  2. Update #10: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - 100% Assassin's Creed Revelations - 26-->48% Powerwash Simulator - 86-->88% Disney Speedstorm - 72% Lego 2K Drive - 0-->17% The Witcher 3 - 14% Goat Simulator - 22-->25% Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection - 3-->7% Swaps (2/3) Well, had some decent progress this week spread out over five games. First of all, I finished the main story of AC Revelations. It was easily my favorite of the Ezio trilogy even though the modern day ending was once more, weird as hell. I started in on the open world and miscellaneous clean-up, going to move onto Lost Archive soon just gotta stop wandering around Constantinople aimlessly. This is the main game I want to complete before the end of the challenge, so it's time to buckle down and finish it. I made minimal progress in a few others. I finished the Warhammer DLC in Powerwash, it was much longer than Spongebob and not as fun. I'm not a fan of either IP, but the Spongebob one had a much more enjoyable story. Got a few more trophies in Goat Simulator, I still kind of hate it but it is much better with Flappy Goat out of the picture. Also, finished both of the campaigns in the original Battlefront, there's just one more trophy left in that now, and soon it will be on to Battlefront II. I like these games, but they're so repetitive that they're only fun for about an hour at a time. Finally, I started Lego 2K Drive. I have been working towards the grindy driving trophies using a pair of hair ties and the time I have to spend at work or asleep to work towards the grindy 6K miles trophy. I'm about a third of the way through the campaign, which was only about 3% towards that trophy so the AFK set-up has definitely been necessary. I'm having a ton of fun with this game, but the unnecessary grind that will also coincide with the rarest trophies on my profile feels wildly unnecessary. It also feels cheap that it requires no effort, just a basic understanding of how to rubberband a controller.

  3. Hi everyone, Here's my update for this week. I've completed Jusant this week. I really enjoyed this game a lot. It's quite relaxing and fun to play. I had to get back to some chapters to get collectibles, but other then that not a hard platinum to get. I started Chicken Police this week. So far a very enjoyable story and I like the vibe the game has. Will keep playing this the coming week. I'm also still playing Ace Attorney, but no new trophies. The game is quite long, not sure if I can complete this before the end of the challenge, but I will try. Have a great week everyone! 1. Pic-A-Pix Color (Vita) - 100% 2. 4. Two more done! And big ones too! #2: Red Dead Redemption Like Saints Row, I also played this one a very long time ago, on an old account! The difference is, I actually started this one again on THIS account in 2016. Over the course of 8 years, and three different boosting sessions, I finally got all the online done for this, and then re-did the single player plus all the 100% stuff. And you know what? It was great. Now that I'm older, I'm able to better appreciate everything this game was doing, and I already liked it to begin with! Undead Nightmare was fantastic too, one of the best DLCs ever made in my opinion. Quite a long game to complete, but worth every second. That said, if you were going to play it now, I'd recommend the PS4 version. No online trophies plus 60 FPS makes it an easy pick. #3: Dead Island Yet another game from my childhood! A cool 11 year completion on this one, this was something I played with a friend way back when we thought "4 player co-op" on the back of the box meant it actually had couch co-op. Oh well, it was still fun then, though not quite as fun now. I had a bunch of online stuff to clean up, which wasn't very fun, and the game is FAR choppier than I remember it. The game was freezing up every time I got hit, and textures took AGES to load every time I went into a new area. That said, lots of nostalgia here, but I'm not sure how well it holds up these days. I'd recommend the remaster instead. Or better yet, Dead Island 2! Which somehow only came out last year! I know I said I'd do some quick ones in my last post, yet somehow I get into a massive Rockstar game instead. Oh well! Good to get these long completions done, and only time can tell what might be next!

  8. Update 6 Been a couple of weeks since an update and finished another couple of games . Firstly The Artful Escape.....nothing difficult about this one but definitely worth a shot . In the good old days Games often had the message Winners don't do drugs....well this game doesn't need to it's an acid trip over the 6 hours playtime! Finished up the dlc and Chaos mode in Tiny Tina's Wonderland although the dlc ended up taking far too long as I didn't realise the chaos modifier when turned on made the game far more difficult than I needed to 🤦. Onto Ghostwire Tokyo Spiders Thread dlc and that will probably be all I have time for before the summer challenge. Good luck finishing up Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 84%........>100% Enderling Extinction is Forever ......100% Ghostwire Tokyo ...95% Inscription Final Fantasy VII Remake....14% The Artful Escape 0%.......>100%

  10. Update #11 Hey everyone, hope you are all having a great week 😊 I made a start on Sea of Stars, according to my PS5 I'm about 10 hours into the game. So far it has been very enjoyable, I do love an old school turn based JRPG 😁. Still not got a huge amount of trophies yet, but it looks like most things can be done in post game clean up, so I'm just enjoying the story for now and not worrying too much about it. Although I am making sure to do all the fishing at each lake I see, fishing mini games tend to be my least favourite parts of these games lol. Still not entirely sure I can finish on time, but there is another long weekend this week so got me some extra gaming time! I keep getting distracted by other games as well. I've been chipping away at professional mode on Super Crazy Rhythm Castle, and my P4 Arena score attack runs I've hit a new personal best of reaching round 12 🥳! So close to clearing my first run so it may get in the way of my backlog challenge game. That's all from me, catch you guys next week! In progress: - Sea of Stars -> 0 > 15% Completed games: - Rayman Origins - Strayed Lights - Solar Ash - Eternights - Tunic

  11. Basically, this game has been a pitiful game for at least a year, and this update is the worst of them all, which was already hard. Creative can't be the basis of this game, it should just be an add-on. Devolver Diigital brought a fun and competitive game. When Mediatonic sold out to Epic, it was the beginning of the end. Almost all skins were free, there were a few dlcs per season and they were good, 5 euros for 3 skins. Now they spam skins and recolors for quite expensively prices. There were also events where you could get items, there is nothing like that for a long time. The quality of the original maps compared to the current ones is a joke too, visually they are ugly, the gameplay is worse and they don't improve even the worst ones created with Unity. There are no llimited time shows either. They vaulted several maps with excuses like they are broken or the server doesn't support so many maps at once (XD?) I wonder what servers these people use, any online game has much more content, but they can't support 90 maps at a time with their variants? In any case, if true, they haven't fixed a single map in years. They're just lazy people who are obviously interested in having others create maps for them, so they'll just sleep in the office. We can talk about support, Mediatonic had the best support I've ever seen, while Epic is the worst, they don't know what they're talking about, they don't know how to solve the simplest problems, and, moreover their staff hides under ridiculous IDs. Talking a bit about trophies, trophies are not autopoping since years, and they will never fix it, while Mediatonic support always helped manually with it. You can't win them again either unless . unless you link and unlink epic accounts. The platinum difficulty is also a joke. Ok, before it was difficulty 10 and it was insane (even 7-8 with the glitch). With squads and temporary shows it was already a good balanced challenge. But recently we have seen shows where you could win 5 games in a row being afk, or shows where everyone wins with no effort at all, reaching the finish line in a simple race. They are laughing at those who obtained it in 2020-2021. Same with crowns, in season 1 winning a crown was an odyssey. Now the skill of the players is much lower than on day 1, but also the games last much less. There were shows where you could join with 3 alt accounts and win a crown every 30 seconds without fighting anyone, even some days where you won 30/40 shards without even reaching the finish line, pathetic. With the previous pass you could get 130 crowns without winning a single game. They have also reduced the timeout from 5 minutes to 3. There have been no real seasons for a long time, just a season pass and that's all. Their system is based on trying to sell skins while offering nothing to the player. Their next wonderful idea is to release the game on mobile, and since it won't support maps created with Unity, that's one of the reasons why they're deleting the classic maps little by little. They also trashed the mechanics, making the bean jump higher almost 4 years later for no reason. This will be an excuse for them to delete the old maps, because now on those maps you can get to places you shouldn't be able to get to. And of course it makes everything easier. In short, Epic only wants new kids who can win by luck and hopefully spend money in their store, they have pushed away all the classic and/or competitive players, it is a mediocre and noob company. I would be very surprised if they are currently making money with Fall Guys, managing the number of players they manage and seeing very few skins purchased from each pack. They will close soon, but it would be nice if they change the name of the game, since this has nothing to do with Fall Guys.

  12. #287 - Tomb Raider: Legend Platinum Name - Master of Tomb Raider Legend Hardest Trophy - The Hard Way - complete the game on Tomb Raider difficulty Difficulty - 3/10 At long last I completed a Tomb Raider game from start to finish... Lara Croft should be well known by now. The sexy alternative to Indiana Jones, she's one of the most daring British adventurers in the gaming world. With her trusted guns, lots of historical knowledge, LOTS of acrobatics and the most revealing shirt ever made, she has been raiding tombs since 1996 in various forms, styles, reboots and shirts. I have never FINISHED a Tomb Raider game, I was more of an Indiana Jones guy. I played some of them (the first one, Anniversary, whatever the fuck Angel of Darkness was supposed to be) but I never actually finished one from start to finish either because of the difficulty (first one), lack of interest (Anniversary) or the stupid ass game deleting some system files (Angel of Darkness) Seriously fuck you Angel of Darkness Now with the console in my hand, all the Uncharted games as experience and a massive discounted Tomb Raider Trilogy PS3 disc, I decided to start my adventure with the first of the "reimagined"/"rebooted"/not-the-triangle-tits-Lara game, Tomb Raider Legend. And boy did I receive a fun Charlie's Angels style intro Where are those letters coming out from??? From the intro you can simply tell that this game has no interest in being remotely realistic or even taking itself seriously. The scene opens with a young Lara Croft losing her mother in Nepal to a magical evil sword, teleporting her god-knows-where, then the entire game you go and hunt fragments of this cursed sword. You fight South American talisman monsters, evil Yakuza bosses with speed magic, use gravity turrets in Kazahstan and find the actual tomb of King Arthur under a fake museum of King Arthur. And fight his pet sea serpent of course. Also you shoot a million goons while flipping, dipping and looking sexy as hell. This game is no Uncharted so even daring to compare it with Uncharted is a blasphemy in itself Lara's CV in a nutshell The main focus point is obviously Lara Croft herself. Let's be honest, Lara Croft was designed to be crazy attractive as a main characteristic, you can see that shirt struggling under the pressure. However, 15 years old horniness aside, she's a really competent protagonist! Having all the gold medals in gymnastics available, she can perform feats that few people can do: swinging on poles, climbing at dizzying heights, doing cartwheels effortlessly while shooting goons, list goes on. For a PS2 (remastered on PS3) game, the gameplay goes super hard actually and I have to say I am impressed! The platforming is on point and you can see the weight of the moves that Lara does, together with an occasional QTE where it gives you the feeling that Lara might "slip". Lara is also assisted by a magnetic grappling hook. With this you can either grab onto swinging points or grapple objects and pull towards you. You can even do that with enemies, which was pretty funny, because of the crazy ragdoll animations this game has. There are some occasional bugs though - nastiest one is when Lara decides to "clip" through the rope she is supposed to grab or the poles that she is swinging. Thankfully, the checkpoints are very close to each other (annoyingly close sometimes) , so no real progress is ever lost if you ever die. Your average British super tomb raider on your average waterwheel puzzle Lara is assisted by her companions via the phone: the tech genius Zip and the history student/smug guy Allister. They are the guys that provide Lara with all her debriefings and info and usually gasp in shock, awe and horror at Lara's feats. They are largely useless and really annoying at times honestly, their attempt at humor often made me turn down the volume. They have that 2000s humor that often lays flat on its face and I honestly do not know why Lara even hired them since she can do 99& of the things by herself. Well, I guess the CROFT MANOR was feeling a bit empty. GET YOUR SHOES OFF THE COUCH YOU ABSOLUTE BARBARIAN! The settings in this game are wild, just like the story. The game does not focus on one culture/civilization, instead aims to cover as many maps as possible. You start off in the Bolivian jungles, just to be transported to Peru in the next level. Then, because of a clue you are sent to a Yakuza party in Japan, followed by a cold swim in Ghana. Lara blitzes across the globe and doesn't care at all whether the story makes sense or not. In that regard, I can respect the game it rarely takes itself seriously but also knows when to pull the brakes, especially when it comes to Lara's past. Lara's backstory is rather well told, when you take a break from shooting lasers from a magical sword that is. Textbook waterfall level in a Lara Croft game. Also it looks good However there's one massive downside with this game, the one issue that kept bothering me from the start of the game right until the end - the game is way too easy. I don't mean combat - even there, all you have to do is hold down the shooting button R1 and jump around and Lara kills everyone without a scratch. No I mean the platforming and the puzzles themselves. You really have NO challenge in this game, all the solutions are either instantly shown with a camera panning out or by simply " go ahead, pull lever, let the game take you to the solution". It felt super disappointing to see that the Tomb Raiding itself is the most boring aspect of the game. What's the point of giving Lara all those abilities and smarts when you are done with a puzzle with 2 jumps and 3 swings. Also like never before, the collectibles are a royal pain in the ass. Especially the Croft Manor collectibles, there's no way you could naturally stumble across many of them, they are so well hidden in such impossible places that they become more annoying the more you advance in the game. From a trophy point of view, they really were boring to get in this game. And that was my main gripe with the game - the constant feeling of "eh I am not in mood for another level". I don't know, the game never caught me personally. I was meh at the platforming sections, snoozing at the motorbike sections, "I get it already" whenever Lara was bouncing her boobs around and overall "eh I guess I finished a Tomb Raider game at long last" at the end. Which feels odd honestly. I know these games show their age, but really I expected a bit more...excitement from my part? And yes I know, I played Uncharted, but I don't think that series impacted my opinion on Legend that much. It's Legend itself that kinda did not quite deliver. Overall a decent game, right in the middle I'd say. The Trilogy collection was peanuts so if you have a PS3 sure, why not, give it a go. But now I have the following dilemma - if I got so bored by Legend, what about Anniversary and Underworld. If Anniversary is the same, then I will REALLY get bummed out and fall asleep. Should I still try Tomb Raider Anniversary? Or it's more of the same and I should just call it quits and fire up the reboots? A question for those who have played the trilogy before THE GOOD: Lara looking at its best after whatever Angel of Darkness was Competent platforming Silly story that doesn't take itself seriously Maps are actually good looking Soundtrack hits surprisingly hard THE BAD: Children's first Tomb Raider in terms of difficulty It's simply boring Zip and Allister are more annoying than quirky RECOMMENDATION - Uncharted Drake's Fortune Eyy I can finally recommend an Uncharted game! in this case specifically, the first one is the most similar to Tomb Raider Legends. Start of a series, the game not sure what it wants to be, slowly builds up to be one fun trip. Not as explosive as Uncharted 2, which is just right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PS3 GAMES BACKLOG Castlevania Mirror of Fate HD Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2 Catherine 🤢 Quantum Conundrum Tomb Raider Anniversary(?) 14. #91 - F1 2016 I thought this was a big step up from F1 2015 even if only for the fact it has a proper career mode where you can create your own driver. The actual racing itself and the overall presentation of the game felt a lot better too. As with 2015, boosting the MP trophies is a must as there's nobody online but thankfully only 5 total races and 5 total wins are required so it's a much shorter grind. Speaking of grind, the trophy list as a whole was far more straightforward this time as well, with none of the cumulative number of lap Quick Race/Time Trial trophies that 2015 had. I'll be moving onto F1 2017 and F1 24 in due course but Star Wars: Jedi Survivor and F1 Manager 23 are hopefully going to be my next two platinums. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Total Game Time: 24 hours

  15. First card done 🎊. On to card number two! My final two games were Jumping Flash! and Metal: Hellsinger. Jumping Flash! - I adored every second of this game. Playing older titles from the PS1 era have always been hit or miss for me but Jumping Flash! was a slam dunk. Metal: Hellsinger - A snappy, fun rhythm game. After Hi-Fi Rush it was great to play a game like this and keep the beat with zero issue. I understand music theory and can play an instrument, but I really struggled keeping the game's beat in Hi-Fi. Luckily I didn't have that issue with Hellsinger. My fully completed list from the left column to the right column: Gris Jumping Flash Ariel Knights Never Yield Pumpkin Jack To Hell With The Ugly Haven Metal: Hellsinger Tinykin Blood Bowl III Assassin's Creed Mirage Honkai: Star Rail Final Fantasy VII Remake What the Golf? 18. Hey Everyone Thought I'd start a thread (a first for me!) as G-Police has always had a precious place for me but doesn't ever seem to get talked about. I'm hoping there are others out there that share the love! For me, when I was 8 (31 now) my dad only had 2 games on his PC, Oregon Trail, and this. I remember being so blown away by how realistic and just damn cool this game was. The mouse and keyboard controls came really naturally to me and just felt right for the game itself. Spent hundreds of hours playing it and must have completed it around 10 times in all. I've been routinely searching the internet for signs of a remake all the years since! Hope you all enjoy the classics version release!

  19. Hey all, I stumbled across a glitch which let me unlock the speedrun trophy very easily. The steps are as follows: Starting at the commentary world hub, enter the design door. From there enter the second door (Casey) Move forward five screens (to a screen with three total doors). There will be a door in the top left that you need a goomba to jump to. Enter it. Now bring up the menu and select to start a full game speedrun. Run through world 2 as normal. You don't need to pick up any puzzle pieces. When you reach the story screen for world 3, go through the third door, with the green right arrow on it. You will now be in the epilogue. Complete it for the trophy! They key part seems to be entering the speedrun from the specific screen within the commentary world. Normally when you try to start a speedrun from commentary, you see a prompt that it will end your current session. But if you do it from here, you will be in a speedrun, but still in commentary mode! Lots of things are glitched and many of the doors are dead ends. I suspect there are probably other ways of doing this, but the above worked for me. Hopefully somebody else can replicate to confirm. Doing all this got me a speedrun time 2:47 which obviously would be impossible otherwise: https://imgur.com/a/MhS8o14 Might want to hurry if you intend to use this as they will probably patch.

  24. I got this for $5 and would've been annoyed if it had been more. You will get nine of the trophies relatively quickly...but then you have to do an idiotic grind for 1,000 questions answered correctly. Would I recommend this without a SUPER deep discount? No, and that's my final answer!

  25. #132: Batman: The Enemy Within I Am The Night (64.31% - Common) Completed Batman: The Enemy Within I'm not a fan of Batman, but back in 2018 I had played the original Telltale game when it was given on Ps Plus, and I liked it, so when I learned about its sequel I knew I would have eventually played it too, just waiting for a sale. Even through I don't care at all about Batman and I don't remember the story of the first game, I liked this one: good story (Hopefully I won't forget it in some years lol), good characters, I was into the plot all the way to the end. The Platinum is obviously very easy as you merely need to complete the game, and it was a nice experience in the middle of more exhausting games. It also happens to be, with its 64.31% rarity, my third most common Platinum, behind only 36 Fragments of Midnight (76.70%) and My Name is Mayo (94.90%).

  26. I gathered 25 sources' rankings of their favorite indie games and combined all of the lists to create a more accurate measurement of "the best." These sources ranged from Steam's Top 250 by user rating to just single YouTuber tier lists of their personal 50 favorites. I used rank-based voting here to assign each game's list position with a "point" value (where #100 on the list gets 1 point, and #1 on the list gets 100 points) for all sources. In spreadsheet 1 (Indies Votes), we just have the raw data in Columns B-Z and the point values in column A. In spreadsheet 2, we have a formula =QUERY(FLATTEN('Indies Votes'!B4:Z103),"SELECT Col1,COUNT(Col1) where Col1 is not null group by Col1") to grab the unique titles and count how many times they appear across all lists as well as the formula =SUMPRODUCT(IF('Indies Votes'!B$4:Z$103=A2,'Indies Votes'!A$4:A$103)) to count how many points each title gets. Across the 25 lists, there are a total of 553 Game Titles, and a total of 1617 total votes, all inputted by hand thanks my lonely life lol Granted, this method isn't perfect (as I've done it) since not all sources have the same number of entries. The longest 11 lists consist of 100 games, where the shortest one is but 20. This causes issues as games like Gone Home or Firewatch, while appearing in about half of the lists each, average a position of about #40 - so the shorter lists typically don't have them in there, which costs those games points (since 8/25 lists are <40 games). Games like Hades, Hollow Knight, and Stardew Valley benefit from this since they're in just about every list - and near the top of all of them. The obvious fix here is to only accept the top 20 games in all other lists, but that cuts out a lot of good games and nifty data (eg Gone Home and Firewatch). There are a few other obvious issues, stemming from the very definition of "indie game" to more of a subjective reasoning as to why somebody would or wouldn't play certain games in the first place (platform being one major reason). Of the 25 lists, I've seen some entries that are clearly NOT indie games - they just look and feel like indie games but have a big-ass "EA" on the box art. Regarding platform, some of the lists were PS4/PS5 lists exclusively while others were raw Steam data and included games not on PS at all. There are also games that are, indeed, technically independently developed without the financial assistance of publishers, but were made by a team of a thousand people. And some, by a lone dev. What we get at the end is a list of indies or indie-likes across multiple platforms ranging in budget from shoestring to the GDP of small countries. The final issue is simply publication date. Some lists don't have titles that are on other lists simply due to this, and some newer titles appear infrequently but with a lot of points due to their recency and quality. They are lower on the overall list but have high average points. To combat this, we can sort by average points as well for fun, although that does lead us to see a random-ass game that somebody put at #1, making it the only game with a 100-point average. [Ultra Rare 1.9% / Rare 17.32%] Insomnia Insurgence Took over all sectors of Insomnia. [Ultra Rare 1.6% / Rare 15.12%] King of the Daemons Daemonified 100 enemies. [Ultra Rare 1.2% / Rare 12.74%] Mastering the Darkness Unlocked all of Ardyn's abilities. [Ultra Rare 1.1% / Rare 12.39%] The Nightmare Ends Completed EPISODE ARDYN on Normal. [Ultra Rare 1.6% / Rare 16.19%] Return of the Founder King Earned the top ranking in EPISODE ARDYN. [Ultra Rare 0.1% / Ultra Rare 3.62%] Last episode "Ardyn" done and I have some thoughts about it. This episode happens, just like previous episodes... wait a minute, this episode actually happens before the main story? Yup this is by far the most important DLC story wise of the bunch, it tell us the story and background of Ardyn, the main bad guy of the game, Ardyn has a very interesting background and playing this episode the way you see Ardyn will change, he is not one sick maniac like most of us think while playing the game, instead he is a tragic sick maniac hahaha and its story will also change your view on Noctis' ancestors. This episode really delivers and makes Ardyn more interesting of a character. Other than that we see other cool stuff in this episode, like the city of Insomnia, yep we actually get the chance to explore it and all, we also se more stuff related to Ifrit which in my opinion is the most interesting summon in the game other than Bahamut. This is a very cool episode, it reminded me of DMC hahaha and is totally worth it. This 4 Episodes were all fun and cool, some more than others but if you really liked FFXV, this episodes are totally worth it since they expand more the game. I know there were going to be more DLC's for FFXV, but they got cancelled, it would've been nice to see a Lunafreya episode or a Noctis episode, but we never got them. As for the trophies this are the easiest of the bunch. Select easy and done you get all of them in a breeze, I recommend doing 2 runs to enjoy the episode but you can get all trophies in 1 playthrough. With this done I completed FFXV trophy list to 89% and it took me 160 hours. The remaining trophies are for the multiplayer stuff which is a hassle to access since I have to downgrade to get the trophies but I'm committed to get 100% . But before that I'm going to keep playing FFXV normally I'm really having fun with this game hahaha so I'll keep grinding it until I'm ready to get more trophies hahaha. Unfortunately no Ardyn pic, so here's my chocobo called Choco.

  31. UPDATE: I just finished the Master of Fate DLC with relative ease. Some Facts: You start the game with all of your items and levels. Your friend can join your game anytime by doing so from the PS menu. When they select Join Game, the host will receive a notification to invite the player. So, you don't need to be at a vestige or seeds. The game is slightly harder when a friend joins. Your friend can die at anytime and later be revived without interrupting your run. All key items remain in the spots they were originally intended. You are not marked with the ritual symbol in ironman. So, you cannot get invaded. You can summon NPCs at the regular boss locations regardless if you didn't die once (obviously dying would end your run). Recommendations: The quickest way to finish the DLC is to max out your character. You can do this by backing up your save on PSN, then joining a friends lobby, dropping skulls and any items you want to duplicate, quitting the game, downloading your save, and having your friend give you the items you want to dupe. Then you simply backup your save to PSN and start the process over. Again, max level is 541, and max stats are 99. With these stats, you can pretty much be at medium equipment load indefinitely (depending on what weapons/shields you wear). Be sure to backup your save before defeating a boss or if you are in a difficult area that requires you to go umbral. I went with the radiant ending since it's the quickest and easiest ending to get. Simply go to each main boss and cleanse the beacons and continue to push forward while ignoring all quests and side bosses. Progression: (might be off a bit) Progress to first boss and kill the Lampreaper (obviously) Progress to Skyrest Bridge Kill Pieta Progress to the right of the vestige, and continue to the large open area where there is a small archway with some ladders. Go up the ladder, then drop down to kill Gentle Gaverus (archer boss with dogs) Progress to forsaken fen and kill the Hushed Saint Cleanse the first beacon Proceed to Upper Calrath Cleanse the second Beacon Proceed to Skyrest bridge Get the Feif key and the Pilgrim's key Run back to the beginning of the game by going down the hallway in skyrest bridge, going up the spiral staircase and continuing down the path on the right. Open the door to the chill curse proceed until you defeat the hallow crow cleanse the third beacon teleport back to skyrest bridge (either by moth or by seed) Progress back to the way of forsaken fen and the mines, but open the door in the bellroom instead and proceed to the mini boss with the bell helmet. Go out the mountain side where you defeated the bell helmet boss which brings you towards Manse of the Hallow Brothers Get the key from the first enemy as you walk in, turn around and enter the kitchen to proceed all the way up and take a left into the boxes at the top of the tower Drop down from the tower to get to the next key Open the door that leads to another locked door and continue to the tower of penance (highly suggest making a backup of your save here) Kill Tancred at the bottom, who drops his key Take the elevator up twice to cleanse the fourth beacon Go back to the main floor and exit the main door continue through the archway and turn right to open the door with iron bars Continue towards the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters Kill Abbess Ursula and continue I'd suggest using a bow or cross bow to R2 the spell caster on the ledge by the blocked door where you need to use umbral lamp to get by Kill Rapturous Huntress of the Dusk and take the Rune of Adyr's Continue towards the Empyrean Kill Judge Cleric Cleanse the fifth beacon Teleport back to Skyrest Bridge Run up the spiral staircase and head towards the back where you should have unlocked the shortcut towards upper Calrath Continue until you reach the tree that blocks the way to Bramis Castle and kill the Wayfarer Use the rune of Adyr on the tree and progress to Bramis Castle When you make it into the castle, go to the left side in the castle and go around to the far back to kill that spell castor who blows up crystals Use the level to move the stair case Run up the staircase to get to the second floor Go around back to the book case to get the Royal key Run back to the top of the stair case Jump out the window of the king's chambers onto a giant red crystal Stick to the right to drop a seed (I'd suggest backing up a save now) Run back up and stick to the right Kill the Sundered Monarch Kill Adyr, The Bereft Exile Roll Credits Safe Build: Right Hand - The Iron Wayfarer's Hammer +10 Socket 1: Relox - Charged attacks deal increase damage Socket 2: Scaeve - Increase damage to an enemy's poise Socket 3: Tumul - Gain Health upon killing enemy Left Hand - Shield of Whispers +5 Socket 1: Crafter's Essence - ignore Weight of shield Socket 2: Tumul - Gain small amount of health regeneration Socket 3: Tumul - Gain small amount of health regeneration Ranged Slot Option 1 - Exactor Scripture +10 Spell 1: Piercing LIght - Shoots a single lighting bolts Spell 2: Orius' Judgment - Creates a lighting storm Spell 3: Radiant Weapon/Lacerating Weapon - Imbues weapon with radiance/blood (depending on the enemy) Spell 4: Invigorating Aura - Pulse that Heals you and your nearby allies Spell 5: Aura of Tenacity - Decreases damage received Ranged Slot Option 2 - Assassin's Bow +10 (Hold R2 to charge shot) Arrow 1: Cinder Arrows - Fire Arrow 2: Radiant Arrows - Holy Arrows 3: Weighted Arrows - Physical Ranged Slot Option 3 - Harrower Dervla's Crossbow +10 (Shoots 3 bolts one after the other) Arrow 1: Cinder Bolts - Fire Arrow 2: Radiant Bolts - Holy Arrows 3: Weighted Bolts - Physical Head: Ardent Penitent Head Cage Torso: Tancred's Armour Arms: Holy Bulwark Gauntlets Legs: Crimson Rector Leggings Tinct - My favourite tinct for this armor set is Pridebound with the red tinge Pendant - Warrior's Claw - Increase physical damage and physical defence Ring 1: Envenomed Ring - Deal additional charged attack damage and posture damage Ring 2: Melchior's Ring - Deal additional physical damage Quick Access 1: Sanguinarix +10 - Standard healing item Quick Access 2: Purifying Balm - cures all status ailments and gives temp resistance against them Quick Access 3: Unripe Berries - Increase stamina regeneration Quick Access 4: Ammunition Satchel - Large ammo pouch Quick Access 5: Heavenly Vial - Fully restores health and mana, and cures all status effects Umbral Eye 1: Umbral Eye of Loash - While charging a heavy attack, all damage is received as wither damage and your posture cannot be broken (I would say this is the best primary eye, IMHO) Umbral Eye 2: Umbral Eye of Hooded Antuli - 20% less wither health when going umbral Umbral Eye 3: Umbral Eye of Bloody Pilgrim - Regain +15% more wither health when in umbral Defensive Stats Physical - 1769 Fire - 1052 Hoy - 1088 Wither - 1054 Resistances Smite - 591 Bleed - 606 Burn - 569 Ignite - 566 Frostbite - 561 Poison - 565 Combat: Don't be afraid to use your shield! It will block a poop ton of damage and stagger most enemies, if pressed at the right time, leaving them open to a light counter-attack! Don't be afraid to swap out your radiant catalyst for a bow or crossbow to pick enemies off from a distance. Run and R2 is your best friend! It does a jump slam while one handing the hammer (e.g., with the shield in the left hand). Also, don't forget to charge those attacks by holding down R2. You will be pretty much invulnerable and then release a mass amount of damage! Before going into boss arena, buff with both auras, and buff your weapon. Use a Heavenly Vial when mana runs low and you should never die! Bonk until they stop moving. win! Another option for weapons: Replace the weapon and shield with arguably 2 of the strongest/fastest weapons in the game! The L1 + R2 combo does insane damage! Right-Hand Lightreaper Sword +10 Socket 1: Tumul - Gain Health upon killing enemy Socket 2: Tumul - Gain Health upon killing enemy Socket 3: Dimexus - Increased physical Damage while dual-wielding Left-Hand Lightreaper Sword +10 Socket 1: Tumul - Gain Health upon killing enemy Socket 2: Tumul - Gain Health upon killing enemy Socket 3: Dimexus - Increased physical Damage while dual-weilding Everything else stays the same, except, change the rings to include 2 Grayson's Rings, which deal extra damage while dual-wielding. You could also go for a more offensive build with extra damage. Fire damage does more damage than radiant scaling, oddly. Right-Hand Lightreaper Sword +10 Socket 1: Tianarx - Increase Fire Damage Socket 2: Tianarx - Increase Fire Damage Socket 3: Dimexus - Increased physical Damage while dual-wielding Left-Hand Lightreaper Sword +10 Socket 1: Tianarx - Increase Fire Damage Socket 2: Tianarx - Increase Fire Damage Socket 3: Dimexus - Increased physical Damage while dual-wielding Extra Drip: To get more of a rogue-esque ninja looking character, with light equipment load and exhibiting major badassness, try the following armour pieces: Head: Pilgrim Hood Torso: Angel of the Void Armour Arms: Avoid Gloves Legs: Exiled Stalker Trousers Tinct: Harbinger - Mostly Black Anyways, it was a fun run. Did it partially with my brother and partially alone using the dual lightreaper swords and the heavy armour set. I actually only died once during the fight with Adyr, cause that bastard was hiding and adyr did the party wipe move where they make you explode. Kind of a lame way to do die (and fight), if you ask me... I hope this helps someone! 🙂

  32. #209 - Cars: Race-O-Rama Difficulty: 2.5/10 Fun: 4.5/10 I wasn't expecting much. I only picked this up because I was a big fan of the Cars films growing up. But this game is mid as all hell...the gist of it is that Lightning "Kachow" McQueen, our talking car overlord, participates in multiple races just to win because...winning. And bragging rights. I stopped giving a fuck. So, yeah, standard racing game fare...outside of the G**do Kart sections, which are why it took me so long to platinum this game in the first place. Those races are fucking awful; you CANNOT control that goddamn forklift for shit. I get stressed out whenever I do any maneuver because I know for a fact i'm about to start bouncing off 25 different walls, some of them invisible. Cut those out and the overall enjoyment of the game, for me, would go up quite a lot. Maybe I just suck at games, but holy shit it was bad. (also, fun fact: "g**do" is a slur towards Italian-Americans, meaning that the name of it aged like shit-just like Jersey Shore!)

  37. Platinum #249 - Tunic This is one of those games that it's hard to talk about without spoiling, so skip to the end if you're worried about that. You get thrown into a Zelda-like world with a sword and shield and green tunic, and you think you know what the game is about. Explore, find treasure, kill bosses, beat game, right? But then you find a page from what looks like a 1980's instruction manual for the actual game you're playing, written in a mashup of English and a language you've never seen before. As you find more and more pages, the mechanics that seemed bizarre and random start to fall into place, the secret game behind the game starts to appear, and suddenly instead of playing Zelda you're playing The devs clearly remember and love the era where games didn't have tutorial sections and physical media was the only option. There's something uniquely satisfying about having a tactile book that tell you how to play a game. Like all the best puzzle games, the solutions feel impossible until you find them, at which point you feel like the biggest genius to ever live. And come on, don't you old gamers miss having to take notes like this? (MASSIVE spoilers): Verdict: Recommended
