But before we go on our platinum grinds for 2020, lets take a little look back at 2019 as some of everyone's biggest achievements & how much everyone has done in the last year. How many platinums have you gotten this year?: I've gotten 49 this year. Second highest so far. How long have you been hunting trophies now?: 4 & ahalf years. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Superhot VR for me, extremely taxing & demanding, but super fun. What was your worst platinum this year?: Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland. Super boring & grindy. and to finish it all off, What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Final Fantasy 7 or Persona 5 Royal for me as I can't decide between the two. How many platinums have you gotten this year?: 42 new plats How long have you been hunting trophies now?: 11 years since my first trophy What was your proudest platinum this year?: The Evil Within, going back to that great game and do the Akumu run was one of my milestones since the first time i played the game, but i have a lot of games and was really into Destiny/Destiny 2, finally this year i left Destiny and put all that time in my backlog including this masterpiece. Plus if you play it with 4 people the damage the zombies end up doing is insane. Infected become fast zombies that can 2-3 shot you at full health & then run at you in a group. The only one that is gonna suck/not be that good is Re:Chain of Memories solely for the terrible card based gameplay which made it so hard to get the platinum for because it just played so atrociously. Either way I'd still recommend as it's one of my favorite game series & a beloved part of my childhood. The more people who experience the entire series the better in my book! How long have you been hunting trophies now?: Hunting seriously for about 1 and a half years. I know, I'm slow. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Bioshock. It's a really fun game and I got the hardest difficulty with no vita chambers trophy in one try. What was your worst platinum this year?: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2. Between the one-two punch of Mega Man X7 and Mega Man X6, my all time most hated Mega Man game, it was really hard to force myself through those games. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Trials of Mana. How long have you been hunting trophies now?: 10 and a half years now. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Beat Saber. Normally with trophies we just kinda sit there and earn the things, but Beat Saber made me feel like I physically accomplished a feat. I feel like I improved a real skill, and honestly just felt like a better person on this side of earning the plat. That’s awesome. What was your worst platinum this year?: Division 2. One single bugged trophy (a friend in need) made the entire experience just absolutely awful in every way. The hoops folks have to jump through to snag that one trophy... ugh I do NOT recommend. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Probably the Last of Us 2. The first game was so amazing, and earn in the plat is a memory I still cherish it this day. How long have you been hunting trophies now?: A little over 1 month. My first trophy was 26/11/2019. I did hunt achievements for years on Xbox though, before I decided to move to PlayStation back in November. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Shadow of the Colosuss. Not tough by any means but is now mine and my sons favourite game of all time. So it's super special to me. What was your worst platinum this year?: N/A as I haven't yet played anything that I didn't enjoy. I'm sure I'll fuck up this year and start something I regret lol. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020? Torn between Sekiro and Bloodborne. I have many games to play this year so one can't complain. How long have you been hunting trophies now?: 4 Years. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Bayonetta, I thought it would of proved to be more difficult than the early God of War titles with how fast paced the gameplay of Bayonetta seemed but it was just different and by the end of achieving the Platinum unexpectedly Bayonetta became one of the most memorable games I've experienced . What was your worst platinum this year?: Star Wars The Clone Wars Republic Heroes it became somewhat tedious, due to not keeping track of levels i needed to replay with different characters as well as the ranking system. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020? How long have you been hunting trophies now? 3 or 4 years now? Not sure honestly. What was your proudest platinum this year? Nex Machina by far. It's my first Ultra Rare platinum and it was pretty challenging getting the last few trophies in that game. Very fun game, but still quite challenging. What was your worst platinum this year? Jack n Jill DX just because it's just one of those easy plat games, and even if I told myself I wouldn't do those games anymore, I ended up doing it lol. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020? Basically more Rhythm game Plats since I only have 1 so far. Really want to get DJ Max Respect and Taiko no Tatsujin if possible. For newer games probably FF7 and Cyberpunk. I got back into gaming sometime after the PS4 came out and the PS3 was being phased out. And since I was the kind of person that always tried to 100% games before trophies, trophy hunting came naturally to me. ? What was your proudest platinum this year?: Finally going back to Plat Uncharted. Heck this year was the year of me finally finishing several games. What was your worst platinum this year?: Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension? I didn't really hate any games this year. I tend to stay away from games I might dislike. But I've yet to Plat How To Train Your Dragon 2. The racing is garbage in that one. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020? Resident Evil 2. I'm saving it for Plat number 200. And not because I suck as Hunk. ? Well maybe a bit sucky as Hunk. I wish I had more time to game How long have you been hunting trophies now?: 10 years What was your proudest platinum this year?: Collar x Malice Unlimited, it was easy but really fun What was your worst platinum this year?: Hakuouki, I really hated this game and it took forever even just skipping all routes. I found it too boring, so I only properly read 2 out of 12 routes. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Final Fantasy 7 remake, that will be the game of the year for me. Khain24 Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 How many platinums have you gotten this year?: 10 How long have you been hunting trophies now?: "Hunting" for like 2.5-3 years, first plat was way back in 2011 (Dragon Age II) What was your proudest platinum this year?: Red Dead Redemption II - Managed to grind through terrible MP mode to level 50 and skin/scan way too many animals. What was your worst platinum this year?: The Walking Dead (Season 1) - No real skill involved. Very easy Telltale game. Honorable Mention to Shenmue II for being unnecessarily drawn out and a bit boring especially towards the end. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Final Fantasy 7 Remake probably. I'm about a year behind on "new" releases due to somewhat limited time. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Red Dead Redemption 2. Not a hard platinum, but very grindy and time consuming. Played it every day about 4-6 hours and it took almost 2 months to get the platinum trophy. What was your worst platinum this year?: Tower of Dragonasia and Color Slayer. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and maybe Gta V. Edit: Completely forgot Cyberpunk 2077. How long have you been hunting trophies now?: Since 2012 in terms of caring about trophies, although I only really started pursuing platinums in late 2014-2015. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Mercenary Kings as it was a game I never gave a proper chance due to it seeming daunting at the time, but it resonated with me this time around. While the platinum is more of a grindy endeavor as opposed to difficult, I'm still genuinely proud of myself for accomplishing it. What was your worst platinum this year?: Assault Gunners as it was a mediocre experience. It's a fairly simple platinum to obtain, but the DLC trophies are more difficult to attain. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: I have 2 contenders, which are Ghost of Tsushima and the Flame in the Flood. I spent too much time playing Apex and Destiny last year. Not too many new games grabbed my attention in the first half of the year either.How long have you been hunting trophies now?: Since April 2016. What was your proudest platinum this year?: I guess God of War. Not particularly difficult or anything. Just glad I went back to get the platinum for such a great game. What was your worst platinum this year?: Tough choice, non of them were really bad. But I'll go with Thronebreaker, over half the trophies (20+) were missable which meant following a guide for a little too long. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Difficult to say without being able to see the trophy lists. But my most anticipated game is Cyberpunk 2077 so probably that. The Last of Us Pt.2 and Ghost of Tsushima are up there too. Hopefully the trophy list for TLOU2 isn't as boring as the first's. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Probably The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki. Not only was I needing to wade through a game in a language I'm not that great at reading yet, but I was also needing to do a guide heavy game with a lot of missables with very poor quality guides and also had to deal with a trophy glitch that required me to redo a very tedious trophy. I was definitely proud at me not giving up because this was indeed frustrating at times and many people may have given up on the plat with a similar experience. What was your worst platinum this year?: Gem Smashers. This is hands down the worst plat I've ever had to get because the game is terrible and the trophies on Vita are glitched. Any game that can get a trophy glitch that requires a full on reformat to resolve is terrible. For most of the year I was still finding settings that were messed up from that reformat. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: The new Kiseki game Falcom announced, though I probably won't get the plat for that in 2020. I do plan on preordering once preorders are up because I'm a failure at waiting for new Kiseki games to be localized. I had planned to just finish the game and then buy the rest of the trophies from the trophy shop but the game was so good that I couldn't do that and instead got the platinum 'legitimitely'. What was your worst platinum this year?: Warhammer: Chaosbane. Finishing the game once was not that bad, but then to finish it three more times with the other characters got really boring. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: Cyberpunk 2077, though I imagine it's not going to be easy. What was your proudest platinum this year?: Battlefield Bad Company 2, mainly because of the grindy multiplayer trophies i i did not think in 2019 i would be able to finish this game i just started it up for the fun of it as i love this game but thanks to a great team of trophy hunters here on PSNP we all got through it and its my proudest of 2019 to own. What was your worst platinum this year?: Split / Second this game is just out to screw you over at ever twist and turn its a satisfying platinum to obtain, but my god is it a pain in the ass. Any little knock can screw your perfect run. The online trophies were fine i could self-boost them all with PlayStation Now on PS4 and my PS3 copy the story mode was a pain. What game are you most looking forward to getting the platinum for in 2020?: If it is a game coming out in 2020 then Ghosts of Tsushima, if it is any game then Battlefield 3 as it will complete my platinum collection of my favourite Battlefield games released. This year I think I'm going to focus on platinums a bit more. How long have you been hunting trophies now? Since trophies first became a thing, so about 11 and a half years. What was your proudest platinum this year? Borderlands: The Pre Sequel - Not a hard platinum by any means but one that takes a good bit of dedication, and I loved every minute of it. What was your worst platinum this year? Medal of Honor - The online in this game is dog shit and takes way too long to complete for what should be fairly simple, and the campaign's not any better either.
