Popular Post ninja-star95
[*cracks knuckles*] Let's get started shall we #96: Poison Control Weird love/hate relationship with this game. I like the story and characters but the gameplay is unpolished, repetitive, and sometimes cheap as hell with enemies and difficulty spikes. Trophies weren't too bad though. Game is worth the couple bucks I got it on sale though..just definitely not full priced. #97: Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Man...I fucking love this duology. Great Ace Attorney 2 easily my favorite Ace Attorney thus far. Finished the duology back in 2021 but was missing some trophies unfortunately because no trophy guide at the time so I was being lazy about getting the last remaining ones until about a month ago. Thank god the game keeps track of collectibles. I highly recommend the duology. #98: Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight Easily the weakest MegaTen game(so far) and the weakest Persona Dancing game I have played. Music quality and quantity in this game was so lacking. So much repeat songs dunno why they even made this one before Royal and Strikers. Would've been better imo. Now I never want to hear Last Surprise or Get On Get Out There again. The PT's social links were boring as hell in this one compared to S.E.E.S(then again the characters are weak compared to S.E.E.S but whatever). Trophies were just as easy as P3D's so nothing to say there #99: Phantom Breaker Omnia Not much to say here besides the game being somewhat fun if not a bit wonky 2D anime fighter. Standard fighting game list. Story mode was nothing to write home about. Some trophies were a pain in the ass than they should be. Way easier and quicker than Phantom Breaker Extra's (then again that was in Japanese). Was worth it on sale though too bad the online is dead as hell. Took me about 7 hours and 56 minutes to plat. The game was just a filler for [*drum rolls*] PLATINUM #100(Big Milestone): Crash Bandicoot 1 [*Crash dance intensifies*] Man oh man have I been planning for this milestone for a while now. Blood, sweat tears and bullheaded determination, finally got the Crash 1 platinum. Easily my proudest one so far. Had to make this one my 100th since Crash is one of the first series I have ever played alongside Mario so had to make this one a special occasion. While getting colored Gems were definitely a pain in the neck, they pale in comparison to the bitch ass Time Trial Relics. Whoever at Vicarious Visions thought it was a smart idea to put Time Trials in Crash 1 and 2 needs to get kicked in their fucking Wumpa Fruits. You cannot rush these stages in a short time man wtf. Some were easy, some were ok, but most were a nightmare. High Road, Sunset Vista, Native Fortress, The Lab and Road to Nowhere are the biggest offenders and almost made me call it quits. High Road especially took me close to two hours. Never again lmao. Feel at peace getting this done. Crash 2 plat is a work in progress stay tuned Edited May 2 by ninja-star95

Popular Post OmriStyle27
#80 - Concrete Genie (PS4) - The Artist of Denska Known as "the street artist who brought Denska back to life". ------------------------------ Concrete Genie was a short little game with creative gameplay , nice story and beautiful artwork design. But it was pretty repetitive through the end which kind of hurt the whole experience of the game for me. it was also very short and i wish they did a lot more with this game , like improve the combat system to be more engaging and fun , or improve the controls to be a bit less clunky , or even add a level or two. but oh well , i was kind of glad that it was over when it did because of the problems i've mentioned above. will i recommend it? hmm yeah , it's a fun one-time experience , and if you like art you will probably like it even more. Popular Post OakfieldPark
#60 Pacific Drive Finally a great a new survival game. Survival games will always be my favourite type of game to sink my teeth into and titles like this remind me why, despite new ones being unfortunately so few and far between. It's not overly unforgiving (looking at you 'The Long Dark') although I kind of wish it was and I love the creative and original take on the story. It also weirdly nails the creepiest vibes despite it not being a horror game. I loved a lot of things about this but I think the things I loved most are the design choices, driving at night feels like actually driving at night - none of this "slap a blue filter over regular daylight and add a JPEG of stars in the sky" most games do. It's night. It's pitch black without a flashlight. You should probably get one. Speaking of night, this is the first game I've played in a long time with an actually realistically sized moon - the irl moon in the night sky is only the size of your thumbnail held at arms length so I have no idea why games keep making them utterly enormous while still boasting realism. It's a small detail but it adds SO much emmersion for me. Survival here is less so about yourself and more about your remnant (Station Wagon) which protects you, also there's a tonne of customization options however you have to go out and find them. As far as gripes, this one will likely be devisive but I really dislike that it has SO many toggles in the options menu. I know usually more options are better but when it comes to survival games the temptation to switch them all on and make the game 80-100% easier is always there and the "option" to become invincible really shouldn't be an option at all. I likely sound like a bitter old man shaking my walking stick on my lawn yelling "back in my day those were called cheat codes" but c'mon, man... "survival" game? Flipping them all begs the question why you even bought the game to play to begin with. Also with all the handholdy options there's ironically no option for permadeath. Anyway, this game is awesome, it's like driving through Simon Stålenhag artwork. Can't help but think this platinum would be a lot rarer without all the gameplay options but it is what is and I had a lot of fun making a supply run through the Olympic Exclusion Zone anytime I could (although 'Corrosive Downpour' anomaly can eat a bag of pp's, watch out in The Mire region).

Popular Post ZachBoardyHD
Platinum 151: Death or Treat A cute Roguelike game that quickly loses its charm. You play as ghost who enters this town to sell his goods but the town is barren due to the big companies taking over (like Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) but obviously spelt differently, I'm assuming to copyright which I thought was quite quirky so you have to go beat the bosses/Owners of these companies? The game literally only has a single cutscene and that's it. There are 4 chapters, in these you go into 5-7 generated segments before getting to the boss. The first few hours I had a good time with it but after a while the game lost all its charm because progressing through the levels and upgrading your stuff became an absolute slog as it require different materials which you get by killing certain enemies. The biggest gripe I have was the RNG material drops, even the common drops, it was taking 10-15 kills for the enemy to drop what I needed. It's not an issue if the game didn't require so many, to get the platinum you need a lot. The game took me 20 odd hours to complete but would have took 50 hours if it weren't for upgrading everything in one shop, reloading my save from the cloud and repeating the step with another shop. Most weapons were completely useless to use. For a game that takes a long time to complete if you're not using the save/reload trick there weren't enough of things/mechanics going on that and was very basic to keep you interested to continue on, resulting it becoming really tedious after a while. ( 1,8% Ultra Rare / 17,56% Rare ) Time to 100% the Game : 7 hours Completed in 1 month, 5 days Difficulty : 3 / 10 Game Rating : 8 / 10 Personal impression : Wow....what a VR2 experience. I really liked the first game ( Moss: Book I ) too but this is even slightly better in my opinion. I liked the ( no spoilers ) final boss fight. All in all it is a very good plattformer with some cool jump and run scenes and also some cool combat areas. I enjoyed the story and it was a great VR2 experience. You can play it relaxed while sitting in your couch. No need to be active. It is a sitting experience. I highly recommend you to play Moss 1 first before you play this one. Otherwise the story might be a bit confusing. The story is highly related to the first game. There is often a sale on PSN where they sell Moss Book as bundle ( Book I and Book II ). I would buy that. Thats what I did. Farming collectibles in VR can be a bit stressful but thank god there are not too many and most of the collectibles you can grab while playing. There is also a chapter select.

Great game, In terms of quality to me its better then Riptide but equal to first game. Played the whole game in coop, so it was even more fun. I heard many people complained game had some difficulty spikes in some parts but i didn't felt it. There was no annoying trophies since most of them are pretty straightforward. Only thing that i was disappointed was the DLC's. Yeah, they are easy too, but story was forgettable. Fingers crossed for a third game. Popular Post s68sc
#172 — Assassin's Creed 2 Fun 7.5 — Story 9/10 — Difficulty 3/10 I played this game back when it was released on PC, and despite his flaws, I really enjoy it, but replaying this in 2024 was a pain, don't get me wrong the story is amazing and everything about the lore, but the controls are bad, I rage a bit in some parkour parts, even though is the main mechanic of this game. Ubisoft remade Florence and the other cities perfectly, and this is probably the last great Ubisoft game. I'm going to complete the entire Ezio Trilogy, and hoping that the controls are better in the other titles. I Platinum the Best Assassin's Creed Game, but…

Popular Post mr_enigma26
Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment 7/10 Time to Complete: 41 hours The original Crisis core on the PSP I never played before due largely in part I never bought the handheld console. For the longest time I had no interest it despite playing the original FF7 and finishing FF7 Remake. With that being said, FF7 Rebirth finally here and how it tweaks the story it seemed like the best time to finally pickup Reunion and experience a part of the lore that I never experienced before. The Good: Overall, I had a decent time with this game. Zack is a pretty likable character and you get a bit more backstory on a few other characters as well. Story isnt very deep so don't expect Shakespeare or anything but its sufficient to learn how Zack connects to the overall arch of FF7. Plus, though I havent started FF7 Rebirth yet I feel its good homework to play this game as I'm sure FF7 Rebirth has tweaked things again and I dont want to be confused. Combat I feel is the game's strongest feature. Finding the right setup of materia and equipment helps make combat encounters more varied. Its cool to use different materia setups for mobs or specific bosses. I really appreciated the fact that if you die in a encounter the game allows you to change your equipment than jump right back into retrying the battle. Its a very nice quality of life feature. Graphics wise this remaster looks pretty decent but the old cutscenes can look a bit rough. Though it be forgiven as these cutscenes can only be upscaled so much from a game that was made specifically for the PSP all those years ago. The Not so Good: So if your going though the story and completing some side missions to ensure your level and materia are good enough to complete the story you can get it done in about 20 hours. HOWEVER, for the platinum be prepared to add another 20 hours or so to 100% all side missions, and grind out the stats you need for the superboss. This is the part where the game really outstays its welcome. I didn't mind maybe the first 10 hours in trying to clear the side missions as I had fun swapping out different builds but after a while my patience was running thin. A lot of the problem is side missions boil down to "run to boss fight" there is practically zero variety. They recycle the same maps from cave, hallways, farmland, desert, and etc. The gameplay loop really shows its age. Lastly, you NEED A GUIDE since so many trophies are missable. The Missables guide for the game is great and I really do recommend making a save file for each chapter just in case you missed something. Overall its annoying when a game has no chapter select and missable trophies can be a real pain. Overall: Despite my issues mentioned above its not a terrible game, just shows is wrinkles as it was originally made a long time ago with limitations as it was made for the PSP. Story, characters, and combat were the highlights. For any FF fan I would say give it a shot, especially if its on sale whether digitally or physical. Plat difficulty isn't that hard as playing on normal mode wasn't difficult. Once you know what build you want to use for the Superboss and grind out the neccessary stats it wasnt too bad.

Popular Post Moridin83
# 309 Need for Speed Unbound This is the worst NfS I've played in every way except graphically. I like Criterion, I like arcadey racers, so how did they mess this up so badly? Story isn't a big thing in these games, so I don't normally bother knocking a game for it, but every time Tess came on the phone, I wanted to slam my car through a wall to shut her up. The soundtrack was awful, which was a real letdown. It's not just that I'm not a huge rap fan, but I remember when EA games had varied soundtracks. There would be tracks you didn't like, but you could usually find half a dozen songs you'd enjoy. This one made me want to turn the audio off, and in fact I frequently did. Traffic is a know quantity in modern NfS, but that doesn't make it any more enjoyable when doing the activities. Races are one thing, but losing a drift run or a speed zone because the game puts vehicles in the only line you can take to succeed isn't fun, and it's not challenging, it's just stupid. The decision to make your heat carry over from day to night is also something I'm not a fan of. It ensures that you can't do any activities at night if you raced at all during the day, because some cop is absolutely gonna spot you and ruin your run. This means you're either racing, or doing activities instead of mixing it up in a session to keep the game from getting stale. Also, and this one is somewhat more subjective, but I think the in game economy is really poorly tuned. The amount of money you earn vs how much cars and upgrades cost means if you buy a car that doesn't turn out to be what you want, you've set yourself back a lot of playtime. It means you tend to go with "good enough" instead of playing around to find cars you really like, or having vehicles for different race types. You're definitely better off just tuning the handling, even if the car is still sub optimal for the event. If this sounds like I'm really down on the game, well, that's accurate. I'm frustrated because these are never world beaters, but NfS is typically a decently enjoyable brainless game, and this one made every decision possible to take away the enjoyment. There are worse racing games out there, but for my money, this is the absolute worst NfS in the trophy era. Stay away.

Popular Post Megahiro10
#133: Last Stop Difficulty: 2/10 Fun: 5/10 Time: 8 hours I played this game cause I wanted to play a choice-based game + it is leaving PS Plus soon. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the choice part. Last Stop features three different stories that connect in the last chapter. The first one with John/Jack was the most interesting one, the rest was okayish. You can make choices throughout the game but they don't really matter. Unless in the last chapter, and it's just the different outcomes for the characters. The platinum trophy is quite easy as you get trophies for each chapter. Then you also have chapter-specific trophies. Nothing really special, I just followed the guide on this website. Kinda wish your choices actually matter.

Popular Post Unlucky_Thir13en
#144: NEO: The World Ends With You PSNP Rarity: 10.95% Fun: 9/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Grind: 9/10 Overview: The World Ends With You was a masterpiece. A 10/10, one-of-a-kind experience for the Nintendo DS that I sank over 200 hours into back in the day doing literally everything there was to do in that game for the sheer enjoyment. And while I'm sad that we never got it on PS, I love that I at least got to trophy-hunt its long-awaited sequel. So how did it compare? It wasn't as good, but for a game I have so much adoration for, "not as good" is exactly what I expected. And if "pretty damn good" is the next rung of quality below "masterpiece", I'd say NEO was pretty damn good, and that was honestly a fantastic revelation. Considering it didn't have the touchscreen mechanics of TWEWY or the split screen, I had my expectations low, but the gameplay was immaculate. I just finished Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana a few months ago, and it had just become my favorite action RPG. Almost immediately, NEO TWEWY stripped that title away. Just like the first game, it is also incredibly stylish with an anime-comic book aesthetic and characters brimming with personality. For completionists, it could be a pain as its colossal amount of collectibles could even make Naughty Dog blush. But the OG took that approach as well, and I enjoyed this grind just as much as I enjoyed that one. So where does it fall short? NEO TWEWY's biggest fault is that the new main characters are constantly living in the shadow of the original cast's. Don't get me wrong, there are some GREAT additions. All of the Shinjuku Reapers in particular. But - and I don't think this is just coming from me as a fan of the original - the story itself is so heavily baked around the events and characters of the first game, and even by NEO's conclusion, the new main characters still feel almost secondary to the first game's cast. The plot also experiences quite a bit of stilted momentum as some of the characters wallow in their own uncertainty, and it was that lull that originally made me drop the game several years ago before finally returning to it this year. But I'm glad I ultimately did. Because even though NEO never escapes its predecessor's shadow, it's that dynamic that also gives this game some of its highest highs and had me grinning on several occasions for so long that my cheeks hurt. I don't know if I can recommend this game for people that haven't played the first one, as I think a lot of the magic is contingent on that experience. And I don't know if I can recommend this game even for people that have played the first one, as I'm sure many fans will feel insulted by the different approach they took and how lackluster it feels compared to the impact TWEWY had on them. But for me, this had a fun gameplay loop, some super rewarding story beats (no pun intended), and gave me hope that the series might not be dead after all. And that made the world of NEO a wonderful world to me.
