Popular Post Redgrave
#263: Platinum Trophy - Metro Exodus I played the first two games in the winter years ago and I figured I would finish the trilogy off during the same winter month because nothing says winter and holiday cheer like fighting bandits, mutants, and radiation in a post-apocalyptic Russian landscape. But yeah, I had wanted to play Exodus for a while but waited until I could get the PS5 version to take advantage of the features and getting all the DLC that comes with it. It had been a long time since I had played the previous two but I remember really liking them and I feel like Exodus is just as good as the previous two. Instead of a metro system while occasionally heading outside into the ruins of Moscow, in Exodus as the title implies is basically Artyom, his tomboy wife Anna, and the other Spartans leaving the metro on a train with the dream to find another place free of radiation and mutants while coming across other people realizing they aren't the only survivors out in the world. While I am pretty sure there are less chapters in Exodus compared to the previous two games, the game makes up for it by having them take place on a few maps that are big enough to where they are kind of open-world but not really since the story path is pretty straightforward and there's not much in the way of side-quests or really NPC's to talk to and interact with like you would normally expect in a big map. Each map is mostly different with only two of them being kind of similar but still different enough to where there is enough variety and all take place in real places. The first place you visit is The Volga which in real life is a nice river but in Exodus it's a swamp run by cultists that worship a giant catfish. Had this taken place in America this premise most definitely would have been in Louisiana. After that is a place called Yamantau which is a mountain base but the twist there I won't spoil. The level is brief and linear so there's no real exploration like the other maps. After that is the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan which is a desert with oil fields run by a Baron and the only thing keeping the place from feeling like Mad Max was that the people there don't drive around in scrapped together race cars and dune buggies. The third is Taiga with another twist I won't mention because I thought it was good, but it's surprisingly well off for the most part since it seems like the bombs didn't hit it too hard. The final level is ominously named Dead City that takes place in Novosibirsk and because of the radiation level being so high it's the only place without bandits understandably. Notice that I didn't say there's no mutants though. The only other hubworld you get is the train called Aurora that you get to interact with the other Spartan members and hear them talk about stuff for character building and exposition, so beyond that and getting collectibles there isn't really much to do on it. That said, the idea of an armored train that's kind of a makeshift home and exploring different landscapes is a pretty comfy idea to me. It is kind of strange how apparently the train tracks they were on weren't blown up but the game does take place over the course of almost a year and so they could have run into off-screen problems like destroyed tracks or something. Or maybe you're just not supposed to think about it. Anyway gameplay is pretty similar to the previous two where you can stealth or shoot your way through encounters but there's also kind of a crafting element to it to where you can collect resources and craft ammo or use them to repair your mask and clean your guns which will get dirty pretty often. There's no trading in this game like the previous two so using bullets as currency isn't a thing and what you loot is basically what you keep which ranges from resources to weapon attachments to customize your guns. But also like the previous two games, there is a moral system which is unfortunately not much clear than the previous two games because what causes you to lose or gain moral points that affect certain outcomes can be really vague and unclear. Thankfully though, the first area in the game, The Volga, is probably the worst of it because apparently there are really specific things you have to do in order to get the good outcome of that chapter. When doing my first playthrough I wound up replaying the chapter twice because I tried to get the good ending in my first playthrough but because of something I have no idea what I even did I wound up getting the bad ending and so I just accepted it and went for the bad ending of the game which in hindsight I guess is fine because I like to end a game on the good ending if I can help it. But anyway, what you do in The Volga to get the ending seems to be affected by how you treat the cultists. Supposedly all you have to do is not kill any of them and you're clear, but I know for a fact I didn't and I still got the bad ending for some reason. Supposedly you can get negative moral points by shining a light in their face because they hate technology which I know I did because the room a group of prisoners were in was too dark for me to see. So if that is the case then it's really unfair that something that specific can just negate the good ending. The only other thing I suspect could have affected it was that I killed their stupid big catfish for the trophy but people also said they killed the fish and still got the good ending. You're told by Anna and the others that the cultists shouldn't be shot at because they are just misguided but they tried to kill me and they feed people to their fish so as far as I'm concerned I should be allowed to feed them all to their dumb fish. And by all of them I don't mean just the men, but the women and the children too. I hate them! Thankfully though it didn't give me any trouble on my second playthrough but I did back up my save just in case. The levels later are pretty easy to get the good ending on although in The Caspian you're supposed to free slaves and I guess if you don't save a couple very specific ones that you can easily miss you won't get the good ending there either. Taiga has a trophy tied to being stealthy the whole level, so you're guaranteed the good ending if you do that and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be because there's a lot of ways to approach the areas and can even skip a couple. Dead City as far as I know doesn't have any moral point related things since the only enemies there are mutants. If anything I guess it's just the culmination of all your moral points to see which ending you get. Accompanying you throughout the journey are the other Spartans from the order led by Anna's father and depending on the outcomes of each chapter there are either sad moments or there are nice bonding moments. On the bad path I really wound up hating Alyosha because he basically throws out all the brotherly love and acts like a passive-aggressive dickhead towards Artyom over a woman he barely met a day ago. But perhaps the best of them all is Artyom's wife Anna who is not only a beautiful tomboy babe but she acts sweet and caring even on the bad ending path. On the good ending path along with giving hugs and having a moment where you can have her lay her head on your lap, she kind of gushes about how much she loves Artyom (you) during the wind down moments on the Aurora and that more people should act like you. Truly the wife material you would want in such a horribly radiated landscape full of mutants and bandits. On top of that, I played with the Russian dub and it could be my bias but I found her voice in the Russian audio rather nice. I have already gone over the moral system so I won't repeat it for the trophies but apart from that the trophies are kind of similar to the previous games where there is some misc stuff like being stealthy in some sections or getting a certain amount of kills with specific weapons. I don't remember if it was like it in the previous games but it's pretty easy to farm kills since you can just do a quicksave and then reload and the kills will count. There is also a Ranger Hardcore difficulty trophy but there's a glitch that at this point might as well be safe to say won't ever get patched that lets you get the trophy without doing a full second playthrough. So yeah, that's Metro Exodus and I guess that's it for the whole trilogy that I definitely hold something of a soft spot for. I guess it doesn't look like there will be another one because one of the lead devs died recently among other political events I don't think I need to elaborate on and so I guess I'm just glad Exodus got to be made. I did read that there were other books in the series that take place beyond Moscow, one of which is called The Roots of Heaven that I read a summary on. In that one, it takes place in Italy and because of all the stuff that happens in it I could see it being a very great game. On top of that, the Sam's Story DLC could probably lead to sequel potential too, but I guess for now I will just accept that Artyom and the others got the ending they deserved in the good ending.
Popular Post Darling Baphomet
189: Chicory: A Colorful Tale (23.94%) A charming little indie game. I'd been keeping my eye on it for a while, so I was pleasantly surprised when it made its way to PS+ extra. The game's about as close to a coloring book as you can get without actually being a coloring book - the world is a blank slate and you can color it in, and coloring is the mechanism for every puzzle in the game (as well as enabling traversal abilities you unlock later on). The game's... kind of a metroidvania? I mean, I'm not sure what the exact requirements for a game to be a metroidvania are, but you keep unlocking new abilities that unlock new side paths from areas you've already been, which seems to be the main thread that connects metroidvania games. Overall it's a cute colorful platformer (well, kind of? Are top down platformers a thing?) with a good story, charming characters and a significant amount of content.

Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #126 Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight After playing such a remarkable game like Persona 5 what is the game to play next? The answer is obvious: the one that feature the stellar OST of P5. Persona 5 is a great fan service game like 3 and 4, and I think playing it right after finishing 5 makes the experience even better. The main tracks of the game are present, some in original form and others remixed, but there are no bad songs in this game. Plus we can see the Phantom Thieves and the Twins interacting a bit more.
Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#87: Gravity Rush It's all Relative (14.07% - Rare) Collected every trophy. Congratulations! Even through this game got remastered for the Ps4, I always wanted to play the original version on the PsVita. In fact, along with Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush was the main reason why I got my PsVita two years ago. The game is surprisingly solid, and is a great way to show off what the Vita was capable of and that this console deserved more games like this. Gravity Rush kinda reminded me of inFamous, with a big city to explore and with your powers to use: defying gravity laws with it was great to do. Challenges were also a nice addition to the game: besides the one from the main list, I also completed the ones from the two DLC lists, and I got to say that some of them were hard and took me several hours, to get a gold medal on them. The only thing I didn't really like about the game was its story: I found it quite confusing and I really couldn't get into it, but besides that, the game is promoted, a must for every Vita owner. Gotta go for the 100%. ?
Popular Post Luckman
#604 - Sonic Frontiers Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyments: 8/10 This is one of the best Sonic games in a while and the first open-world game in the franchise. However, it needs to be polished. I spend most of the time exploring everywhere in each area at high speed. The graphic is great and smooth, especially at 60 fps. The story was great and compelling, the Cyber Space levels were great but too short, The best part was the boss fights with amazing soundtracks. Overall, It would be really interesting to see these steps of the new era of Sonic in the future. Edited December 17, 2022 by Luckman

Popular Post Moridin83
#246 Ys Origin This is the first Ys game I've played, and it was a very uneven experience. I liked it on normal, despite it being sort of like the movie "Clue" (Here's how it could have happened, or here's how it could have happened, but here's how it really happened!). But the platinum journey was not much fun. This is one of those plats that I got because I was too stubborn to quit, not because it was a well balanced challenge the whole way through. Nightmare mode exacerbates all the little issues I had with the game, from controller inputs not registering (mainly jumps depending where I was standing), to attacks that homed inappropriately (screw you Pictimos, and your ground clipping lances as well), to the fact that you're doing the exact same thing you already did 3 times, just with less room for mistakes. This is bas enough, but then the nightmare boss rush comes along to kick you where it hurts. Not only are you under leveled compared to in the game, but you don't have any blessings, and you have to worry about the game crashing. All together it makes for an incredibly tense experience, and not in a good way. After you've managed to push through all of that, you still have a completely unnecessary grind to level 60 for another trophy. Seriously, if you come within 10 levels of 60 in the course of normal gameplay, you're doing something very wrong. This makes it one of those boring, grindy, and completely unneeded trophies I despise. If this comes off as pretty negative, that's because it was. Somehow though, I still liked the game overall. Not the platinum journey, I'd recommend playing through on a dummy account on normal, unless you're up for massive frustration, or are already a Ys fan, but the game itself wasn't bad. I would say maybe I'm just a masochist, but my game choices show there's no maybe about it. ? TLDR: Game recommended, Plat not.

Popular Post Darling Baphomet
190: Sherlock: Chapter One (35.54%) Frogwares' latest entry in their series of Sherlock games is a departure from the rather traditional adventure games they'd been making. Much like the Sinking City, it's an open world investigation game featuring combat. The concept of an open world detective game is an interesting one, and the open world is a pretty one, rendered with an oil painting aesthetic. What it has gained in originality, though, it unfortunately has traded away in the quality of cases - while there are more cases overall, what cases there are feel more like side quests in an open world RPG than they do an actual game in and of themselves, like cases in the previous entries did. And while the cycle of examining evidence, following footprints / other tracks, and talking to suspects remains entertaining, I miss the more elaborate areas and puzzles of previous games. Still, it's a solid game, and one well worth playing, but I'm glad they'll be returning to the formula for their next game.

Popular Post slender_adrian
#109 Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Grind: 3/10 Time: 70+ hours aprox. Rarity: [Ultra Rare 1.1% Ultra Rare 1.95%] "I'm gonna climb the sh!t outta you!" This is probably the farthest I've been out of my comfort zone regarding to platinum games. Catherine is a classic puzzles game from 2011 and it's impressive how good it looks despite all this years, the story is great, funny and mysterious. This game on normal difficulty proved very enjoyable and entertaining, there were only 2 moments in my first run were I hadn't a clue what to do on some levels, so I looked them up online, so if you're looking for a new experience and still have a ps3 I totally recommend playing Catherine. But... when it comes of trophy hunting, the real nightmare begins!!! Let me put it simple, this platinum is 70 percent a walk in the park and the other 30 percent is base purely on skill and luck. You have to get a Gold Prize on all stages in hard, this isn't too big of a deal just the must annoying part of the story side of trophies, since there are some bosses that make some levels and especially getting the Gold Prize pretty much luck base, since it doesn't matter if you learned the route of the level since they can change/move/destroy blocks you need, sure you can improvise but in my case I was screwed 90% most of the time. Once you're done with the story side trophies, there's trophies related to a minigame, which are pretty simple using a guide. And finally there's Babel... Babel is the hardest part of this plat, 4 stages where blocks are randomized so there's not definite solution. This mode is very luck base in my opinion, I played on pairs and the first stage Altar was pretty easy, I got it on my first try. Menhir prove to be more challenging than Altar, a lot of tries until I got it with a huge luck strike and with a lot of improvisation out of the way. And there is Obelisk, the 3rd stage, personally I found this a bit easier than Menhir, it took me more time but I failed twice near the end, the only hard part for me in this stage is when the stage splits into 2 towers, if you pass that point is pretty much safe climbing. And thus is the final stage of Babel, Axis Mundi... This stage is the "hardest" of all, but I have to admit that I beat this level on my 3rd try with some devil's luck honestly. The first try I reached 80 steps, 2nd reached about 120 blocks and the 3rd one was the one, but what makes it surreal was how I was so screwed on most of the half part of the stage, I was literally on the last line of blocks still trying to climb and suddenly I got perfect patterns in the last part of the stage, seemed the game felt pity for me haha, meaning I had a safe climbing and effortlessly. 20 minutes in this last stage, and I was so happy that I finally got this platinum, those last moments where the most scared and anxious I've been in a long time haha! This was my overall experience with Babel stages, it can be more difficult or easier depending on your skill and luck. I'll rank the stages from easiest to hardest: Spoiler 1. Altar 2. Axis Mundi (purely luck based in my case) 3. Obelisk 4. Menhir All of them are hard keep that in mind! Conclusion on Babel (Pairs): This mode is randomized and depending on your skill (I'm not good at this game, very average imo) and the RNG you get it can be a decent challenge or prove to be an impossible task, but is totally doable with enough patience and by just trying and trying you'll eventually get it. Despite being discourage whenever I failed an attempt, I kept pushing myself to climb higher and higher, I failed at 133 steps on Obelisk (goal at 140 steps) and all I told myself was that if a made it up until there I could go higher, another thing that help me was that I saw this stages as some hard bosses from a Souls game, and I wasn't going to lose to one of them. If you're very skillful in this game you shouldn't have problems with babel that much especially on pairs since it's easier and if you get lucky you can get this platinum done. By the way Trisha hehehe... who would it guess it. I got very lucky in the end but hey! I really enjoyed Babel, not doing it again in a while though since I have yet to finish Full Body, but for now I'll get some rest since this nightmare is finally over! (For now) STAY GOLDEN!

Popular Post Vrisnem
The Last Campfire - The Last Campfire I hadn't even heard of this game until I saw someone talking about it on another website yesterday afternoon. I went from reading about it, to looking up a trailer, and then to stopping that trailer halfway through to go purchase it all in under five minutes. Then when my evening plans got cancelled I just played through the entire game in an evening. It's a very sweet little game and the puzzles are fun, but I wish it had been longer. I was really enjoying this one and it was over all too quickly. Aside from that, the only thing that could have really improved this game for me is if I had realised before I was already two-thirds of the way through that you could mute the narrator - I personally feel the game is better without it. Popular Post Sora9427
Platinum Trophy N.203 - Horizon Zero Dawn All trophies obtainedObtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies. And So here i am, finally joining the Group of people having played Horizon, it took a while Horizon is a Title that i had for a while (Like 2 years?) now but never started it since i was interested in it but that was it. This Summer i got with my Ps5 in Bundle Forbidden west and so i decided it was about time to play the first one! I started it on July but after the beginning and arriving at the Open world exploring part i stopped since i was more into other games at the time plus the Summer holydays and stuff in the mix. I left it until like 3 weeks ago. Then i decided to egt back into it properly, i enjoied the beginnign adn wanted to get back into it ebfore motnhs and months passed and i forgot what happened or was doing adn so i did. And What to say, i'm glad i went back into it! I Really enjoyed it! It's a nice experience, i like the gameplay A LOT, i'm doing the DLC now and i'm still not tired to use my bow or the Slingshot or the Trap gun too! The Story was nothing astronomically new i suppose but it was really interesting and kept me guessing until the end what happened and what they were gonna do or how it was gonna end, and i say i'm pretty satisfied with it! I'm glad we got a sequel because yeah the matter in here is "settled" but the Machine Menace is far from being fixed after all. I Liked the Overall open world, It's big but NOT massive which makes even roaming around on foot from fire place to fire place never boring or annoying, i rarely used the Horse option but glad it's there thanks to the DLC because when you don't have any fire in an area it would be a LOOONG time to get there otherwise. The Side quests are mostly shorts one and i'm glad for that, i don't need 20 side quest to last 30 minutes each. and the Machine variety too it's great, a lot of different ones, even if some i even forgot are in the game like the Behemoth, you almost never meet them ? Trophy Wise it's a simple Platinum, glad nothing is missable, really eased my mind, and the rest is easy enough with in-game maps too, i barely used the PSNP guide and that's always nice! Obiviously the game is far from perfect! And i have my gripes about it that i hope they got fixed in FW! Firts fo all not having a Glider (Which i think got "fixed", i remember seeing it), getting to the top of places or mountains and not being able to get down fast or travel far from it but onyl using specific point was annoying, thanfully it's not often that it happens and you cna always warp anyway. I hope for More Weapon and Armor avriety. I Basically Used the Explosive Trap with the Trap Weapon, The Explosive Slingshot and the Precision Arrow for 90% of the game, i enjoyed them of course but i never felt need to use something else. The Placable traps i never even bothered, when i did got dissapointed, the Fire Trap from the Weapon it's fine while the elctric one sucks personally. Same with some arrow types or the Machine gun weapon (I played in Italian so i don't knwo the english name), i never basically used it if not for Freezing some enemies a bit, for that it works, if the enemy is big. As For the Armor, i put the OSeram one mid-Game and Never felt the need to change it, even the new ones in the DLC are neat but nothing i feel like i need, there is not real improvement and most of it it's done by modifications and i'm not a fan of that, especially with aestethic being a part of it too, i'll get a Frozen wild armor purely because i like the look not the Strenght or resistance it offers. This are my biggest problems with it that i hope to see fixed in The 2nd one. Oh Yeah i played the game with English Voices and Italian Text, a Nice option and combo sinc eotherwise i would have played it all full ENG, Translation is pretty good 90% fo the times, sometimes i can hear and read something is not right and ifx it myself. Anyway overall it was a nice experience and i'm glad i finally played it, now i'm into the DLC and it looks pretty fun so far, and short too thankfully. I doubt i'll do the NG+ Trophies, at least for now, maybe in the future since just rushing the story will take like 8 horus so not that long. Here is the Platinum image, i forgot my last trophy was the Allies one so here is a Sleeping Aloy Spoiler This is probably my last Platinum for 2022, a really great year for me Platinum wise, it was a long while since i got so many, even if some short ones surely helped After i'm done with the DLC it's time for Samurai Maiden, then Some R&C, after Probably P4Golden is out so there is that and THEN i'll go into Horizon Forbidden west! (Or if it's like end of february/Beginning of march maybe i'll just wait april 19 for the DLC, i'll see how it goes time wise to end all those games before i guess) Edited December 18, 2022 by Sora9427
