I remember playing this when it came out on PC a couple of years back. But since keyboard/mouse is a combination I'll never understand, I gave up on it quickly.

When I saw Bastion again popping up on PS4, I had a chance to redeem myself and decided to give it another shot. And it was worth it, boy oh boy.

What a great game this is, I just loved every minute of it. Graphics are stylish and pretty to look at, the controls are tight, and the story ain't half bad either.

The only thing that bugged me was the occasional lag. It seemed like every time the game was on for more than a couple of hours, it started freezing like a nuclear winter.

I played it on PS4, so I don't know if the lag occurs on Vita. God knows we don't need more Skyrim/Fallout freezes, those were enough thank you very much.

I definitely recommend Bastion to basically every gamer out there. It's a shame it hasn't been recognized more, even though it's from the same guys that made Transistor.

So pick it up, play it, enjoy it, and thank me later (you're welcome, by the way)

If it wasn't for the challenges I would have probably picked up the PS4 version already and plated it over again because the single player portion of the game is excelent and one of the best platformers available for playstation.

 

Challenges ruined the game in my opinion. Boring, repetitive and pointless grind. I really hope not to see this kind of trophy in the next Rayman game.

#36. Dead Nation

 

Pretty fun and simple game. I don't think it was a very hard plat, it just took some time to do the 4 playthroughs or so. Some parts of levels were challenging on Morbid difficulty but not too many. This is a great game for just winding down for the day and mindlessly killing hoards of zombies. Definitely worth the $0.88 I paid for it in a flash sale.

You Done Good - Bastion Platinum

 

Latest one is Bastion, and it's definitely one of my favorite plats since Supergiant Games is one of my favorite developers. 

 

Toughest trophies were definitely the all 10 idol challenges for the Who Knows Where trips, especially the Stranger's, where it's 30 rounds. Once you find your personal perfect weapon loadout though, it becomes immensely satisfying mowing down enemies even with the idols activated. Very rewarding game and platinum, highly recommended if you haven't played it yet! Also pick up Supergiant's other game Transistor, which is also excellent in its own right.

This game was pretty easy. If you have platinumed LittleBigPlanet 1 then it will be real easy for you (Maybe).

Acing the levels in some cases were annoying but with some patience they can be completed.

First of all: thank you very much to Blue Flare for his guide. Really saved my sanity esp. in getting the last trophy.

 

wow... what a cute trophy icon? is that a child friendly, easy and relaxing game?? NO!!!! 2 WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS GAME: DARK AND FRUSTRATING!!!  Like seriously, while playing Chapter 2, I am already planning to give this as a Birthday/Christmas present to my Mortal Enemy. Good thing that I loved Chapter 3.

 

 

• Story-wise, as said, it has dark theme, this is one of the few reason why I continued to play this game, I want to know what will happen.
• Gameplay-wise... *sigh* how could I even describe it... well for starter, it is a puzzle game, in the entire game, you control this firefly thingies that Mion follow, a girl who doesn't seems to know what "run" is and has no common sense in avoiding hazards and stopping at cliffs(oooh sounds like Yorda, but i think Mion is better than Yorda since Mion doesn't move without your guidance)... getting used to controls is the first step in one frustrating day...
• Trophy-wise... got used to controls? no longer frustrated on how slow Mion is? great... you are now ready to challenge the most frustrating part of the game... getting the trophies... this will definitely test your focus, patience, and perhaps luck...   Concentration and   You're Just Naturally Lucky? could freaking get lost and go to hell.

 

well... TLDR time - want a puzzle game with dark story to test your patience? this is your game... it is a good game and sometimes, enjoyable... I just find some stages really BS (2-3 and 4-3) but after hearing the trophy pop sounds, it feels really goooood...

Congrats on finishing the challenges and getting the plat. I felt the same way about the challenges. Although, I wouldn't go as far as saying they ruined the game. At times I enjoyed doing them each day but it reached a point where they were just a grind and lacked variety. Fortunately the SP was excellent as you said. One of my favorite platformers in a while.

Platinum #184: LA COPS

A poor attempt at trying a 3D Hotline Miami - the first of im sure many Hotline Miami clones.

I guess trying to make it 3D is somewhat admirable in the rather dubious realm of game clones, but where Hotline Miami is tough but fair, this feels distinctly unfair. Poor controls and very limited scope, combined with a squandering of what could have been a cool aesthetic makes this feel a vit of a chore, although a mercifully short one, and one very generous with the trophies.

Not a total failure, but far from good.

THE EVIL WITHIN - NEW 100%

 

The Evil Within is not my latest platinum, but it's my recent and new one 100%. I decided to do this because the game was such a wonderful surprise to me as a horror fan, Mikami nailed the main game. Now if the dlc featuring Kidman, he repeats the success and adds a new level of experience. I spent hours in both parts reading and listening all the dialogues and texts, just to understand more and more of this wonderful world created by Mikami

 

 

 

 

If that been said, i hope the sequel comes sooner than later, because of the recent and sad news about Silent Hills been canceled, im happy at least that a new and wonderful survivor horror game was born.

Yeah... challenges were fine for the first weeks but after a while it starts to get old with the lack of variety... No way I'm touching the PS4 or Vita version like I did with Origins... I had enough with the challenges.

Game Rating: 9/10

Difficulty: 4/10

 

Oh man, I adore this game - its the only Rockstar game that I've enjoyed and played to death - quiet literally with that ending!
I first played this game nearly 4 years ago and completed the story and practically all of the side content, but my OCD trophy hunting had not fully developed yet and so I left the game at around 60% trophy completion. This bugged me for years so when I had the chance to grab the complete edition I jumped at it - all of the DLC was included which was great!
I started from the beginning of the game again and was amazed at how little I remembered which was good (cause I needed to 100% it this time)! 
The story dragged a tad towards the end, perhaps its cause I knew what was coming? 
The trophies are easy just a grind - finding a Chevrolet Van took a while, and then millions of them appeared at once, pfft, typical!
I will continue to hope that one day a sequel will be made and if it is then ill be first in line to get it.

 

Well thats all I can tell you about the game, I suppose?

A really enjoyable game all the way around. Story was solid, weapons were fun, and the game played great. Uber wasn't really that bad, even for someone who sucks at FPS like me.
