Popular Post Walt the Dog
The Sims 3 Pets: 100% (https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/1106-the-sims-3-pets/Wdog-999) Β Bit more glitchy than the original game, albeit mainly in gameplay and freezing ways rather than the dreaded trophy ways. Also a bit more involved overall since the trophy list has quite a bit of pet involvement and you need a sim to take care of them, the list itself is more dense overall due to an increase of challenge compilation trophies over the previous game, and they made the moodlet manager grindy enough to get here that it's not worth bothering with it, especially since it runs on charges now instead of just being infinite. Definitely glad I did this one second since it feels like this list was catered more towards people who already did the original even if it's still ultimately more a grind than anything else. If nothing else, I'm done with The Sims for the time being, though I'm also not sure what I wanna do next since I didn't really have anything planned.

Popular Post ExistentialSolid
Tier 5 - Complete! Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours (0.53%) [Bounty] - Wanna hear about the toughest platinum trophy I've earned this year? Well, forget the tired 1CC requirements we often see for shmups of this caliber, because this notorious arcade bullet hell demands absolute perfection. Let's take a quick look at two of the game's hardest trophies! Β Eye of the Hawk - On paper, earning the "Eye of the Hawk" trophy sounds pretty simple. Just destroy all 47 of the game's bosses with a "burst counter", a timing-based special move involving red and gold lasers, and you're set. So, what's the catch? Well, the only way to reach one particularly elusive boss is to complete all 220 missions in the game's "Chronicle Saviour" mode, a mind-numbing trek through a small selection of ever-repeating stages and boss encounters. By the time you're 50 missions deep, you'll swear a rogue AI stitched this entire thing together as you wish for death amid the faint glow of distant stars and the roar of a soundtrack that has no business being so damn good. I'd recommend finding something to watch or listen to on your journey, because I spent a solid 59 hours working my way through these missions and I needed the distraction to keep my sanity. Β Β Repetition aside, completing all 220 missions will help you hone your skills for challenges to come and give you plenty of opportunities to "burst counter" kill 43 of the 47 bosses you must defeat along the way. The other four bosses need to be taken care of during a several hour detour in "Chronicle" mode, another mission-based mode that revels in its absurd length and nonsensical composition (I'd imagine you'd need at least 200 hours to clear every mission here if the game required it). Thankfully, you can jump straight to the missions that feature your missing bosses and get the hell out of there. Oh... and there's one last thing I forgot to mention. The game doesn't have any special menus to keep track of which bosses you've "burst counter" killed so get yourself a spreadsheet ready and follow this extremely helpful guide by ThanatosNinja2. Β Bird of Legend - After honing your skills in "Chronicle Saviour" mode, you'll be ready to start chasing perfection. No more nonsense, you have one goal here: Complete zones Q, U, and Z without taking any damage. A full run of all three zones will typically last between 13-15 minutes and you're going to have to be in top form if you want to get through it all without taking a scratch. Some of the biggest obstacles for me throughout the run included: the G.T.V fight (the boss of zone Z), the first half of zone Z with all the turrets, and second half of zone U with swarms of enemy bullets. A lot of players also report having trouble with the boss of zone U, Hungry Gluttons, but if you take the time to learn how to consistently burst counter the boss, you'll have a much easier time getting through it. I used @BrandedBerserk's Bird of Legend run as my primary reference while piecing together my own run and highly recommend checking out his video if you're planning to tackle Dariusburst: CS in the future. Not including the hours spent studying, it took me 23 hours of practice to successfully complete my own Bird of Legend run and the relief I felt when I finished was euphoric. I'd been itching to get Bird of Legend done ever since it was first posted on the UR Cleanup 2021 bounty board, so I'm thrilled to have finally conquered it! I've included my own run below (routing tips/comments are included in the description) if you'd like to check it out.Β Β Dead Cells (4.37%/0.34%) - For me, Dead Cells has long existed in this hazy periphery of sorts beyond my personal preferences.Β It's no secret that I'm not a fan of roguelikes and Dead Cells, despite all the tales I've heard of its greatness, wasn't about to change my mind... but a generous assist mode, 20 UR trophies, it being included with PS+ Extra, and a temptingly short length (courtesy of assist mode) had me forgetting all about those silly "preferences" and diving on in. While my impressions of the game are no doubt warped given that I had assist mode on for 100% of my play time, relied heavily on guides, and made full use of save scumming to beat bosses without taking a hit, Dead Cells has a satisfying Castlevania-esque fighting system, great enemy and level design, and plenty of tough bosses. By the end, I was effortlessly dashing through enemy attacks, cruising through maps, and had settled into a groove with my favorite weapons and mutations. None of it feels especially memorable, perhaps par for the course with roguelikes, but it's still quite a challenge. Even with assist mode on, beating the game with 5 Boss Cells active and crushing the Collector without taking damage is no easy feat.Β Still, getting 100% of the trophies in 22 hours feels like highway robbery. Hyper Void (0.51%) - Channeling the forgotten energies of games like Tempest and other shmups I'm too young to have played, Hyper Void is a 29 level dive into... well, the void of space. Blasting away at enemies and bosses with three different-but-kinda-similar weapons (that can be used simultaneously) provides a familiar, and somewhat cathartic, space-faring thrill, but there isn't much in the way of originality or difficulty to keep your attention. An extra playthrough on Hyper Mode serves as the toughest challenge in the trophy set, but, even with its "one-hit" stipulation, it's made much easier thanks to the game's generous checkpoint system, beefed up ship, and plenty of armor powerup drops. In 2023 and beyond, there really isn't a great reason to play Hyper Void unless you're trying to boost your UR count or earn a few unusually rare trophies.Β It's a quick and breezy popcorn shooter that never tries to be anything more. Β Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (1.35%) - If you missed out on the Great PSNP Panic of 2020 over Fall Guy's "Infallible" trophy, then grab a snack sometime and poke through the game's forums (make sure you're looking through the original version's forums on PS4). Some threads have long since been deleted and most are currently closed, but it's one hell of a read and you'll get all sorts of insight into the human condition and how it relates to trophy hunting. Every so often, an in-game event comes around that makes the "Infallible" trophy, normally awarded for winning 5 shows in a row, much easier than usual and I shamelessly opted to participate in one of these events to snag my third stack of this trophy (the only game I've stacked up to this point). From there, the remaining trophies were a matter of luck, practice, and grinding, but I had fun working my way through the list again and enjoyed all the new content that's been added since I last played. If you've never tried it, it's a great 3D-platforming-battle-royale-esque multiplayer game that tests your speedrunning skills and your ability to perform under pressure. Give it a go! Β Β OlliOlli World (1.56%/0.68%) - When I first set foot into the endlessly cheery OlliOlli World, I was filled with cynicism. My experience with OlliOlli 1 and 2, while somewhat nebulous given how long ago I played them, made me want to snap my controller like a skateboard in frustration. While stages were short, they required so much precision and trial-and-error that they left me groaning in agony until I finally landed the perfect run. Roll7 made a crucial trade-off with OlliOlli World that alleviates a lot of the frustration I felt with the first two games: stages are now larger and more ambitious, but require less precision to navigate. Bailing is more difficult, you no longer need to "land" your tricks with a tap of X, and you can get away with performing very early inputs at the cost of your score (especially helpful with manuals when chaining together a full level). In addition, the difficulty curve is much smoother with great tutorials and a more gradual ramp up in what the game will demand from the player. Β Don't let this trade-off trick you into thinking OlliOlli World will be an easy platinum. On the contrary, OlliOlli World requires a greater degree of mastery than either OlliOlli 1 or 2 and it will keep you on your toes you with brutal challenges, steep score requirements, and blistering tests of endurance. I spent hours trying to complete some of the more difficult end-game Radysus challenges and even pushed beyond the plat to mop up all of the optional challenges in the game's final area, Los Vulgas. My playtime for both the main game and DLC clocked in at around 44 hours, but, with a little more time and practice, I could easily see myself (alongside most other players with the platinum) tearing up the leaderboards for any given level. It's a masterpiece of game design with a trophy list that propels you towards greatness and one of the best games I've played in 2023. Β Β Β Β Β Tentative Tier 6! In the next few weeks, I'll be stumbling over my 2000th Ultra Rare trophy. I've been working towards this goal for a long time now and I hope to put a cap on my UR hunting career with platinum #300 (which will appear in Tier 7 if I make it that far this year). From that point onwards, while I'll of course continue to play challenging games, I want to make one simple resolution: to stop playing literal garbage to bump up my UR numbers.Β I can only hope 2000 of these damn things will finally be enough to satisfy my unhealthy compulsions. Popular Post AvengedEvil
Tier 3 Game 2: Draw a Stickman Epic 2 (NA) Β Β A very straight forward platinum. You have to create a stickman, play through both modes (Story and Drawn Below) and get all collectibles (chapter select available). Drawn Below also requires a hardcore playthrough and a speedrun. The speedrun trophy took me a few tries, but it wasn't that bad at all. Even with a major mistake I was able beat the target time easily. It was a nice and short-winded experience. Popular Post Cruscah
Β Playstation VR Worlds is like a demo of what the VR headset is capable of, the game has five unique experiences and most of them are great. For the platinum, you need to complete every single challenge on every mini-game. Let's talk about them separately, from my favorite to my least favorite: Danger Ball: basically pong with your head, so simple yet so fun. The hardest challenges are here, beating 8k points in score attack took me 3 hours of attempts (and that's after already being used to the gameplay from playing other stuff). VR Luge: you're rolling down a hill with a bunch of obstacles that you have to avoid moving your head, it's very fun to play. The hardest challenge by far is beating the tour (all 4 tracks in a row) with 10 seconds left in the clock. The London Heist: FPS with a cool story, the graphics reallyΒ surprised me on this one. It's probably the mini-game that the community liked the most, the devs even made an entire game based on this (which I'll definitely play at some point). The hardest challenge is to get gold on every shooting range, but I wouldn't classify it as hard. Ocean Descent: not much to say about this one. You're lowered into the ocean in a shark-proof cage, it's a great demo of the VR to show to your family, there's no gameplay. There are no challenges aswell, you just need to complete the dives. Scavengers Odyssey: motion sickness simulator, I had to stop playing every 5 minutes to not throw up. This stupid mini-game made me experience something that I never want to again and I'm now scared to try some VR games that I had interest on. Luckily none of the challenges are hard and you can even use the headset on your knee to go for some of them. If you think that you can handleΒ Scavengers Odyssey, I would highly recommend this game. Β Β Multiplayer shooters are my cup of tea since I started gaming and, surprisingly, I had never played Overwatch before. After being invited by some friends to boost most of the trophies, I couldn't deny the offer.Β I can't even imagine how much of a nightmare it must be to get all those characters specific trophies legitimately, some of the requirements are crazy. After finishing the boosting sessions, I could play the game for fun to grind the rest. Bastion ended up being a way of life for me, Kiriko was my support choice when necessary and I just couldn't get myself into playing with any of the tanks. Β Spoiler Dead Cells (4.37% / 0.34%) 100% Deep Rock Galactic (0.64% / 0.45%) 100% Hunter's Arena: Legends (1.88%) 100% MotoGP 10/11 (0.68%) 100% MX vs ATV Legends (3.18%) 100% Nidhogg (0.39%) 100% Nidhogg 2 (0.00%) 89% Overwatch 2 (0.54% / 0.20%) 100% PlayStation VR Worlds (0.61%) 100% Β Lonely Mountains: Downhill should be my next UR completion, but I'll hold it for an update with more games.
Popular Post MrHealthy
Lone Survivor https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/2136-lone-survivor/MrHealthy What's going on UR crew! Been a hot minute since I finished tier 2. Two months to the day actually. Finally got around to a new game to start my tier 3. Lone Survivor is a 2D side scrolling survival horror game. It's got silent hill vibes and was decently creepy on my first blind playthrough. Seeing as you have to do multiple playthroughs though it loses all of it's horror elements by the end as I knew where every enemy was, and was basically speed running it. It is also not particularly difficult. Even the expert mode is nothing really. Β There are 13 UR's and not a single uncommon or common trophy in the game. The rarity likely just comes down the the fact that there are quite a few missable trophies, stuff that you wouldn't even stumble into accidentally. All of it is pretty straight forward when you know what you are doing. You just have to know what you are doing. The game is short, 3 to 4 hours on a blind playthrough, 2 to 3 once you know what you are doing. So if you do mess up it's not that big of a deal and if you notice it immediately you can also just close the game as it only saves once you sleep. Took me 3 playthroughs overall with a little save scumming to get different endings. Without a blind playthrough and with a little planning 2 playthroughs plus scumming would easily be achievable. Β Overall it was alright. Mechanically sound, no bugs, decent enough art and sound. It was a monthly game on ps+ years ago so you may have it. And it also goes on sale for $1 on the regular (like right now). It's a pretty easy UR plat that only takes about 12 hours total so might be worth your time.Β I will mention though, for the trophy Muso (Listen to your Personal Stereo) the guide just says that the director will offer it to you at some point. That is not entirely accurate, you must first interact with the signs on the music store until your character says they wish they had a music player. Only then will the director offer it to you and you must get it before dealing with mother. Edited September 8, 2023 by MrHealthy
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Start with Tier 2, falling behind pace to beat my goals. Going to make a push by completing at least 5 URs for the 13 Plats of Halloween event. Β Through the Darkest of Times looked interesting from afar and was pushed by its limited time remaining on PS+ Extra. It feels weird to call this one a game or to say that I enjoyed the mechanics due to its subject matter. Its a resource management, strategy game. The game play is very simple and straight forward. You control members of the resistance, effectively your party, and assign them actions every turn during a chapter. You risk each party member getting seen, injured, arrested or killed during their turn based on the type of activity you assign, from gaining access to a factory, buying paint, or steal explosives. It is this need to balance risk and reward in attempting to achieve your goal for the chapter.Β All of this against a narrative of your party being a resistance group in Germany during the rise and machinations of Hilter. The vignettes, news articles, and weaving of your party members' stories into each turn is gripping and horrifying. There is a lot of text, with very minimal voice overs. There are minimalistic, but effective animation panels which illustrate the vignettes and major chapter objective completions. It is a sobering reminder of the world events it depicts.Β It is a good game overall, but it is tough to outright recommend.
