Popular Post stuthesheep
Time for an update, which rather excitingly brings up my first bingo. Good times. First up is I1 with Life is Strange: True Colors. The main character might have magical mind-reading powers, but clearly they don't extend to being able to jump over walls. Next is N3, the Player's Choice box, which is marked off with Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, for the sole reason that it doesn't really fit into any other category I've got left, with the possible exception of the PS Plus one (it's on Extra), however I already have plans for that box later in the year. Going next door to G3 now, and Player Operated Vehicles with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Chapters 3 and 4 are basically driving around a large open-world area in a jeep, (which meets an untimely demise in Chapter 6). There's a reasonably tricky trophy associated with driving from one end of the map to the other and back in three minutes, so I spent a LOT of time driving about! Also in Chapter 9 there's a really fun train chase sequence in a freshly stolen jeep, so more than enough vehicle based content to tick the box. Finally for this update, and marking off the first line of the year is G4 and No Humans with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. I wasn't too sure about this one thanks to Captain Qwark, but after a quick googling session the R&C Wiki informs me that he's Kerwanian. He's also only got three fingers and a ridiculously handsome jawline, so I reckon thats genetically far enough away from the scrawny creatures that live on this rock. Spoiler I1 (No Jump Button) Life is Strange: True Colors 14/6 G1 (Mystery) The Suicide of Rachel Foster 27/4 O1 (DLC) Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist 13/1 B2 (Fantasy) Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy 17/3 I2 (Crafting) Assassin's Creed: Rogue 18/2 G2 (Hype) Horizon Forbidden West 18/4 N3 (Player's Choice) Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales 22/6 G3 (Vehices) Uncharted: The Lost Legacy 29/6 O3 (Vistas) Far Cry Primal 24/5 N4 (Banned) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 26/4 G4 (No Humans) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 17/6 O4 (Exclusive) Astro's Playroom 17/3 B5 (Snacks) Maneater 26/5 G5 (Racing) F1: 2016 11/6 O5 (Reboot) God of War 4/3

Popular Post Yuber6969
Finished Guilty Gear: Strive! Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (That You Meant to Play Last Year) - Self-explanatory. Smoots Summer Games (That You Can Beat in One Sitting) - The story equivalent can be finished in about an hour. Both the original and the remake act like the first game did not happen. Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (peripheral-based) - This game is meant to played with a drum controller, so that's the peripheral. Scourge: Outbreak (play as antihero or bad guy) - I didn't pay attention the story, but the female lead's character description sounded like one of an anti-hero. Skullgirls 2nd Encore [Black Dahlia DLC] (DLC Pack or Standalone DLC) Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (Releasing Your Inner Weeb) Million Arthur: Arcana Blood (Spawned an Expanded Universe) - A TV series was made based on the Million Arthur game series. Popular Post Alternatewarning
Update #7 Didn't intend to get Neptunia finished but guess I did. I think I can get a bingo across row #1 so that's what I'm working on next. Forgot that Persona 3 would count as a retro re-release B-1: HYPE! - God of War: Ragnarok: I really, really liked this game. Did I think it was the best-thing-since-sliced-bread? No. The middle dragged out a lot more than it needed to. I still think the game has serious issues with 'too many buttons' for combat. More than once I messed up what I was trying to do because I couldn't remember if it was or and then whatever follow up button. But the story was good, really, really good. Satisfying. I love seeing how the series has matured. N-1: Last Game You Acquired: Gorogoa: As of playing this game it was the newest game I had purchased so I'm considering this my latest game. This was suggested to me for another event as a quick, cute, fun little puzzle game. And that's what it was. It wasn't mind-blowing but it was fun and a little bit of a brain-teaser. I would suggest it to anyone who wants a chill game. Trophies may be a bit glitchy though. G-1: With a # oe Punctuation in the Title - Spider-man: Miles Morales: These recent Spiderman games have been quite fun and this is no exception. In fact, I think I like the combat a little bit more in this one since I can use Venom moves to get out a sticky situations (pun intended). It's also nice to see a biracial main character. And some sign language. It's just, it's cool, feels a lot more like the 'real world'. Not the best game in the world but it's fun, the story is good and I like Miles. Plus swinging around New York is just so fun... I-2: Released in your birth month (December) - Marvel's Midnight Suns: I have a lot of good things to say about this game. I am in love, absolute love with the combat system. The story is interesting, the characters are great. I love seeing the magical side of Marvel, not just superheroes. It was, however, the biggest game I've played in quite a while. Most everything I hit was a graphical bug but still, that doesn't really reflect that well on a game. So a solid A-, honestly. I would suggest it to anyone that likes strategy games and some more B-list Marvel characters. N-2: You Think You Will Dislike - Neptunia Virtual Stars: I belive this counts although instead of 'I think I will dislike', it was a case of 'I knew I would dislike'. While I didn't hate the game, I didn't love it. Especially for a Neptunia game. The shooter combat is so clunky and the game has so many mechanics it never explains. I just really didn't enjoy it. Neptunia's action combat has always been a bit iffy but this one in particular added on a huge level on difficulty (for me) as I suck at shooters. In fact I had to couch co-op this one to even get it done. O-2: Starts with the First Letter of Your PSNID (Alternatewarning) - AI: The Somnium Files: A friend of mine suggested that I pick this up and it was on sale at some point so I figured, right not? Honestly, one of the best random buys ever. As long as you enjoy visual novel-esque games this one is really good. I honestly never felt like it was 'dagging' on like some other visual novels do just to add length. Every chapter was a good length. The puzzles were wild and mind-bending but I liked them. I didn't like the typical 'haha pervy male lead, funny' but I can put up with it when I have to. Also some WEIRD hand animations but overall, solid 8/10. I-4: With an Isometric View - Digimon Survive: Digimon seems to swing pretty wildly with video game ideas and I'm here for it. This game is 7/10 visual novel with a horror tinge and 3/10 battle which isn't bad. I'm not a huge fan of how you recruit digimon (I prefer the Cyber Sleuth style) but with a guide it's not too bad. I can say, though, that this game is so much darker than I expected and I really like that. While the game is visual novel, the battles are isometric so I believe that counts.

Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
2 more games added to the Bingo board. I have I Was A Teenage Exocolonist for ‘recommended by another psnp member’. I first saw the game recommended over in the Kaleidoscope event, then was recommended it personally by @Penguin_boy18 who said it’d be perfect for me. He was right, I’m pretty addicted to both the card game and the visual novel side of the game. It’s probably the most engaging visual novel I’ve played too, with plenty of areas that you can explore freely, great characters, and an interesting and dark story. The story revolves around your character, a 10 year old member of a colony attempting to make a new home on a strange planet. Time passes and the game ends when you reach the end of age 19. This means that you have a limited time to raise relationships, earn ‘money’, and build your skills, but the game has a kind of time loop feature, where subsequent playthroughs will get easier as you can do things you’ve done before quicker, or immediately in some cases. I’ve only played through 1 and a half lives so far, but it’s very easy to play just ‘1 more month’ and look up to see it’s getting light outside. For ‘Ultra Rare Platinum’ I finally finished the story of Catherine: Full Body. The story isn’t quite as engaging the 13th time through, but the endings can get pretty weird. I personally liked both the true endings for Catherine and Katherine, and the best Rin ending. The block puzzles hurt my brain, and I still have the hardest difficulty and the randomised levels to play to actually get the platinum, but it’s still a very fun game. It’s the Summer holidays here now, so my gaming time will be much less as I’ll have both kids to entertain until school for my eldest starts again in September.
Popular Post Flitterbloom
Hi bingoers! My first bingo card is finally completed: Horizon Zero Dawn is my "Aliens or Robots" box. I started the game in 2020 and finally got to the end of the story this month. I got a little frustrated with the game, mostly because I could not explore the way I wanted while getting the collectibles and hated the fact I had to "follow the roads"... After all the good publicity it has had, it's very possible I had my hopes a lot too high. I didn't hate the game but let's say I will probably never play Forbidden West either... Assassin's Creed Unity is my Player's Choice. The reason being I wanted to play it for a long time as it's my little sister's favorite game franchise and... well, the Revolution. And Elise. Of course. Obviously, I had to go for the 100%, so Dead Kings (AC Unity) checked my DLC box. I liked Leon's character a lot in this. Lastly, Dodgeball Academia is my Racing or Sports game. I don't really play sports game. Nor racing tbh. When I saw "Sport RPG" I thought I'd give it a try and that it'd probably ease the "sport" genre a little bit. How wrong I was... I enjoyed the game SO MUCH. It's a funny little game, so many references in the dialogues and construction of it (Pokemon, mostly, but gosh how I laughed seeing all of those). I still think I would not enjoy most sports game but if there was to be a sequel I'd play it without hesitation. I got a new bingo card for the rest of the year, just for fun, probably not gonna complete this one but I'll try my best: Spoiler I have one little question regarding this: I played a game while I was still completing my first card but couldn't add it to the first card, can I use it for this one since I played the game during the year? Just want to be sure.

Finch_III
Haha crap. I cleared my browser history and completely forgot that it would wipe my Bingo card ... not entirely sure how I'll scratch stuff off now. That's annoying.

Popular Post DrBloodmoney
A New Box Down! Game: Far Cry 6 Box: "Spawned an Extended Universe" A pretty ropey latest entry in a series on life-support now - it's back to proper Far Cry after the weirdness of FC5, but it seems to have lost the magic while it was finding it's way back. It looks AMAZING - it's one of the best looking and nicely designed open worlds I've seen, and is muchos impressivo in that regard.... ....but the story is dire, the voice acting is pretty terrible, and the game is just.... limp. In every way. I'm not finished the Plat yet - or even close to the S-Rank, but I have finished the story, so should be good for this event! So, "Spawned an Extended Universe" is always a tough one for me, BUT... I found out that Far Cry 6, inexplicably, spawned this thing: ...an Audible Original Podcast / Audiobook... so I think (sincerely hope) it counts!
