames make difficulty games to platinum in general (Revengeance, Bayonetta).
Popular Post Draps-1337
# 38 Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed (Vita) #39 InFamous First Light #40 InFamous Second Son Finally got around to playing the PS4 InFamous games this weekend, gaining another 2 easy platinum throphies. The movement is these games are really smooth (mostly) and were pretty fun to navigate the world with. (At first I thought those arena's in First Light were going to be the end of me. But it turned out to be fine if you take your time.) Akiba's Trip was a journey, The game presents itself as a hack and slash, however the harder difficulties prove that the game is more of a counter & attack game. The slog of 4 playthroughs to get all the endings definitely started to wear on me after playing the game on the train for two weeks.

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #494: Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 15-20 hours Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Don't have all that much to say at present as my final opinion of the game is still vacillating and germinating even now, weeks after. Words fail to convey my experience to my satisfaction. Suffice to say, it had a not inconsiderable impact on me, emotionally; like the first season, but in many different ways. It is a different manifestation of the same basic ethos. I applaud the developers for eschewing formula and managing to maintain the heart of what made the first season so good in the face of a starkly different setting and approach. In a world where a majority of developers come across as timid and resistant towards change, Dontnod are nothing less than brave. Things such as this are made to be experienced, not dissected like a biology class frog, so my blathering on is futile. In summation... play it, and may you walk away from it a better and more empathetic person the same way I did.
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum 206 & 207 Bayonetta [PS3 & PS4] Acquire All Trophies Acquire All Trophies Plat icon is really ugly tbh, shame... and now acutal name for it. my excitement to get these both was cut really fucking short when the PS4 version didn't pop the Infinite Climax trophy when I beat the game. The issue with this was for chapters on normal and hard. I got to the final section of the PS4 version and quit to title so I'd be ready to catch up on PS3 (was extremely behind on catching up on that one). But I was minutes away, had both credits rolling. So what would've been minutes apart is now an hour, because it took me that long to figure out what to do to fix it. Vanquish got a patch already on PS4, two I think, I don't know why this hasn't. First tried to replay Chapter VII boss as that's what popped the glitched normal/hard chapter trophies, didn't work. Thought maybe quitting to title was the issue so beat the prologue again. After the tediously long credits again, nope... look it up and most people don't talk about this one just the other two, but the first few mentions are to replay the first 0-3 chapters, one says 5... finally find someone say to replay Chapter 3, and that worked. What a fucking pain in the ass and a way to really bring me off my high. I'll get over that, but it's really fucking annoying they can't get shit to work right for something that's tracked in multiple ways. Using a weapon you get for beating climax mode without having gotten the trophy, looking at my overall [bronze lol] stats of the difficulty. It's just annoying, have secondary triggers for this shit or something. Or just launch something that actually works. Speaking of works... let's talk about the version differences. My opinions on the PS3 version have both improved and gotten worse at the same time. PS3: The notorious framerate was worse than I remember. I don't know if I'm just used to noticing drops and the painfully slow aspects [like the halos dropping] or if playing it while also playing it on PS4 made them all more noticeable, but man it chugs at times. However, the loading times aren't nearly as bad as I remember them being. They're still kind of annoying, especially how long it takes to manually save [which granted isn't even necessary], and I've changed the worst section from that place with floating platforms all around you to the epilogue going up a rocket because that is so dreadful. I stand by thinking if this was the only way to ever play the game that it's still worth playing. It's just way better if you can play it elsewhere. I honestly found it more annoying to use the DS3's R2 button. Found it far more difficult to dodge on PS3 with that mushy ass button. I used to not mind it, but after using PS4 so much and it being on something important it's quite noticeable. PS4: Other than the glitched trophies that have me mad at the moment, it's great. The rest is just about the game. I think the game has more noticeable problems than I remember. Mainly the camera, certain areas it's just dreadful and flinging all over the place. Like when on a plane like the prologue. And my god the bike and missile sections are so painful due to the camera. Bayonetta's body is literally in the way of your view on the bike you can't see where the fuck you're going or what to shoot, you're just holding down fire and hoping for the best plowing into everything because you can't see shit. If they had just moved the camera up a bit or put it at a slight angle down, or pulled it back some more [like a single turn in the chapter where the bridge breaks off near the end, but that's a bit far back so I can see why it's not that far back]. Similar issue with the missile. It's just in the way, you can't see shit. lol replaying those levels so many times back to back was a nightmare. And for some reason in my infinite wisdom I added an unncessary one on PS3 to play very easy. ._. Let's see... I played (not in order); Normal PS4 > Normal Collectable PS4 > Hard PS4 > Infinite Climax PS4 > Very Easy PS3 > Normal Collectable PS3 > Hard PS3 > Infinite Climax PS3. Playing though 8 times in the span of time I've been playing is way too fucking much. I'm surprised I wasn't sick of it before the end of the 7th playthrough. I mainly dreaded a few specific sections like the missile, bike, and two levels after the Route 666 chapter. And of course Jeanne. And that doesn't count a few necessary level replays thanks to PS4 trophy glitches... or just missing a chest [thankfully I was able to find out which one exactly but it was at the end of Chapter 3.... *sigh* couldn't be at the start.] Another noteable issue is when you go into witch time and have platforming moving from platform to platform with "x". This can sometimes not work properly. I can't tell you how many times I've manually jumped trying to get the qte jump to register and this was an issue I had on both PS3/PS4, so it's just the design of the game. It's a bit harder on PS3 though given the framerate. Aside from that though, man is it fun. Not fun enough to play it 8+ times in the span of... 8 days without getting a bit exhausted by it, imagine that... I don't know what's wrong with me, but I felt really motivated for once to earn some plats. And some pretty challenging ones. I think I made it harder than it had to be solely because I ended up having tons of items at the end that I didn't need. I'd often strategically die just to go at a fight with full health + my revive item. When I probably would've been fine to just heal and move on. But hey, I did manage to beat 5 claw assholes on Infinite Climax without taking damage. That's a huge deal for me as they usually destroy me. Oh though, the flying serpant enemies are such a pain in the ass. Sometimes they just won't fall out of the sky so they just tank your weak ass ranged damage forever and make things even more annoying to go through. One thing I never tired of was keeping a cutscene going just to get a bit of that Bayonetta personality or the amazing soundtrack, or the one Angel who really really liked Cereza. I found it funny all 8 times. Overall great game, not perfect. If not for being burned out, and I think that has more to do with the PS4 version fucking up on me like that as I was really invigorated before that... I'd try to wrap up Bayonetta 2, I just dislike playing games on the Wii U. It's such a lame controller and I'm not rewarding Nintendo by buying an actual controller and never again will I buy a console from them until I know it has enough games to justify it so I don't want a Switch either. Maybe I'll look up a watch through and catch the story, what was there was pretty cool. Especially one moment which surprised me. I'm probably going to take a break for awhile. Despite items, the game is still pretty damn challenging and it took a lot out of me to beat it on normal, let alone hard and infinite climax... plus extra. Oof. And those damn Alfeim challenges. Some of those are just annoying as shit... I'm already feeling a bit better about finally earning two Bayonetta platinums. Honestly I'm fine now. Looking at my profile and it took me over 10 years to platinum Bayonetta. A game I never thought I had the skill to do at all. Yet here were are. And I got two of them~ I think 10 years is a new record for me. Yeah I'm over it now. lol edit; forgot about the QTEs, they suck. There's too many, they use too many different button combinations for the actions so you can't really remember it based on that you just have to remember which it is every separate instance. And for some if you don't remember you won't have enough time to mash and win... looking at you Jeanne qtes, but with those you can just dodge instead so it's not a huge deal but man my fingers are tired from all the button mashing and my controllers are probably crying between all the qtes and dodging on R2. Also I find it weird that the PS3 version is "BAYONETTA" while PS4 is "Bayonetta" on PSN. On a similar note, I like the game's banner on PS3 better than the logo on PS4. Oh and the costumes were neat, liked the old, queen, and the d'Arc [Jeanne's outfit] was my favorite one. pinkrobot_pb
Platinum number 111 is a game I started 6 and a half years ago: Medal of Honor on the PS3! I managed to boost the dreaded Fire Controller trophy some months ago but needed to git gud (well slightly better than mediocre) to level up a class to level 15 online. It was slightly frustrating playing on US servers in a game without any antilag measures and serious team balancing issues, but the sector control game mode can be enjoyable as long as teams are not too big. When the trophy popped I did leave mid-game, because not a second more should be spent online than absolutely necessary Next step was completing all the levels on Tier 1 this weekend and if it was not for the frequent game-breaking glitches that could have been very enjoyable. You need to rush to beat the timer, but when you do you will often get ahead of objectives and the mission will just stall. Sigh... After finishing up some misc trophies yesterday the platinum is finally mine. All in all it's not a very good game. For some reason I became determined to plat it and now that I have I will probably never play it again.
Popular Post Gommes_
Street Fighter X Tekken #108 Zenith This one was in my shelve for a really long time. I even thought I never will platinum it, since I didn't want to do the online part. But when I read up on it I figured out that almost all of the trophies are not that bad, just tedious. And even the tedious part can be done with turbo controllers, so it's really not that bad. Besides fighting Akuma in mission #19 of course. This one was tough! Anyway I really, really liked this game even though I have the feeling that I only touched the surface. Yes, the lousy DLC implementation sucks and it's a shame that you don't have all the characters even though they are on the disc. But the rest of the game just feels good and it's a lot of fun to fight with these mechanics. Cross Arts are just so satisfying . Popular Post Juzota
#131 - Owlboy The Owlboy Get all the game trophies I have two positive things to say about this game. One of them is the art style. I really like how this game looks. Another positive thing is that for some reason I didn't have to get all the collectibles for trophies to pop. Not sure what happened, but I'm very glad it did. Rest of the experience wasn't that enjoyable. This is by far the worst game I've played in years. Controls were abysmal and I thought my PS4 controller was actually broken so I switched to another, but it didn't help at all. The final level was pure hell, because I couldn't figure out how to do the high jump. Sometimes it did work like I planned, but most of the time it didn't and Owlboy started to flap his stupid wings when I didn't want it to do. I still don't have a clue what I did wrong. I'm amazed I didn't break anything in my house while raging through the last level. There was also one really frustrating minigame, but rest of the game was really easy. Easy, but extremely boring. Next I need to play something that is actually fun to play. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 2/10

The Ai is incredibly bad, but at least the whole crashing issues seem to have been fixed by now. The item grind is fucking absurd and has the worst item drop generation I've ever seen in a video game. That shit has got to go in the 3rd game, or I'm not buying it. Popular Post Intoner_Zero
Plat #140: Far Cry 3 Classic Edition Besides playing Blood Dragon, this is the first FC main entry game I've tried and it was a pretty enjoyable experience. You can get by on Easy Mode as there's, thankfully, no difficulty trophy. List is pretty standard with story points, achieving some specific objectives/combat moves, and collectables. I know many people gripe about the driving in this game, and it's warranted. Just don't make hard turns and make use of the braking, you'll be fine traveling (hopefully). So yeah, you're some second coming of Jesus on this island by way of skill tattoos so that you can get rid of the island's menaces, pirates and drug lords, while also liberating areas for the Rakyat people. I've always heard/seen the Vaas memes and he's indeed an interesting character; so much so that when you go up against Hoyt later it feels like a letdown lol. Even secondary characters like Hurk, Sam, and Buck were very amusing. There's FC5 waiting for me in backlog, if I like that too then I'll look into getting 4, Primal, and New Dawn~
Popular Post Viper
#185 Life is Strange 2 All Roads Traveled I was a little worried about this after the first episode...I was a bit bored by it as it didn't tug the heart strings like it was aiming for. But man oh man does it pick up after that. Episodes 2 and 3 are amazing, playing out like a really good Netflix show...episodes 4 and 5 are good too, but they're a bit of a come down after 3's big climax. And based on the ending I chose, I got bad ass scene there at the end.Overall, I widely prefer this game to the first one. The characters are more relatable, the story is tense and intriguing, more action heavy. However I am a LITTLE disappointed with the ending...I convinced myself something would happen or "someone" would show up and happen to tie into the first game more (as there's really only a couple of vague references in episode 1)...but it didn't happen, at least not with my ending.
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #54 - DOOM 3 (PS4) Difficulty Rating 6/10 Enjoyment Rating 8/10 Very Rare - 5.56% Fastest Achievers - #3 As much as I never look forward to it, I always find myself returning to DOOM 3 one way or another. It’s considered the black sheep of the franchise with it’s slower paced combat and bigger approach to horror and jump scares. However, this time I found myself gathering a newfound appreciation for it. This new port plays like an absolute dream compared to it’s awful PS3 counterpart. Load times are cut down by 95%. What used to take a whole 60 seconds (no exaggeration) now only takes about 4 or 5 seconds. The frame rate stays consistent now and won’t chug in the heaviest of firefights. While BFG Edition on PS3 came with less than stellar ports of DOOM I & II, they are no longer present here along with the trophies requiring you go to beat them on Ultra Violence difficulty. The multiplayer for DOOM 3 is also absent in this version, making your platinum journey solely a campaign experience. But it’s still not without it’s design flaws, for this is merely a butchered BFG Edition that plays infinitely better for a console port. We can’t lie to ourselves. DOOM 3 is a campaign experience and always will be. That being said, you get the main campaign along with Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission expansions. Much like the PS3 version, you are required to beat these on Nightmare difficulty. But you can’t select that difficulty until you beat each campaign at least once, making the already bloated campaigns even more bloated than they have to be. Altogether, that’s 6 playthroughs you have to suffer with. You might have to do even more if by chance you miss a collectible on one of your two playthroughs on each campaign. There is no mission select either, you have to get them all in a single playthrough! Each level is the same metal corridors over and over and over again, so you’re bound to grow tired really fast. It’s not till you get to the Hell levels where the game truly shines. You have unlimited sprint and plenty of open space to fight demons, just like a DOOM game should be. Across all three campaigns are only 4 Hell levels. If only there was a lot more, this game would have a little more variety going for it. But the art direction is top notch, and good art is something that never ages. I dare say that I actually prefer the lore and characters of DOOM 3 over DOOM 2016. But that doesn’t make it the better game, and I would easily choose DOOM 2016 over DOOM 3 any day of the week. The gameplay in DOOM 2016 blows it’s predecessor out of the water. I’m certain DOOM 3 is no longer canon now that DOOM 64 links with DOOM 2016. Let’s be real, DOOM 64 is the true DOOM 3 anyway Being your resident DOOM expert, this version was optimized properly for me to play like an absolute beast. I was able to make #3 in fastest achievers for a game I always dread playing. That tells you how good this port is. If you haven’t played DOOM 3 yet, now is a good time to do so. Not a great platinum journey by any means, but certainly worth experiencing at least once. As for me, I’m eagerly waiting for the release of DOOM 64 on PS4 (March 20th, 2020) ?
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
Platinum #27 Bioshock 2 (and 100%) Enjoyment: 8 Difficulty: 5 Here we are in Rapture City for the 2nd adventure. The first game always gets a lot of praise but I hear very little about the 2nd game. To admit I found the story is a bit weaker than the first game. But that is the only thing that is worse compared to the first. This game has yet again an awesome design... and some very creepy horror elements to it. I really dig the vibe where they went for. The gameplay improved upon the first. You can now record and kill at the same time which is a nice addition. There is also a large amount of weapons to choose from and many Plasmids that are very fun to use. There are also a ton of great gene tonics that allows for multiple playstyles. The trophy list is a little bit annoying because of all the missables. I am never a fan of a trophy list with a lot of missables, so at first glance it scared me a little. Making sure I keep track of everything listed in the trophy guide it was not so bad. Some missables were even hard to miss and with following the video for the collectibles it was a breeze. Another bonus is that you are only required to collect 100 out of the 126 audio diaries so even if you don't collect them all you can still obtain the trophy. Another plus that there are no trophies for Multiplayer, as there is no MP for the PS4 version. I never played the PS3 version but I heard it can get pretty grindy so I am happy to see a Singleplayer list as that is what I tend to like the most. I started with an easy run grabbing all collectibles and missables and after that I only had to complete the game on hard which was pretty easy because I was familiar with all the plasmids, weapons and enemies. I also played through the DLC and I really enjoyed both Minerva's Den and the Protector Trials. Minerva's Den is a short expansion which added some very nice story elements. It was short and sweet. Then there was the Protector Trials which were more fun than the trials in the first game. I really enjoyed them and started to appreciate more Weapons and Plasmids because of this. I completed the Trials before tackling the Hard difficulty (as mentioned above), because of my experience with the trials it really made the Hard playthrough a joke. Overall a very lovely game which deserves more attention. I already completed Bioshock Infinite on the PC but because I really like the franchise I am sure I will do it again at some point in the future.

Popular Post Redgrave
- #175: World's Greatest Dad - Yakuza 3 Remastered My only experience prior to the remaster was playing the demo for the PS3 version back when it came out. The demo didn't let you go very far and really restricted where you could go but I remember the combat and the Heat moves being fun to pull off. However for some reason I just never got the game after that. I can only guess that I never saw it at the GameStop I went to and so I just dropped the idea of getting it altogether. Why I never thought to get it online is beyond me But that said, it was really great to experience the game beyond the demo. I really loved the parts where Kiryu is taking care of the kids at his orphanage and what kind of father figure he was as well as how he treats another character as a big brother. It's pretty safe to say the biggest theme of the game was about family and I felt like it did it really well. The combat felt pretty good too. I didn't expect it to be bad but I figured it would be kind of dated but I didn't really get that impression even at first. I think the only real issue with the combat I had was the boss fights felt like the bosses would block constantly which made some fights drag out some but it's not a deal breaker. The chase sequence stuff was kind of cool too, and I like the song that accompanies it Ultimately though the biggest challenge for the Platinum is the Minigame Master trophy which had a fair share of frustrating minigames due to finicky mechanics. Pool for example in the remaster was made twice as difficult because the sensitivity on the stick got messed up where if you accidentally hit the stick to the left or right as you're going to hit the ball you will wind up spinning the ball so that on top of going against the Expert AI made Pool a more grueling experience than it should have been. I also found Golf to be frustrating because I couldn't get a feel for the amount of power I should put in a swing and I didn't really know how to compensate for the wind speed so I don't know I got a -5 score in that but I'll take it Otherwise the other minigames are the usual Poker, UFO Catcher, fishing, etc. that mainly take patience. However they also included Mahjong since I think that was cut in the original and I'm pretty much a broken record when it comes to saying how much I don't like Mahjong but I managed to get a Thirteen Orphans hand which basically let me win and get all the points I needed. Other than that there were a couple Ultimate Challenges that I found to be difficult. I think the worst ones were the one where you have to protect a character that dies in 2-4 hits and the other one where you have to go through a boss gauntlet but in-between rounds you don't heal so you have to go up against a couple of the more annoying bosses in the game with the final one being super aggressive and does a lot of damage. I managed to beat him though by being patient and taking advantage of my Heat restoring with my health in the red. All that said though Yakuza 3 is still a great game that I'm very glad I got to play and Platinum despite the frustrating bits. I definitely look forward to playing Yakuza 4 and 5 a bit more now

Popular Post Zach
#159 Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 42hrs Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a trip down memory lane. It's THE comprehensive game of the Dragon Ball Z show. The majority of the time of this game will be cutscenes but it makes sense since it's either fighting (gameplay) or story (cutscenes). It being DBZ, I have no problem it being mostly cutscenes, because if you had to fight any more than the game had you doing, it would've been boring. If you like DBZ, or ever wanted to get in the show, this game is for YOU.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#290: Hero of the day Well, the price was right! And I really don't mean that in a bad way, because there are quite a few things about this game I like. I like the platforming, I like the puzzles, I LOVED the environments, even the story had some interesting bits, so it was good to get this at a super cheap price. But everyone was right about the voice acting suck major ass. Special mention to whoever voiced Evelyn. Everybody took a piece of the "give no fucks" pie, but she MUST'VE gone back for seconds. Maybe even thirds. It's our hero Adam that walks away as the worst of the cast. They try to play him as the "Charming Chauvinist", but thanks to the shit VA, every stereotypical woman joke he makes comes across as douchey and unfunny, and almost completely unrelated to the situation at hand. #291: First Edition Welp, had to put this extra Ps3 peripheral to use sooner or later, and yeah, it was actually kinda fun. It's definitely more for Potter fans than anything, but thankfully the game is easy to pick up and understand. This will be the first of my Wonderbook platinums, with Diggs most likely coming next, and me wondering how I'm gonna get a hold of Book of Potions and Walking with DInosaurs without breaking my wallet.
