Popular Post Exeshow678
My Most recent Platinum (My 29th Plat.) goes to PARAPPA THE RAPPER REMASTERED Overall, the game's fine, but Stage 4 can go die, I was stuck on it for over a month and got uninterested in it, but I decided to go back to it and finish it up and it's not a bad game really, just Stage 4 was the issue
Popular Post Jake-TheGreat97
#87 Ghost of Tsushima This might be my favorite game of the year so far. That said, towards the end getting the platinum can feel exhausting, especially when it came to doing all of the side quest and chasing all of those foxes.

Popular Post Bumperklever
#131 Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter (PS4) Life of a consulting detective Date Achieved: 26 October 2020Rarity: Common (52-53%)Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Platted crimes and punishment back in 2015 and got this game for only 2 euro's which is a steal in my book. This and crimes and punishment contains a cheesy story with logical detective reasoning behind it. Though this one is more action packed then it's predecessor which can be perceived as a good or bad thing. For me it is both, keeps you gripped through the whole game, but the detective stuff is toned down a bit. I like case 2 the best. Something, something, Sherlock Jones. Case 4 was really gimicky and... Case 5, sure it explains the title but it was so... why... Nevertheless it was a thril through the whole game
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#331 - Spirit Hunter: NG Spirit Hunter: NG Thanks for playing with me... You're going to play with me some more...until you die... An appropriate game to play this time of the year, eh? ? This is the follow up to Death Mark, a game I greatly enjoyed playing earlier this year. The sequel lives up to the original and maybe even exceeds thanks to the excellent cast of characters. For those that don't know, this game is split up into different chapters, with each one requiring you to investigate and deal with a different spirit. They all have disturbing/tragic backstories and it's cool trying to piece it all together. This all ties into the overarching storyline that I found quite compelling. It's a great game and I'm really looking forward to the third game in the series due out next year.
SoapMacTavish222
#386 Little Big Planet for PS3. This is by far the most frustrating platinum I have ever earned. I have done some difficult games before but this one seriously had me acting like a 5 year old yelling at the game. I don't know if it's just because I was super terrible at this game or what but the Play trophy requires you to beat all levels except survival challenges without dying. And at first I was like "eh, can't be that bad, right?" And for the most part it really wasn't. There was a couple levels that I was like "Eh that sucks, gonna have to do it again." and then I would get them after a couple tries......then there was The Bunker, The Collector's Lair, and The Mines that seriously had me saying every obscenity in the world. The Mrs. was looking over at me like "I have never seen you get this upset over anything before." So all I can say is I am glad it's done.
Popular Post Jelly Soup
#132 - LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (PS4) Played this when it was first released on the PS3. Saw it was on sale for the PS4 and jumped on it. Fun game with an original story, annoying voice acting, terrible flight controls and all the glitches of the original that we've come to expect of TT LEGO games. Overall very enjoyable. A couple unfair mission placements, though, that makes cleanup a pixel hunt. And seeing certain minifigs just makes me they existed at that quality IRL (an Archangel minifig with that kind of chrome shine on the wings would be wonderful) and gets me thinking about figs I'd love to see (Cyclops in his Generation X costume would be cool). Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #551: Difficulty: 4/10 Playtime: 4-5 hours Enjoyment: 3.5/10 Oh boy, Orc slaying! As a Shadow of Wardor veteran, I can reliably inform without a hint of hyperbole or dissemination that this is indubitably my jam! How could this be anything but an enjoyable black-blooded romp? Fish in a barrel for any moderately talented developer! I'm ready! Ten minutes later: Yes, Orc Slayer is about as big a piece of shrakh as you've been told, and then some. Nothing can prepare you for its utter brokenness, even if you know what you're headed in for. Whichever team of trepanned molluscs designed this mockery has managed to take all the joy out of massacring Orcs with a steam-powered crossbow, and I do believe that constitutes as a crime against humanity. The game has absolutely no chill, hardly ever giving you a single break or advantage against its seemingly endlessly spawning hordes of Orcs, spiders, and, umm... flying pigs? But that's nothing compared to your real enemy: a frame rate that struggles to stay in double digits at times. You can't even reliably Thermopylae their worthless hides, as they love to spawn right outside your peripheral vision, particularly behind you. The only way to win is to turn its thoroughly broken mechanics against it, and even that has a laughably inconsistent success rate. Its "Easy" setting feels like most contemporary games' Ultra Hard mode; I don't even want to think about the other difficulties... I have no idea how these folks with completion times of under two hours managed it, as at least three levels took me half an hour to get through... and whomever gave it a 2/10 difficulty rating in the guide deserves to have their hands gnawed off by a demonically possessed Teddy Ruxpin. It's still doable, but it's about as fun and rewarding as playing Marco Polo inside a vat of acid: even if you win, you'll still walk away half the person you used to be. Oh man, I really should have heeded the warning of #1 BoglinBoy Jim F. Sterlingson this time... do I really have anyone but myself to blame, though? Conventional wisdom says no, but fuck it, I'll blame it on unchecked corporate lobbyism, like I do everything.
Popular Post StewartBros
#162 - MAD MAX Halls of Valhalla Very Rare This game has been in my backlog for ages, but I was unaware of the online requirement for 2 of the challenges, so when news broke of the impending server shutdown, I knew it was finally time to jump on this game and at least get those 2 challenges done. I ended up enjoying the game enough that I just kept going with it, and got the plat in about 5 weeks. The story mode is very short, only comprising about 16 missions and 17 side missions, so the bulk of the game is spent completing challenges and scavenging locations in order to upgrade Max and his car. There are many, MANY places to visit and challenges to complete if you want this platinum, and although many players report experiencing glitches and problems with this game, I got lucky and didn't have a single issue whilst playing. Some of the challenges, namely Unstoppable, required a few attempts to complete, but for the most part, nothing was particularly difficult. It's good fun, but it is one hell of a grind, and I'm glad that it's done, and proud to have earned this platinum. Popular Post MidnightDragon
#59 Gris This is a beautifully well done game. There is no conversation. Everything is conveyed through colors and gestures. It shares elements with Rime as well. There are some missables, but you can go back after finishing the game to pick up what you missed. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's certainly worth trying.

Popular Post Eagle
Platinum #5 – The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Excellent game, and well worth the time investment, in my humble opinion. Spent ~200 hours on it, but the side activities never felt like an unnecessary bloat (except underwater locations in Skellige), and, if you just want the main story, you can actually rush pretty quickly through it, but I really don't recommend this in the slightest. If you, for some weird reason, actually want to see more of my ramblings, there's a full review here. Onto Assassin's Creed II now, one of my two favorite games of all time. Popular Post JoaLoft
#235 - WRC 9 Get ready for one of my shortest platinum posts ever. WRC 9 is a rally game. They bring one out annually. You participate in rally events all around the world, you can play online and offline. There. Although ... I should add: the career mode was kind of fun: you get to manage your crew, your schedule and choose to fill it in with training challenges, rest days, special stages featuring specific cars and the main rally events, of course. I also recommend playing from the cockpit view, so you have a front-row seat to enjoy those cool weather effects. Most frustrating trophy - WRC Champion You'd think the trophy to win a race on "Authentic" difficulty would have taken this spot, but no: a very easy exploit (if you can call it that) lets you bag that trophy by switching difficulties right before you cross the finish line. So, traditionally, the "Most Frustrating Trophy" medal would go to the most time-consuming one: end up as number one in the main WRC season. You'll need to play through several annual career calendars in order to get this one, considering you need to work your way up through the ranks before you're allowed to compete in the WRC championship. WRC 9 will not convert you to the racing or rally genre - just like all the previous editions. But if you do fancy yourself a muddy drive through the Welsh countryside, the snowy woods of Sweden or the rocky mountain roads of Argentina, it does not disappoint and it's actually a pretty good rally entry in the franchise and the genre as a whole.

Popular Post RoastedPeanut
#88 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Just another day at the office Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 I have really fond memories of playing Modern Warfare when it first came out on PC, and although it felt so familiar playing it again, it also felt really fresh seeing as it had been so many years since I last played it. Probably my favourite CoD and the Remaster is brilliant. I don't really play much MP, so when it comes to CoD I'm all about the campaign, and well this has one of the best FPS campaigns I've ever played. Time to fire up Modern Warfare 2 now I think!

Popular Post GT__Jedi
Plat #66: Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren's Call Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 For one of those "let's do an afternoon (or two) game" this fits the bill. Just wanted to kick back and play a game that you could do in a couple of days or so. Enjoyable puzzles, easy storyline. You need to play through twice - once for the hidden object games and then once for the Mahjong games. Biggest pita was the "In a Flash" trophy. You needed to finish a Mahjong game in 1 minute or less - damn, I screamed, rage quit (at 61 seconds) and swore I'd never finish this game out of frustration. But there are a couple of games (remember to save to the cloud and then download!) where the pattern wasn't too bad and there was a possibility (if all of the planets line up) where you could get it done. Some suggested to do a hidden object game and then at the last match just switch over to Mahjong and that would pop the trophy. Not so. Don't know if they patched it or what, so this trophy was EARNED.
