What's Your Go-to Difficulty Level in Games?

Usually normal so I can feel out what the game is like and enjoy the story flow

I pretty much always choose Normal for my first run.  I'm more of a story person so I don't want it to be too difficult (that I'll have to grind/etc to get to the next story sequence) but I don't want it to be too easy too, no fun that way.  Normal usually suits me fine.

When I start a game I always generally go for normal difficulty, once that it is done and trophies are required on higher difficulties I go on from there.

Trophies dictate which level I play.

 

- If the difficulty trophies stack; I go straight to the hardest difficulty available for the sake of only needing 1 playthrough.

- If all trophies can be earned on easy then, I'll play on easy.

I generally go for the hardest, unless it's a football game, in which I got Semi-Pro on Fifa I'm not great at them, so that's "normal" I believe since it's what the trophies use as minimum.

Most of the time I'll play on the hardest first if required. Some games I do like to start off on Normal first, it really depends on the type of game I play.

Usually normal to get a feel for the game and enjoy the story and sometimes I start at the hard difficulty.

Usually I go for normal because I wanna enjoy the story and not having too much trouble to finish the game. If the game is good then I probably try it on harder difficulties.

I play on normal everytime I start a game. Then if there are trophies for other difficulties, I play those. 

I don't mind a little challenge but if I don't have to play the game on harder difficulties, I wont. I avoid playing on easy because it sometimes make whole mechanics worthless (mainly in RPGs).

Normal, the only time you'll see me on a different difficulty level is if there's a trophy for it.

usually I would pick normal, unless I found it too easy and the game is not an jrpg because the bosses are a pain in the butt for me in most jrpgs. so normal is the way

I always start on "normal". If there is an option for "easy" I'd only use it if I was really struggling lol.

Hard and upwards I would use after completing normal if it was required for any trophies

Depends... some games I'll play on hard right away... Sniper Elite V2... I played on the highest difficulty, and thought that it was the way it should be played... Others I tend to play on a lower difficulty first, to get a feel for the game.

I start every game on normal to get a feel for the game & enjoy the story. If there is a difficulty specific trophy I'm trying to get, then I'll pick that difficulty.

Well, i avoid Easy at any cost. Because many times the AI is too much dumb and kill my enjoyment.

I normally choose normal, because i like to test the game twice. Checking if there's really a difference between normal and hard.

So, First play-trough on normal to understand the story and enjoy everything, and if I really liked the game i go for the challenge on hard.

When i know a lot a franchise I play straight on hard, like God of war.

I usually pick normal but if it's a series iv'e played a lot I sometimes pick hard for a bigger challenge.

Usually normal. After researching the game and if I find that the higher difficulties aren't really that much harder (or easy to break) then I'll choose something higher to stack the trophies. Besides that, I just tend to not make things more difficult for myself than they need to be.

Normal for me. If I enjoyed the game I'll play it again on a harder difficulty setting.

Normal mostly for me. I have played quite a few on the hardest difficulty though.

 

If the game dosen't have a trophy for difficulty than you can gurantee I am playing on easy.
