Glorious Fury
RIP Toriyama. This one hits hard as like many others here Dragon Ball was a big part of my life growing up. Gohan going SSJ2 still is the most iconic moment in Anime for me.
Slava
An artist with a very recognisable style and an author whose influence over shonen manga is felt to this day. And not only manga and anime - just a few days ago I noted that the last fight in The Matrix Revolutions may have been inspired by DBZ. RIP.
Rikapadupu
So sad... Dragon Ball is a big chunck of my pre teenage life. I faked beeing sick to watch. In my school I perfectly remeber entire student classes skipping school because maybe was the day Goku transformed For the first time. Was my first anime. Legends never die. Rest in peace and thank you Toriyama Edited March 8 by Rikapadupu

HellcoreFire
Sucks to hear, Dragonball and Arale (I think it's original title is Dr Slump) were two of the first Japanese cartoons I ever saw. He leaves behind a huge legacy. R.I.P.

Popular Post Viper
Alright people, time to go find the Dragon Balls and wish him back! Seriously though, this one hits me hard. Dragon Ball isn't just something I watched as a kid and is a memory I hold dear. Dragon Ball is something that has remained a near daily part of my life since I got into it. I haven't rewatched a series anywhere near as much as I have DBZ (over 20 times), I'm currently in a rewatch of Super (4th time). OG DB, GT all the movies...seen them countless times as well. And while I wasn't completely looking forward to Daima, I was definitely going to watch it. I play the games, still looking forward to Sparking ZERO. And for a few years between 2008-2011 I ran a free streaming site for Dragon Ball episodes and we were the top Dragon Ball related site on the internet during that time. You couldn't search Dragon Ball on Google without us being one of the top results and we were streaming before "streaming" was a buzz word. It was non profit...it was just for the love of getting great quality episodes out there to everyone. This franchise means so much to me, and this is such a massive blow that doesn't even feel real at this point. RIP you absolute legend...you're training with King Kai now. ShadowSkill
Feel so sad after read the news. Dragon ball is my favorite comic and it grew up with me, still have the full set of it at home for many years. Its still the best forever. I may start playing Kakarot to remind the story again. Also we will not see characters setting from him after Dragon Quest XII anymore... RIP Toriyama San, thanks for everything. PraiseTheFluppi
This is so sad, he wasn't even that old yet. Dragonball Z was my childhood, me and my brother watched it every day on TV and mimicked our favourite characters, and we loved to play the old PS2 games. RIP Toriyama sensei! ❤️

UltimateScubs
This hit me hard. Dragon Ball Z was a massive part of my childhood. Got me into anime and I used to always play Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Rest in peace Toriyama and thank you for everything.
Jeanolt
The contributions he made to anime, manga, series, movies, videogames... he is legitimely one of the best artists of all time. If you watch any anime at any given time there's a 90% chance it was influenced by Toriyama in some part, or even by another anime, previously inspired by him. The amount of tropes, cliches, character designs, classic story nods he created, are being repeated even 30 years after his work came to an end. Seriously, a series about a monkey who was fighting everyone along with his friends in a super fun action-comedy, and then eventually there's a twist SO huge, that changed the entire series and had to rename it. There were more than a hundred chapters even before Vegeta came to exist, that tells it all.
