Popular Post TheLakota
It's finally over!!! The beast that is UFC 09 is dead! Platinum Obtain all Gold, Silver, and Bronze Trophies! 0.67% ULTRA RARE The main game was quite enjoyable since I'm a hardcore fan of MMA, but the online mode could be particularly brutal at times due to the state of the servers. Big ups to Raw_of_Elsass for sticking with it though and being a great boosting partner for that friggin' Gold Digger trophy. Onward!

Popular Post skiptracing
#26. Until Dawn Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Alright, so getting the platinum might have affected my overall enjoyment of the game, but I still didn't like Until Dawn all that much. It might be because I started it expecting something awesome because of how positives all the reviews were. The story was really meh to me and it didn't intrigue me at all. Getting the platinum wasn't hard but frustrated me because of a bug that I encountered while on my 'This Is THE End' playthrough. I had to uninstall the game and when I did, I had to restart the playthrough. I won't say it wasn't good because I did enjoy it, to an extent.
Popular Post Komrade_Konrad
#19 - Resogun (Vita) I came, I saw, I blew stuff up Difficulty - 6/10 (Solo) Enjoyment - 7/10 Resogun was a pretty solid shmup and solidly kicked my ass for the first couple playthroughs until I figured out the mechanics and got a feel for the ships. Overall not incredibly difficult, but I still struggled A LOT on certain trophies like saving everyone (which I should have done on the easiest difficulty) and beating the game on Veteran. Stylistically very cool with a lot of interesting mechanics and varied ship design/handling. After getting through the game on Veteran, the 1CC challenge really wasn't bad. I did the 1CC run with Phobos and the only difficult thing was outrunning certain bosses which is much much easier with Nemesis which I had to use for the Veteran run because Phobos was too slow. Overall solid and pretty game, but the levels did get a bit long. I would have preferred shorter levels and more bosses as some of them dragged on longer than they needed to. #20 Mirror's Edge Over the Edge Difficulty - 7/10 Enjoyment - 9/10 I'd been sitting on this plat for a week or two, so I could pop it as #20, and I'm glad I can finally claim it. Mirror's Edge is a fantastic and stylistically beautiful game that plays like a dream (when it's working). I fell in love with this game the second I started playing it and decided immediately that I had to get the platinum. While a little unconventional, the controls work quite well, and as long as you understand how to force the game to interpret the inputs to do what you want them to do, you can pull off some really cool looking parkour. That said, there are certain contextual actions in specific parts of the game that got me killed over and over and over because they didn't want to play ball (I'm looking at you Chapter 2 Pipes, assorted springboards, and Atrium scaffolding). Despite being an Ultra Rare trophy, I didn't find this platinum to be too unreasonable to get. It requires a couple playthroughs plus spreedruns of every level and time trials. The playthroughs were fair, and I even had an easier time with the hard mode run compared to the pacifist normal run. For the most part, the speedruns are also fair. They require practice, but most can be done with a handful of attempts and optimization and leave plenty of time to spare for mistakes. Chapter 2's speedrun is a lot tighter but still doable especially if you check out some of the shortcuts people have found over the years. The time trials, while shorter than the speedruns, have tighter timing requirements to get 3 star ratings. That said, you only need a couple 3 star ratings for the plat and the rest can be 2 star which are easily achievable once you plot a route. I would categorize the plat as hard, but fair (for the most part). Oh and the story is garbage, but it doesn't matter because the gameplay is so fun!
Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
DIFFICULTY: 5/10 FUN FACTOR: 7/10 at first, then 3/10 for grinding The largest pain in the ass for me was getting the online trophy where you had to play hunt in a premade party of four people. From there, it's tedious grinding, the game. Everything you need to do requires grinding weapon/skill usage for both monsters and hunters. Some monsters are fun to play like the Behemoth, Gorgon, and Wraith which made getting their skills to 3 stars fun. Only later I found I that I didn't need the DLC monsters/hunters 3 stars (which I got the ultimate edition that has all of the character DLC). When I found that out, I cried a little because the most fun to play as monsters were not required. Some of the weapon challenges for the medics were a pain to do. I mainly did 95% of the challenges vs the unpredictable AI just to try to get some fun. If you plan to get this game for the trophies, be sure to get a few boosting partners to make it go by faster.

Popular Post D-Tron
#101 - SpongBob HeroPants The Real Hero From Hardcore Gamer all the way down to filthy casual with a single platinum; What am I becoming? I still love SpongeBob though. Say what you want about the later seasons but I grew up with this cartoon and I loved it. This one is based off of the newer SpongeBob movie: Sponge out of Water. I saw it with two of my best friends and my younger brother on opening weekend and it exceeded all of our expectations (to be fair though, we didn't have much to begin with). 80% of the movie used the classic animation all SpongeBob fans knew and love and it relied more on the quirky and clever humor of the earlier seasons of SpongBob rather than the grotesque humor the later seasons had. Unfortunately, the game based off of the movie is nothing more than that. Lots of licensed games that release alongside movies are generally bad and this one was no exception. That's why it took me 5 days to complete; it was just so boring and barebones. It was nice that it was a follow up to the story the movie had but there was so much more they could have added if they had decided to delay it and make it a full fledged game rather than just rush it in time to release alongside the movie. For starters, all characters have dialogue that's almost 100% similar to each other. It's as if they only put effort into SpongeBob's dialogue and then said "Screw it. It's almost time for my lunch break." and some dimwitt copy and pasted said dialogue for all of the other 5 characters. This is probably the happiest version of Squidward I have ever seen in the history of SpongeBob. The combat is awful to. It's pretty much press to win. I don't even want to bother talking about how bad this game is. It's saying a lot when the best quality of it is an easy platinum. Screenshot of the plat is pretty cringeworthy to if you don't know what Plank-Ton is. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 3/10

Popular Post amebapiko
Bloodborne Bloodborne Despite starting on Dark Souls II I'm a huge fan of the Souls series; their mystery, difficulty and atmosphere make for a one of a kind experience for me. I got this around original release and I have no idea why I stopped playing it, just under a week ago I picked it up once again. It actually took me two sessions or so to 'get back into it' as I was re-learning the game picking up in Yahar'gul, Unseen Village. From this point to platinum I enjoyed the game so much, after the Unseen Village, and really could appreciate everything. Every aspect of this game gets a great rating in my book, be it the story, the atmosphere, the level design, the boss design, all the trick weapons, list could go on. Toughest part here is the Chalice Dungeons, in particular the cursed one but it's completely do-able with some dedication which you should of acquired from getting through the game. Masterpiece of a game. Edited April 24, 2016 by ham
Popular Post TheLastSurvivorD
#46 - Alice: Madness Returns Platinum For All Other Trophies Platinum For All Other Trophies Really fun game this was to play, from start to finish. Interesting story, simple but sweet combat system (the different weapons kept everything from getting old), nice platforming and puzzles, and minigames. I LOVED the minigames so much, from the Scroll of Destiny, to the part where Alice became a giant, but my favorite was Off With Her Head from the second to last chapter. The different areas looked eye-catching and wonderful too, imagine what this game would look like if it was remastered on PS4! I honestly don't have much to dislike about the game. This was a wacky and fun game to play through, the $1.99 I paid for it was beyond a steal. (whatever that is called) Onto American McGee's Alice. Will I dislike this game like everybody else does, or will I join that very miniscule number of people who do like it?

Popular Post olimoo101
#28 Ratchet & Clank What a great game! I had a lot of fun when getting this platinum. It was a pretty easy one too although it does take a bit of grinding for the last few trophies. Its a very good trophy set too as there are several trophies in this game that I wouldn't have done otherwise. It is very quick to get through on you second playthrough (just make sure you press start and click the touchpad when any cutscenes come up). I highly recommend this game!
