How many consoles do you currently have (including handhelds)?

 

As of right now, I have 11:

  • PlayStation Vita
  • PlayStation
  • PlayStation 2
  • PlayStation 3 40GB
  • PlayStation 3 Slim 160GB
  • PlayStation 4 500GB Launch model (1TB Seagate SSHD upgrade)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB Destiny: The Taken King Limited Edition (1TB Seagate SSHD upgrade)
  • PlayStation 4 1TB Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Limited Edition
  • Xbox 360
  • Nintendo 64
  • Sega MegaDrive

 

How many consoles do you have hooked up to your TV right now?

 

  • PlayStation 2
  • PlayStation 4 (x2)

Never used the PS2 since I moved into my latest residence, but I set it up anyway when I first moved in. My original PS4 is set up permanently on my second TV with a Next Level Racing GTUltimate v2 racing chassis and only has wheel enabled racing games installed on it (plus a handful of the games my friends and I regularly LAN on - Battlefield 4, Diablo 3, Borderlands 2 - , in case we need a spare machine).

 

 

How many consoles have you broken/died on you?

 

  • PlayStation 3 (40GB Fat - YLOD)
  • PlayStation 2 (Slim - Works okay, but one of the controllers fucked out on me and needs repair)
  • PlayStation 1 (Original - CD drive just stops spinning at random intervals, locking up the console)
  • XBox 360 (RROD)
  • Nintendo 64 (Freezes randomly)
  • Sega MegaDrive (Contacts on cartridge slot are loose so have to stick a bit of folded up cardboard behind the cartridge when inserted)

While not all broken, per se, some do require some extra attention when setting up to stop faults from happening, or require reset when they freeze. The XBox 360 is a loan unit that has lived with me for the past 4 years. Friend loaned it to me so we could play Halo Reach and Gears of War online together, but he's since sold his other XBox and said if I get this one re-balled I can keep it. I used to be able to "reflow" it by wrapping it in a towel and letting it run for 15 mins, then putting it in the fridge, but that fix stopped working a while ago. It RROD's after about 5 mins playtime every time now.

 

 

EDIT: Added pre-owned PS3 Slim 160GB and Uncharted: A Thief's End Limited Edition PS4, both recently purchased.

None , but I left my PS2 when we moved to america, I still regret that decision to this very day

I have a PS4, 2 PS3s, a PS2, a Wii, a GBA, and 2 DS's. Far too many. I currently have 3 consoles on my upstairs TV (PS4, PS3, PS2), and two on my downstairs (PS3, PS2). Until the Sony generation, no console had ever died on me (Atari 2600, Intellivision, NES, SNES), but since then, I have lost 3 (PS1, PS2, PS3). I take immaculate care of my stuff (my Atari 2600 remains at my mother's house, while my SNES went to an ex-girlfriend who liked Lufia), so the dying consoles disappoint me.

 

That's just too many consoles.

My 1st gen PS3 and PS2s both died after a long life and my 360 died because that's what they all do.  Had a PS4 hard drive die on me as well.
