Popular Post No longer here
#105 - Devil May Cry 7/10 Difficulty 9/10 Fun PSNP Rarity: 7.57% PSN Official Rarity: 1.3% My first time playing this game and it is still one of the best games on the Ps2!! I have the platinum for DMC3, DMC5, DmC and now DMC1! The game is brutal especially on Dante Must Die mode. However, if you save up on items such as holy water and untouchables, the game will not be as hard. But the game is still brutal even if you're prepared. This game is harder than DMC3 but easier than DMC5 to platinum. I recommend this game to anyone! It is responsible for many action games you love today!
Popular Post Viper
#201 Agents of Mayhem Agent of the Month Man oh man...I didn't know what to think about this one. This is a spin-off of the Saints Row series, which I'm a massive fan of. But I've heard all the panning it's received over the years for just being a bad game...and...I don't get it. I had an absolute BLAST with this game! It's been sitting on my shelf for nearly 3 years because I listened to everyone else and was thinking I possibly made a bad purchase. But this game was so much fun. At least...it was until the story and side content was complete and all I had left to do were getting all the characters to level 20 and getting those 15 connected contracts (since literally no one else online contributed to them at all), as you get stuck repeating the same thing over and over to level up. The game isn't perfect...the story is a little cringe, the Agents are pure stereotypes of what they represent, and there's some repetitive gameplay elements. But what they were going for here was just a lot of fun. You have 12 different characters to choose from (15 if you get the DLC), all of which have different weapons and special abilities so no one feels like they play the same...and you choose 3 of them at a time to tackle a bunch of enemies in very fast paced, always-on-your-toes, shootem up gameplay. Add in the fact that there's 15 levels of difficulty, upgrades, loot and new abilities to add. I just had fun...it was the type of game I was looking for, and it's been sitting on my shelf this whole time. It's a damn shame this game got shit on so hard that Deep Silver canned it rather than trying a sequel and improving on what they gave us here. I think this could have been a great series to right along side Saints Row.

The game itself is fine as well, if you are into puzzles.I love the art style and sense of class went into every inch of this game. Sure, it feels like certain puzzle pieces only reveal themselves when the game wants to, and some of the fits are so tiny it's hard to make out, but hey, it functions as it should. Highly recommend the first game if you haven't played it yet. The trophies are just as beautiful.
Popular Post DesmaBR
Platinum #121 Biggest Fan Collect All Trophies Let me start by saying that I'm not this game's "Biggest Fan". It's a very mediocre online shooter that you'd better off playing anything else. I especially remember watching it's trailer at the EA "E3" event, and I couldn't help but think "This game ain't lasting a year". And it sure looks like that'll be the case, as 2 weeks after it came out it was already 80% of discount, and they were giving out free codes for the game. Which I was one of the lucky few. Since there's a little milestone I wanna hit, I wanted to start getting some random trophies, "so yeah, let's play this". ... And now, here we are. Don't bother with this one. The grind for 1 character lv 100 + 5 character lv 25 is too much Edited September 8, 2020 by DesmaBR

Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Alpha Plat Rain - Super Neptunia RPG The last Neptune game I played was so good I was really excited to play this one. Then a few people starting telling me it was crap...and then I played the game... OK, I still love Neptune and her friends. The dialog was great and her obsession with pudding never gets old for me. I am happy to have played this game just for their interactions. NOW ON TO THE REST OF THE GAME 1. The battle mechanics. Do you want to know how to win 100% of the battles. Hold L2, switch to Blanc and mash Square. Every battle won with no effort at all. I never even switched out my abilities until the end when I put Big Bang on Neptune to level up quicker. Seriously beat the last boss (twice...more on that later) by holding down L2 and mashing Square. I switched it up and pressed L3 to do a special attack every now and then but yeah not much change. 2. The Story. Ok, I like the characters but the story was stupid. I am just going to spoil it (because seriously who cares in this game) but you are fighting for 3d games and 2D games because the main villain liked playing games with her sister. That is it. That is what the whole game was all about. I seriously just gave up on the story by the end as it was one in the morning and I just wanted to finish. 3. The problems. This game had more slow down than Fallout 3. The second last boss was literally at a couple of frames per second (both times I fought it...more on that later) and as soon as you beat 2 of the villains it sped up again. So basically it was emulating Secret of Mana...not the good parts, just the non-ability to have more than 3 enemies on screen at once. 4. The fucking final boss. OK, the last boss gives you a choice. To join him or to die. I thought it would be funny to see what would happen if you joined him. Maybe Neptune would get the power to turn people into pudding, maybe she would yell PSYCHE and the battle would start, maybe she would cut Compa's head off...I don't know...I wanted to see what the humour of this game would do...it goes to a black screen and you reload your game...and have to beat all the other bosses again. Seriously? Nothing beyond that? Fuck you SNRPG. The game froze on me constantly, the slow down was painful, whenever you finished a quest a GIANT BOX WOULD APPEAR OVER YOUR CHARACTER FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS, all the great side characters were gone, the story was long but didn't go anywhere, the abilities and weapons were useless as I often forgot to switch out for better ones and i could keep going...but at the end of the day it was just not very good

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #68 - Assassin's Creed Black Flag (+DLC) Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure! - Win Every Trophy. 276,243 Owners - 15,152 Achievers for a percentage of 5.49% (average completion; 37.41%) Enjoyment; 1/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Trophies; 2/10 (bad B/S/G distribution, slightly improved tiles, no interesting requirements) State of Transcendence upon finishing my AC backlog quest; Transcendence/10 Full review found in my Checklist thread This is the third Assassin's Creed Platinum I've posted here in the past month and by now everyone knows I absolutely hate the series, so I'm not gonna spray my vitriol all over the place again. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is an improvement over Brotherhood and Revelations; the setting is much better with some gorgeous beaches, gameplay has been marginally improved now (holy shit, you can now vault over fences rather than hop on and off like Ezio used to do), and the game ends. That's all the positive bits I can say about it, really. Most of the Trophies are brainless exercises in finishing Ubisoft's trademark bland open world activities; liberate each fortress (King Of The Castle), visit every location for Cartographer, pick a fight in every tavern for Bar Fly, collect epic magical stones for Vault Raider, and sink a bunch of ships as part of Naval Contracts for Sea Legs. There's also some tough legendary ships to beat, and a bunch of diving locations which you have to pick clean to find plans to upgrade the Jackdaw in order to get Destroyer. You also get to repeat Memory 2 of Sequence 3 a bunch of times to grind liberated pirates towards the 500 needed for Cannon Fodder. I'm fighting the urge to get negative again. I'm glad it's over, and I'm glad I also finished the multiplayer character pack and Freedom Cry for 100%. Have to say Freedom Cry was pretty damn bad. I really only played this game - and Brotherhood and Revelations before it - because my younger brother had snuck them onto my profile way back between 2011 and 2014. I was driven by pride - to not let myself get beaten by these games and their silly Trophy requirements - and by fear of the servers for the multiplayer going down. And wouldn't you know it; mere hours after I popped the last multiplayer Trophy on September 1st, Black Flag's servers went down. And they haven't gone back up since; a Discord full of boosters is currently desperately begging Ubisoft support to help, with the helpdesk blaming each individual for using a faulty internet connection. Uhuh, sure, when everyone had no trouble playing the day before. I am crossing my fingers for the servers to come back before long, but as it stands, I am the last person to have achieved All Rounder. Time will tell whether this server issue is a hiccup or whether I dodged a bullet by a hair's breadth. I am now going to stare at this screenshot of my profile for a while and revel in the warm afterglow of having finally, after years and years and years, finished these games I never asked for. Popular Post greenzsaber
Dungeon Travelers 2 Finally decided to give this game a shot after having it for years. The 20000 kills may seem daunting, but it turns out it's easy to get 20-25 kills per minute with the right setup. Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #406: Guacamelee 2 Guacamastery Obtain every trophy in the game Well, despite the plat's description, I have not obtained every trophy in the game, though I will. Honestly, the challenges are more fun than anything in the game itself. Guacamelee 2 was...a disappointment. And this is strange, because it's so much like Guacamelee. But for whatever reason, I felt that the new Guacamelee was...stale. The jokes seemed stale. The bosses seemed stale. The platforming seemed stale. The big new addition (the "chicken Illuminati", which opens up new combat elements with the chicken) was a disappointment, because it was used too much, and was kind of stupid all around. The story was dumb. I mean, it's OK to have a light humor element, but not if that light humor is somehow world-destroying. Last time, Calaca was attempting to sacrifice a "virgin" to become all powerful, which will in turn destroy the, ummm, Mexiverse. This time? You're looking for secret relics, which become a tortilla chip for a bit of sacred guacamole. But somehow, this too will destroy the...Mexiverse. The control felt far less tight than in the original Guacamelee, and this seemed to be acknowledged by the devs, who created a much easier game. The final boss, in particular, is a complete joke, on any mode. In fact, the bosses themselves were pretty uninspired. The platforming could be frustrating, but most of the time, death doesn't feel like it's your fault, and in any case, it's so much easier than before that you'll hardly notice it. On the plus side, you can easily 100% the game, and plat it, without ever looking at a guide (you will need to look at the description of a couple of trophies, since you would never get them on your own, but it's pretty obvious how to do them all). In the end, I can't say I disliked the game. It was just fine as a time waster. But the eternal recurrence of the same, tripled with lackluster control and an easier game made this far less exciting for me. Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #95 Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 17 hours Enjoyment: 8.5/10 The first Knack was an ok game. It had certain flaws, but it was otherwise a fine one. Little did I know that there would be a sequel. Can it do a better job? As a matter of fact, it actually does. I'm honestly surprised how much the sequel has improved from the first game. This is what the first game should've been. For the most part. This time, I started on Hard, and it actually wasn't too bad. That said, I only had trouble on two sections: Chapter 8-4: The boss battle against Xander's relic monster is not too hard, until the phase where it summons a large hand. I died a few times because of this. It's kind of hard to focus on when you have two targets, but only have to attack one of them. Chapter 15-2: The section where you have to fight several Knack clones, as well as some other enemies is the worst. It gets chaotic after a while. Although I didn't die, it was close. While a sunstone crystal does spawn, it doesn't help that much. It's still chaotic. I also encountered an error in Chapter 11- 2. There's a section where you have to get past through a couple of enemies and hit a switch right after that. When I got to that, I couldn't hit it because the button prompt was greyed for some reason. The only way to fix this was to close the game and load it. After that, it worked normally. The Time Attack and Coliseum modes make their comeback in this game. Unlike in the first game, this time they are a bit more challenging, but easy enough. I needed a few tries for each Time Attack stage before I succeeded. The Coliseum on the other hand, was easy as I managed to clear them on my first attempt, but why only three stages? A new feature added in the game are the Knack medals. These are obtained by completing specific tasks, such as clearing the level within a certain time, getting a certain score and so on. By the time I completed the game, I had 20 medals or so. Getting the remaining 50 medals took me about 4 hours or so. When I eventually got them, I was exhausted as I did this in one go. I also did the easiest and the fastest ones which didn't leave me too many options. While I did get most of the speedrunner medals, there was one medal I just couldn't get, no matter how fast I was. Thankfully, you don't have to collect all the medals for platinum. I also collected all the treasure chests. Like the medals, you don't have to collect all of them, but this was something I wanted to get done. Overall, I enjoyed this game more than I thought. If they ever end up making a third game, I'm all in. Something tells me that it's not going to happen, but one can always hope. I'm also planning to collect the remaining medals as well as learn the last two skills I haven't unlocked. Learning those won't be a problem, but the medals on the other hand. Well, someday I'll get the rest. Might as well post my platinum screenshot. All I can say about that, the timing could've been better. Much better. Spoiler Platinum #96 Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I've never played the Sakura Wars games before, although I've heard the series earlier. After seeing the trophy guide, I got intrigued and decided to check it out. I have to admit, I haven't played anything like this before. I mean sure, making choices is something I've done in some other games, but in a game like this, no. That said, it was fun. I usually saved before it was time to make a choice, and I can tell that I saved regularly. You can never be too careful. I'm going to cover the other things about the game, although I will say that I made positive choices most of the time, and that also made me happy at times. First, there's the Battle Bot simulations. Redoing all the story battles is not too bad, but because you have to do each of them four times (five if you didn't get an S-rank during story), it gets old quickly. However, the final battle is the worst. Unlike the other simulations, this one has dialogue and cutscenes, and skipping all that becomes boring. Thankfully, the final battle is easy (even easier for Claris and Anastasia). Next is the minigame, which is Koi-Koi. I've only heard about this once, and that was several years ago, in the movie called Summer Wars. While the rules weren't explained in the movie, they were done so in its manga adaptation. As for the minigame itself, it took me some time to get used to, since this was the first I actually played it, even though it wasn't real life. If I had to do so in real life, I wouldn't stand a chance. Anyway, I managed to beat most of the opponents on my first attempt. For some of them, I needed a few attempts before I got lucky. I'm not saying I should win all the time on the first try, though. Losing is natural. I usually needed 3-5 games before I was victorious. I'd say Reiji and Itsuki were the ones I needed the most amount of luck. Both of them got very lucky at one of the games. After beating every opponent, a small cutscene will play, as shown below. It's good. That's all I can say about it. I wonder if there will be another one if you beat them on Challenge mode. Probably not. Spoiler There are also some things I don't understand related to the mini game. Certain characters are unlocked by advancing the story and receiving a message. While I did unlock most of them, some of them I didn't. Thankfully, you can unlock them once you clear the game. Characters either nod or shake their head every now and then. Why? They also say something during the mini game, but there's no subtitles. When playing against Yaksha, every time you select a card that's highlighted, she grins angrily. It's amusing for a while, but it becomes hard to focus whenever she does that. Lastly, are the bromides. It's nice to see how characters from the past games are referred to in these. With the guide, finding and collecting them was easy. Well, with exception of bromide #53 which is the most easiest one to miss. To get it, you need to make sure you remember the order correctly, or else you won't get it. I think you're allowed to select one of the choices wrong, but no more than that. Because I messed up and accidentally saved after failing it, I had to do a playthrough on NG+ to get it. Thankfully, it doesn't take too long to reach that point. Other than that, collecting them was fun. Oh, and can't forget about the endings. There are five of them, but thankfully, you don't have to do five playthroughs to get the trophies. Save before the final battle, and that's it. Even though I had to beat the final boss that many times (plus four times for Battle Bot simulations), I'd say the ending I saved for last was worth it. The trophy screenshot explains that much. I've already shown it once in some other thread, but I'd thought I would show it once more. Again, it contains spoilers, so check it at your own risk. Spoiler PS. Sakura is the best girl, thus the best ending. Fact. There's also an anime based on this which seems to take place after the game. When I started watching, I only watched the first episode as the game was in progress. After I got the platinum, I resumed the anime. Just like the game, I enjoyed it. But man, did the OP song hit hard. Basically, it's the same theme song as the game has. Not to mention, the anime uses the same music. It's understandable, but I like it. So yeah, I ended up liking this more than I thought I would. I'm planning to get every possible event added in Teletron someday, but that's for another time. I already got most of them, but the remaining endings and so on are still missing. Also, by the time I'm writing this, they've already announced the next game in the series. Hopefully, it'll get a western release too. It's time to wrap this up with my platinum screenshot. Guest
Deathly Hallows Part 2 Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 6/10 This game sucks. I know movie tie-in games are usually rough, but Jesus. The gameplay is nothing more than wave-to-wave survival gameplay. Each "action" section is nonsense and turns into "protect person opening doors/doing a spell". The bosses are literally all the same but with different characters. The harder difficulties are also atrociously hard. You die incredible easily and have to sit behind a wall for what feels like 55 years to heal. No thoughts of originality were put into anything. Every movie plot-point was drawn out and became shit. The gameplay is tedious, the collectibles are pointless, the challenges are fucking meaningless, and the game looks terrible. The single redeeming quality of the game, and this is of no result of the makers/EA, is that it's Harry Potter. Take away the Harry Potter skin and it's one of the worst games I've ever played. Popular Post Darghel
#82 A New Story of Swords and Souls (Soul Calibur VI) Difficulty: can be hard for some, but it's mostly boring Time to Complete: I would say 40-50 hours total Recommended: it's not too hard so it's doable, but you'll need online too Total Score: 6/10 Needed a few days off because this one game took me a while to get, and not because it was hard or anything, but because Libra of souls was an extremely boring campaign that had a lot of potentials but was ultimately a slog: it was too long for one (took me 17 hours to finish) and a lot of trophies are about finishing libra souls, in particular, it annoyed me to have the bad ending so I just rushed for that last one. But overall Libra of Souls was at least easy and the story mode was ok, but I truly miss some fun story mode like before: Arcade mode was okay but no story was in it, while story mode was great but you barely fight other characters! It's often CaS characters! Once in awhile it's fine but almost all fights in that are CaS! But I give them credit: it's vastly superior than SC5 and 4, but I think nothing beats SC3 story mode to this day (and Chronicles of the sword was much better too) In the end, the only real issue could be the online: I SUCK at fighting game but the requisites for the online trophies are actually pretty easy, with winning 5 casual matches and ranked matches maybe your hardest ones, while doing 50 matches online is just a matter of time. I was lucky to have found a few people to play with who were somewhat on my level, so this was surprisingly more enjoyable than I thought. And I even managed to make some fun characters too! Overall, it's fairly easy as a platinum, even with online stuff, but I would say it was also pretty boring and I legitimately struggled to get Libra of souls done, since there was a LOT of stuff there and some fights are annoying too (each fight has some specific effect, and of course the enemy always have the best ones). I do recommend it, but be ready for some boring story in the Libra of souls and a somewhat underwhelming story mode, but I think it's a solid game and fairly reasonable platinum. Just take your time and if you can find some online friends to play with, go ahead and this will be even more enjoyable! PS: Not exactly a shout out or anything, but big thanks to MagnaVolt for giving me the incitement to give this game a try again. Not much really but if I didn't ask him how hard it was to get this game done I would've probably given up earlier. Popular Post Valkyrie_Kitsune
#7: Fairy Tail _______________ Fairy TailAcquired all trophies. Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 1.5/10 I'm a hardcore fan of the anime, so I'm really happy we finally got a game. No need to say that I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. I can't describe how glad I am that we got a turn-based battle system for this game, instead of another generic anime fighting/musou game. And tbh: I think the turn-based battles fit the game so much! Loved the world design, everything was super charming, very colorful and lovable. I only wished it would have started at the very beginning of the anime (that way I could have hoped for a sequel Q_Q) instead of throwing us into the middle of the anime. That would have also made it way friendlier for newbies of the franchise. I definitely plan on going back sometime in the future and replay the game on hard difficulty. I sincerely hope KT/Gust will release some additional content in the meanwhile. (Maybe even Season Pass 2?)

Popular Post SirWaWa
Final Fantasy XIII Finally after 10+ years the trilogy of FFXIII has been completely platted and this was the final one for me. The original is my least favorite out of the three for it's anti-climatic story, grindy item upgrade system and some what slower battle system. I finished it once 10 years ago and stopped short of doing the cie'th stone missions and treasure hunter, along with Long Gui. Fast forward 10 years, I decided to pick it up again and this time platinum it. So I started a brand new second play through and the graphics still hold up very well for today. What didn't hold well and probably didn't even back then was the story. The music is still solid but not as good as FFXIII-2 or LR even though the OST consists of alot recycled tracks from the previous games but it's not the recycled tracks, it's the new tracks that makes it better. Most of the cie'th stone missions were easy, while there were a few challenging ones that required specific equipment setup. You could brute force or outlast your opponent but you won't get 5 stars with that strategy, nor the trophy for it, which means no platinum. Grinding the required gil and catalysts was quite the nightmare for me as I couldn't decide what was the best way to go about this. There were numerous methods, none that I found that were either time efficient or lucrative. I settled on farming the Adamantoise on Eden for the last several million. All in all, platted this with 128 game hours, does not include the numerous soft resets if platinum ingots/traps didn't drop. I had no problem farming traps, you'll get the required traps before you've acquired the required gil to make the ultimate weapons. Not the grindiest end-game I've had to go through in terms of hours spent but definitely up there as the boringest. Not a very hard platinum as long as your dedicated.
