Popular Post Moridin83
# 230 Syphon Filter There are basically 2 ways to look at this game. If you played it back when it first released, the nostalgia may carry you through and make it a pretty decent experience. If you're new to this game, good luck. It's a 3D PS1 game from before dual analog. The game tells you what your objectives are, then says "Well, have fun finding them!". Despite all this, the rewind function means there's practically no challenge, and you can easily complete the game in under 10 hours. It's free on PS+ Premium, but if you don't have that nostalgia going for you, you'd really only play it for the trophies. With all that said, I am old enough to have played it on the OG PlayStation, and I found parts of the game coming back to me, and it definitely put a smile on my face.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#416: 真正的传奇! Here's one that's been on my list for five years, and one I never thought I would get complete. Though not for reasons one may think. The story goes, I had originally given up on getting a Diamond Cup for the Vita version, but I still wanted this Platinum in my collection. So, after waiting for a cheap price, I said "okay I'll do the Chinese version". So I buy it, it gets to me, and guess what happens? The game breaks on me. No fooling, I could not beat the Luchador boss because the game would constantly constantly crash on this level. I could do a few levels afterward, and nothing else seemed to be bugged, but for whatever reason, the game refused to play that level properly, and therefore could not 100% the game. I tried backing up my saves and reinstalling the game, I tried starting over from scratch, and not a single thing would work. A couple months past, I finally got my chance to get a Diamond Cup via the Murphy glitch cup and 100% the North American version, and this soon faded from memory. It wasn't until earlier this year, with the completion of Shovel Knight (another game that went unfinished for 5 years) that I thought "hey, maybe I can try to do this again". So once again I waited for a cheap price, which luckily came up (for a long while, Chinese vita version went for at least $100 on eBay). Lucky for me, everything went perfectly, and I now have another game completed out my list. #417: Platinum This was one of many games that I have been eyeing for a while, and just now worked up the nerve to do. Like most Cabela games, I did have fun with it, and I can see how it would lay the groundwork for North American Adventures, which is still my favorite at the moment. However, there are things that feel a bit off and buggy. The auto aim in particular is very obnoxious. Still, like I said, it was an okay experience, but now I am left wondering if I do want to do the remaining Cabela games possible. I said I wanted to do all the possible games, but I don't know, I just think I played the best the series has to offer.
Popular Post J-HOOOPPPEE
#21 - Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (PS4:) Party like it's 2024obtained: 24th September 2022 This platinum took me 3 years to achieve, a number of reasons include: just general life; not having a huge interest in games at the time, but probably the biggest reason is that in my opinion is game is the weakest of the trio, however it has made me realise a trend in what I dislike. I have come to understand that I dislike when games force you to constantly change characters, I sadly find this feature which could be really fun to some people, is really jarring to me I am glad I pushed through though as Spyro as a whole is a big nostalgia trip to me, especially this one as I remember playing it with my grandad The ending of the game definitely made up for it
Popular Post theSpirae
Platinum #67 Time Played 40 hours Difficulty 4/10 Rating 6/10 Source PS Store, 2017 $10 Bought this game 5 years ago and started playing right away. I believe I finished the campaign and stopped playing. Briefly got back to the game in 2019 and 2020 based on the trophy log. I was missing collectibles and some of the coop trophies. I finally get around to it and thanks to the help of this site I found people to finish the campaign in coop and get all the collectibles. It's an enjoyable game and I especially like the dark atmosphere. Unfortunately, the gameplay didn't age well. That might not be entirely correct because the gameplay wasn't the best to begin with even when the game came out (played it originally on PC). The movements are clunky, in all my coop sessions there was a noticeable lag no matter who hosted the game. Only the host wasn't affected. Tested with people from the same region with reliable connections/low latency and it was still noticeable. I still had fun getting back to the game, the story is ridiculous and makes you laugh occasionally.
Popular Post The_Kopite
TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection Bloody good fun to play the classics that I used to play growing up, plus loads of games I hadn't played in years (The Arcade Game FTW) and lots I never had played as I have ever owned a NES or SNES. (The horror, I know) The Game Boy ones were even fun in a simple way. Love all the extras you get too, bargain for the content. Completely worth it and extremely fun! Quick platinum too for trophy hunters! Highly recommend to anyone, fan of TMNT or not. Worth it just to experience a part of gaming history. (Pity they had to redo the classic 80's TMNT cartoon theme song though) Cowabunga!!!

Popular Post theSpirae
Platinum #68 Time Played 43 hours Difficulty 4/10 Rating 4/10 Source EA Access/PS Plus Started playing this one in 2020 when I had one month of EA Access and didn't finish it. Figured I might give it another since it was just added to PS Plus. There's nothing special about this installment in the NFS series. The whole attempt to add characters, story, and social media crap into the game killed it for me. Cringe fest, nothing more. This might appeal to some but definitely to me. Right after Payback (which I hate so much I won't even bother finishing), this is the worst NFS game I've played. They basically stripped down everything from Rivals that made it great and added pointless crap. Cop chasing is dumbed down as you have limited/next to no means to get rid of them. Either drive fast or use jumps. And collectibles in a racing game? That was just ridiculous. Driving around and collecting spray paints? If the DLC with all locations revealed wasn't free I wouldn't even bother collecting it all.

Popular Post RebelsHeart
Platinum #102 - One Piece World Seeker 2.5/5 experience. I was looking forward to playing this game for a while now. But it sadly disappointed me more than I enjoyed it. The gameplay got very repetitive. The trophies were no fun. Entering Steel City and getting sniped down every 5 seconds was the worst experience I've ever had traversing in any game. Also it was awful to find out there's an unmarked side quest (which was important for trophies), and only appears once in chapter 15. Aka end game. Which caused me to replay the last bit of the game 3 times. It truly was no fun. Also anyone here who has played the DLC and can tell me if those 3 episodes are worth it? I hate leaving games under 100%, but the main game has me questioning if I should go for it.
Popular Post Trancexistence
#15 - Far Cry 3 100% - Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon "Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?" I had an absolute blast playing through Far Cry 3 again after many years and it felt like a very rewarding platinum to achieve. Everything from the story to the game's setting was superb and the Rook Islands were a beautiful looking and immersive environment to get lost in. Those islands were beautiful but dangerous. Speaking of dangerous, there's Vaas...well there's nothing I can say about him that hasn't already been said. He was one of the highlights of the game and his status as one of the best video game villains of all time is well earned. He's psychotic, scary, yet utterly compelling and excellently voiced by the superb Michael Mando. Reclaiming the islands one outpost at a time added to the game's immersion and you can can actually feel protagonist Jason Brody becoming stronger as the story goes on thanks to the many skill upgrades that can be purchased. I also enjoyed my time with Blood Dragon which I thought I'd offer my thoughts on in this post. It was an enjoyable FPS homage to 80's sci-fi/action movies and I loved the humour plus the numerous puns and in-jokes No platinum trophy unfortunately but a fun 100% to achieve. Popular Post RadiantFlamberge
Nioh 2 (PS5) #21) You Are Nioh Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Grind: 8/10 There is a bit of a hill to get over in the early game. At first Nioh 2 seems somewhat harder than the original Nioh, but there are things that even it out. Early in the first level, there is a large enemy that you might not want to tangle with right away. Often, you will get Soul Cores from killed Yokai. Attune one to your Guardian Spirit and you can use a certain special attack, assuming you have enough Anima. Soul Cores may be fused to increase their rank. You can also go to Benevolent Graves to summon ghosts of other players for the right amount of Ochoko Cups (between 1 and 5). If you want to make a BG to help other players, use a Righteous Jasper. When your BG is of help to someone else, you gain Glory and Ochoko Cups. Since your main character is a Shiftling (half human, half yokai) the original Nioh's living weapon is replaced by Yokai Shift. One grindy trophy is Tea Connoiseur. You need to have Danjo appraise 50 tea utensils. He will either return it to you or call it "rubbish, nothing but a mere trinket" and throw it out. Even the rubbish ones will be counted towards this (my 50th one was trashed and it still counted). Your hut will have a tea utensil rack. I recommend a High Eccentricity setup which increases the tea utensil drop rate. The blacksmith is interested in tea utensils and she'll pay good money for them. The big grind in Nioh 2 comes from weapon master trophies. Before a weapon type's mastery test will be unlocked, you need to gain 120.000 proficiency points with it. Now take all varieties from the first game and its DLC, then add Switchglaive and Hatchets for a total of nine. Fists and Splitstaff aren't required for the plat. Ninjutsu and Onmyo magic have similar masteries. One thing that annoyed me in the first game is how you have to complete all Twilight Missions to get Samurai of Legend. Part of that is waiting for the ones you need to cycle in. That can take days. At least Nioh 2's SoL trophy doesn't require any TMs, though you do need one for Twilight Walker. A few missions are marked as "online" meaning they were added by an update. They aren't needed for SoL. As before, nothing is missable. After finishing the story you can clean up missions you haven't done. Fortunately, N2 has no trophy like the first game's Regular Smith Customer. RSC involves spending an obscene total amount of money at the smith. After clearing the story, watch for Divine loot drops. Popular Post Mr_Wright95
September 2022 Update Platinum 128: Marvels Spiderman Remastered (PS5) It has been a few years since I last played this game and it is as good as I remember. Still a great trophy list and this time around I tackled the DLC trophies (excluding NG+) Really enjoyed this one and am keen to smash out Miles whenever I get around to buying it. Platinum 129: Toem (PS5) I followed a guide the whole way through this game, but still really enjoyed this one. Normally I hate following guides as it kills the fun, but for this one It was still great with the guide. When I finally reached the summit to see "Toem" I realised this was the games first use of colour which was masterfully done and made the moment quite beautiful and emotive. Platinum 130: Dragonball Z Budokai HD Collection (PS3) I did not expect to get this platinum. I gave up on it some time ago, but a new guide was posted here and it became one of those scenarios where you come back to a game after a break and it seems much easier. Upon reflection I think I was a bit burnt out on this one. Regardless I am glad to have this one finally ticked off and am happy I was able to beat it. Considering the platinum rarity of 25% it would have been one of the most common platinum's I couldn't get done. Platinum 131: Immortals Fenyx Rising (PS5) Had this on my list for years and always wanted to play it. I am glad I finally got around to it. The campaign was great and I really enjoyed it a lot. The post game Platinum clean up did drag on which tempered my feelings for this game slightly, but overall it was a great experience. I will eventually come back to this again to net the PS4 lists trophies, but for now I am glad I got around to it. Platinum 132: Moonlighter (PS4) (3.97%) I Adore games like these. This genre is my absolute favourite and I loved every minute of this. The game plays similar to Sparklite and Children of Morta (Same Devs I believe) and it was a great, fun platinum. Beating a few of the bosses without taking damage got a bit annoying but was so satisfying once done and not as hard as the platinum rarity suggests. I am eager to play more games in this genre so if anyone has suggestions of ones I do not own (check my backlog thread) then please let me know!
Popular Post Valzentia
#98 - The Godfather II Difficulty: 3/10 Fun: 7/10 The second and last Godfather game. A fairly interesting GTA clone/open world crime game. My personal favorite part of the game is the choice of three open worlds to choose from: New York, Florida, and Cuba. The story is a bit lacking, unfortunately, and apparently deviates heavily from the second movie (though I have never seen any part of the trilogy so I can't confirm this), while the gameplay is pretty run of the mill. Nevertheless, as a fan of the style of game, it kept my attention and I did have some fun with it.

Elvick_
Platinum #245 PlayStation Vita Pets Best Friends Forever Collect all of the trophies PlayStation Pups. How hard is that, Sony? What a stupid title, that always bugged me. There’s only dogs. Maybe they wanted to leave it up to expand without stupid “+ Cats” like Nintendogs did, but they also called it PS Vita Pets specifically. Pigeonholing it to a specific system for no reason… this is very serious business to me. anyway, I liked the game. The “obstacle course” aside, which is utter garbage and barely works due to the horrendous camera. I waffle on whether I like the dog talking or not. I will say when the dog talks about the store having new or cool chew toys and it says something like, “wanna prove I’m telling the truth?” That line for some reason is just adorable to me every time. But him complaining about needing to drink water was annoying. the only other criticisms I have of the game really, well apart from a few placements of things (fast travel should’ve been accessible from your yard, and all the mini games too imo). But that’s minor, the thing that bugged me was the movement speed and the kind of on rails movement. You can move with the touch screen or analog stick, but you can’t move the camera with the right stick for some reason. And oh can only move like you’re on a track. So sometimes going somewhere is hard to maneuver. otherwise, I found the game really cute to go back to. I still like it, I don’t remember why I dropped it back then. But with wanting to complete old stuff and raise my completion this easy plat was a good choice. And it’s helping my backlog too. luckily I only missed one coin, and two pee spots. Both of which were easy to find. There was one coin and I looked at a map from pst, and I saw one down a path I remember going down but finding nothing and being annoyed. So I was confident that’s the one and it was! The other was where the last key was for the final puzzle so it was easy too. And the pee spots show up ingame when you find them and I knew to do them as I got them, and had gone and redone the ones I had found 8 years ago lol. ooooooh, but before I forget, the way the customization works is absolutely asinine. You have to be clean to change clothes. AND you often can’t crawl in certain clothing items. It’s so stupid! It made me mad. It’s such a waste of the entire mechanic imo. And giving the dog a shower takes so long and isn’t fun whatsoever. It’s just ‘do thing for set amount of time, then do other thing for set amount of time’. There’s no actual need to clean off dirt, or soap the whole body, or wash it all off or sudds if all. IIRC the original EyePet did it better as an actual mini game. Cute game. Kind of funny there’s a backdrop of war and death in the story. Rated 3 in… idk, what’s the green square rating system for EU? I have an imported copy of the game. I just find that funny in a game mainly aimed at younger kids.
SoapMacTavish222
#417 Stray on PS5 This game was actually quite enjoyable and had a pretty good story to it. It's not something I would've paid $60-$70 for like most games are now. The puzzles in it were pretty straight forward and it wasn't much of a challenge even with the two hour speed run. The collectibles weren't a huge grind either. Overall it was an easy platinum but still would've enjoyed it even if the game didn't have trophies.

Popular Post JoaLoft
#299 - Dishonored: Death of the Outsider The late Empress has been avenged, the Royal Protector has been exonerated and the Brigmore Witches' malevolent claim to the throne has been thwarted. All that's left, is the Outsider: the morally ambiguous supernatural being that has been bestowing the paranormal abilities unto our protagonists: Corvo Attano, Emily Kaldwin and Daud, the master assassin who was tricked into assassinating the previous Empress. In Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, the last remaining loose narrative ends are tied to show what happens to the remaining characters from the base games. The story features Billie Lurk, former assassin and pupil of Daud, who reunites with him fifteen years later as they pursue the Outsider, the mysterious divine man/being who exists outside the realm of the living. With one goal in mind: achieving the impossible and killing a god. The ambiguous nature of the series means that in this spin-off, you'll have the chance to resolve matters in two ways. Daud, believing that the Outsider is the cause of so much misery in the world of Dishonored, believes he should die. The Outsider is the one after all who gave Daud powers, turning him into an assassin of unprecedented power and being the reason why the previous Empress lay in a pool of her own blood. But he's also the one who gave Corvo, Emily and now Billie the same powers to rectify everything, born from an insatiable curiosity to witness what remarkable people would do when the supernatural abilities are given to them. So, as you'd expect, there are two outcomes: kill the Outsider (which is already quite the undertaking, considering he can't be destroyed by conventional weaponry) or save him. This time, however, it doesn't matter how much you sneak around and kill enemies. The High Chaos/Low Chaos system of previous games has been scrapped for the spin-off and instead: the secret solution to saving him simply lies in the last chapter. And yes, there is a way to save the Outsider. This is where we enter slight spoiler territory, because you might ask yourself: why does an immortal being with supernatural abilities need saving? Good question. The Outsider appears as a human with blackened eyes because there is much more to him than meets, well, the eye. He's been around for thousands of years, but as to the how and when of his existence, I'd prefer to keep some sense of mystery alive. In any case, saving him does not ambiguously imply that you're granting him death - that's essentially killing him. Saving the Outsider actually means rendering him mortal again and giving him back the life he lost thousands of years ago. It's this mystery surrounding characters, how the Outsider came to be for instance, in the universe of Dishonored that makes it so interesting and successful. The keyword in the franchise and in this platinum post once more is - as you've undoubtedly noticed - ambiguity. Gameplay has been simplified as such that you don't need to upgrade powers or unlock them anymore: you're given access to everything early on and you can tackle situations however you see fit as a former assassin. Billie is given a few new cool powers, one of them is called "Semblance" and allows you to impersonate unconscious people to deal with situations without needing to sneak in or kill adversaries. You can slash your way through everyone and use powers however you want, and still nail the good ending, so you're given more leeway. Your arsenal still consists of a blade and a wrist-mounted crossbow to fire different types of ammo, you have access to grenades, the usual Dishonored gear. However, there are new optional contracts to pick up at the black markets which offer smaller objectives to finish, for extra coin to upgrade weapons and buy supplies. If I had to give any criticism, it would be directed towards the level design and the hastened conclusion at the end (the final cutscene lasts less than a minute). Two missions out of five take place in the same area, with the perspective shifting from daytime to nighttime, which does help to get familiar with the layout of the area for the next mission immediately, but offers very little in terms of surprise. That being said, there is a bank heist included which was fun to pull off by dumping a sedative in the ventilation system and then sneaking around to pilfer everything while everyone is knocked unconscious. All-in-all: Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is not the best Dishonored game, but still a very solid game that ends the Dishonored story on a satisfying note. It provides closure for the narrative arc of the Outsider, Daud and Billie Lurk after Empress Emily, Corvo and Delilah Copperspoon had their apotheosis in Dishonored 2. And it ends the story on a definitive note: with the Outsider now gone, there's nobody to determine who receives the power of the Void (the realm outside the one of the living), effectively eliminating a key feature of Dishonored: the supernatural abilities. Until the time comes when it is deemed right to return to the world of Dishonored with a new crisis to tackle, Arkane Studios has stated the series goes into indefinite hibernation and will remain there for now. Ironically, Dishonored has made such a big splash in the videogame world that it is well worth honoring, by playing all three games whenever you see the opportunity arise! Most frustrating trophy - ... NONE! Thanks to the loosened restrictions in the trophy list, there's no frustrating trophy in this game. No High Chaos or Low Chaos ending to work towards, saving right at the end when you need to make the last big decision is enough to get both endings in the time span of ten minutes. The only one that may provide some frustration, is the one where you need to replay the game in Original Game Plus, which replaces Billie's powers with Corvo's. You can easily just power through the levels on the easiest difficulty and kill everyone in sight to reach the finish in less than a day.
