Post Your Top 3 Platinum's in the Following 5 Fields

Most fun platinums:
1 - Any interesting VN/Adventure (Zero Escape, Danganronpa, 428, Raging Loop, Somnium Files, Death Mark, so forth)
2 - Resident Evil Resistance (I don't do many online games but this one was enjoyable. Gives you targets across all the characters and it's fun to manage to hit them)
3 - The Coma 2 (little trophy information existing makes me warry but if it's something I'm interested and just released it ends up fun to me. Comparing notes with other players when needed)

Most grindy platinums:
1 - Star Ocean: The Last Hope (long grind. So bad my PS3 went from not crashing to crashing a good degree on it)
2 - White Knight Chronicles (long grind which thankfully it turns out I did 90% of when the servers were up and set it aside)
3 - Far Cry 2 (not as long as the above two and perhaps a bit shorter than a few others I have... but it has a long online grind which is worse than a normal grind)

Highest skill based platinums:
1 - Any Fighting game that requires doing significant challenges (Marvel vs Capcom 3, Persona Ultimax, Dead or Alive 5, so forth)
2 - Armoured Core: Verdict Day (Me and another player did this, a game that requires 4 people (so we were usually with randoms), and if someone is bad then they get wasted fast. Against online bosses that are real tough)
3 - Catherine (Babel was tough)

Most boring / tedious platinums I earned:
1 - Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness (Bad, predictable, just dull and the only game on my list I've just skipped after halfway. None of that is it being a VN. I play plenty which I enjoy)
2 - Shenmue (Just not good and shocked me as the series has a rep. I've heard the second is better but may not bother after this one)
3 - MIND≒0 (wasn't good, interesting, and had a grind)

Platinums that I did not achieve, but wanted:
1 - Resistance 2 (server closure)
2 - Mortal Kombat Vita 2011 (server closure)
3 - Street Fighter 4 (May try and do it down the road. Frustrating experience the challenges)

Most fun platinums:

1 - Graveyard Keeper, very long game but I really enjoyed it. Similar feel to Stardew but with more corpses.
2 - Dark Souls Remastered, After playing Bloodborne I pretty much went straight into this and it was a blast. Some parts were sure challenging but I think some of the fun comes from beating those challenges. Later played it on the PS3 and had just as much fun.
3 - Witcher 3, one of the few games of this length to keep me interested for so long, even the random side quests tended to be interesting, and even when mundane tended to have interesting or funny characters.
Honorable Mentions - Cat Quest and Subnautica, those games were more enjoyable than they had any right being.

Most grindy platinums:
1 - 7 Days to Die, 2500 player kills with dead servers, big map, no friendly fire in coop, and without an exploit. Farming mats for 2500 pipebombs and making a rig to kill in coop at their bed each time i dropped a bomb worked though, albeit a grind.
2 - GTA 5, I didn't enjoy the multiplayer and got Rank 100 by soloing the same mission over and over, for I think 2 weeks. GTA:O used a system where your exp earned was tied to how long the mission took (getting 100% exp at 15 minutes, 50% at 7.5 minutes, etc), so I'd do a mission in two minutes, wait for 13 minute at the end point.
3 - Sims 3, most all of the trophies were tied to in-game achievements, and would pop when the achievement unlocked, but so many were glitched. If it glitched, you couldn't just retry it, since the game unlocked the in-game achievement, which was shared across saves, so you had to delete the system and save data, re-install, and download a backed up save file for EVERY attempt at EVERY bugged achievement, making it all very time consuming.

Highest skill based platinums:
1 - Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, the game has 3 main characters, and you have to beat every optional boss with all 3. One character is super slow, and another very frail, making each boss a trial. One boss has the ability to make around a half dozen copies of himself, as well as turn invisible, and his abilities stack. I remember fondly being juggled in the air by a small army of invisible bosses who can two shot me, only kept alive by the ability that makes it so you can't die via quick attacks (there has to be a brief pause between hits, which didn't happen when juggled). This is the only PS3 game I really wish had the PS4 screen record feature.
2 - Bloodborne, it was the first Soulsborne game I played and to get the platinum you have to fight a boss in an optional dungeon (that give you 50% max hp) that can often one shot you, and I swear the ceiling messes up his jump attacks (outside of that dungeon he doesn't have a ceiling in his arena, and his jumps felt a lot more predictable). On top of a tough game, that boss challenge requires perfect play.
3 - Dead Space 2, Hardcore mode was pretty brutal, good length game on a tough difficulty, where if you die the game deletes your save, which you only get 3 of throughout the playthrough. Part of the challenge was playing for so long without saving or stopping, but there were a few cheap deaths (wall tentacle) that mean you just need to be on your A game or lose hours of progress.

Most boring / tedious platinums I earned:
1 - Assassin's Creed Origins, this is the game that made me vocally tell myself to never buy another AC game. The series has never been super, but good enough, and Origins killed me with boredom. The entire game is go to X place and look at a thing, maybe follow someone or kill a guy, but it's made worse for me by the fact that the actual gameplay when not doing missions feels like the best AC title I've played, but the gameplay in the story is so boring for me. After beating it, I made a word document of everything you do in each mission (literally read through guides to do this) and then wrote how long it took (time taken from video guides that didn't have any messing around in it). A mission of go to place and talk to a guy could take 40 minutes, it's wild.
2 - Far Cry 5, similar to AC:O but to a much less degree. Big fan of the series but I just found the game to be one note and dull. Gameplay wise one of the best FC game I've played, but the story made it drag.
3 - Prince of Persia, the game itself was just boring, but i'm happy I went back and got the platinum. Gameplay was dull and bosses were either disguised quick time events or used cheap shots for the illusion of difficulty.
Honorable Mentions to every LEGO game, they always bore me but are enchanting enough to buy for 5$ on sale, and Dark Souls 2 which somehow made Soulsborne boring for me.

Platinums that I did not achieve, but wanted:
1 - Stardew Valley, Only missing 2 trophies but I suck at twinstick shooters
2 - Yakuza 0, Awesome game, enjoyed 100% playthru and Legend Difficulty, but Climax battles make me sad. This would be my #1 most enjoyed platinum if I had it, even spending like 120 hours getting 100% campaign was enjoyable.
3 - Prototype, Getting Platinum Medals in all events is too rough for me, requires perfect timing while the controls aren't ideal (2009 game)

There are over 6000 accounts on the original PS3 version that only have the Tactical Challenger trophy left before the platinum. There's quite a few people who gave up on this trophy on the PS4 remaster.

You can definitely say this is a true platinum breaker. Took me around 10 - 12 hours just to do Challenge 6, because the two Bogeys were the real killer for me. Felt fucking good to finally beat it.

Always feels good to earn a platinum in something others can't do because of lack of skill.

I might try it again some day, but I just need to actually focus on the game to do it. I only beat the first challenge and that was when the game came out on PS3. Even playing through for the rest of the trophies more recently I didn’t feel like I was in the space to tackle the challenges by the time I beat the game on hard or whatever the highest required one was. And it’s been probably over a year by now, not a great place to just jump back in lol.

I may get the Bayonetta/Vanquish bundle on the PS4. It's been a long time since I played Bayonetta, and I have no plans to play the PS3 version since I plan to drop the console altogether sometime early next year.

Hopefully Vanquish is an actual proper remaster on the PS4, and not the lazy garbage Ubisoft does with their games.

The only reason I platted this was there was an event on the forum.  @Superbuu3 hosted it IIRC.  There was like 15 of us and we all played it together.  And platted it at the same time.

Haha yeah this was fun, took me a while to work out what your PSN ID used to be XD. I think by the end only 10 of us got the plat

Really awesome idea for a topic! I’m constantly searching for new games and recommendations, or new challenges to check out so a topic like this makes it easy to see what everyone else has played and enjoyed during their own journey. I modified my list slightly because I had such a hard time deciding lol.

Most fun platinums:
1 - Steep
2 - Dragon’s Dogma
3 - Days Gone

4 - Guacamelee

5 - Steamworld Dig 2

Most grindy platinums:
1 - The Last of Us (because I platted this one twice.. whyyy)
2 - Assassin’s Creed III (brutally tedious 100% completion)
3 - AC Brotherhood (PS3) - The multiplayer grind took me the bulk of my summer

4 - The Last Guardian (worst trophy list I’ve ever seen)

Highest skill based platinums:
1 - Devil May Cry
2 - Call of Duty: World at War
3 - Sekiro

Most boring / tedious platinums I earned:
1 - The Last Guardian
2 - Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Platinums that I did not achieve, but wanted:
None so far.. I pretty much plat everything I play sooner or later.

I'm probably not the best person for this thread since i love tormenting myself, but here we go.

Most fun platinums:
1 - Monster Hunter world
2 - Vanquish/hotline miami
3 - Track Mania Turbo

Most grindy platinums:
1 - 7 Days To Die - the virtual representation of aids, I'd rather use a cactus as a improvised butt plug then endure this again.
2 - GTA IV
3 - UFC 2009 Undisputed

Highest skill based platinums:
1 - I Am Bread - F**k waterboarding, the CIA should just force domestic terrorists and war criminals to play this sh*t as a form of torture. They'll gain all the intel they need in a jiffy.
2 - Trackmania Turbo
3 - OlliOlli 2/ Surgeon Simulator

Most boring / tedious platinums I earned:
1 - 7 Days to die
2 - EA UFC 3
3 - Prototype

Platinums that I did not achieve, but wanted:
1 - Super Meat Boy - this and I am bread are my dream platinums, i do fully intend to make it my 150th platinum, just need to get my schedule figured out and ready since I'll be devoting a significant amount of time towards it

2 - UFC Undisputed 3 - Dead servers :'(
3 - Ninja Gaiden Σ2: Plus - it's physically impossible to platinum due to bad programming and a lack of play testing.
