First game done! Unlike previous years, I really don't have any kind of list planned out this time around. Since the event is only 2 months this time around, I think I'll see what comes naturally this month and then look towards filling in the blanks in September.

Kicking off day one with a number already: Astro's Playroom in the number 3 spot. I had a bunch of the miscellaneous, level specific trophies to finish up & a handful of collectibles. Took about an hour to earn the platinum for a remarkably, fun launch game. Then I doubled down for another half hour & did the DLC speedrun for 100%

 

I'm going to start one of my VNs tonight. The plan is to read a bit every night; Muv-Luv I take to the gym with me & read on the treadmill (there's a long way to go here). But the other two are from EastAsiaSoft, so expected to be short.

Finished my first game for the event. A cute little indie game in Donut County... and my first digital purchase since inFamous First Light (I'm staunchly physical only lol) but broke down for $4 rather than getting an expensive eBay copy of the limited print from iam8bit. Anyways, cute, short, sweet, trash panda. An adorable little story, and a fun silly time all around. On sale in the store for a few days more, and recommend it, albeit brief. Next up: Stray! Curious how I will like it as a dog person

1/5 of the way there, though I wouldn't call it stressful. Unpacking is a really neat puzzle game involving organization. Having a bunch of moving boxes in my dad's office waiting for my new house to be built(a 12 foot by 12 foot shed with only three rooms), I decided to practice my own unpacking skills for my next move. I just moved out of my old townhouse and am waiting for the new shedshack to be built so I will be living in my parent's backyard for the rest of my life. We decided on this because if I had stayed in that townhouse I'd be unable to sell it due to the awful real estate economy these days. So now I am the watch guard of my mom and dad watching for their inevitable death by old age(Dad just turned 76 this July).

 

Need to get some sleep and then we'll see what comes next...

Anyways, to Im2Fast_4U, I hope you enjoy that Donut County platinum because boy howdy, you've got guts to tackle FFIX considering it has the worst trophy in the game. (Think that jump rope moon in Super Mario Odyssey.) I do appreciate the FFVII and FFVIII plans - I have both those games platted and they are really fun to platinum thanks to the in-game cheats.

First game done! Pretty fun little indie stealth game, though one child and one level for "don't get caught" were particularly frustrating. Never heard of it before.

Working on Chrono Cross now, using Optinoob's guide. I'm going to do each of his videos a day to avoid burnout, but right now I am farming the fleas in the Shadow Forest tree to get close to 100 battles so I can just farm for stats after each boss battle(5-8 battles for ghost stats) to get the remainder of the 500 battles for that one trophy. Playing on my PS5 and it feels a bit faster due to the drive speed. (As I said, I will probably have to ditch my PS4 as it's on its last legs. Makes sense as I have had it since before trophies existed so it's pretty ancient. )

Finally finished Fall Guys for number three! And finished number two which I am less enthused about but glad I got another number down. It was a cute game but it kept crashing and sometimes I got caught when maybe I shouldn't have. I'm a sucker for stealth games sometimes especially when it's a cute wittle bunny.

Even if I probably won't get a badge (and sure as shit no full badge), why not do this for the sake of doing it. Finished Chocobo Mystery Dungeon as my 0.

 

It's and oddball. We picked it up as a dungeon-crawler after having enjoyed Void Terrarium more than we anticipated (thx bestie!) and as that Chocobo was completely fine. It was motivating enough getting better gear, leveling up and tinkering around with new classes for example. But you do notice that it's a port from the Wii, because it's a bit cheap in the story and visual department. The grind at the end wasn't the worst thing ever, but still 100% pointless.

 

If you feel like a dungeon-crawler RPG is something you crave, this one is good enough on a sale. But if you want a round and great RPG experience... nah, not really.

On a roll, with number 0 filled in. This time instead of the newest trophy compatible system, it's on the oldest with Pixar's Up. I was playing this couch co-op with a family member, we had a few levels left to finish the story, & then cleanup was on me. That didn't take too long. 

 

Next up, who knows. I'm trying to chip away at NFS Heat, but some of the speed traps & long jumps are giving me trouble. I'll get there.
