Popular Post DeathNyx
Resident Evil 6 (PS3) Platinum N°88: RESIDENT EVIL 6 Platinum Trophy Congratulations! You've overcome all your fears in RESIDENT EVIL 6! Game enjoyment: 7 - 7.5 Trophies enjoyment: 6 - 6.5 Trophies difficulty: 4 - 4.5 Comment: My sister's game, was in my backlog since years and now, with this C-orona virus pandemy going on, i decided to pick it up. Trophies are overall easy, even the Solo Professional playthrough is quite a joke if you're knowledgeable about RE mechanics. The game is great even though i never really been into the series (I only played RE4, RE5 Gold Edition and this one). Recently saw some RE7 gameplay that that is really cool, i might give it a try in the future.

Popular Post Scarred_LWolf
#89 Arc: Twilight of the Spirits Spirit Master Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 45+ Hours I have played this game multiple times on PS2. When it got released on PS4 i decided to play it again and get the platinum. I managed to get first place worldwide. The game is good and fun just a little time consuming because you have to grind up levels to have easier time on the battles. The arenas were ok...though the most boring ones are the ones that require you to finish 30 stages without skills and so on...so on there you don't have any easy way or choice but level up to 45+. The only truly missable trophies are collecting the books and tablets so overall its fun. The platinum can be earned earlier than 45 or 50 hours if you know what to do and where to farm. If there will be another game Arc, i will be glad to play it so hopefully one day they will release one. ------ I didn't mention the previous games i earned because i thought there is no need to mention all of them so i jumped and chose this plat for managing to get first place. Now off to complete another game to collect trophies and play FFVII remake for milestone.
Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum # 242 Fun: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 The Phantom Thieves return in an updated re-release of Persona 5 that has more content and features that wasn't present in the first release. This includes a new character, new activities and new personas to fuse. The game is still as fun as it was when it first released and the stylish action remains. This will be a short summary because the game isn't too tough to platinum. Most of the trophies are story related or involves activities you'll just do anyway while exploring all options available to you. The most difficult one would probably killing the reaper which if you tackle him late game or use safety difficulty against him he's a push over. I'd recommend looking up the requirements for the true ending so you won't be locked out of it after beating the first game's final boss. If you didn't play Persona 5 before I do recommend picking up Persona 5 Royal, however if you have played it before I don't feel the new content is worth the current price.

Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #427: Rogue Legacy (PS4/Vita) Projared video got me interested in this game. When it came on PS+, was glad to try it out. It was hard, but the ability to get perma upgrades made me commit to multiple runs. Beat the Whole game in a month, but the remix bosses held the Platinum Hostage. I gave up after numerous failed attempts and only at a whim tried again in few years. Managed to beat 3 of the 5 remixes. Green Flame Rock farts were hard to maneuver. Always get compromised. Came back to in another 2 years. Finally beat both Bosses. Then grinding for Thanatophoba took 4 days. (10 K Gold 1 st run, 27 K 2nd run, 34 K 3rd, 20 K 4th, forgot the rest took me 9 Heirs to reach final boss. 11th Heir Hokage did the job)

Popular Post Masamune
The Ultimate Warrior Earn all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Playtime: N/A (1 day, 4 hours, 20 minutes) That was... quick. ? I doubt that even took 10 hours (skipped all scenes), the majority was spent on Budokai 3 (the first one just took a couple hours). Easy or not though, I am glad I finally have a DBZ plat, because I probably won't get anymore (seeing as all the other games are plagued by online trophies). Really all you need to do is unlock all characters, & beat all the tournaments for both games, that'll pretty much get you the plat (& you can play on the lowest difficulty too). The most challenging part about it (if you can even call it that ) is getting a character up to Lv36 in 3 so you can unlock the Cell Games, & that tournament itself wasn't even that hard (maybe easier since you can't get a ring out), I cleared it the first time using Kid Buu.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #503: Difficulty: 3/10 (with cheats) Playtime: 31-32 hours Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Now, I won't bore you with an account of my long and convoluted relationship with this game; suffice to say, my opinion of it has hit nearly every stage of the spectrum over the years. Hadn't played it in a dog's age, so I did. ...and jeez, it's kinda good, ya? Yes indeed, as a classic RPG it's still a fine bit of business. It's a solid mix of tradition and innovation that is pretty damn timeless. The opportunity for triple gameplay speed alleviates a lot of the sluggishness the game always had in and out of battle, and I'd be lying if I said it weren't all the more fun for it. There's a lot of remasters could benefit from optional, forward-thinking quality of life enhancements like this. Heck, I would've liked to see some more changes, like a triple AP weapon for every character instead of just two... hell, Triple AP armor while you're at it, eh? I just love efficiency boosting stuff like that, me. It's just as well my favourite party is Cloud/Yuffie/Cid anyways, I guess. As for the story... the Midgar section is one of most satisfying story sections in any game, but as per usual, it trails off into an increasingly unfocused mess from then on out. There is a good story somewhere in here, but the clunky and anemic writing (or just perhaps the sheepish localization) drags it all down. Characters flit in and out of the narrative without much fanfare; I never really get a solid feel for most of them. I want to like it, but it's just a clumsily told story with the odd moment of genuine pathos appearing only sporadically. Like the video game Morricone that he is, Uematsu's classic score does an infinitely better job at providing emotional depth than the writers. As a game, it holds up really well; much better than I remember. It's just as well I've become more of a "gameplay over story" kind of guy over the years. And just saying, as a guy who still takes pride in having completed it 100% on my old backwards compatible PS2 (RIP) with a crappy third-party PSOne memory card shaped like a car that you had to physically press down every time you needed to save because the connector pins were faulty out of the box... I'd say I've damn well earned a semi-tainted cheat playthrough with the occasional bit of God Mode, if any person alive has! Proud of how much I still remember as it pertains to completion, actually... I only missed that damn materia in the racing lounge and Barret's ultimate weapon... but you know, that only motivates me to play it again sometime, and you can bet your last piece of Gil that it won't be as long a wait as last time, because that's what happens when you're pleasantly surprised by a game you thought you knew like I was. As for the remake? I'll try the demo sometime I guess, but few game companies have let me down as consistently often as Square has done for 13 years or so... and it never stops hurting. We'll see... (Psssst, because I'm a weird person who does weird stuff like this... I decided to unlock the Limit Break trophies in the order of which I like the player characters, in ascending order... so if you're an even weirder person than I, go on, look at my trophy list ordered by date and you shall certainly obtain this quintessential bit of information. Go on, ya looney!)
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#301: The Lombax Triumphan My third R&C game and it was alright. The game-play is still a lot of fun; I think I described it as what Jak 2 TRIED and failed to be, a platformer shooter hybrid with small open-world elements, but never too much that it gets annoying. Every element of gameplay is nice and polished, and the second run was a blast thanks to the always overpowered Rhyno weapon. Oddly enough, I really didn't feel the drive for my initial playthrough of it (because of of course it's always a requirement to play the game 2 times for the platinum). I wondered why that was, but I think now it may have been the story. A lot of criticism of this entry is that it becomes generic and too serious, and I definitely picked up on that. We have our super bland leads, our unbearably annoying side characters, a predictable new ally-turned-antagonist, a chosen one-esque plot; there was just nothing interesting going on. Side thought; how did I get through the other games and NOT walk away loathing Dr Nefarious? Like, Qwark had a good number of trying-too-hard-to-be-funny moments, but this asshole has no off switch at all. Everything he did, everything he said, left me thinking "Oh for the love of the lombax god, you are NOT funny, just fucking DIE" It's to the point where I don't care about any of his villainous accomplishments before or after, his portrayal here puts him on my Worst Villains list.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#453 - Red Bow (PS4) For some reason I enjoyed this version more than the Vita one. Popular Post Cave Johnson
Resident Evil 3 So Long, RC Obtain all trophies. I actually platinumed Resident Evil 3 over two weeks ago. Even now, there's not much I'd like to say about it; I don't feel strongly about the game either way. I figured I might as well throw it in since I got another platinum recently. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered. Persona 5 Royal The Phenomenal Phantom Thief Obtained all trophies. Initially, I hadn't planned on playing Persona 5 Royal anytime soon. Assuming it would be like Persona 4 Golden, it wasn't a priority for me. While I like Persona 4 quite a lot, I don't think the additional content in Golden adds much to the experience. Anyway, I ended up borrowing P5R from my sister when she wasn't playing it (obviously). At the time, I had finally gone back to finish the affection grind in Project Diva X (still doing it as I type this). Any excuse not to go through that bullshit for a few hours sounded good to me. The point I'm trying to get to here is that the additional content only makes the game better, contrary to what I expected. Aside from some new events, it's more or less the same as the original until beating the (former) final boss. Due to this, I wouldn't recommend Royal to those who have played P5 recently. It's been three years since I played the original, so it wasn't a problem for me. The most I can say without spoiling anything is that the last palace is very different from the rest of the game (in a good way). I tried to do some things differently to change the experience a bit. However, I couldn't seem to change my ways that easily. First, I considered romancing a different girl, but I just couldn't; partially due to seiyuu bias I will always pick Futaba. Speaking of which, I have to add that the voice cast of Persona 5 can only be described as legendary. That aside, I did switch out Ryuji for Yusuke in my main party, but other than that it stayed the same until the last palace. My main party this time was Ann/Yusuke/Makoto until the end, where I switched to Spoiler Ann/Sumire/Akechi. The only consistent member was Ann. Would I kick one of my favorite singers out of my party? Of course not.
Popular Post Berendsapje
Well, getting a trophy icon is harder than I thought. Anyways, my most recent platinum is F1 2016. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Probably the easiest F1 game to platinum, due to barely any online trophies, a relatively short career mode, and easy random trophies. The hardest one is without a doubt "So you think you're fast" which requires you to win a 25%+ distance race (so like half an hour, with tire wear) on ultimate. What made it better is that I won this race with a double overtake on the last straight, so that makes it extra special. Edited because I figured out how to make it more fancy. Popular Post Eramir
Platinum #81: inFamous 2 Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 I remember playing this the first time and thinking how cool it would be to play the other karma. It was disappointing, because I expected too much. Also the changes in appearance are minimal. They did that better in the first game. All in all it's easier than the first game and I had fun, which is important. Next up will probably be God Of War, just need to do a cleanup round. Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#354 - Distraint (Vita) This on the Vita was a massive letdown. It only fills about a third of the Vita's screen, which makes every single line of text way too small to be read comfortably. Very poor design choice. Hoping the PS4 version handles that better. It also feels like it went on just for the sake of adding length to the game. Enjoyment: 5 Difficulty: 2
Popular Post madbuk
#369 - Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below I went into this with a little trepidation. I enjoyed One Piece: Pirate Warriors 1 quite a bit, and found 2 disappointing, so before playing this my opinion of musou was split a clean 50/50, and thus I wasn't completely sure I'd end up enjoying this. I'm glad to say that it was actually a lot of fun. I do have a couple of issues with it - the tower defense mechanics were annoying, which is perhaps my biggest issue with the game, and the combos weren't quite as satisfying as the ones in One Piece, but everything else was good so I can look past these minor issues. The tower defense stuff was only especially annoying when you're defending a living target whos AI is too braindead to even try and dodge opponents and just stands there tanking the hits. The run speed isn't particularly fast either, so have fun taking out mawkeepers (who summon other enemies) that are far away from your target and then have fun getting back there without your defense objective already being dead. I liked the overall structure of this much more than the One Piece games. The story is presented better, and the addition of quests was a fun diversion, even if the quests don't really have any meaningful storytelling involved. I also liked the cast more than the One Piece games and just in general the Dragon Quest world is more appealing to me than the One Piece one (for reference, I've played Dragon Quest XI and haven't seen a single episode of One Piece, so I may be a bit biased here.) I'd like to mention Maya quickly - her voice actress is the woman who played Rani Chandra in Sarah Jane Adventures, and I was quite impressed when I found that out because her voice was absolutely nothing like Rani's. Even once I knew, I couldn't see similarities. She has quite a range, it seems. The rest of the cast was good as well for the most part, and I really appreciated that this game had English voice acting unlike the One Piece games. Japanese VA is fine, I can enjoy it (I'm a big fan of VNs as a genre, and Yakuza) but it's definitely more enjoyable to me when it's in a language I can actually understand and fully appreciate. Overall I enjoyed this a lot. I'm not sure it'll be fun for another 250 hours, so I'm a bit hesitant to play the sequel as well, but maybe some day. I still have One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 to play as well and I'm hoping that even if that doesn't end up as enjoyable as this, it'll at least be as enjoyable as One Piece: Pirate Warriors 1 and not a slog like 2 was.
