Easy plat thanks to an early patch for the game introducing a debug menu that lets you pretty much wreck the game and warp to whatever screens you want, making the entire plat piss-easy. Only mildly annoying part was getting a no-hit clear on the second boss due to having to dodge an attack or two in the first phase before you can just unload, but pretty much every other boss could be killed near-instantaneously on spawn. Also my first time actually using selective patching to get a plat and honestly not too bad of a process on that end. Went a hell of a lot better than when I tried to do the 1.00 version trick back in the day and had to enlist someone else to just make the proxy server for me because I couldn't set it up to save my life.

 

In any case, one plat left until I reach 25 games for the year. Not sure if I wanna still run through Conception II or if I wanna just get it over with on something else (thinking Goodbye Volcano High since that's still somehow UR by a healthy margin, but it might not survive into next year's event) and just do Conception II as an extra plat.

Yep they are still up and you have to boost indeed  

You need to save up/buy 10.000 credits first, in order to unlock certain weapons/mechs. But the game is pretty much functional and populated even. You need a 4-man boosting session, but the game is pretty easy to complete...as long as the randoms don't invade you 😂

I had way more fun than expected with this one. It's a first person magic shooter in a roguelike environment, you are a young wizard trying to conquer the ever-changing labyrinth that is the Ziggurat. Not really sure why it's UR, maybe because people didn't bother with the Hard mode (perfectly cheese-able) but either way...onto the list it goes!

@poetic_justice_ Actually, for Hawken you don't specifically need a four players boosting session: one more boosting partner is enough.

 

Three other players may be needed for the Trophy requiring you to kill three enemies in the spawn of 10 seconds from each, but this can easily be done against bots in Deathmatch training.

 

While getting enough credits for the weapon and the EMP, I got almost all the other Trophies, and eventually I cleaned up the list by boosting with just one friend.

 

Servers are active but almost dead, you may encounter a random or two by you can change your region so it is not an issue.

KejiCBZ, thank you for this gold mine of information. Yes, the 3 enemies/10 seconds trophy looked daunting. When I played Hawken (on an alt account) years ago, servers were active. Advanced players tore my noob mech to shreds in seconds. Getting three kills on live players, let alone three in ten seconds, seemed extremely difficult. It scared me away from the game. Well, that and being annihilated whenever a veteran player joined the match.

No problem, you can do it against bots, it's not that hard. Or if you really can't do it, do it with three people like Copanele suggested, but I don't think it's necessary. I completed the game in one day and there's plenty of people who did it in like 30 minutes, very easy Ultra Rare 100% 😁

Lot of collectables, a little nostalgia. Tried it out to take a break from DF.  Beat em up D&D.  Love it.

 

 Havent played anything for a couple months, but finally fired up the 3, and started on Dustforce.  I ve had it sitting there for a while with only the online done, and its time had come. I have Giga, Kilo, Peta and Tera done,  so i have a decent start but i m still amazed by how hard it is and how far i have to go.  Probably keep on this for several hours a week, and see where i get to.

Completed Uncharted 4 for my fourth game in tier 1.  

 

I just needed one trophy, the "...it" trophy.  I had 28 out of the 30 stars required on crushing.  I gave up on trying to acquire it years ago after trying so many times and failing.  I quit in disgust after failing the time requirement in the last stage by about 20 seconds and figured I would never get it.  But thanks to the gents at Uncharted Survival Star Hunters on Facebook I was able to finally achieve this trophy.  They went through the strats necessary to obtain 3 stars in the stages I was missing and we were able to get it easily on our first attempt.  In all the time I played this game I didn't realize you could snap the co-op bosses neck and insta-kill them.  These guys are professionals.

 

After 1047 hours into this game I can finally feel satisfied putting it to rest with a 100%.  If I didn't sign up for this event I don't think I would have pushed myself to try and complete it, so thank you to all the UR hunters who make this event possible.

 #335 - Wolfenstein 2

As usual, my lazy procrastinating ass missed out on the chance to nab the bounty for this game. But I’m grateful anyways as the bounty gave me that extra push I needed to finally take the plunge on this one. I absolutely love the Wolfenstein games and The New Colossus is regarded as one of the more infamous and prestigious platinums out there, so it was great to finally play it and add the platinum trophy to my list. It wasn’t easy, but ultimately it was one of the funnest and most rewarding trophy challenges I’ve undertaken to date and I loved every single second I spent chasing that perfect run. I honestly miss the high now that it’s over, and since there aren’t many plats out there quite like this, I’ll probably just end up doing the German stack next year for UR Cleanup 2024.

 

 

 #343 - SUPERHOT

This was quite a neat and innovative little shooter. At least it’s presented as a shooter up front, but in reality SUPERHOT is much more like a puzzle game disguised as an FPS. I had with it, even though it started to get pretty repetitive with the sheer number of playthroughs required. I found most of the challenges were pretty pointless and redundant, but the no death run and speed runs stood out and were interesting as they forced you to play the game a little differently. 

 

 

 

 #349 - My Friend Pedro: Blood, Bullets & Bananas

 

This game was bizarre, but what a little hidden gem it was! My Friend Pedro is a 2.5D side scroller twin-stick shooter game where you play as an assassin accompanied by a talking banana. The gameplay is AMAZING and feels like it took inspirations from sources like Max Payne, The Matrix, and John Wick. The environment is like a big playground full of enemies, and you must shoot, dodge, swing, wall jump, spin, somersault, and even skateboard your way to the end of each level while annihilating bad guys in super stylish ways, dipping in & out of slow motion bullet time, and chaining kills together to maximize your score. The scoring system is very similar to something like Hotline Miami, and S-ranking some of the levels can be quite tricky and require a lot of practice. But when you can finish a level in a single continuous combo it feels amazing. Highly recommend.

 

 

 #350 - Shadow Warrior

 

I first played Shadow Warrior 3 when the PS+ Extra catalog first launched a couple years ago, and thought it was one of the most unique FPS games I’d ever played. It kind of felt like a Doom style arena combat shooter with an Asian aesthetic, with a sprinkle of Ghostrunner mixed in with all the platforming, wall running, and katana action. Going back to the first modern entry in the series, Shadow Warrior lacks the platforming elements of SW3, but offers the same arena style combat and that is SO much fun. Dashing around the levels shooting and slicing up demons and using your chi powers just felt awesome, and I welcomed much more of a challenge this time around with the high stakes Heroic difficulty mode. It’s not exactly permadeath as the game saves your progress between chapters, but the trade off is that there’s 17 chapters and they can be extremely long (upwards of 90+ minutes). It actually wasn’t that bad and I think the 9/10 difficulty on the guide rating is too high, but some of the later chapters are brutal enough that it certainly earns its reputation as a tough platinum to earn. Highly recommend.

 

 

 

 #351 - The Amnesia Collection

 

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a modern horror classic that gained a lot of popularity and launched quite a few streamer’s careers when it came out a decade ago. It had been sitting in my backlog for quite some time until I decided to dust it off to kick off Halloween season 2023. I’ve decided to dedicate this whole month of October to playing some of the horror titles from my backlog, and I’m glad I picked this one to start off. It was fantastic! Dark, creepy, and atmospheric with a disturbing story ant its heart. The only reason this is UR though is because of the highly missable collectibles. The games themselves are quite short and easy, with the only challenging task coming in the form of a lone DLC trophy for for finishing Dark Descent on hard mode.

With just a little over 2 months left in the year I’m not sure how many more games I’ll be able to finish, but I do hope to try and finish one more tier if possible. Keep kickin ass everyone. Finished Mirror's Edge. This is one of my fav games of all time on ps3. Started this game via ps now in 2019 and only played the story once on easy. Platinumed this game in 2021 on ps now and finally in 2023 I bought a ps2 last year and started the dlc few days ago and got the 100%.

I never backed up my save file which means I needed to rush through the story again on easy to unlock these trials but it was worth it. I needed to remember few stuff again (Luckily I don't need to do these chapter trials again hahaha.)

I would rate the main game with a 7/10 difficulty.
DLC maybe a 8/10 
and if you really needed 99 stars instead of 90 I would say this would be a 9/10.

Also few tips for @Copanele and @Dzware who also wants to tackle this game in the near future.

A guy named "Ovendonkey" on YT have tutorials for all Time Trials. Here is the playlist and I also had a few tips of a friend of mine who plays this game regularly on a daily basis.

3 small tips:
1. Learn the "Side Jump Boost" which is very easy and really useful.
2. when you wallrun use the L2 button to slow down.
3. Use the wall run (L1) and while running kick (r2) on some trials. It helps you to not get damage from fall damage / you don't have to roll which saves a little bit time on some maps.

When you start. Look at the right or left after that push l1 while turning your character in the direction you need to go. 

 

You will get used to it, believe me, it's not that hard and changing your sensitivity also helps a lot because you turn faster of course (but it's not necessary I believe) but it's better to play at max sensitivity or at least higher than the standard sensitivity

Finished this up last night. Endless monster raising dungeon crawler. Shout out to @MMDE for the super comprehensive guide. Tusen takk min venn!

 

There is nothing really hard about this game, despite the battles getting much harder the deeper you go. Everything can be done in the earlier realms if you want. The reason this has ultra rare trophies is because every single mechanic in this game is either very grindy, has lot's of RNG or both. There is also just so many systems to learn and mechanics to remember that it is very overwhelming at the start. The Vita version I played also suffers from some pretty serious slowdown in some battles for seemingly no reason.

 

It took me about 30 hours all in spread out over a full year, but it felt like 100 due to the slowdown and RNG (though to be fair I barely touched it for many of those months). That said I absolutely would not have finished the game on PS4 as I would not have had the motivation to sit down for longer sessions. Being on Vita meant I could do a couple battles here and there when I had 10-20 mins of downtime then just putting it in rest mode for later. Actually kinda annoying that I missed the full year by 1 day. First trophy acquired 15^th Oct 2022, last trophy acquired 14^th Oct 2023. It will forever be stuck saying completed in 11 months and 4 weeks, rather then just saying completed in 1 year.

This is hilarious to me!! I used to have to put a divider to keep my cousin from cheating and looking at where I was at 🤣 He was just mad because I was better than him!! Congrats tho bud 😁

 

I just wanted to drop mention of this game I started playing called Godlike Burger. It's like Overcooked... Okay, like a version of Overcooked where you have to kill some customers for meat for your burgers!! It's been hilarious so far!

 

I only mention it because it's UR, but it looks like if 2 more s pop it won't be. Wanted to lock it in; not sure if I will plat it but just in case!!
