Popular Post Metal Slime King
Batman (Telltale Game) I'm Batman I ran through the first four episodes of Telltale's Batman game yesterday and finished off the fifth episode this morning, courtesy of this months PS+ titles. The only other Telltale game I played was Game of Thrones when that was given away with PS+ and I liked the Batman game a lot more. I found the story more interesting to go through but I sort of lost interest in the Game of Thrones show a couple of seasons in so the game had that going against it from the start. I think the graphic style of the Telltale games works a lot better for the comic characters from Batman than it did for realistic characters from Game of Thrones. The characters that were based on known actors looked particularly 'uncanny'. Personally there's just not enough game in a Telltale game that I would spend more than a couple of bucks on one but they make a great freebie. I've heard people complain about technical issues with this game (more so on PS3? ) but I didn't experience any. 2 hours ago, Mesopithecus said: I wonder if it would perform better on PS4? I played Forma.8 recently on PS4 and didn't experience any performance issues like slowdown. I thought it was a great little metroidvania.

This is a decent VN to play but if it wasn't free on plus i probably wouldn't even play it. I did follow the story at the beginning and didn't just skip everything. But even tho, story was just meh with way too much conversation Difficulty 1/10 - Enjoyment 6/10 Edited January 5, 2018 by Whyfire
DarkSoleride
Platinum 78: True Thievius Raccoonus Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Rarity: PSN 25.8% Rare // PSNP 52.86% Common Fun 5/10 (was average i had fun and frustration lol) Difficulty 1/10 (Personal) My first platinum of 2018! So along with new PS+ games out we have the January Sale!! So i decided to jump into the Sly Trilogy eh what can i say i really enjoyed this game for about 80% of the playthrough then came the Mz Ruby what an awful boss battle and then the final boss which was just as frustrating the use of different ways to defeat them was interesting compared to traditional methods used in games, however when the hit counter is off then can make it very annoying to finish. My only other complaint is some of the jump-swinging is awful constantly felt like the hooks where just too far away from each other to get across during the platforming side of things. With that out the way its a great game not too long just perfect for a game and the plus side is you do not even need the guide so long as you look through the levels for all the bottles no guide is needed which is perfect for when you are playing this on the Vita as the last thing i want to do is get out my phone and look up shit on the internet on how to do certain things or find them so yes this game i would recommend to play. One of those PS2 games i missed.
Biowolves
Not exactly my most reason one. But my first platinum ever was in skyrim for PS3. and just recently i managed to get my number 100 in Skyrim VR for PS4. I really love that game, and somehow keep finding new things, and having major dragon fights in VR, is just incredible

Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 4/10 As a huge Dragon Ball fan; I had a blast playing this game. It took me some time to this done, because I planned to make this platinum as my 9000th trophy, but then Persona 5 happened and earning this platinum trophy was postponed. Popular Post GeraltTheDuck
Platinum #1 N7 Elite Acquire all trophies Rarity - 6.85% (Very Rare) Glad i replayed this, still my favorite Mass Effect game, even with it flaws. Biggest flaw of game for me is the Mako car, it handles so bad and can be frustrating on Insanity difficulty. Reason this is my favorite is rpg elements this has that was removed in 2. Inventory system, wider skill tree etc. I just love the universe that Bioware created in this series. The overall story is not so good, but in my opinion story is not strong suit of Mass Effect. Its characters and world. There is lot of intresting alien races, with their own life style and strong sides. Garrus, Liara and Tali are my favorite characters. In terms of trophies this first game is annoying. Doing most side stuff 3 times was not a good idea, even some quests are very good at first time they get boring following times.

Eventide 2: Sorceror's Mirror Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 I know the Mundi games are easy plats (and are deemed trophy trash by some) but I actually have a lot of fun with these games. I think the art style and story telling in the game is decent (somewhat cheesy at times) I had interest in this one after playing Eventide and it didn't disappoint. I found some of the puzzles overly simplistic though and noticed this was one game where the items on the hidden object puzzles didn't change each playthrough. As always, the additional hilarious commentary by my husband just added to my enjoyment of the game

Popular Post Nihiris-
#82 - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Master of the Wildlands Collected all of the trophies First platinum of 2018! This was a long one, gotta be at least 50 hours or more. Not much to this one, pretty straightforward for the most part: complete the story, collect all documents, weapons, and artifacts around Bolivia make the bulk of the list. There are really only 3 trophies that you really have to work for/get kinda lucky with, but even they have easy ways out. That being said, I would definitely try and play with friends as it's a lot more fun (and like two or three trophies tied to co-op) since you're more than likely have a lot more memories with your friends than the actual game as the characters are all forgettable except for maybe the main antagonist of the story. But that's ok, this game is at it's very best with friends and easily one of my favorite co-op experiences this gen. Also when you've been playing with these numbskulls for 10+ years, things get interesting, it's never boring with us:
Popular Post Intoner_Zero
What I've achieved since Danganronpa UDG: #71- The Little Acre #72- Tales From The Borderlands #73- XBlaze Lost: Memories #74- TWD: The New Frontier #75- Steins;Gate #76- TT Guardians of the Galaxy #77- Demetrios #78- Dead Synchronicity All are pretty easy, the ones I liked the most were TFTB, TWD, Steins;Gate, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Worst was obviously XBlaze. Now onto my 2018 plats: #79- Lara Croft GO Liked that it was more action based than Hitman GO and it was a decent puzzle platformer. Now where's Deus Ex GO? #80- Tokyo Onmyouji -Tengenjibashi Rei no Baai- for V I'd probably enjoy this more if I could play this on PC as I'm a-ok with the pervy and/or gory scenes in BL stuff. My Japanese is pretty limited as I don't study it anymore, so I only understood the simple texts and dialogue. The settings and illustrations are pretty and I've always loved the "wa" aesthetic. Here's to another hopeful and enjoyable gaming year! I'd like to reach plat 100 too~

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #125: Bloodborne (December 13th, 2017) Difficulty: 7/10 Excitement: 10/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 50+ Hours FINALLY decided to give Bloodborne a shot last month after putting it off numerous times. The first few attempts I got my ass kicked. Over and over. As a low level character I could not beat that executioner. His big frame, giant poleaxe and large sweep attacks accounted for 20+ deaths. Then something clicked. I knew how to parry. I knew how to do visceral attacks. I knew how to dodge and time his jumps and attack style. I felt accomplished for beating a regular enemy. Not a boss, a regular enemy. This is the first time I've given a game a full 10 out of 10. Bloodborne is excellent. The reason I could not get into it at first was because of it's difficult learning curve. Bloodborne isn't a game you automatically pick up and play. You have to feel the game, learn it's controls, learn how the enemies act and behave, know how to use certain items at certain times. Then it clicks. It's a fun, tense journey that doesn't let go. Surprisingly I killed the Cleric Beast in one go. Father Gascoigne, on the other hand, was a bit intense. I found a chessy method of keeping a group of gravestones between myself and him and got half of his health down. Then he goes berserk in his second phase, and timing those parries becomes extremely important. A few mistakes can cost you all your Blood Vials, a form of currency used to upgrade your character and buy supplies. Even late in the game when I tackled Mergo's Wet Nurse I made a series of mistakes that forced me to try again. Died a few times more, then succeeded. Father Gehrman was a real pain in the ass. I hated this guy. He was fast, agile, very quick with his attacks, and sent me to my death more times than I can count. Eventually I overcame the challenge and beat him, several times. Had to beat him at least twice to unlock two of the three endings, then I beat him a couple times more after I grinded a bit in the Chalice Dungeons. Admittedly, when your character is a bit overleveled, tackling bosses who have lower stats than you do is much easier. Few games out there give you the sense of accomplishment and excitement as Bloodborne does when you kill a boss. Even the optional bosses were exciting to fight. But I ran into a series of problems with the Chalice Dungeons. While the first few are very easy, they quickly climb in difficulty as even a character with Soul Level 100 can have difficulty getting past certain sections. There are traps, enemies that ambush you, Phalanx like blobs (those who played Demon Souls will know what enemy I'm talking about) that drop on you with a high physical resistance, and so forth. Probably the worst moment I encountered in the entire game are the witches who ring bells that summon enemies. In one particular nasty section in one of the Chalice Dungeons numerous red spiders are rushing you. They hit hard, and if several get the jump on you you're pretty much screwed. I nearly broke my controller in one instance. I would say Amygdala and the boss before are two of the most difficult parts in Bloodborne. The Defiled Chalice Dungeon halves your health, and many regular enemies can easily kill you in 1 - 2 hits. This requires you to be a lot more cautious and ready, and all three bosses in this dungeon were intense. Thankfully due to DLC and game updates you can summon NPCs to help you in the Chalice Dungeons. They don't entirely make them too easy, you still have to be on your guard. But for once NPCs are actually useful. From Software did a great job with this game, everything from the graphics to the gameplay is spot on. In conclusion, Bloodborne is a must buy for any PS4 owner. I highly recommend the DLC, as it's more content worth your while playing. Orphan of Kos is perhaps the toughest boss I had to face in all of Bloodborne. But what a memorable fight. The cutscenes were done very well. In a way, I almost felt sad taking down Ludwig, the Holy Blade. He seemed to be someone that wasn't purely evil, but someone who was corrupted by the elements. This game has some of the most creative, impressive looking bosses I've ever seen. I can't say enough good things about Bloodborne. With this game complete, every Dark Souls game and Demon Souls is a must play for me. Edited January 6, 2018 by Spaz
Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #176: Energy Invasion EU (PS4) 4 hours to complete ( could have taken 3 had I not quit to menu). Must complete the levels in one go. L Linear is just rows of blocks. Endless is RNG. Invasion is more aliens than normal. Settings (Press Option during game-play) Toggling to Easy Mode: Aliens do not attack you with projectiles. You can stop time, have Laser than bounces the energy ball (limited time) (or it could trap the ball), where you have to catch it), faster bullet spray. No drops of any sort. The paddle does lengthen for a while(Do not know when it happens). Energy Ball that you with the paddle to break blocks..also can shoot out bullets while moving. No exploits like energy cycle, have to do endless mode legit. It is easy ( I had 50 lives when I got to level 30). Bit boring, tedious, but good for easy platinum trophy hunters. Was expecting some nice power ups. speed of the ball/paddle changes. No Neko Cat.... Popular Post D-Tron
It's been a while. A little too while. I've been away from the site and I guarantee I'm gonna do this again but I wanted to post my three most recent platinums because I enjoyed them so much (aside from the last one). #131 - Undertale Don't You Have Anything Better To Do? (Earned November 13th, 2017) I've been meaning to play this game forever but I held back and only promised myself I would get around to it if it came out on PlayStation and lo and behold, they even made a physical Vita copy which I couldn't resist. For better or worse, Undertale has garnished a huge fanbase to the point where some people didn't want to associate themselves with it because of how obnoxious said fanbase can be. However, I managed to stay away from it to the point where I was mostly going in blind. I had seen countless let's plays up to the Papyrus boss fight and I've seen multiple Sans boss battles because who the fuck hasn't? After Papyrus however, I was blind on everything and I'm glad I was. Undertale still has some really charming dialogue and characters despite the fanbase making them look a lot worse than they actually are. I found a lot of the characters to be quite charming and I also found the game to be no pushover. I couldn't beat Toriel, Papyrus and many others on my first try so it gave me a sense of accomplishment when I actually won. And the music oh man the music is phenomenal. One of the benefits of losing to bosses over and over was the theme songs. I really wish more games gave unique themes to each boss, it really added to the experience. The best boss theme goes to the one you approach in the next room in the following screenshot. (one of the best boss themes period). It was great gaame just like how Rick and Morty is a good show. But just like Rick and Morty, I wouldn't touch these fanbases with a 10 foot pole. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #132 - Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash MARVELOUS! (Earned November 22nd, 2017) Yeah, I'm one to talk about toxic fanbases, huh? Hey at least these characters are hyper sexualized to begin with?. I love Senran Kagura and despite the hyper sexualization the series is known for, I've always found the games to be mindless fun for me. Takaki and co. certainly don't pull any punches with the fanservice and even put all the girls in a cooking game (seriously) and went even further beyond with this water gun tournament (goty). I loved this idea and I had even more fun with it than I was initially expecting to. As usual the story is not that serious or endearing and the Shinobi Girl's Heart missions (Or Paradise Episodes in this game) are where the fun of the characters really shine. Ayame's Business was the best one which was great because it gave Shop Girl some much needed attention in her first playable appearance and I really hope they continue with Shinomon Master in the future as well. It has its flaws but it's a third person shooter you've never really quite played before which is what makes it so interesting. It's like the opposite of a western shooting game. Gritty adult males? nah, Anime girls; Realistic graphics? Nah, bright and colorful visuals; Real guns? Nah, water guns. It was really to move around using water jets for movement and tying that and your ammo to a water supply. I'd love to see a sequel tbh and I hope it does fix the flaws and slight repetitiveness it has to. On a side note, I could argue this is one of my favorite and best platinum screenshots, but it's Senran Kagura so it's definitely NSFW and risque. Spoiler Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #133 - Middle-earth: Shadow of War The Bright Lord (earned January 4th, 2018) This is my first actual platinum of 2018 and to say I'm disappointed in this is an understatement. Shadow of Mordor was my personal GOTY for 2014 because of how much it surprised me and I'm not even a huge Lord of the Rings fan. It was my first game for my new PS4 as well as my 50th platinum overall. Shadow of War's combat is mostly the same as Mordor's and that is by no means a bad thing since the original was so good. Shadow of War is... not as good. It's definitely a lot more ambitious than Shadow of Mordor but in a bad way. What I mean by a bad way is how the nemesis now works. There is so much going on in it that you can't keep track of it and it's always going against the player in such unfair ways. I don't understand how people thought it was cool, it was just plain annoying sometimes. Even when I thought I was putting my orc captains in their places, they'd still rebel against me because the game is just random. Not to mention that shitty blood brothers system where even if you manage to recruit both blood brothers, the one you recruited earlier still won't care and betray you because you hit him. I could go on and on about how much I hate the new nemesis system and I will. Man I fucking loved the Iron Will and Unbreakable traits. Even when I shamed those with Iron Will, it still wouldn't work. What's the point in even bothering with orc captains if I can't even recruit them? I don't want to get started on Assassins that would more often than not have Agile and No Chance. You could barely hit an orc with the earlier and one orc with a no chance ability grazed my foot and I lost my fortress right then and there. Perhaps it was always built to piss the player off which in that case I would have played on Hard or Nemesis. I even fought Zog in one of the last Carnan quests and it took me 6 minutes just to kill him and I even have a video of how frustrating it was just to land hits on him (Accidentally deleted it though). Arrow-proof was also glitchy, hell the arrows just were in general because even if I didn't want to hit someone with an arrow, I wanted to take advantage of my explosive shot to light them on fire and it still wouldn't work on captains with arrow-proof even you shoot next to their feet and hope the flames still catch them. While I'm on the subject of glitches though, often times my might (you know the meter that you build up to actually do things against captains) would just deplete for no reason at all Oh and fuck the Shadow Wars. That shit almost takes twice as long as the first three acts combined. Even if one took advantage of the microtransactions (which I didn't because fuck those to), it wouldn't matter unless you're max level (60) otherwise you're still going to be grinding those out to. And while your grinding those out, how about the whole dandy nemesis system decides it wants three orcs you beat your ass to level up just decide to start a rebellion against you while another captain cheats death AND betrays you at the same time AND blames you for him "dying" in the siege? I ended up making the same face as my friend Mug here (NSFW): Spoiler I'm really salty and disappointed in this game. It added a lot, in fact it added WAY TOO MUCH! I'm glad I borrowed my brother's copy and didn't invest a single penny into this game. It seems okay at first, but just like many orc captains, it just betrays you in the end. It took a lot away from the game by adding so much to it at the same time. I will always recommend people play Shadow of Mordor, but I would also recommend you stay away from this one. Not an awaful game but certainly an extremely disappointing sequel. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10
