Popular Post ZoutjeNL
Platinum #8 Hob Enjoyment: 8 Difficulty: 5 I loved Torchlight 2 so I was always curious to see what the developer had in store with Hob. Sadly the studio closed its doors now. Hob always peaked my interested. The artstyle is really nice and unique. The game itself does not explain much, you either hate these kind of games or love them. I personally like to play games occasionally that don't hold your hand all the times. Hob was a nice surprise, not knowing a whole lot about the game I did not know what to expect. Hob is a puzzle platformer with a light touch of combat. I am usually not heavy into puzzle games but I liked this one. Sometimes when I was stuck I looked up a guide to help me further, but trying to find the solution is what made the game quite fun. There are also a lot of collectibles to collect and shortcuts to unlock. All in all these did not take that long to collect (with a guide that is). It would probably take quite a while to find them on your own. You can complete Hob in a couple hours, if you take your time it might take up to 10 hours on your first playthrough. There are 3 difficult trophies that stand out: Die less than 5 times, speedrun the game in less than 5 hours and complete the game without upgrading your sword, health or energy upgrades. I would advise to not worry about these 3 but do them all on your second playthrough. All in all an enjoyable surprise. If you are interested in a different kind of game this one might be the one for you.

Popular Post SirDave1988
# 107 Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4) Be Greater Collect all Trophies Well, what I can say about this game that hasn't already been said? It really is as good as everyone says it is, a perfect example of the hype being realised. The easiest way to sum this up is if Spider-Man had his own Arkham City-style game, it really is exactly like that. Graphics are amazing, even on a standard PS4 in 1080p (can only imagine how good it would look in 4k on the Pro), controls are pretty much faultless and the story is awesome, like watching a quality Spider-Man movie in it's own right. I genuinely have no complaints about it, which is rare for me. I was totally hooked from the first day I played it up till the plat and I will continue on with the DLC and the eventual 100%. Very much recommended!!! Edited August 26, 2019 by SirDave1988
Popular Post SereneSilent
#29 Yakuza Kiwami Never played the original on the PS2 but I think this is a good remake. Yakuza Kiwami, a Remake to the original Yakuza on the PS2. I never played the PS2 version but I think I can safely say that this game is a good remake. If you played the prequel, Yakuza 0, you will have an understand on some of the characters in this game. If this is your first Yakuza game I recommend playing Yakuza 0 first if you can but if not then this game is another great place to start. So what is this game about? If you read my Yakuza 0 mini review(?) on this topic then it's the same, An Action/ Adventure/ Drama story about the criminal underworld. In this game it takes place in the year 2005 after an incident happened in the game. Can't say much without spoiling but let's just say the main plot happens. That's all I can say for now . Now for the gameplay, The best way to describe this is a beat em up game! If you played Yakuza 0 you're familiar with how the combat system works but for those who are new and trying this for the first time... the combat revolves around having four different type of combat styles. They are different from one another but a word of advice... one of the combat style's is usable but not recommended since it is weak until you upgrade it in later chapters. Not only can you use your fists to fight enemies but you can also use weapons such as bats, knifes, and much more. You can use heat actions which are powerful attacks you use when you have enough heat gauge. Now then.... the combat is the same to Yakuza 0 but there are some changes made to some of the attacks as in whether they're nerfed or made a bit stronger. An example I can tell is you can change battle styles while doing certain actions which was not possible in 0. Since that's I can say without ruining/ spoiling the story and the gameplay is similar to Yakuza 0. There are substories in this game and they're either funny, serious, sad etc, etc.On top of that there are plenty of mini-games to play in case you get tired of fighting enemies and want to relax a bit. Now for the trophies, they are slightly easier this time around. Some of them include doing special sub-stories, fully upgrading all your combat's styles to the max, completing a certain amount of substories, beating the main story's chapters, beat the game in certain difficulties and a new system which I can't say because it will reveal something to one of the combat styles. I just hope you like being stalked... I mean what? One of the biggest walls would probably the Perfectionist trophy as It will require you to do all the challenges the game has to offer. They can be as simple as speaking to speak x time, to grinding like beat x people with x style, and difficult ones (for me) such as get x points in x mini games. It is slightly easier due to you being able to get cheat items to make things easier but be careful when using them because you only have a limited amount of them and you cannot buy them.Oh and I guess another difficult trophy is the Mister Master trophy as it will require you to fulfill requests from a character in Premium Adventure which is a mode you can play after you beat the game. Word of advise if you plan to aim for the platinum, in the hardest difficulty always carry health items because you will need them. Trust me, if you are running with no health items and you are forced in those encounters.... you pray you can beat it without dying or be forced to reload to save file because it's the hardest difficulty. Yes game overs in the hardest difficulty means you have to reload you last save not retry the section you failed. Good Luck in Chapter 9! Kiryu Chan~! Difficulty: 5/10 (Normal Mode) , 8/10 (Hardest Playthough because i gave myself a handicap by not upgrading certain skills to increase my attack and damage) Enjoyment: 10/10
Popular Post DamagingRob
#406- Crayola Scoot Ultimate Rider Collect all other trophies Well, this was a weird one. You ride around on scooters, performing grinds and tricks like a Tony Hawk game. But then also have paint spewing everywhere when you jump, or perform any kind of trick. Many say it's Tony Hawk fused with Splatoon. I haven't played Splatoon, but if you have, and that's what it sounds like, well... there you go. The problem is, it's way too easy. You don't even have a balance bar when grinding, and can do so indefinitely in bowls. So, little to no challenge for most of the game. I say most, because sweet mother of God, a couple of miscellaneous trophies in other modes had me pulling my hair out. For a 3/10 Plat, there was a lot more frustration than I anticipated. The trophies I'm referring to require winning by a certain amount, in the mode where you color as much of the stage as possible. Whoever has the highest percentage of their color of paint on everything wins. Over 50% on your own was pretty bad, but the team one for over 75% is just awful... You're counting on luck, pretty much. That either the enemy A.I. doesn't do well, or that your A.I. teammates perform admirably. Good luck with either. Took so many attempts, before I tried a different stage based on a recommendation on the Xbox version. Still sucked like hell, but the Alien Theme Park stage did seem better. So, be ready for some frustration, is all I'm saying. But it's only $3 right now in the NA Store, and I was alright paying that for it. Much shorter than the guide stated, though. Didn't think I'd finish it in a day, since it said 10 hours. Platinum image: Spoiler

Popular Post aquartertothree
#163 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 I've played and owned these games multiple times but with the newest ports I figured it was time to do it again. The platinum is nothing serious to worry about other than some potentially tricky trophies that require specific interactions and carry across the three games. Definitely nothing to tear your hair out over. I have somewhat unconventional Ace Attorney opinions in that I think Justice for All is the best of the trilogy with Trials and Tribulations as the worst and I stand by that. All of them are at least good games still. It would be nice to see 4/5/6 released as a trilogy on PSN/other platforms eventually (I'd say the Investigations games also but this is Capcom who am I kidding???) as well. Popular Post Karl-Kai
.hack//G.U. King of The World I'm grateful for the trend of bringing old games to new consoles, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to experience this one. This was lots of fun in every respect, so I happily did a lot more than the trophy list asked for and had a great time in doing so. Awesome. Lost Sphear Tale of Memories and the Moon When I picked this game up, I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be a fun game and I enjoyed playing it. The old-fashioned style it had going on was nice; I liked the game mechanics, and even if at times cliché, following the story was entertaining. With no auto-save whatsoever, a few times I lost a couple of hours worth of leveling and item hoarding... but, re-doing that stuff wasn't hard.
Popular Post StilRh
Plat #153: Aegis of Earth: protonovus assault Time 30-35 hours (some of this AFK) Fun 5/10 Difficulty 2/10 Nice simple city builder/tower defence. I dropped it years ago as it was too basic, had I kept playing I would have seen a few additional layers that kept it more interesting. Rekindled my interest in it when I saw it on sale and it reminded me it was in my backlog. Plat #152: Mekabolt (PS4) Time: 20 minutes Fun: 4/10 Difficulty 1/10 Nice palate cleanser and cheap, easy platinum. I wouldn't have minded a longer more involved game with the same mechanics as it's a nice gaming premise. Will hoover up the vita cross-buy plat later this evening.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#388 - Flipping Death I would love to play the review copy critics got, as pretty much all professional reviews gave this one a fairly good rating. What I expeirenced were 2 softlocks and one hard crash resulting from one of the softlocks, and then there's the subpar gameplay with clunky as hell controls. Granted the controls are supposed to be like that, however it doesn't matter if it's on purpose or by mistake, because the result is still the same... bad fucking controls. If it was just to get around, then it would be fine, but actually having to move stuff around that gets hung up everywhere is just bad design. All that's left is a cool concept and interesting art style. Enjoyment: 5 (I probably would have given this a 6, if it wasn't for the technical issues) Difficulty: 2.5
Popular Post AtomicAltruism
All trophies obtained (Obtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies) ****MILESTONE**** Platinum: #50 __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yet another knockout by Sony. The premiss is ballsy as hell i love it, while the writing is a little sloppy and the facial recognition freaks me out sometimes... The story is solid. However it's the combat that really makes up the bulk of this experience, at least with me it was, FUN FUN FUN It's intuitive hack and slash bow fighting makes me smile every time i see metal fly through the air! The visuals are still some of the best i've ever seen on PS4 and the sounds mine make when in combat... WEEEEEEEEAAAAAAOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!! is what it sounds like It's got your standard OW trophies, Collectible/Kills with X and such. They are easy to follow fun to get, if the nature of this kind of game still appeals to you after 40hrs. Popular Post MidnightDragon
#49 Furwind This is a cute retro style platformer. You play as a fox trying to save your forest home from the forces of evil. There are 15 stages along with some side stages. The game is a bit more difficult than I was expecting going into it, but that's hardly a bad thing. Some of the challenges definitely test you and the third of the three temple levels is definitely the hardest in the game. I definitely enjoyed it and it's worth a try.

Popular Post Masamune
Grand Finale Obtained all trophies in Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Playtime: 69:15:10 (1 week, 3 days, 3 hours) Screenshot: Spoiler This was probably one of my favorite dungeon crawlers to date, I don't think it beat Mary Skelter, but it definitely takes 2nd place (sorry Demon Gaze, you're 3rd now). Despite some seriously dark scenes, the story gets pretty good... I kinda seen the dark stuff coming after seeing what happens to a certain animal in the beginning of the game though. ? Gameplay is just like your basic first-person dungeon crawler, only there's no annoying one-way walls, or enemies that can rearrange your party order. No random battles either (although they don't bother me that much myself), the enemies show up an symbols on the map & can be avoided/ambushed easy enough. Difficulty can range from easy to moderate, this heavily depends on what difficulty you're playing on though... there are a couple difficulty spikes, but nothing impossible. After I built up my party in the final dungeon, I was destroying pretty much everything I came across (even on Nightmare), & I didn't even mess with equipment synthesis any, I was just using the normal stuff I found... Final party lineup, & some of their stats: Spoiler You see that bottom-center character named Triela (who gets a huge stats boost from the Charmer Pact)? That's the only reason I managed to beat the final boss on Nightmare on my first try. I was doing fairly well until I got the boss down to a critical state, after that it just nuked my entire party for 2-3 times their max HP... except her, she managed to dodge every attack from start to finish (around 15 turns) until I whittled away the last of it's HP. If I would've known she was going to be that awesome, I would've made at least 5 of them. & finally, the trophies! ...basically they're all story-based. ? Yep, that's it... they could've been a bit more creative with them. ? As long as you go for the True End (which requires defeating 6 super bosses, probably only 2 of which can pose any real threat), it's an automatic platinum. ...that ends my wall of text, TL;DR: it's an awesome game, if you like dungeon crawlers, get it!

Popular Post Copanele
No. 63 : Dante's Inferno Platinum Name : Master of The Inferno Rarity : 20.56%(uncommon) Hardest trophy : Poetry in Motion - 666 combo, main game It's in The Trial - finish 25 1p and 15 2P EA trials in the Trials of St. Lucia DLC - not achieved yet Difficulty : 2/10 main game, 4/10 with DLC Personal rating : 5/10 main game, 7/10 with DLC Finally managed to get out of PS3 hell with this game. In this game we follow our main protagonist Dante ( no,not the slick DMC one) in a quest to save the soul of his beloved Beatrice from the clutches of Hell, all while smashing thousands of demons with his Holy Cross and Scythe. The first major feeling that I had from this game is that it's an edgy God of War ripoff. Dante's movements and combat feels straight up from an adventure with Kratos. Similarities stop here though because compared to the infamous blades of chaos , Dante has two main weapons : The Scythe that he took from defeating Death (yeah, I know...death died) and the Holy Cross of Beatrice. The Scythe is...a scythe, nothing interesting, if you played a game like Dark Souls you know what a scythe's moveset is. It also acts like a grappling hook for reasons but yeah boring weapon. The most interesting one though is the Cross. It's the medieval equivalent of a holy machine gun and I kid you not I laughed the entire game while I PEW PEW'd the demons. You fire white crosses in a spread and you can also absolve the enemies with it. Deus Vult unlimited. It might be one of my most favourite weapons in videogames, pretty memorable. Apart from that... the game was pretty bland in my opinion. I played it on easiest difficulty setting at first ,the amped up the difficulty for the second playthrough(I needed it for extra scythe upgrades) and apart from demon hp and damage nothing changed really. The game started up pretty interesting but really for me the first two areas and the first 2 bosses are the only fun parts. I lost interest after that mainly because the whole script felt like an edgy take on the Divine Comedy (and that book was edgy at its time). The only shock factor was in the end of the game * spoiler and mildly graphical content* : Spoiler LUCIFER'S HOT DOG Really how could I take him seriously as a villain if all he did was flailing his ding dong while in the air? That was the only terrifying aspect of hell. Kill Death, kill Minos, my cursed father and brother in arms and in the end??? I have to fight Lucifer's schlong. Whoop-de-doo EA. The DLC however is another story. Ignoring the stupidly high price for a DLC AND the Dark Forest DLC (really what the heck was that?) , the Trials of St Lucia is the only aspect of the game that I've genuinely enjoyed. I didn't 100% them (postponed the 2P trials with a friend) but mostly they are really well done. The 2player ones especially, you can't mindlessly mash buttons and clear enemies, for some levels you have to think of strategies (Looking at you , explosives only level that keeps chucking enemies off the cliffs). Honestly I could get rid of the game and just have the Trials and I'd be happy. That's what I wanted from trials : Challenges. Also the community is VERY active, you can find a ton of player-made Trials, all ranging from genuinely hard trials to medals-only trials. You won't get dissapointed in this aspect. All in all, a pretty meh experience. Don't regret playing this game but after the final Trial trophy I doubt I'll ever touch it again. The game that is.

Popular Post Tankor_smash
#307 Vikings: Wolves of Midgard I was hoping that this would be a bit more Diablo like, but it is really just a action/hack and slash RPG. Fairly generic . The perma death mode wasn't too bad you just need to slow play it and grind out some levels at the beginning.
