Attack on Completion 2023

Finally back to my regularly scheduled weekly progress report. This past week I continued my journey in Biomutant, slowly clearing the map one side quest at a time. It’s confounding; even though the map is littered with dilapidated structures and places to explore, the game feels empty. Every fort I conquer is laid out the same, down to the loot spots. Granted, I’ve only seen about half of the map thus far, but I have an inkling this won’t change.

Hi everyone, I haven't really written any updates here. I wasn't sure how to go about it. Below are all games I've played in March. I've made some progress in my percentage at least, so happy about that. Will try to write some more updates in the future. It has been nice to read all the updates from the other participants anyway! 

 

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout -> 53%

Started the PS5 version, not worried about the trophies. I actually thought it would autopop since I have the platinum on PS4. Unfortunately this was not the case, so I'm trying for the platinum again. This will take a while, but was able to pop quite some trophies already. 

 

The Artful Escape -> 100%  

An enjoyable storied game with an easy platinum trophy. I quite enjoyed this game. 

 

Block-a-Pix Deluxe -> 38%

I'm playing this game on Vita when I'm unable to use the tv. I like these small puzzle games. They're time consuming, but fun to play. 

 

Dead Cells -> 49%

I played this game years ago and started it back up after the new Castlevania DLC. The game is still a lot of fun and so addictive to play. With all the extra DLC now there's a lot of content to play. I'm really enjoying it and I will keep playing it until I completed everything. 

 

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! -> 100%  

I was able to get the platinum in this game and this took me a lot of practice. I played part 3 first and 3 was easier then this one. I really enjoyed the challenge tho, I think I will actually miss playing these games in between the others. One of the best cooking simulators in my opinion. 

 

PowerWash Simulator -> 58%

Such a chill game to play! I love this when I get home all tired from work, just cleaning some stuff while listening to a podcast. Perfect for clearing my mind and when I don't want to think about what I have to do. Also making quite some progress, should be able to get the platinum soon. 

 

Overcooked! All You Can Eat -> 35%

I've played all other versions of this game and still really love to play it in couch coop. Could't resist starting up the PS5 version since I bought my PS5 2 months ago and will keep playing it until platinum. Such a great game. 

 

God of War Ragnarök -> 64%

I've finished the story for God of War Ragnarok already some weeks ago. The game is huge and I'm working on getting all side-quests and collectibles in all the regions. Not sure how much longer it will take me to 100%, but I will keep at it in the coming weeks. I do hope to get it sooner then later, I want to play something else.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider + DLC (1/7) - PS4 - 37% => 54%

Scary moments with this game. I missed a collectible that didn't show up on the map either. tried reloading & reinstalling the game but nothing. In the end I just looked for a map with all collectibles on the internet. And it became clear that game didn't wanted me t find it ?. I went to the exact spot and I was very happy when the game gave me the interaction button to collect the last piece of this map...pheww! Deadly obsession mode was a walk in the park when it comes to enemy encounters. I never died and only the end-boss took me 3 tries but the traverse parts were something different. Game is not as fluent as a AC game and I died many times falling....Got the platinum and finished 1 DLC , 6 DLC to go.....

 

Gravity Rush + DLC (0/3) - PSVita - 48% => 48%

finished some challenges but taking it slow.

Strange Brigade + DLC (3/4) - PS4 - 99% => 99%

So I only made a slight increase in my PCG this week, due to starting Lord of the Rings: War in the North with @rjkclarke, I managed to pick up 9 trophies though and it's a fun game so far, reminds me of Dragon Age Origins but set in the LOTR universe. I'm playing as the ranger so far, and we have 3 playthroughs to do for the platinum and there's 3 different characters, a mage, a dwarf and a ranger, so I plan on playing a different one on each playthrough. The game follows events that happened at the same time as LOTR. So putting this game on my list is worth the hit in completion for sure, it was sitting at 61.42% until last night.

 

Grand Theft Auto IV > 67%

 

I finally managed to get the multiplayer done for this game so that's a relief! I'm really looking forward to starting the single player of this, but not so much all the stuff I have left on my old save file from 7 years ago for the 100% completion. It just involves doing pigeons, friend activities, stunt jumps - can't wait... I'm going to end this one on the speedrun trophy I think, but I'm looking forward to replaying this one and then getting to the DLC packs.

 

Batman: Arkham Origins > 34%

 

And as well as finishing up the GTA IV online, I managed to get the online trophies done for Arkham Origins in a week, that was a bit boring and I'll seriously be glad to spend this week playing single player. I managed to find a really great boosting group on PSNP to get these done when the servers came back up (again) on Tuesday and the trophies that required 8 people went incredibly smoothly. Now I just have the fun single player to go back to, which will be super nice.

 

But for now I think I'm going to stick back with finishing God of War: Chains of Olympus as I'm really looking forward to getting back to some single player and playing this game again. After a week of boosting it's definitely needed. If I finish this one this week, I'll either play Titanfall 2 next, or go on to the next God of War game.

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing good and having fun completing those backlogs ?

 

Well first off for me, I've earned over 1% completion towards my goal.... Hooray!! I finished Spider-Man DLC (what a fantastic game) I also cleaned up Moss DLC and 100% Batman Arkham VR. Still haven't finished Ragnarök, I'm just finding the collectables unbearable at the moment ?

 

I started another VR game called Drums Rock and it is so much fun! I only need one more trophy for the platinum. Also started and platinumed Bunny Raiders - a nice free, quick and easy plat.

 

I've still been grinding Friday the 13th when possible and I will be starting another grind tomorrow, due to the news about Multiversus going offline "for a while"

 

My plans for April are to platinum Friday the 13th, Multiversus, GoW Ragnarök, Horizon Call of the Mountain and possibly Watch Dogs 2.

Enjoy, I found it to be a fun game tbh

 

Make sure someone plays as the dwarf on the hardest difficulty (Legendary I think), his explosive crossbow shots are masively helpful.

I see you are working on the LEGO Ninjago Movie game. I need to finish that but the constant freezes make this LEGO title a big pile of fecal matter. The game crashed twice on level 2 near the end and then once at the results screen in Level 4.

popped 6,778 trophies including 186

platinums for an increase of 0.64% ...

Although I did start a heap of games

to lay the groundwork for an A to Z of 

games in a day later in the year.

 

Next month I will try not to start any

new games in a more than likely futile

attempt to get unearned trophies below 19,000, lol

I got married this week!.... in Skyrim. I continue to be almost exclusively immersed in the world of Skryrim. I'm enjoying it enough that I started considering making Oblivion a plat I did soon.... only to discover there was never any trophy list for Oblivion.*sadface*. I'll probably dabble in it eventually anyways, but I'm sad there's not trophies to earn.

 

Games I've been playing:

 

 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PS5) 42% --> 64%

 

This week I finished the main storyline quests and quite enjoyed that. I also spent a lot of time buying the 3 plots of land and fully building the estates on each. That means I've finished off the trophies for the Hearthfire DLC. It was a really fun change of pace in the game and broke up the exploring and dungeon diving a bit. This week I also managed to get to level 50, and find all of the Thu'ums. I am now turning my attention to the Dragonborn DLC. I've just starting into it, but so far everything has a very Lovecraftian feel to it and I absolutely love it.

 

 Moss: Book II (PSVR2) 41% --> 50%

 

I've started feeling well enough after my surgery to play a very low impact VR game. I've continued this a little bit with my kids and continue to love this charming game.

 

What's Next? 

 

I will continue to focus on Skyrim. Still plenty of content to keep me busy for AT LEAST another week. I'm coming up on my 5000 trophy milestone and I'm thinking I may try to line up the Skyrim plat to be #5000. I'll see what I can do to make that happen.

Had a good month for progress but a not so good month for several other reasons, achieved my main aim for the month of getting the plat for Crash 4, between the frustation of how hard the time trials were and the amount of padding they added for the completion I didn't really enjoy it though

 

The clock battery in my PS3 died about 6 months ago meaning I need to always make sure I sign in first so my trophies have timestamps, I'm surprised it took me this long but I finally forgot to sign in before earning a couple trophies and now it's ruined my milestones ? Not a big deal but I'd started to actually put some thought into my milestones over the last couple years so it was pretty annoying when I realised I'd screwed up

 

Main aim for this month will be to get the plat in Yakuza 3 on PS3, I bought a copy a few months ago and went to start it for the first time last week only to realise it was the cd for the soundtrack (didn't know it's meant to come with 2 discs, the game and the soundtrack and the person I bought it from only included the soundtrack) so my actual main aim this month is to buy a copy of it first without getting scammed again

Getting close to that big 8-0 which has been a goal for a long time already. I managed to finish Republique last week, and I’m working my way through White Night. Another game that’s been sitting on my list for about 7 years… Hopefully I can finish it before the end of the weekend. If I do manage to get it done I’ll update this post. That should put me well over 79.10

I’m getting pretty stoked to finally reach 80%. I have also tried getting more stuff done on some other games. Managed to grab 4 trophies in Sky Force Unleashed, and made some small progress in MotoGP19

Been a while since I updated. Completed a bunch of new games but still tanked my progress overall. PS+ has just been too much of a draw and I am not actually playing my backlog enough.

 

Mahjong (0% - 100%)

This is actually Mahjong Solitaire, not regular Mahjong. Pretty straight forward and easy 100% that I could play while listening to podcasts. Mostly played it because it was all silver trophies and I want to increase my silver trophy count.

 

Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 (0% - 100%)

Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 (0% - 100%)

An old monthly ps+ game. These were fine I guess. They seem to be very highly loved in the lego game community but I think its mostly nostalgia. I didn't find anything particularly special about them. Thankfully I did not encounter any of the many plat blocking glitches that are apparently present in years 1-4.

 

Sonic the Hedgehog (0% - 100%)

A very old PS+ game. Its the first time I have actually finished the original sonic. A lot of the levels were way more linear then I was expecting. Pretty easy 100% list if you abuse the save states present in this version. There is a speed run trophy for beating the game in under 40 mins which could be tight even with save states, but if you use the zip glitch in a few levels you can smash it. I got it done with a time of 24 minutes (maybe 4-5 hours actual play time). Good game, would recommend if it wasn't delisted.

 

Gabbuchi (0% - 100%)

Another puzzle game on Extra that I was interested in. Its leaving the catalog so I got to it. If you are just interested in a super quick completion you don't have to actually play any of the levels except the last. You can just skip them all and get all the trophies. I played a little over 50% of them and then skipped the rest. They just got a little too finicky with way to precise timing with floaty controls making the later puzzles just annoying.

 

Horizon Forbidden West (0% - 13%)

The first of two games to completely remove the small progress I made over the past month. The plat itself isn't too bad since you can skip a lot of the side content. But the free DLC trophies will take me at least 1 and a half more playthroughs, more realistically 2 more playthroughs so its a long 100%.

 

Multiversus (0% - 22%)

And the second to kill my progress. A huge grind, but with the servers "temporarily" closing I wanted to try and tackle it. I am not confident that they will return, or that it will return with the same trophy list if it does. But oh boy was this a mistake. I was self boosting the Party Animal trophy with my steam account. So both my PSN and steam accounts had played the same number of matches in a party. The achievement popped on steam. The trophy has not popped on PSN. Oh, oh no... its glitched. I have lost track of how many party matches I have played at this point but I know its north of 800. I have already spent 35 hours on this. The good news is that people on this forum report that it has unlocked for them eventually, but when that is seems to be random. So I guess I just have to keep grinding it.... @Karlat984 I hope you have better luck then I am having with this.

my pcg is around 18.65 now so now i need only 6.35 increase to reach my goal  i hope i reach my goal somewhere this year i dont start any new games until i reach my goal and when i am above my goal i have now ps5 and i am really glad i got it but i going to stay on ps4 for a very long time until i have done  alot of games and when i reached my goal  then i continue on ps5

Weekly Update Time.

After many, many attempts, finally managed to get the Gunslinger trophy done on Blood & Truth, hard mode trophy also done, which was fairly straight forward.

Decided I felt like playing a Lego game, so went for the Ninjago game, as it seemed like the least grindy one that I own. Not the worst game in the world, but not the best either.

Might go fo another Lego game next, bit undecided at what to do next really.

Smashed through this in a week, some time trials were tough but only Mecha No Mistake was truly frustrating. I have Knack in my backlog but man I do not want to touch anymore platformers for a while.

Little Big Planet – 4% > 34% - Rented it from the library, Servers Closed

Platinum is impossible now so I just got what I was willing to get from the base game and moved on.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 0% > 100%

I loved this game! The music was excellent, the environments great and varied, and the writing was spot on from what I know about the Guardians. I mostly enjoyed the combat but even by the end game I was occasionally hitting the wrong buttons when trying to select abilities. I really hope it gets a sequel and pray it stays single player. I would definitely recommend this game.

Disney Infinity 2.0 – 20% > 67% - Servers Closed

Didn’t want to start anything new so close to the end of the month so I started working on cleaning this game up. Made significant progress and am down to the last 5 trophies that are still attainable after the servers were shut down. Seeing the 3 trophies that are no longer attainable really hurts as they were super simple and probably would have taken 30 minutes. *sigh* At least I’ll get a couple of Ultra Rares out of this game.

 

Overall, this month was a lot more successful than I thought it would be. I actually managed to get a 1.05% increase to my overall completion; I was honestly staggered to see that. Undoubtedly, it is because I actually played more than one game from my backlog but still, been a long time since I had a 1% increase in a single month. I also earned over 180 trophies, which for me is crazy big numbers. A few more months like this and I will definitely hit my goal of 10,000 trophies this year. Speaking of goals, I completed 2 of them this month: less than 500 unearned trophies (at 479 currently) and have less than 20 incomplete games (currently at 19). Of course, anytime I start a new game I go over those goals, but I reached them, and I am happy about that. I also finally finished off Fallout: New Vegas, smashed through and completed Rayman Origins, made progress in Little Big Planet as well as Disney Infinity 2.0. Not to shabby. On the last day of the month I picked up a few things from a local used game store. I picked up Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, Dragon Age 2, Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion, and 2 Lego Dimensions figurines. MvC3 is another of the games my brother put on my list long ago, the platinum is still achievable but if it is with in my skill level remains to be seen. DA2, I already have 100% in it but wanted it back in my collection so that I once again have all of the Dragon Age games. Crisis Core I hope to play this year sometime then go to FF7R Intergrade DLC, a one-two punch if you will. They 2 LEGO figurines should give me access to 2 of the DLC’s in Dimensions so I’ll eek a little more percentage out of it. Not sure what I be focusing on in April but I got plenty to keep me occupied.

4) Complete Fallout: New Vegas, Final Fantasy XIII, Prey, and Sacred 2

5) Finish all games in the following series: Infamous, Jak & Dakter, Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper.

6) My white whale this year will be Uncharted 4 Coop for 100% - Completed!

7) My pipe dream is Platinum/ 100% The Elder Scrolls Online – game is currently hidden given the time needed to do it, I have put it on the back burner.

8) Reacquire some PS3 games to finally finish them off: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection/ Legacy Collection, Rayman Origins, Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, not sure about any others currently.

9) Reach 10,000 total trophies – 9,241/ 10,000

10) Finish the last 3 letters I need for the A-Z platinum list. (Need Q, X, and Z)

Just got the plat on that myself and while I appreciate that there are no free play levels and you can get all the collectibles in the hubs, I had the game crash on me three times. It is not a polished game, but I guess if you don't like getting minikits, this is a good LEGO game to get into.
