Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#2012 Little Witch Nobeta (EU) I bought the day one edition of this game when it hit PS4 cause I was really hyped about playing it, but it ended up just collecting dust until yesterday cause I never felt "ready" to play it. Like I knew how much fun I'd have with it and have just been feeling like I didn't deserve to have that much fun yet, so I ended up postponing it for over a year lol So yesterday I finally felt like the mood was right, felt really good about myself and decided to finally indulge in this little treat, and oh wow, I had high expectations for this game already and it even managed to exceed them! It's on the short side so I managed to beat it in one 14 hour sitting yesterday, but it's such an enjoyable little adventure and I was hooked all the way through. Had one of my best days in a while with this little gem :3
Popular Post Moridin83
#303 Granblue Fantasy: Relink I was looking forward to this for a while. I'm a fan of the franchise, and an ARPG game seemed like a cool vehicle to explore the world, and it was. The story feels very much like it was written by the same people behind the mobile game. Grand stakes and character moments intertwine, but without any real chance that things will end badly. That's just not how GBF rolls, and if you're looking for that in your game, you will be disappointed. Otherwise, it was a decent story, on the short side, and fitting for the world and cast. The graphics are pretty good, although they definitely look better in motion than in the still shots from fate episodes, where some of the rough edges are more noticeable. The music is a standout, which shouldn't surprise anyone familiar with the mobile game. Not every piece is amazing, but the boss themes (Versa and Proto in particular) are really good, and help make the grind less unpleasant. Speaking of the grind, there's a lot of it. This also shouldn't surprise anyone who knows the original, but you'll be grinding for upgrade mats, uncap mats, curios, tickets, final weapons. Basically everything in the endgame is a grind. It gives you something to do, but be prepared for repeating a small number of missions a lot of times. This is especially true if you intend to play mostly solo with the AI. The AI is the other big thing to notice in the game. In story mode, and in missions from easy through Extreme, and even into Maniac, it's actually pretty good. It reacts well, will dodge far more effectively than you're liable to early on, and is very good at handling its business. Unfortunately that changes a lot when you hit the highest levels of missions. The AI is miserable in multi monster battles, not prioritizing your target, meaning you may have 2 or even 3 monsters in enrage mode at the same time, and it won't reliably split SBAs or perform any other stalling or sequence breaking techniques. You'll also need to spend a huge amount of additional time to gear a full team to successfully handle the later missions, especially in anything like a reasonable time. An average online clear for Proto is 4-8 mins. Offline I've seen people say they're lucky to double that. None of this is to say you can't do it, but it's a significantly longer and more painful process, and I could see it severely impacting your enjoyment. All that is basically to say the game will be much more fun if you play in the near future when there's still a large online community and a lower bar to entry. In the end, I'd definitely recommend this if you're playing soon and don't mind going online. Otherwise, it's a more conditional recommendation.
Popular Post disaster500
#107 - inFAMOUS - 10.37% Personal Difficulty - 3/10 I've played both Second Son and First Light, so playing this for free with PS Plus was inevitable. Anyway, in inFAMOUS you play as Cole MacGrath, a courier delivering packages, when one of the packages he's delivering explodes and destroys half of the city. Somehow, Cole is only slightly injured, and soon after realises he has electricity powers. Unfortunately though, the blast coincided with a plague, causing the the place to be quarantined. Within days there were riots, and gangs formed. Cole and his best friend Zeke need to get out of quarantine, and after trying and failing, are contacted by an FBI agent. She instructs them to find a mysterious device called the Ray Sphere, in exchange for getting out of the city, and that's what most of the game is spent doing. inFAMOUS plays like a third-person shooter, except instead of guns you mash R1 to shoot lightning. You gain a variety of other electricity powers, including grenades, rockets, shockwaves and summoning lightning from the sky. These can be upgraded with different upgrades depending on your karma, because you can play good, or evil. It's a lot of fun. The game does have some minor flaws though, mostly attributing to its age. The framerate is all over the place (pretty standard for a PS3 game), and there's a lot of QoL missing, particularly for the blast shards. Cole also has magnet hands, whilst you're trying to parkour, you'll just magically be drawn to everything and it can be difficult to move in the way you intended sometimes. If you dare jump whilst on the same hemisphere as a pole, Cole will jump to it, instead of simply jumping forwards like you probably wanted to. The trophy list is pretty average. You'll need 2 playthroughs, one good and one evil. One of those also has to be on Hard difficulty, which isn't that difficult, but makes enemies too tanky imo. You'll also need to get all powers, complete all side missions, do all stunts and collect the dreaded blast shards. There are 350 of these around the map, and they aren't tracked, so you better mark them off a map yourself. You'll be running around the map for hours if you have one left and don't know where it is. Overall, inFAMOUS had its fair share of PS3-era jank, but it was still fun and very much worth playing if you've played only the newer games. I also want to play inFAMOUS 2 and Festival of Blood for the full series completion, but the UGC servers appear to be very unstable atm, so I'll wait for when those are working properly. I think next will be Ratchet: Gladiator (or Deadlocked, depending on where you're from).
Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #53 - Evil West (March 23, 2024) Trophy Statistics Corny 3rd person brawler/shooter in the God of War vein by the devs who did the Shadow Warrior modern titles. It has a pretty stupid story but the gameplay is extremely satisfying. Perfect for myself in that it is very linear, with easily snagged collectibles. Awesome gadgets, fantastic monster designs, but disappointing in there are 2 playthroughs required. Do not go for the Evil difficulty playthrough first as that trophy can bug out; save it for NG+. That difficulty can be pretty draining as it is mostly a test of dodging and patience as everything is a mega bullet sponge. If you want to just blow up nasty monsters and vampires with Electropunk Weird West gadgets this game is any easy recommend!
Popular Post fischyyyOfficial
#187 GRAND THEFT AUTO IV + 100% Completion - Taking A Liberty ( 0,2% Ultra Rare / 0,95% Ultra Rare ) Time to 100% the Game : 75 Hours Completed in 1 week, 4 days - vacation 😉 Difficulty : 4 / 10 Game Rating : back in the days 10.0 out of 10.0, nowadays 6.0 out of 10.0 Personal impression : What can I say. It is a masterpiece. The story itself is worth to play the game. The DLC's are great. It is just an amazing game and reminds me why I loved it as a little boy so much. Well nowadays it is not so much fun to get back to PS3 gaming while you are used to the PS5. The controls feels clunky and the gameplay runs not so smooth anymore. The Multiplayer is pure pain and without boosting almost impossible. Still a masterpiece and I have it in good mind. Since I have now 3 times GTA 3 platinium, 3 times Vice City platninum, 4 times San Andreas platinium and now this. GTA 5 is the only game I am missing so far from this franchise. So I guess I will have to give it a go next 😉

A really fun and relaxing game. Nice visuals and art style. Nothing difficult in terms of trophies. Finshing the levels and collecting all the gems, dragons and eggs. Popular Post reaperveteran86
I got a few shorter/easier platinums as preparation for my 400th. platinum milestone. Platinum #396 Tiny Hands Adventure Goalkeeper - 45,68% A bad (and cheap) Crash Bandicoot clone with questionable hitboxes that leads to unfair deaths and a very unappealing protagonist that looks like a rejected character from Barney the Dinosaur. The soundtrack in this game is much to epic for the things that happen on screen (and sounds like something you might hear in the menu screen of an offroad themed racing game). Platinum #397 Lara Croft GO A true adventurer - 76,81% I think most people here have the platinum for this turn based puzzle game. I played most of it 9 months ago, lost interest in it near the end and finished the rest now (which took roughly half an hour to do). Platinum #398 Moon Raider (EU) Moon Walker - 51,58% A 2D Jump `n Run/Shooter with a pretty straight forward platinum (play through the game and find one upgrade and bonus room per world and your done). Not bad and the artstyle and gameplay reminded me a bit of a Wayforward game. Platinum #399 Skater XL (EU) Trophy Hunter - 9,44% Very chill skateboarding simulation and platinum trophy. You have no real goals in this game (they added challenges, but nothing of that is required for the platinum) and it feels more like an experience than a typical game. The trophy I had the most trouble with was Treflip Master, for making 10 Treflips in a row, which seemed impossible, but after switching my stand from regular to goofy I got this trophy first try. The game has a few grindier trophies (doing manuals for 1 hour, bail 1000 times) but it wasn`t too bad. Like 99% of players, who get this platinum, I used the glitch to get the Around the world trophy (travel over 40. 075km) and got this 2000 hours trophy in 50 minutes. I also really like the soundtrack and a few songs (like Future Islands - Seasons (waiting on you), Silversun Pickups - Well Thought Out Twinkles and Interpol - The Heinrich Maneuver) even found their way in my playlist.
Popular Post SirDave1988
#178 Jak 3 (Vita) Fait Accompli For Stamina and Time On Your Hands and an insatiable need for completion. And with that, the original Jak trilogy is now fully complete across all 3 systems that support trophies for it. It took me about 10 years in all, started on the PS3, finished the PS4 versions, then I gave up on the Vita versions for a long time as the ports were pretty bad, so much so that I found it hard to control and just finish the games. But after finishing the Ratchet & Clank 2 Vita port (which came with it's own control difficulties), I became inspired to go back and finish off the Jak 2 and 3 Vita platinums. After replaying both Jak 2 and 3, I've grown to like Jak 3 more and would put it up there with Jak 2, they're both very good, yet tough games even by modern standards. I would recommend not playing both on the Vita though, the slowdown is abysmal at times and it is tricky to control, making a tough game needlessly harder. Play the PS3 or PS4 versions, or heck, even the original PS2 titles. I would say that's the whole Jak series complete, as I have even previously platinumed Jak X. However, Sony have just put Jak and Daxter : The Lost Frontier on PS Plus Premium, which I have previously never played, so I'm interested to see what that is like, and fix up 100% completing the entire Jak series. There won't be another like Toriyama. Anyway, the game was fun. There was a lot of RPG jank though. So much fetch quests. Not even counting the sub-stories. And it was funny how they gave Goku one last fight against Kid Buu. Couldn't let the final fight go to Vegeta. But it did that thing where the main theme plays and I'm a huge sucker for that, so I can't fault it. Popular Post shadaik
Plat #147 - 100% #224 Fall Guys Ultimate Fall Guy Acquire all other trophies PS4 I've been ignoring Fall Guys for quite some time. Much like Among Us, this is a game that got its hype during the Covid pandemic, and it was one I didn't even glance at due to it being an online multiplayer title. But cultural osmosis and the allure of being free can hollow out the toughest boulder until the boulder is no longer conflicted. And then is promised an ass-whooping, because this game is rated a 10/10 in difficulty. That whooping never came. See, the difficulty of this is mostly held aloft by people who are in denial about the game having become so much easier and who want to protect their precious plat they got when it was still hellishly hard to get. Yet, the previous plat-stopper, Infallibe, for winning five times consecutively, isn't even the toughest trophy anymore. The game has casual rounds now where winning five times in a row is easy, because everybody who survives the last round in those modes wins. Instead, the plat-stopper is now Low Baller, an extremely luck-based and maybe even bugged trophy for winning a team game with exactly one goal. That one is either bugged or poorly phrased. Many people have reported they got the trophy in games that resulted with anything but games won with a score of 1-0. I myself got the trophy after winning 2-1 in the first round and then loosing something like 4-9 in the second. Which works out to "winning with one only point" in no system of maths I've ever seen. Note that it's not "winning by one point", because then I'd have gotten that trophy weeks earlier. Though it might actually mean "win a game with you making one, and only one, point". Anyway, I finally jumped in when, in November 23, Infallible became laughably easy for a few weeks. There was a mode back then with only one player, guaranteeing a victory for anybody able to make it to the end. I was able to quickly customize my fall guy. I hope the idea gets across, he's supposed to look like a freshly cooked ear of corn. With something in his left eye Easy to do early on, but I kept him. It was a fun idea that just feels very much like my exact brand of using creative tools like these. Just very me. And everything else in here is just the purity of a grind that knows what it is. Race across colorful obstacle courses, getting the odd first place. Everything will just unlock by playing this game long enough, except maybe for the squad-based trophies. Low Baller I talked about, Squad Goals I got playing with a boosting group for Low Baller that didn't work out for me. Oh, and getting some items from the Premium Season Pass, which can be unlocked for free after three goes of the Standard Premium Pass earn enough currency to do so. Some points subtracted from the list for not making me engage with the new creative mode. Other than that, it's a perfect showcase of what's on offer. There was only one last thing to be done before I'd delete this off my drive. I created a short 3-minute course of my own for anybody who'd like to try. So, here's Zoo Zoom: Have fun, and don't feed the hippos! Oh, and the plat, of course. There are more stacks here, but I won't be going for those. While I really liked Fall Guys in the end, playing one stack blocks the others. This can be remedied by disconnecting my Epic account and connecting to a new one, but that is too much of a hassle for me. Maybe if they ever fix that, which seems unlikely. Popular Post Thrillhelm
#3513 Skull & Bones Difficulty 3,5/10 Time to platinum 50 hours Fun: 3/10 One day, people will say this is the first nail in Ubisoft's coffin. A decade in the making, a budget higher than Red Dead Redemption 2, and we get a pirate game that's missing integral parts and gets dripped down to seafaring and naval combat. I could write tons of pages why this game is such a failure, but by now that's old news, Ubisoft called it a AAAA game that barely has game elements in it, and they feel so detached from what people expect from a pirate game. So you cannot leave your ship except for walking around in pirate hideouts and the two big pirate towns, St. Anne and Not-Singapore, and barely interact with NPCs other than the most boring conversations or business. No games, no gambling, not even drinking, the good stuff Black Flag had. You will set sail to boredom, as you will grind a lot because the game has some roadblocks ahead. Progression is slow, getting a new ship or even better weapons take forever since you will need blueprints for everything. No blueprint for a better ship? Have fun fighting against a pirate fleet three levels above you so the campaign can continue. Campaign is a generous term since its basically the pirate kingpins telling you what to do and giving you exposition, but you never experience that yourself. That doesn't matter much since your own character is one-dimensional, a doll you put clothes on. I never felt any connection to my character, much less the ship and the replaceable crew. So you can sail around, which is sometimes nice because the game has some great sea mechanics, the graphics look great - but its such a chore because the wind tends to blow into your sails head on and slows you down. Naval combat has no tactical depth since its more like a third person shooter, not rooted in any real-life mechanics. Its a dumbed down naval combat, making Black Flag's superior naval combat mechanics look like rocket science. Getting from A to B will also test your patience, especially when you get wrecked because you meet overpowered enemies that tear you into shreds in no time. Other things that annoy me is the fictional version of the Indian Ocean, so you don't see any historical accuracy or at least the pseudo-history the Assassin's Creed games have to offer. I thing thats because the subject of slavery is missing in this world since it would cause some controversy. The game also has some minor woke vibes, more than any pirate vibes. You hardly do pirate stuff, and if you do its not animated. You get a cutscene of your crew entering a vessel, but no combat, or any variation. Do not fear any person with a weapon since this game only has naval combat. There are so many glimpses of what could have been, but the design choices are baffling me, its like you get a castrated version of a pirate game, about thirty percent of what people have in mind for that genre. Exploring gets not rewarded, combat gets dull, even sailing is a boring chore, with a ship that actually has stamina which gets depleted way too fast (the dumbest mechanic in this game). The platinum trophy looks nice, reminds me of Black Sails or Our Flag Means Death, but you will suffer for that. Instead of cool stuff like fighting the sea monster or a ghost ship they want you to harvest 10,000 pieces of Jute with a boring minigame for hours. Until last week one trophy was impossible to get because they did not activate the chat, among other things - Skull and Bones is not great at explaining things, the pace is overall needlessly slow, that alone is a combination that kills your enjoyment. Skip this game. Its not worth your time and effort, and it is sad to see how the great Ubisoft has fallen. The course is set to disappointment with Skull & Bones, and it deserves to sail into the next maelstrom. Release the kraken on this one. 17
